Jurassic Grill Loch Lomond in West Dunbartonshire

My boys had a great time here, food just so so, but staff are nice and friendly. Worthy for kids who loved dinosaurs.

Forgive the bad language but this restaurant is blooming awful all round. The worst thing by far though is the food The food is all, without exception, poor. There is no way in he'll that there's a chefz or anyone been to catering school in the kitchen. The burgers are beyond rank - poor produce poorly cooked, honestly inedible. The 'melts' are raw baguettes that barely get any heat, we sent ours back, said we weren't paying and instead went outside and got salt and chilli chicken from the street food across the plaza. Dinosaurs are adequate for the young ones but beyond that, this is barely a restaurant.

Visited with my family yesterday (22/04/25). Waitress was friendly however the downfall was the food. Ordered the Raptor Burger which was disappointing, it seemed as though the burger was microwaved The food is overpriced for what you get. Would not eat here again or recommend

8 of us in today for a meal. Service was decent ,food was average but ffs how on earth can yous actually without wearing a mask steal £3-35 per can of juice of people who have already spent a fortune at the place.

We went on the 20th of April for my daughters 13th, we were told by the sea life they make a fuss over birthdays but there wasn’t much of one. We did show up early and offered to come back but they said they could give us a table and we were happy with that. Seats are horrible to sit on though, hard and uncomfortable. The food was bland, chips soggy, baked potato lukewarm warm, and pizza didn’t look like the picture so my daughter wouldn’t eat it. Prices are ridiculous for what you get as well. Place looks awesome, concept is amazing but the food is crap. Sound affects in bathroom are far too loud, my daughter actually got upset and needed me to go with as she’s autistic and it was too much. Bathrooms also smell really bad. We were just really disappointed because we came from Edinburgh specifically for this experience and it didn’t live up to the hype. Also the freaky Easter bunny that snuck up on my daughter was a bit weird …

This place was really cool. The food wasn't great but we knew when we went it wasnt about the food. My 7 year old nephew loves dinosaurs so the experience for him was great. The service was wonderful and the staff were excellent, very friendly and chatty. Would probably go back with my nephew just for the fun experience 🦕🦖

To be fair we arrived early and the duty manger told us we needed to come back at our time . I noticed many empty seats she said people had booked these which is fair but she said you never know there might be a few car crash’s and people might just turn up . I felt this to be a ridiculous thing to say . The food was terrible and overpriced the adults and children didn’t eat much . Service slow . The atmosphere was bland and boring for the kids . The waitress only came round with the dinosaur puppet once I complained . Do not waste your money .

Easily worst burger I’ve ever had. Cheapest cheese slices, supermarket quality meat, and cheap burger bun… I don’t normally complain about food but when you pay restaurant price for takeaway quality you have to say something. Chips boiled in oil that wasn’t changed since jurrasic times…

A lot of fun for the kids. It was kind of dead, but it was still fun for them. The food was okay. The blue burger looked unappetizing at first but it tasted pretty good.

We went to the grill for my wee man's 4th birthday. The venue and staff were spot on can't fault them. The food was awful my burger and chips were cold and my burger was burnt and dry, not even hot enough to melt the cheese. Wanted to complain but my son was having a ball with the dinosaurs and the staff with the small dinosaurs. To the waiting staff thank you you made my son's birthday. To the kitchen staff there was only 2/3 tables getting food, prep the food to a way higher standard.

We've been twice now for kid's birthday dinners and this last time was much poorer. They had no diet lemonade, the food took ages (about 50 kind) and wasn't that warm.

Jurassic Grill is a fantastic dining experience, especially for dinosaur-loving kids! The themed décor is incredible, making you feel like you’ve stepped into a prehistoric world. The food was delicious, with a great variety of options for both kids and adults. While it is a little on the expensive side, the quality and experience make it worth it. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall atmosphere. The kids were completely entertained throughout, making it an easy and enjoyable meal. If you’re looking for a fun, unique restaurant with great food, this is definitely a place to try!

We went here last night as a family, with my wife and two sons. My youngest is 2 and a massively into dinosaurs so we thought this would be a fun experience for him and it really was. The second we walked through the doors he became so excited at the sight of all the dinosaurs in the restaurant and wouldn't stop talking about them the entire time. The staff are incredibly friendly and make so much effort with the little ones too. It was a lovely family experience and is located in a beautiful location. We will definitely be going back.

