Jungle Peri Peri in Newport

Use to always go here newport branch but so hit and miss went in the day this time and have to say like a lot places now because we speak English in are country u a minority as all staff speaking to customers in there native tounge, when the owner used to be there was better now, food over done is edible but chicken so tough fratellis restaurant don't road better and can eat in for same price as a 11 pound burger takeaway

Order the other day off via uber eats took 2 hours to prepare my food I rang see what’s the hold up person I spoke on the phone says it’s with the driver another 45 min wait I rang back again didn’t answer my phone turned up stone cold never ordering this place ever this is unacceptable especially spending £50 for meal turned up cold not happy

Insanely good quality food, the t-rex burger is one of the best burgers I've genuinely ever tried, the house mayonnaise is absolutely divine and the peri peri chips are gorgeous Service is by far the friendliest and nicest I've ever had from a food place by FAR. I'm from Llanelli so it's not a place I could come to very often but if I find myself in the area and in need of food, this is THE SPOT I will visit

strongly discourage anyone from supporting this restaurant. While the food may be decent, learning that they fail to pay their employees completely ruins the experience. It's unacceptable and unethical to exploit hardworking staff who dedicate their time and energy to providing a service. A business thrives on the efforts of its employees, and to refuse fair compensation is a betrayal of basic decency. Until this issue is addressed, I cannot recommend this establishment. Respect and fairness should come before profit.

Ordered food and the it tasted off opened up the pitta and it was green cheese literally made me physically vomit called them no concern really spend 60 odd pound with these people each time and we are regulars you think you would take care of your customers

First time eating the very nice food ,we had our meal in the Cwmbran one,don't know why it doesn't come up ,very nice decor and the waiter was pleasant.

First time we ordered from here, food was favourable but delivery service was poor! Ordered meal at 19.42pm, told it would be half hour.... Rung at 21.15pm to be told on its way, turned up 21.35pm!!! So obviously food wasn't too warm! And our side turned up in a takeaway coffee cup! Salad was nice if you like it warm & watery!!!!!!

The food was tepid, the garlic bread was extremely soggy. Ordered at about 5:15 and it said 20-35 minutes so put a delivery time of 6. Food arrived at about 6:45.

Ordered via Just Eat, but the thieving driver stole the order pretending he could not find the address, spoke to the shop and quite frankly, they couldn't care less...... Brilliant way to stop customers using them, absolute crap customer service!!

First time trying Jungle and was impressed. Food was piping hot served at the table in a dish. Customer service was second to none. The flavoured fries was the best fries iv had in years tbh. The chicken wrap was fresh chicken and salad which was a really really good wrap. Topped off with Cola jungle juice. Awesome.

Excellent food! I didn't get the chicken but the two people I came in with said "better than Nandos!" Halloumi wrap was delicious, and you have to try the mango jungle juice! 😋

Greeted at the desk by a very helpful and likeable gent. Talked us through the menu and gave some great suggestions. Food was very good indeed. Tiger burgers for both of us. My only complaint would be the extreme hot sauce wasn't quite hot enough but it was still epic in terms of flavour. Fries were great and so we're the drinks. 100% recommend and I will certainly be back soon

This was our go to place for food. However, ordered our usual go to chicken burger meal from here a couple weeks ago and it turned out to be soo much smaller than it has been all the other times we have ordered from here but price was still the same. Disappointed. All other times the grilled chicken piece in the burger would be so big that it would be to the edge of the bun if not hanging slightly over but this time it could not even be seen.

In the description it’s said tomatoe sauce for the kids burger but yet came with burger sauce, so my daughter couldn’t eat it. Everything else was spot on but I am disappointed at the kids burger meal

Came in on a Friday evening and the guy that served us was really useful with looking at what to order. The portion sizes were great, and was good quality chicken. Will definitely come back to try more. Only downside was the packaging - my wings were a little bit soggy because of the heat being trapped in (but obviously appreciated they were still hot when I ate them!).

Never one to usually write a review but absolutely gutted as me and my partner were actually looking forward to trying this for the first time. This part is more so on deliveroo behalf but food took over an hour from leaving the restaurant to be delivered, when passing us our drinks they had been put in the paper cups and half our drinks were floating at the bottom of the bag. The driver didn’t have the best attitude on him when we asked what happened he just kept saying ring delivery. Our food was cold obviously from the long wait but even trying to heat it up the chips were just limp and not much better My partner had the rice bowl and it was very bland compared to others we have tried. Overall just gutted as we were hoping this could be a new food spot to eat from but wouldn’t try again unless in the actual shop.

Burger, Pitta and Chicken strips were excellent, however, chips were cold and given the wrong milkshake and both were half full. Disappointed as all previous orders have been 5 out of 5 and never any issues. Hope just a one off.

Me and my two lovely friends came to visit for lunch after our long and hard test in college. One of my friends happens to be a vegetarian so she obviously looked at the veggie menu which lists a “shark burger”. Without any pictures or description my friend ordered thinking nothing of it. When it arrived she discovered it was fish!!!! Which wasn’t listed on the menu, shouldn’t have been under the veggie menu since fish is NOT A PLANT. We tried to talk to the bossman about the situation but he was having none of it. We were all left disappointed and disgusted with the service and discrimination faced while ordering our food. (The smash burger is so good 🤤🤤🤤🤤)

I been there with my family and we really enjoy the food I can say that this is the no1 takeaway and restaurant because the sauce and the chicken just all is so delicious well done who still didn’t taste this food should go and try because it’s definitely worth it

Food is just subpar. Good setup but terrible quality and was not worth the visit. Chicken is very rubbery, cold food and flat drink. Shame but doesn’t compare with other local shops nor is particularly good value for money.

