Jungle Grill Rochdale in Rochdale

Absolutely disgusting from start to finish! Had to wait over an hour for our food, and we were the only ones in there! Ordered our food and drinks came about 45 minutes after, no cutlery was given to us, when the food finally did arrive they sent the wrong food! I didn’t touch my burger as it was stone cold. When my husband went to ask them what the issue was they blamed ‘delivery orders’, and when he complained to the staff they didn’t look bothered. An absolute shambles of a takeaway/restaurant (it’s a ‘joint venture’ apparently) and we will DEFINITELY NOT be going here again. I hope the owner/staff read this and take this into account because if they get any worse then they will have to close down anyway. Maybe they should also get a food hygiene rating because I’m sure half the food was over date.

Ordered through uber was due a 7.15 didnt arrive. rang restaurant multible times no answer it would ring and phone would be put down. 8pm uber tried ringing them couldnt get through and refunded me

First and last time that I will be coming here. Arrived around 6ish, firstly told that the poppadoms werent available as they hadnt been prepared. Then as for a mixed grill hot pot, but no beef. My husbands meal choice also had to be changed because there was no beef. They then had no fruit shoots with the kids meals. The rice came when i was almost half way through the meal. Completely bland and tasteless. We were then waiting to pay for over 5 minutes while the workers were casually outside having a smoke/chat. The 1 star is for allowing us to be seated upstairs so our son could play in the play area

1st time here and definitely the last! Service was terrible, lamb biriyani didn't come with curry sauce and when asked was told the chef didn't no how to make it lol. The place was freezing, we ate with our coats on! Staff dressed in joggers/sports wear, just so unprofessional service altogether! Very disappointed!

Used to go here quite often as the food was nice but the service is just shocking. Had to ask for cutlery and send one side back to be re heated as it was cold? Chips were also cold and the food came out at completely separate times (like 15 mins apart) also was told they didn’t have one item when they were bringing the food out.. could have told us beforehand so we could have picked something else. Definitely won’t be eating here again unfortunately.

drinks weren’t bought to the table for half an hour , staff looked miserable . food was half cold. didn’t have half the stuff we ordered but didn’t tell us about one of them until they started bringing food over. food was bought out at completely different times, we saw it sat on the side waiting to be bought over for ages. no cutlery on table had to ask for it and we were the only table in there. confused as to how it was so unorganised.

Nothing special. Just an average place to eat.

Took my order,took the money, then 30 minutes later cancelled my order refunded my money with no explanation why.

Really unimpressed with this place, they’ve merged with another restaurant but it’s very confusing. Staff were really nice but lacked basic training. Heard the owner shouting at his staff multiple times. Definitely not a nice vibe

Cozy atmosphere and lovely food. Portion size is generous and food cooked to perfection and nicely spiced. Didn't see the Kids play area above but it seems to be popular. Prices are also reasonable. Recommended.

Food was slightly late which I suppose is allowable, what took the biscuit was my chicken steak was hard and the chips were Luke warm… only bonus the kids enjoyed the play area! Not in a rush to go there again

I drive past this place every day and the atmosphere is always buzzing so I wanted to give this place a go. Hand down the best chicken burger in rochdale and its not even close! Took the kids for the first time; Kids had chicken wings & chips. These were OK. Good sizes for kids meals too. Partner had burger, beef patty was cheap and grisly. I had buttermilk chicken wrap… it looked like it was a week old! Burnt and overcooked. Chips we’re undercooked Woke up with an upset stomach from the little I did eat! Never again!!

I dont come as often but this time I was shocked I come in around 4pm ish placed and order etc sat upstairs let the kids play no after service provided if I needed anything else food was OK steak peices was thick not in stripes and please sort the customer service out when told the man at the till he was not even bothered I will be kind and rate this place a 4 star.

Great place. The food was really nice and came quickly. We came on our own but we did take a look at the soft play bit and it's looks great for small kids (upto about age 7 or 8 probably) so will definitely bring my little one next time. Decor was nice and place seemed clean. I have marked down 1 star simply for service. We were the only people in there and were basically ignored. We were waiting for the lady to come and take our orders. Waited for ages. Finally got her attention and she said we are meant to come up to order. That's fine, but maybe tell us when you are seating us. Other then that it was lovely and we will definitely go again.

My family and I went for a meal tonight here at Jungle grill(Rochdale), I dont normally leave reviews but I had to for this experience. The staff was sooo pleasant, friendly and helpful, the restaurant was very clean as well. The food was tasty we thoroughly enjoyed our meals(buttermilk burger, jungle mix platter, the milkshakes were delicious and my kids loved the hotdogs and chips, they also loved the play area. Thank you for making our night a pleasant one and thanks so much to the staff for being soo lovely, even though it was almost closing time you still welcomed us with friendly faces. We will definitely visit again soon.

