Jungle Peri Peri in Newport

Me and my two lovely friends came to visit for lunch after our long and hard test in college. One of my friends happens to be a vegetarian so she obviously looked at the veggie menu which lists a “shark burger”. Without any pictures or description my friend ordered thinking nothing of it. When it arrived she discovered it was fish!!!! Which wasn’t listed on the menu, shouldn’t have been under the veggie menu since fish is NOT A PLANT. We tried to talk to the bossman about the situation but he was having none of it. We were all left disappointed and disgusted with the service and discrimination faced while ordering our food. (The smash burger is so good 🤤🤤🤤🤤)

I been there with my family and we really enjoy the food I can say that this is the no1 takeaway and restaurant because the sauce and the chicken just all is so delicious well done who still didn’t taste this food should go and try because it’s definitely worth it

Food is just subpar. Good setup but terrible quality and was not worth the visit. Chicken is very rubbery, cold food and flat drink. Shame but doesn’t compare with other local shops nor is particularly good value for money.

Ordered at 9.05, rang 271 times no answer. Had to get into my car and drive there at 10.30pm as still no arrival, Got delivered at 10.45pm STONE COLD, and messed the order up. Absolutely furious. Was a loyal costumer

Food was okay, cheesecake was still frozen. The attitude from the workers were terrible. As I ordered off the electric menu in store which showed a picture of a Fanta watermelon and strawberry can. They gave me an orange one from the machine and when I asked about the can they said they don’t sell that and got very defensive acting like I got it wrong instead of just apologising because it was on the menu.

Food was cooked to perfection, fast service and they are so polite. Definitely recommend

Ordered wings for myself and my partner had a chicken burger, absolutely everything was delicious and perfectly cooked, the customer service was wonderful and everyone was lovely. Would HIGHLY recommend.

Severely disappointed today we thought we had found our new go to 3rd time ordering and today what a let down missed all the order notes absolutely no flavour at all and the chicken burger well the chicken was so hard and chewy it hurt to eat and the bun was crumbling apart not a pleasant experience at all today such a shame

I always order the same thing—2 whole chickens and 2 sides ( Jungle platter )for 30 pounds. I used to compare it to Nando’s, and most of the time, it was better. But this time? The leg piece was undercooked, with the chicken being light pink to brown. I called to complain, and they had the nerve to say I needed to send all the chicken back for them to even consider a replacement! For hygiene reasons, I refused to send back half-eaten food but asked them to at least take a look. They flat-out refused to replace it. Well, they’ve lost a regular customer, and likely many more. If the owner, Asif Ali, was still there, this would’ve been handled better.

I ordered for two 7up they gave me 2 Pepsi max.

Ordered from here a number of times and it’s fantastic every time! Food is always fresh and hot. Kids meals are the perfect size. 5 star every time

They Got the wraps the wrong way round and they wasn’t double up chicken. For an extra £4.50 I had hardly no chicken

Good food the burger was a little over done but everything else was lush

charged me 1.80 for 3 pots of garlic sauce and only sent one, then realised it isn't there usual garlic sauce but a cheap bottle one. I could buy a bottle of that for less than 1 pound tbh I'd rather have been told it was out of stock.

I ordered a wagu burger for £20. This is a processed/frozen patty worth £2. Absolutely disgusting, not even quality meat.

had food for the first time here Sunday night (going into the shop) and enjoyed it so had a delivery last night from them. food was cooled well, flavourful and good value for money. delivery was quick. Will be ordering from here again. thank you

Very disappointing customer service. Not the first time I’ve experienced problems from Jungle Peri. They have no customer service skills. They pass the buck. Don’t answer the phone to you. They are rude if you do manage to speak to someone. Have to fight for a refund for food I didn’t receive? Not ideal?

The peri peri is amazing. The lion burger and Greek wrap are some of my favs. Also their smash burgers are amazing. The jungle sauce is the best part, 100% recommend getting that. Make everything taste so good

cold food and missing parts of order.

If ordering on just eat we spent £77 on the takeaway with jungle peri peri. Our driver a young woman with black hair, driving a black ford dropped off our food. We then realised that we did not have our 2 burgers that was £12 each. We called up jungle peri and asked them why we are missing parts of our order. And they said there was nothing they can do they admitted the driver also did not collect our wings and that she must have taken the burgers. Just a friendly reminder since as “this never happens” but “we misplace drinks and wings all the time.” I was also repeatedly ignored and was passed around 3 people on the phone in jungle peri just to say that they can not do anything about it. Don’t order 🙂

Food was the best as always with the lion burger, was fuming that my wrap had mayo in it so didn’t get to eat it which was a shame as I put no mayonnaise on the booking and still paid for something I didn’t eat, only issue had there been no mayo would of been perfect.