Ordered at 9.05, rang 271 times no answer. Had to get into my car and drive there at 10.30pm as still no arrival, Got delivered at 10.45pm STONE COLD, and messed the order up. Absolutely furious. Was a loyal costumer

Just Eat delivered the incorrect meal. I called Jungle Peri Peri and they sent out a fresh meal straight away. Can’t fault the restaurant they were great and the food excellent

Cold chips and no peri powder after ordering, but burger was good

Food was okay, cheesecake was still frozen. The attitude from the workers were terrible. As I ordered off the electric menu in store which showed a picture of a Fanta watermelon and strawberry can. They gave me an orange one from the machine and when I asked about the can they said they don’t sell that and got very defensive acting like I got it wrong instead of just apologising because it was on the menu.

Food was cooked to perfection, fast service and they are so polite. Definitely recommend

Ordered wings for myself and my partner had a chicken burger, absolutely everything was delicious and perfectly cooked, the customer service was wonderful and everyone was lovely. Would HIGHLY recommend.

I always order the same thing—2 whole chickens and 2 sides ( Jungle platter )for 30 pounds. I used to compare it to Nando’s, and most of the time, it was better. But this time? The leg piece was undercooked, with the chicken being light pink to brown. I called to complain, and they had the nerve to say I needed to send all the chicken back for them to even consider a replacement! For hygiene reasons, I refused to send back half-eaten food but asked them to at least take a look. They flat-out refused to replace it. Well, they’ve lost a regular customer, and likely many more. If the owner, Asif Ali, was still there, this would’ve been handled better.

I ordered for two 7up they gave me 2 Pepsi max.

Ordered from here a number of times and it’s fantastic every time! Food is always fresh and hot. Kids meals are the perfect size. 5 star every time

They Got the wraps the wrong way round and they wasn’t double up chicken. For an extra £4.50 I had hardly no chicken

charged me 1.80 for 3 pots of garlic sauce and only sent one, then realised it isn't there usual garlic sauce but a cheap bottle one. I could buy a bottle of that for less than 1 pound tbh I'd rather have been told it was out of stock.

I ordered a wagu burger for £20. This is a processed/frozen patty worth £2. Absolutely disgusting, not even quality meat.

Very disappointing customer service. Not the first time I’ve experienced problems from Jungle Peri. They have no customer service skills. They pass the buck. Don’t answer the phone to you. They are rude if you do manage to speak to someone. Have to fight for a refund for food I didn’t receive? Not ideal?

had food for the first time here Sunday night (going into the shop) and enjoyed it so had a delivery last night from them. food was cooled well, flavourful and good value for money. delivery was quick. Will be ordering from here again. thank you

The peri peri is amazing. The lion burger and Greek wrap are some of my favs. Also their smash burgers are amazing. The jungle sauce is the best part, 100% recommend getting that. Make everything taste so good

If ordering on just eat we spent £77 on the takeaway with jungle peri peri. Our driver a young woman with black hair, driving a black ford dropped off our food. We then realised that we did not have our 2 burgers that was £12 each. We called up jungle peri and asked them why we are missing parts of our order. And they said there was nothing they can do they admitted the driver also did not collect our wings and that she must have taken the burgers. Just a friendly reminder since as “this never happens” but “we misplace drinks and wings all the time.” I was also repeatedly ignored and was passed around 3 people on the phone in jungle peri just to say that they can not do anything about it. Don’t order 🙂

Food was the best as always with the lion burger, was fuming that my wrap had mayo in it so didn’t get to eat it which was a shame as I put no mayonnaise on the booking and still paid for something I didn’t eat, only issue had there been no mayo would of been perfect.

Received someone elses order... Never got my food. Driver blamed the restaurant, restaurant blamed the driver/just eat. Phoned the restaurant who gave no apology just said I've got to contact just eat. £30 down and no food I can eat. Looks like others are having issues too so maybe the company should find new drivers. I've never had problems with just eat from any other restaurants. 2nd time I've had issues here. Normally great food but bad bad service from restaurant. Won't order again

Food's hot and the fries are crispy. I love crispy fries so these are cooked to perfection. Burgers are juicy, buns lightly grilled, not soggy unlike a lot of places I've gotten food from. Comes together brilliantly, will definitely be ordering again

We order regularly and always have 2 loaded rice boxes one lemon and herb. And one mild because that's the perfect level of spice. Today the rices were soo spicy way more than usual to the point my throat and mouth is hurting. This has really put me off now as I hate really spicy food. Lemon and herb shouldnt burn your throat surely.

Peri fries could have been normal fries, we wouldn't have known the difference, wraps were wet, no taste at all.

Lovely meal but a sharp sliver of chicken bone in the wrap that dug into the side of my mouth. Really disappointing because the food is lovely.

Rice box was tiny, paid for extra chicken and only got 5 small pieces, and it didn't have any cheese.

Portions were small, and over priced wouldn't of put that normally but it Clear didn't clean their hands because they gave us the runs, me and the missis not happy at all never going there again will be going to Papa perrys in Cwmbran at least thay are clean

Ordered food at 3.20, turned up missing chips and drink. Called business who said they will send out missing items. It's been an hour, tried calling back several times and can't even get an answer 🙃 Absolute joke.

The location Is on caerleon road Newport. I would like to recommend this food place to everyone and would like to mention the customer service is on point with very fast service and very welcoming staff who go Above and beyond. Jungle peri has a wide selection for everyone and alot to choose from. The staff are so helpful, professional and polite. A smile on the face always. Highly recommended. The two young men at the front called zobair and obaid are absolutely amazing with the customers who go above and beyond thank you.