Absolutely perfect through and through. The food was delicious, the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, the soft play area is immaculate and quite big so our little boy had a great time. The menu is fantastic and the prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality and quantity of the food. All round brilliant experience and we will definitely be coming again. Thankyou

This used to be a nice place to be with brilliant food. Cant say that anymore went in the other week and the peri peri chicken was dry and tasteless no sauces available and got about 10 fries on my plate which i think they used old frying oil. Wont be going there in hurry.

We ordered takeaway. The inside of the restaurant is not that big but enough. The food was pricy, however, the taste was fantastic. The beef burger was cooked perfectly, saculant but juicy. This definitely was 1 of the best burgers I have had. The grilled chicken like in most places that do it well was great. Overall, I definitely recommend you try this place once.

Do not buy from this place. Waited over 2 hours for food, only half of my order arrived and the rest was cold. Ruined my evening.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. THEIVES AND LIARS. Food turned up an hour and a half late. That's after I had to go down to chase it up as the phone line was permanently engaged. Shop was empty, chefs stood around, not one person wearing face mask. Was told the driver was need my house, took me 10 minutes to get back and the driver had only just got there. I rejected the stone cold food and went back to the shop to ask for refund. The manager promised he had refunded me via the YoYo app as that's how I paid. No refund, tried to speak to him and got fobbed off with I'll ring you back later. No surprises when he didn't ring. Claiming money back from the bank instead. Would give no stars if the option was available

Absolute shocking experience won't recommend

Took nearly 2 hrs to deliver a chicken burger, some soggy cheesy chips and some dead mozzarella sticks. 1/10. Delivery guy was nice enough. However, resteraunt staff need to be honest. 5 minutes does not equate to 2 hrs.

Thieves! Non existant cutomer service, they don't answer the phone. I can't get my money back because they don't give you a reciept. Just eats customer service is no help at all. Terrible food, have never got our order correct, and we gave them 3 chances. Do not buy food from this place...you will regret it!

Very poor experience. Waited over an hour and a half for my delivery, called up to ask for update and the man on the phone was not apologetic at all. Terrible customer service. When my order finally arrived it was cold and there was food missing. Never ordering from here again.

Great place to eat and for kids as they have a play place

What a shocking experience. Ordered from uber eats with the delivery time of 1630-1650; 1650 came no sign of the food, I rang the takeaway directly who stated "They have just left now" you know that old chestnut. So we waited another 20 minutes by the way the takeaway is 10minutes from my house. Still nothing. I ring again and they stated "The driver knocked on and there was no answer and we tried ringing you 4 times." I was stood at the door the whole time with no driver in sight and no missed calls. The takeaway then offers to make the food fresh and will be there in the next 30 minutes it's now 1800. 1830 comes no sign of them, I give them the benefit of the doubt and call at 1850 I get that magical phrase "It's just left now" yet again. 1930 the food arrives. 3 hours late. The food is cold and soggy as if it's been microwaved or left to sit for an hour and in all honesty tastes rank. The best bit was the cold drink at least they can get that right. I wish I would of got a refund because it was just appalling service and really bad food. Definitely won't be trying again.

Overall very bad, we won't be ordering from here again! When we first moved here we found this place and praised it for the amazing food. Which still stand today - their food is really good. Unfortunately, the last few times we've ordered the food took 2 hours to get the delivery, arrived cold, and with missing items. I tried to call the restaurant 16 times, I think they must have taken the phone off the hook. No answer, no communication. I was in the middle of ordering from another restaurant when the food finally arrived because we had no idea if we were ever going to get the food since they never answer the phone! Good food is pointless if it arrives cold.

Absolutely disgusting service and the delivery took so long also the food arrived very cold. Chips were soggy, rang the restaurant several times and the phone handler was kept saying the driver is on his way but only turned up after an hour not happy at all. Add more drivers or do not offer delivery services.

Been going here for a while but the past few times i have been very disappointed. The last time we ate in they forgot my husbands food ...today we ordered our food at 8pm its now 10pm and they have not delivered. Staff dont have a clue whats going on.

First time here with kids and Mrs Absolutely shocking, very basic and dirty food Lettuce was old and dirty, egg was burnt and steak was tasting like it was there for afew days. The waiter (big lad) was very nice and apologised for everything but not his fault. Menu is over priced in my opinion but I pay alot more in other places and less in some for better food. Just disappointing to go for a meal and not be able to enjoy 1 star because I cant give it none

The delivery was late and the most annoying part was the food was cold.

Recommended the steak burger and the mixed steak. Kids love it because of the play area which is good as it keeps the kids occupied!

Horrendous service as waited over an hour for the food, the staff had family members in who arrived after us and were served their food within 15 minutes, don't waste your time or money!!