Service was great , food was terrible chips were bad, burgers bad ,chicken bad , bad bad grill this place should be called , never ever go there agian , change the cooks or retrain them microwaves should be banned,

Went for my 21st birthday yesterday and had a really good time. The atmosphere is fantastic and the hostess was very kind, she really tried to make my birthday special. I had a good laugh too. Even bought a hat!

READ THIS BEFORE GOING. First of all there isn’t any usual music as you hear in restaurants, instead they blast dinosaurs roaring right into your ears and the staff is so awkward, making the atmosphere so dead. While ordering the waitress tells us that they ran out of steak because it was busy, which I doubt because it was all most likely expired instead of eaten. The food comes way sooner than expected as we didn’t order any starters, just mains because of the menu being extremely limited. The waitress quite literally throws the plates onto the table as if she’s working there without free will, (all four of them) and expects whoever is sitting on the end to pass it to the next person without a word. The pasta was more than definitely a microwaveable meal from Aldi and charging about £20 for it!! The chips were cold and the garlic bread was soggy, also don’t buy the mozzarella sticks, you get 4 small cheeses for £5 and there is no Coke just Pepsi to cover it up. And the waitress left the restaurant without a word to let us know (again). Bless the young waiter who came up to us by himself and asked if everything was okay even though it absolutely wasn’t. For such an expensive restaurant there is so little on the menu to choose from (as I said). We came because the videos the staff recorded looked good and who knew it was going to be the quite opposite. I am writing this review to save whoever is planning to come here next. Save your money.

We were able to get a table without making a reservation. Staff are friendly, place was clean. Food was disappointing but if you want a kid friendly lunch, this is your place.

Food was terrible, atmosphere was dead it was like the staff didn't even want to be there. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone absolutely shocking.

Visited with my husband about three weeks ago. It was a quiet day as all the stores around it were closed for the day, and all our time inside we were the only customers, but that was most likely with it being the slow season for tourists. The burger was good though slightly overcooked for my taste. Several items on the menu were not available to order, also. We're not locals so unfortunately we cannot visit often, but certainly will try again the next time we are in the area.

Great restaurant, really enjoyed our visit and the staff were excellent. We stumbled upon this place after visiting the Sealife centre. Our kids throughly enjoyed the dinosaur theme and getting to meet quite a few baby dinosaurs that visited our table. The food is pub grub style and we really enjoyed it.

Visited before Christmas in a medium sized group to exchange gifts and spend some quality time. Staff were very welcoming, they were fab with the younger kiddies and my preteen (who was too cool for dinosaurs 😏) staff were great at including the adults in the fun too. Food was amazing!! Everyone left full and happy. We had a variety of dishes, no one had a complaint. The decor is just fab, what an awesome place to have on our doorstep!!

Staff were fantastic even though they were short-staffed. We only ordered cake and coffee but they were very nice and they had milk alternatives which was appreciated. Place is fantastic for kids and has a good menu. They even came around the tables with a dinosaur puppet - it didn't feel tacky at all, the staff really sold it. Would go back.

Had a lovely meal here on a quiet Sunday night! Food was really fun, all themed to the resturant, and was tasty! The jurassic music playing was great and really fun and the dinosaur hand puppets they bring round were so cute! Great fun experience! Fiona who served us was so nice and really added to our great experience!

The staff are extremely knowledgeable about dinosaurs (or at least they seemed it to me and I'll admit my knowledge of dinosaurs is poor at best). The dinosaur decor was as impressive in person as it looked online. The Christmas additions were sweet with many of the dinosaurs in Santa hats. There was a triceratops puppet the staff walked around. Its head moved and its tongue stuck out. V amusing. The burger with the iconic blue bun looked just as impressive in person, however, the sauce included wasn't my favorite and I'd likely ask that it be left off if I returned. The menu said "blue cheese sauce and burger cheese" but this did not mean the burger cheese would be blue cheese. Others looked like they were having a party.

Absolutely love this place, food is amazing.... it's expensive but we'll worth it for the kids!

4 generations had a pretty good meal. The staff was amazing to the 6 year old. They brought out dinosaurs and that was very cool. The colored burger buns were fun.

Found this restaurant last minute when I was looking for a place to take my boy for his bday. Didn't had much expectation, but I must say it was a super nice experience. I always say that the people is what makes the business and they were very nice to us. The place inside looks amazing and the food was also pleasant . I have paid more money in other places for less of an experience so... I will return for sure.

I loved it here and so did my kids. We're all big fans of Jurassic Park, so it went down a treat. The food is slightly expensive, but delicious. The staff were very pleasant. I definitely recommend if you're up this way to check this place out.