Received someone elses order... Never got my food. Driver blamed the restaurant, restaurant blamed the driver/just eat. Phoned the restaurant who gave no apology just said I've got to contact just eat. £30 down and no food I can eat. Looks like others are having issues too so maybe the company should find new drivers. I've never had problems with just eat from any other restaurants. 2nd time I've had issues here. Normally great food but bad bad service from restaurant. Won't order again

Food's delicious. Fries - in my opinion - are cooked to a crispy perfection. Burgers are juicy with some nice charring to them, the buns too are lightly grilled and not soggy at all. Best place I've been to in over 2 years since moving out of London. Will definitely be getting food from them again.

We order regularly and always have 2 loaded rice boxes one lemon and herb. And one mild because that's the perfect level of spice. Today the rices were soo spicy way more than usual to the point my throat and mouth is hurting. This has really put me off now as I hate really spicy food. Lemon and herb shouldnt burn your throat surely.

Peri fries could have been normal fries, we wouldn't have known the difference, wraps were wet, no taste at all.

Rice box was tiny, paid for extra chicken and only got 5 small pieces, and it didn't have any cheese.

Lovely meal but a sharp sliver of chicken bone in the wrap that dug into the side of my mouth. Really disappointing because the food is lovely.

Portions were small, and over priced wouldn't of put that normally but it Clear didn't clean their hands because they gave us the runs, me and the missis not happy at all never going there again will be going to Papa perrys in Cwmbran at least thay are clean

Fab food, piping hot and lovely flavour. Only criticism is that yet again the coke had spilled into the plastic bag. Half was lost.

Food is awesome as ever can’t complain but the problem is cups and how there transferred if you buy three drink two get put in cup holders one Dosent sometimes it dpilld and u lose a drink food *****

Half the order didn't turn up, restaurant said it would send missing items out.. This was 80 mins ago. Now they won't answer the phone.

Ordered food at 3.20, turned up missing chips and drink. Called business who said they will send out missing items. It's been an hour, tried calling back several times and can't even get an answer 🙃 Absolute joke.

The location Is on caerleon road Newport. I would like to recommend this food place to everyone and would like to mention the customer service is on point with very fast service and very welcoming staff who go Above and beyond. Jungle peri has a wide selection for everyone and alot to choose from. The staff are so helpful, professional and polite. A smile on the face always. Highly recommended. The two young men at the front called zobair and obaid are absolutely amazing with the customers who go above and beyond thank you.

The food is absolutely spot on in this restaurant....take this place over nandos all day long....very reasonable prices aswell.....the boss man is a top guy aswell

Food is delicious from here. Love ordering - but this evening we ordered a Pepsi max with our food as part of a meal deal and it was delivered in a take away cup in a knotted plastic bag and the cup had spilled and filled the bag and subsequently I was delivered a carrier bag of Pepsi. It has gone everywhere. Please be cautious when ordering drinks as this is absolutely bizarre way to store and deliver a drink.

Best thing about their chicken is that "hot" ls actually spicy. I want spice, and this has the best spice Ive tried. Down side is the quality of food in general is average. chicken isnt amazing, chips always a bit meh, quality is also inconsistent. But I still keep going back for me because their piri sauce is the best!

We order from here all the time this meal was probably the worst we’ve had from them. Burgers were overcooked and dry, ordered a drink with a meal they sent a straw and no drink. Really gutted

If u like spicy rice than u can go for mild , hot or extra hot otherwise go for lemon and herb because rice are already spicy , rest all the things was very nice ,superb taste and quantity of food is too much its for 2 not one

My daughter’s choice of takeaway, but it was absolutely gorgeous! I had a meal deal that was enormous and filling. My daughter had a Greek wrap with peri peri chips and ate it all. Milkshake and cookies were fab. Would recommend.

Won’t be ordering from here again £36 worth of food was definitely not worth it the portions are tiny and paid extra for peri fries n there was nothing on them just plane fries, not happy

Just Eat driver - delivered a bag of Pepsi max. Pepsi max cup inside a bag which clearly had a lose lid... or not traveled upright.- A mess to deal with sadly ! Not good. Food good... but warm.

Sweet potato fries were soggy & tasted under cooked. Garlic mayo was watery. Burger was very good. Milk shake was watery too. Quite disappointing as normally the food is great here, well it used to be.

Ordered from here quite a few times and sometimes they didn’t put the jungle sauce on the burgers so I rang and told them and I was told to put in the instructions to add the jungle sauce I have done so today and they only put the jungle sauce in the one burger not both like I asked, not good service!!!

Absolutely beautiful! The best takeaway I have had in years. Very well cooked, not oily and beautiful presented. The mango juice is my favourite mango juice too. Really appreciate the lovely food, will definitely order again soon.

really disappointed, we used to order at our old home and it was amazing but we moved in July and continued ordering but food isn't the same lately, the portions have literally halved the last few months which is a shame because the food isnt exactly cheap either. we kept giving it the benefit of the doubt but it's time to find a new peri restaurant that's a bit more value for money.