When we arrived we were greeted with a smile, and asked whether we wanted to be seated upstairs or downstairs. We choose upstairs which had a nice play area as i had my 3yrs old boy, he loved the play area as we were able to watch him. Our order was taken when were ready to order, menu was fantastic easy to choose your meal. They also had tables and chairs for little one's to seat and eat. Food didn't take long to be served, well presented oder was perfect. Me and my family loved this will definitely go back again, would highly recommend anyone to try it. 10/10 for food and customer service 10/10.

Very poor service, ordered food via uber eats app, 2 1/2 hrs later we had to go to the resturant, order was not ready after 21/2 hrs. Excuse that due to high demand of discounted price through government scheme they were extremely busy. I noticed that the kitchen staff were not organised. Requested a refund got £30.00 back from £41.02. We made a complaint to uber eats regarding jungle grills poor services. Suggestion hire competent people to work in tje kitchens rather having floor staffing. Split the kitchen staff between uber eats customers and costomer who are sitting in the resturant,

Visited yesterday with friends, initially there was only two of us and we were given a table, upstairs in the middle of the room next to the play part. As we went down to order two of our friends joined, we were told 45 minute wait for a table and the food would be ready as we had already ordered. We were given a table after a long wait, which smelt like vomit for some reason? We then started to notice that EVERYONE sat was still waiting for their food, the poor waitresses were taking all the slack! The food arrives, shocking! A salad I ordered with all sorts in it apart from the things I'd wanted in the salad. My friend then found a hair in her chicken, she asked the waitress if she could speak to the manager. There were four of us sat at the table every single one of us saw her pick that out of the food. The manager, refused to believe that it was one of his chef's. To the point where he said the chicken comes like that so it couldn't have been from there. With the pandemic at this current moment in time, I'm baffled as to why there is no gloves and nets on by the kitchen staff?? I understand, its a busy time with the offer they have on, as we are not frm the area... this was a bit disheartening to say the least that we were made to feel as if we were lying about hairs in food. Who has time for that? Unfortunately for me, i won't be re visiting. The waitresses were wonderful 👏 I dont know how I would wrk under such pressures with a manager who has no customer service skills and is not apologetic at all!

The building looks brilliant from the outside and I were looking forward to trying it. I ordered Jungle Grill on Just Eat. Delivery were 35 minutes late. I would appreciate a little message to just let me know it is going to be late. I ordered a milk shake for £4. They called me and said they don’t have any milkshakes so they said they would give me 2 pieces of cake which I accepted. When the food arrived there were one piece of stale cake. All 3 meals were cold. The beefburger were hard and chewy and taste burnt, as well as the turkey bacon. The chips were over cooked and chewy. Overpriced rubbish. I will never order from here again.

I am really annoyed I placed an order earlier this evening for 7:30pm arrived at 8:15pm and it was all cold and the order was wrong!!

Ordered online via there website for a collection in 50 minutes. Went to collect to be told it had be cancelled without any form of cancellation notification. No Apology at all. To be honest I don’t think they know how to run a business. TheRe seemed to be a lot of people very annoyed like myself waiting for an order that didn’t exist.

Ordered through UberEats...said estimated delivery time between 20-40 mins. Called after 40 minutes and they said they're really busy with the Eat Out scheme and they didnt have my address and had been trying to call me (LIE...all that info is on UberEats). Said it would be another 30 minutes. Called again after 30 minutes and they hadn't even started the order. Said still too busy....prioritising the Eat Out scheme. I asked why they had an estimated delivery that was so out and they blamed UberEats that they couldn't change it. Asked for my address AGAIN and couldn't give me an update on when food would arrive. Still waiting now....

Called store after 1 hour and was told in 5 minutes the order would go out. Two hours from order time still had no delivery. Went to the store to be told it was delivered a long time ago, when they checked they saw it was delivered to the wrong house on my street by their driver! Ridiculous

To be honest no stars should be given here, took my family to this place and I was told it will take 25 minutes for the food and we were waiting over 45 minutes and we would have waited longer if I didn't ask how long it would take. They put it down as a takeout rather than eating in, despite all that I complained and the food arrived there was no service such as providing napkins, cutleries or any sauces the amount of times I had to get up was absolutely unacceptable because they didn't even add something even though I repeated it quite a few times a customer shouldnt be explaining the procedure to a takeaway or a restaurant how to provide a decent service to customers. Really disappointed with my visit as I was recommended by my friends so many times. This is the first and last time never again, my niece had to wait over 45 mins but her food wasn't even added by the person at the till so she had to wait another 20 minutes and the woman was taking the food away whilst we were not even done. 0 customer service no people's skills what so ever.