The chips in particular were really good and the burgers are really nice aswell, the portions are great. The theming of the restaurant is great but a bit overboard. They could do with toning down the sound effects and not having the waiter go table to table with a toy dinosaur doing a whole bit. That was all a bit much. Otherwise great restaurant and I love the whole vibe.

We came here today 3 adults and 1 child. The staff where absolutely lovely couldent of been more helpful ALL STAFF! they came round to my small son with dinosours to pet. Lovely food. Great dino decor! Will definitely be back :)

Absolutely loved our visit here on Friday night. We had a grate chat with Manager Ann who was super friendly and was amazing with our children. Food was grate and the place is fantastic. We went for dinner at 7pm and the had the place to ourselfs so if your wanting to have a proper look around without disturbing anyone it’s the perfect place.

The atmosphere of the place was amazing so many model dinosaurs about with amazing detail, even the names on the menu were very quirky, the staff were so friendly. I did think the food was very good but to me it was basic, (pretty much like pup grub) there was an amazing amount of it though. Over all I would definitely go back

Great day out with kids. The atmosphere was wonderful for them. Food was amazing. Was a busy Tuesday and Lucy made sure we were all happy. She had dinosaur puppets at our table and the kids loved her and were amazed by the dinos. She was very knowledgeable about dinosaurs and made the experience amazing. Will be telling our friends and the nursery and will 100% come back for lunch again. Thanks again

Just visited for my nephew David's 4th birthday. It was fantastic. The food was lovely and fiona couldn't do enough for us. She was so kind and so happy. She was so knowledgeable and friendly showing the kids the dinosaurs. I live far but I would make the journey for lunch or dinner here again. We will all be back again ! Thank you so much.

Dinosaur themed family restaurant, the food is okay, not the best but certainly not the worst, it will satisfy a hungry tummy and set you up for the rest of your afternoon be it hill walking, going for a boat ride or a stroll around the aquarium or shops. The staff are brilliant and will bring their scaly pals along for you to meet and learn a little bit about, this makes it an excellent dining experience for dinosaur enthusiasts and young families.

A really fun dining experience with great atmosphere, great food, and friendly service. It's a lot of fun, and my partner and I were sad when the locations for Jurassic Grill with l down in England closed. Finding ourselves in Glasgow for the weekend we made a special point of coming here, and had a wonderful time.

Burgers are amazing, the macaroni tasted like tinned macaroni but everything else was lovely. All the staff were very sweet and helpful, the restaurant itself was a very cool environment it would be great for kids

Jurassic Grill caught our eye as we were making our way to another restaurant. Immediately, we knew our plans must change. One step into the foyer and we were immediately serended with strange unfamiliar dinosaur noises. A family, clearly satisfied, left the doorway that served as both an entrance and an exit to the grill inside. They were quiet, and had eyes that possessed a tender calm; half open, half closed, a sign of a stomach completey full. Tempted, we entered the establishment. There was no music, just the ambient noises of wildlife, occasionally broken by a guttaral roar. These noises only complimented the diverse and colourful array of artificial plants scattered about the restaurant. Warm lightbulbs hung low from the ceiling, casting an ambient sheen upon those dinosaur models which had been artfully arranged around the room. If only it had a few more dinosaurs, a few more roars- could've clinched the 5 there. As for the service, never in my life have I been catered for by a woman as kind and as knowledgeable about dinosaurs (yet still an altitude for learning more!) as our waiter this evening. She also introduced us to Timmy the Triceratops, a life size baby dinosaur that I was shocked to learn was only a plushie controlled by our waiter! Incredible! The food was mid as hell Blue Raptor 💀💀💀💀 What kinda Yee AHH beef patty was that? Bro the bun was like play doughand why was it spicyy🥵. Mid mid mid mid mid The chips however, maintained an ideal balance of crisp to comfort. The coleslaw was pleasant- much better than the Lidl own brand version - and the wings were fine. Our advice would be to lower the prices of the food you are selling. However, we understand that financing such a high standard of restaurant staff and affording the various dinosaur statues isn't cheap. We suggest moving locations to somewhere more populous, we've seen how your finances are doing Joe. Overall, definitely an experience, unsure about regular dining availability but if you're someone who looks for more than food when eating, there's no better place.

Unfortunately no direct parking and you have to walk a distance

Since they choose card only I won't be interested I prefer to have the option to use cash. And if I'm going with friends and we split the bill then card would be better ideal. Plus far as I'm aware card only does people out of jobs

Excellent little find! We'd come to the area for the Birds of Prey place and wanted some lunch before leaving, so tried here because our son likes dinosaurs and we were not disappointed by the lovely food!

