Just Kebab in Southend-on-Sea

Disappointingly replaced by "Edwards kebab". Lots of shiny new equipment then cost of which is reflected in the menu prices which have increased enormously but sadly the previous good quality is no more. Scrappy inadequate remnants of salad, kebab so strangely tasteless that appetites were killed before half the meal was eaten. Rest thrown away. Will NOT be returning.

I’ve ordered from this kebab three times. First when I moved to the area. It was nice, tasted good. However I was very ill, S&D. No one else I ate with was though. So a couple months later I gave them another chance - I shouldn’t have. Same thing happened. And last night I fancied a kebab so thought I’ll get one from over the road coz u remember it was nice. (I completely forgot what else happened as it was so long ago) I soon remember when I was up on the toilet all night and this morning. Coming out both ends. I don’t know why but it’s not a coincidence. I know not everyone has this reaction. But if you have a weak stomach I’d advice to steer clear.

Serving what might be called kit-kebabs (the ingredients are divvied into separate takeaway tubs to sort out personally) this establishment has to be applauded. The virtual large donner is, to my mind, super value for money and of mouthwatering quality. If you are a, die hard ready to eat fast foodie you may not want to fill the pitta yourself (especially if you've a few units of alcohol in tow). Magnificent, Five, thanks :-)

Fantastic Turkish grill food! Best in Southend, very tasty, fresh and good portion with value for money. Halal food which meets my dietary needs 😋.

I've just had my first kebab from here & it was awesome. Conveniently packed in separate containers for takeaway it tasted amazing when I got home & the portion size was excellent too. Thanks guys, will be back in on Tuesday most likely!

Thought we would try a new local kebab restaurant but wish we didn’t now, it was absolutely terrible. The entire order turned up stone cold, we had to reheat each meal in the microwave. The order was incorrect with multiple things missing. When we phoned to explain, they argued with us as if we were lying. They then agreed to send us the missing items which never came - we couldn’t believe it. Horrendous service and food.

the most horrific kebab ever, wrapped in a peice of tin foil and served with grated carrot and hummus with a public hair sticking out. as for a pitta bread, apart from rock solid it was smaller than a multi pack from lidl (and yes, my photo is a side plate)! Straight in the bin. Never again!!!!!!!

I went down to the kebab with only card forgetting it was cash only,and they gave a whole burger meal to me for free , such kind workers and best burger!! Highly recommended, amazing food aswell

I thought ordering a kebab was only acceptable after copious amounts of alcohol and when everywhere else is shut.... Then I discovered Just Kebab. The food was so clean tasting, staff polite, all came packaged separately and plenty of it (order a small chicken kebab and an extra pitta and there is enough to make 2 out of it). Have done collections and delivery and neither have disappointed. A big 5 stars for sober kebabs!

The BEST burgers, kebabs and cheesecake! In town

Our group ordered 3 meals. Chicken Shish Kebab didnt turn up. Called up to enquire about the missing meal. The order was repeated back to me with Chicken Shish top of the list. Was told it was left on the side and will be sent to me straight away. Some other chicken dish finally arrived over 30 mins later along with two dairy products of some description which no one in our party could understand what or why it has been sent to us. Couldn't eat it as chicken had a peculiar taste and I'd pretty much lost faith by this point.

Uber eats After waiting for 35 minutes after the stated time for delivery we called and were told the food just being packed into the car.... one hour later we got through again and were told it was now out for delivery and there had been a mistake. Then the food arrived.... and we were unimpressed with the complimentary flying ants that were squished into the pitta. Waiting three hours for a bin filler was not my idea of a good experience. Dreadful service.

Before everything happened we always used to buy here and was always good quality. Well this has maintained and probably improved, as all the salad was as though it was freshly chopped and was very tasty. We were very sceptical about the freshness to start with and was definitely proven wrong. Keep up the good work.