Ordered on Just Eat and order was confirmed to arrive at 9.35pm. Rang Jungle Grill at 9.45 to be told that they are really busy and it will be another 20 minutes.It is now 10.16pm and food still not arrived. I have rang Jungle Grill over 20 times but constantly engaged. I can't even cancel my order as no one now is picking up - why give a time when you know you are busy and can't meet the delivery slot - provide realistic delivery times and pick up your phone .POOR POOR POOR - this has happened before - they seem to get it right once and then get it disastrously wrong the next time you order.DELIVER MY FOOD OR GIVE MY MONEY BACK .

Good food and really good waiting staff

Kids always enjoy coming here for a run around and burger treat. It’s probably the only place where they eat up all their food because they’ve worked up such an appetite or maybe because they live the burgers and fries so much..

1st time i eat in a Rochdale restaurant even though i lived here 1977 to 1993 (a bit like Nandos)

Food was cold and one of us had to wait for their meal whilst everyone else had eaten at least half of theirs. Customer service was good though

We've eaten in here before and it's been about 4 star quality, but tonight we decided to order on just eat and my god was it poor. We waited an hour and a half, yes it was hot but half the food had crushed because they shoved it all in one bag (2 platters and 2 meals) half of the order was wrong, hot dog without the extra toppings we paid for, selected no mayo for a burger, it had ALOT of mayo on, and the platters were SO over priced for what you got. If you want something from here, go in, don't order.

Excellent service and food from here. Have always loved their 5* quality food with so much flavours and beautiful presentation.Customer service is excellent. Always greet you with a happy face. Play area is exceptional for kids. Love taking my friends and family for a great meal.

Fantastic food and good family oriented environment

This is One of the best places in Rochdale the food is amazing would definitely Recommend to anyone you wouldn’t leave disappointed,children have a good time in the play area, staff are amazing and regularly check up on you to see if you need anything else ,an overall amazing place!

When I first entered the shop the staff welcomed me and my family brilliantly. As we sat down the waiter had already setted up the table with napkins, sauce, knife and forks. As the food arrived it looked like they have put alot of effort into it and the mash was fresh and it was extremely tasty. The cooks had done a great job and the waiter would keep a check on us. The playground is a great way for the little ones to have a great time and to meet new people from different cultures. As we were about to leave the staff gave us a delightful goodbye and I will definitely go back and would recommend this to everyone.

I hosted my son's first birthday party at Jungle Grill today and honestly, I cannot recommend this venue enough. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food was great. All my guests and I had a great time. Hats off to the management for running this place like clockwork. We'll be back again very soon.

Remarkable new place to eat. Superb delicious food. Sitting is best. Well mannered staff. Overall Environment is wonderful for food lovers.

I would recommend every one to give this place a try. All food is freshly made . Up on arrival you are asked if you want to be seated up or down stairs. If your going with young children I would say go upstairs as they have a play area for the children ( free). I went and had a look out of curiosity and it seemed fun. A bit quieter now stairs. Decor is modern and nice. There is plenty to choose from on the menu to suit every ones taste. Prices are reasonable too. I find that if you there is something not quite what you expect be upfront and say so while your there. Staff will listen and deal with anything. I will be returning . Keep up good work .

Appalling service, ordered our food at 8.30pm and still not arrived by 11pm. Since they close at 10pm I’m guessing it’s not arriving after numerous phone calls to assure us it’s on its way. Why open a food/delivery restaurant to not deliver to customers? Worst experience I’ve ever had.

Great fun for kids to play whilst you eat. Service was a little slow though.

Not bad for first impression. Got cheesy chilli fries which was on point. The burger was nice but because of a cold couldn't taste the flavours of it properly but will ia be back.

The food is of really good quality, and the play area is decent. We went primarily because it is local and has a play area which we thought the kids would enjoy and they did. The service was quick and the friendly staff meant it was an enjoyable place to visit, where I would happily return and recommend to anyone with young children.

This place is a favourite of my daughters, they have soft play and good food. The burgers are amazing, yummy !!!!!!

Forgot the can of coke that was part of a meal deal... put mayo in a wrap when during ordering “no mayo” was selected and didn’t put jalapenos in the wrap, which was ordered and paid for as an “extra”. The food was mediocre at best and def. not worth the £2.50 delivery fee.

Love this food and good for children

Service was good but food was cold, a lot of Restaurants and grill places have opened here but never work. It's got a long way to go if it wants to get anywhere near the Cheetham Hill Jungle Grill.

I've been here many of time mainly because my kids love the soft play area use have. Food is ok but my biggest problem is use serve the kids fruit shoots with a the plastic lid on, this is a massive choking hazard as when I come I am forever picking them out of the soft play area and off the floor. I've said this time and time to the staff no one ever seems to listen maybe use will take notice if you have a child choke on one.