Was super excited to eat here. Showed up at 7:40pm. Was asked if we had a reservation? No. Was informed that the last seating was at 7:30. Said they couldn't accommodate us even tho there were literally only 2 tables occupied in the restaurant. Left super disappointed. Would have even accepted being told we had to hurry our order so the kitchen could close on time at 9 but they didn't even care to try.

Food was fairly standard but reasonably priced. The highlight is definitely the dinosaurs and the staff who work really hard to keep little ones entertained! Most peaceful meal I've had with our very fidgety toddler.

Food from Iceland served by kids in a jurassic themed cafe,my ribs were the boiled ones smothered in bbq sauce and out of my small bucket of chips only two were cooked properly!!! Not worth it.

Decided to finish the summer holidays off with a trip here for a 2 Dino obsessed 5 year olds. On arrival the lift was broken, kinda glad Granny didn't come with us and there wasn't a sign suggesting another lift and her wheelchair wouldn't have made it up the two flights of stairs. Our friends who met us there, had to carry the pram and baby up the stairs as the lift they did find led them to a lock corridor with no way out... Infernally there is no mistaking that the theme is Dinosaurs, plastic plants and dinosaurs models are everywhere, with annoying 'Jurassic'ish music plays on repeat. Whilst waiting for our very over priced burgers "Victor" visited our table. Unfortunately his handler lacked enthusiasm resulting in a fairly limp and unimpressive Raptor, which was sporting a haphazard bandage to cover up an accident (not sure how it happened as the server and Dino handler both told different stories) but small was fairly concerned and upset at this damage. A short conversation was held, where we were told Victor apparently likes chicken so our small ordered the nuggets so they could share... The cold dence nuggets were almost inedible and Victor never revisited the table much to the disappointment of our kid (who asked for a McDonald's on the route home). The Adults food wasn't much better, the quarter pounder was really condensed and lacked any flavour, the blue burger has next to no blue cheese in and was really only blue in colour, chips were extremely chunky and greesy. Nothing seemed worth the price tag and nothing ordered at the table made us feel like a quality meal had been had. We decided not to stay for dessert. In short, tasteless dence food that was overpriced. A 2 mins visit from a damaged puppet with unenthusiastic handler Plastic themed overload. Disappointed and we won't be back.

A harmonious atmosphere. Friendly staff. The time it took to order was just acceptable. The burgers looked good. But the taste was like they had been prepared in the Jurassic period.

Horrible experience of the place from just having a cake and a drink each (group of 4)... glad that's all we ordered. The place looks quite fun inside but then the service and food was terrible. They didn't know their menu and confused our order - the cakes were stale and tasted days old or recooked - our brownie was solid, the "sponge" was not a sponge to be honest because sponges aren't solid. The coffees tasted bad and the glasses for juice were like kids cups. We went in because of a coffee and cake deal and then were surprised at a large bill and were told if we wanted the deal we should have asked for a seperate menu... but we told them when we came in we wanted cake and a coffee so why weren't we told when we came in... they made an acception when we explained that we only came in for the deal but still. Overall don't recommend. Staff also seemed lazy, uninterested and bored - friendly enough but not even trying or seeming like they'd been trained...

Staff didnt know the items on their menu and looked at us to confirm if the drinks they were bringing were indeed capu-dinos, which tasted like instant coffee. The brownie was solid like a rock, the mesozoic pie was delivered and was called a cheesecake by the staff even tho it was a meringue and the sponge cakes were very dissapointing. Staff appeared like they did not care and as if they weren't trained. Dissapointing empty calories. You can get better desert and nicer service shopping in morrisons or tesco

We happened to notice the dinosaurs when passing and stopped in to grab a bite (and appease our 5 year old who is fascinating with dinosaurs). We were given a table even though we hadn't booked. Oh boy, this place is amazing for a Dino crazed lad... There are dinos everywhere, the menu is Dino themed, and the staff know a huge amount about Dino's and even walk around with a puppet Dino and engage the guests often. Prices are decent and it's really good food. Would recommend everyone to book a table and head down for some brilliant grub with amazing scenery. Would be back!