Terrible! The food was nasty and really greasy. Not only did they get the order wrong, fair enough they apologised and said they were really busy, the food that did arrive it was greasy and literally dripping in fat, yes it’s a kebab and you expect a bit of fat but I could pour the fat from the container once I tipped it onto kitchen roll to absorb some of the grease. The kids burger buns were burnt and inedible. When the forgotten items did arrive albeit hot the chips and cheese were cooked beyond recognition and just nasty and the mixed kebab just left a film of grease in your mouth, you would not have even known it was donner meat as it was so thin and was like eating a piece of lard. Once tried never forgotten !

I frequent this excellent place many times because I enjoy the good air that is exist in this place. The team is highly friendly and qualified. The service is exceptionally rapid. Also, the food you get is magnificent. I came more than once and I was never disappointed. The cost is reasobable. I recommend this place to all my friends.

We always get our takeaways from here, great fresh food and service. Always enjoy our meals and love the kebabs. Chicken nuggets are a real favourite with our little girl too! Great place, you won’t be disappointed.

Really really nice better food than the Turkish place in Southend

First time trying Just Kebab this evening having lived near it for 18 months! .... It was absolutely lovely and so fresh! People of Eastwood you will love it! 10/10. Had a Chicken Shish kebab and chips. Everything tasted really fresh! The salad was really refreshing and the service was great when I called the order through and collected it! :)

Simple kebab eatery with extensive menu at very reasonable prices. All food looked fresh. Lamb donor wrap tasty and excellent. Friendly people. Easy off road parking.

We often have a kebab from here and the food is delicious, but on the couple of occasions we have booked a delivery it has been late. Once so late we told the driver to take it back

Myself & a work college entered the premises hungry. After a few minutes waiting to be served we were meet by a rude guy that had trouble speaking English. We ordered our food and after being spoken to rudely we decided to leave. We left hungry.

Don't let the budget name or price put you off. This is a good quality kebab at great value. The £25 meal for two is great value with probably enough to feed three. Delivery can be slow at peak times but the barbecue flavours they get into their food is worth the wait. Highly recommended for a takeaway treat.

By far!!! Miles!!! The best kebab in Leigh, probably even Essex, quality produce great service and always cooked hot to perfection. Highly recommend great for diets too!! As it is all cooked on skewers over hot coals, even the salad is better here. I recommend a chicken shish with salad yum! Also one of the only kebab places I have found to be gluten friendly as a lot of other places marinades alone aren't suitable for ceoleac *********

Spot on food, little pricey but worth it for th decent food. Chicken and lamb mixed kebab is nice veggie girlfriend enjoys the halloumi kebab! Garlic sauce is also lovely!

Order was wrong, food was cold, lamb was tough, chicken was dry, kofte not cooked properly. When we called to give feedback they were not interested! First and last visit here..... AVOID!!

Excellent kebab shop; I'm a regular using it at least every month (I love kebab!) and it's as good as any in the city, I've tried many and the best authentic restaurants in London and this definitely compares.

We have been using this kebab shop for a while now and it has never failed to deliver excellent quality meat fresh crisp salad and nice chips. Cannot fault it. Perfect.

Quality of the lamb is drastically nose dived, poor fatty meat not fit for the dog bowl , had to bin it

The meat is really good, and the chips are nice too. Practically opposite ours so we are regulars. But more often than not we'll order a different kebab place because we know how good they are. Definitely recommend this place to others though! Don't knock it! 😉

Fantastic little place set back from the roadside. Internal decor very classy and overall cleanliness was above standard. Burgers were juicy and perfectly cooked - far from the greasy burgers you normally associate with a kebab shop. Would recommend!

we went in the NEW kebab shop the day it opened . it was ok bit hit and miss but it was half price so we tried again a week or so later . well it was worse , about 4 bits of chicken in a pitta the size of a newspaper. not impressed. i would of thought being next to a pub it would at least try and look after the locals , maybe stay open later . oh wll what do i know ! maybe they were having a bad day BOTH DAYS .

The food is fresh and the meat is good quality, however, in no time at all the food is stone cold. I know they keep the chilli sauce in the salad chiller and now server it separately to prevent cold food, but this has not resolved having cold meat straight after being served.

The home made chicken doner kebab is excellent and fresh tasting salad made this the best kebab I've had in a long time.

Best chicken doner kebab around Southend. Definitely recommended, interior is also very nice. Love it!