Had a fantastic time here today! My sister and I took my nephew here for lunch as he loves dinosaurs. The staff were brilliant with him, very patient and friendly, which made for a lovely experience. The dinosaurs are great - he loved them! Would strongly recommend for any families, especially those with children who have additional needs. Each staff member we interacted with was incredibly kind and made it a visit to remember for him. The food was delicious with quite generous portion sizes - none of us managed to clean our plates. Thank you!

first time attending the restaurant, my little girl was excited to see the dinosaurs, asked to sit outside and I feel like we where just forgotten about. Took about 20 minutes to order food, then another 50 minutes for our food to arrive - when it arrived it was actually cold and tasteless, plus did not get evrything I had ordered as they forgot sides. not a great experience.

Had dinner here while I was at the aquarium with my husband 10yr old son and 2 yr old grandson was lucky enough to get a table outside the view was amazing the food was great and the prices was great for what you get

This was our second visit and I was a little dissapointed as the first we had visited it was fantastic, food was a bit mediocre to be truthful but we put it down to the fact we had visited quite late, I couldnt fault the staff as they were very friendly and engaging with my children. I was hugely dissapointed when I went to change my 1 year old though as the disabled/changing facilities were very dirty and changing table was dirty and safety straps were broken.

Nice place for families. Despite some negative reviews, I found the place to be good and relaxing. I had a beef burger that tasted fresh and was quite good. I saw Lucie and Holly kindly interacting with kids. It may be part of their job, but they do it with genuine kindness.

We were the only guests on a quiet day in the week but the manager really took care of us. Very good food for a good price and so special to dine with dinosaurs around you. Will certainly come back with my wee one

Only stopped for drinks, luxury hot chocolate which was very nice. Toilets crazy loud with background music/sounds. Good service until I had to pay when I was standing around for afew minutes to pay. Sad to see the ice bar was closed so no milkshakes. Not sure we would go if it was super busy.

Very child-friendly, but otherwise unfortunately a disaster. First the positive. We were immediately provided with children's art supplies, we were offered a high seat and we were asked about allergies at the entrance. That was great. When we left we were given a little something to play with, something I've never experienced before. The ambience was actually great, direct view of Loh Lomont, a lot could have been done with it. BUT: The food was a disaster. Dry burger, no sauce, except for a slightly sweet and sour sauce that I get at Aldi. A cocktail so small that I finished it in four sips for €8. No decorations, fruits, or anything else. The slaw was missing, it can happen. We then received another one in a soggy mini cardboard bowl. We definitely could have done better privately. In addition, it was really unkempt in many places. The cutlery stand was stuck to the table, there were lots of grease stains on the leather and the fittings in the men's toilet hadn't been cleaned in weeks. According to my wife, it was “disgusting” in the ladies’ room. It was also a dead mood. Every few minutes there was a Jurassic Park tune, a dinosaur roar and a chirp in between, otherwise dead silence. The prices were almost outrageous. It's a shame, the ambience, the view of Loch Lomont and the child-friendliness have the potential to be a top restaurant. But we definitely won't go there again and are bitterly disappointed

Good wee place for the kids to visit and to get some pictures and something to eat. Our server Fiona is an asset to the place and is great with the kids.

Visited today with my kids. We loved it! So fun and the food was really good. The chunky chips were amazing. I got a burger, gluten free buns available which is great ! We are planning our next visit now. The staff were also very friendly and attentive.

Only for little ones not clean bad coffee sorry guys but will not be returning here

A very quiet evening, but what a pleasure it was. Food was ready quickly and delicious, very nice service. Entertainment (there was a dinosaur walking around) and nice decoration. Kids will probably really love this too!

First time at jurassic grill, early birthday treat for my soon to be 5yr old. Food was lovely, fresh and very much enjoyed. While waiting for our food, one of the servers showed us some dinosaur fossils. So glad we pre booked in advance.

Great idea and it's nice enough but the food favours gimmicky looks over flavour. The dinosaur theme really just affects the decor. When we visited the loft was broken efficiently with one disabled person, two kids and a pram wasn't great, especially when it turns out there is another lift we could have used but no easy to access it until we were already in.

Awesome place for lunch or dinner with views over Loch Lomond. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere inside is so cool. Food is generally tasty I liked the pizza and the loaded pizza fries highly recommend for the unique experience perfect for family and parties or any Dino fanatics 🦖

Absolutely amazing afternoon, took my 4 year old grandson for his bday, this is the best place to be for children, fejt as though we were in Disney world, grandson had the very best time, the staff came round and played with him with dinosaur Puppets, spent ages chatting to him, learning him all about each dinosaur. The food was wonderful, large portions and cooked to perfection, I can’t rate this highly enough.. Will definitely be back
