Stopped here last night for fish and chips. It was like a step back in time. Great food, done in beef dripping. Friendly service and large portions. Well worth a visit.

Great little chippy, proper chips, good portions fish was great, had it on a muffin loads of S&V some of the best fish and chips we've had and all made last minute for us as the were closing. We will be back!

The last 2 times I've ordered from here the food has been overcooked/burnt yet soggy at the same time. Last time I ordered the chips and fish were burnt, today the chips were OK but fish burnt and soggy. Couldn't finish my fish.

Chips could do with being hotter & got far too many. Chips alone filled a large plate. Half of which went straight into the bin. I hate wasting food. It really was a silly amount served. Fish was nice, but the batter looked very dark. Maybe oil/fat was old and needed changing. Staff friendly. Bit expensive tbh. Maybe give smaller portions & bring the price down.

Staff were super friendly and the food was great. Fish was fresh and cooked to perfection. Chips were great. Got a pig in blanket, which was just fantastic. Got the super sized fish, which was massive, still some left over for today. Price was reasonable and service was quick.

Had a chip butty, chips are done in beef dripping, which makes a big difference, what can I say it was perfect

Junction fisheries are my local chip shop. The food used to be excellent. The fish is still nice. The staff are always friendly, even when they are super busy. It's also cash only, but you can order your food on their website.

Just bought our tea from ere fish and chips, fish butty fish, and a child’s chicken nuggets and chips small curry, peas, and gravy at the cost of £26 absolutely disgusting the fish was that overcooked you couldn’t chew it, mine was half the size of my hubbys, even the dogs would t eat it. Normally so good but won’t be going there again I can’t afford to throw nearly £30 worth of food away. Should have stuck to a sandwich.

Absolutely fab fish and chips, delivery always timely and the food is always hot Never get a picture because I want to tock in straight away

Overpriced and poor standard of food. Chips are soggy, fish was average. Curry sauce is okay. Staff not very friendly.

My order never arrived and they never answered the phone when I tried to ring them to see where my order was. Totally and utterly unreliable. Will not use again. If I could give a -5 star score I would!

Sell frozen chicken then when you take it back they get abusive avoid unless you like food poisoning

The fish was the best i have ever had but the curry and peas were thick and gloopy all they needed was a bit of hot water to thin them out. Such a shame as we wont be going back. Lady in charge not very friendly hardly smiled. When you work for the public you need to be made welcome even in a chippy.

Doesn't look clean jnside, chips seemed refried

Wish I could say we enjoyed our food but this was a very disappointing takeaway. The building itself is very small and cramped, and there was sewer water leaking from the drain at the front of the building causing a large smelly puddle. The fish was OK but the curry sauce and mushy peas were all gloopy and not prepared correctly. Furthermore the food was a bit cold after only a couple of mins. The staff seemed unhappy and miserable, just like the food. Will NOT be buying from this place again. If you like good fish shop curry then avoid this place, there are several other much better chip shops close by.

Fish and chips in a fish absolutely beautiful

Nice food, but avoid options they have to count more than two, I ordered several portions of one item and received one short. I contacted them only to be called a liar and that next time two people will count the order. This is the third time this is happened and the last as I will not order from them again.

The food has always been very nice and good price and no problems we order regular unfortunately tonight wasn't the case missing item the food was cold and under cooked when we spoke to the team I was basically called a liar poor customer service which is every disappointing given the fact that we are good customers and have always enjoyed the service and quality of the food I wasn't after a free meal just wanted to same quality as normal I will not be ordering again

Best fish and chips in Huddersfield!

We received confirmation that our order was on the way just before 7pm....our order arrived 7.40pm and it was Stone cold. My sister lives in golcar and it takes her 15 minutes to get to Marsden. We were really looking forward to our fish and chips but we cannot give a good review based on our experience...sorry

Dropped by here yesterday a walk on bolster Moor. Wow incredible crispy chips and fish. Really helpful lady on the counter. Very impressed!

Fish and chips are always wonderful. I seem to have a problem when I collect, as my son orders and pays and I collect, but they say they haven't got order till they have another look so I have quite a wait. They are worth waiting for!

Fairly new owners but have greatly extended menu, good portions, nice fish cooked for your order when you walk in, nice clean shop, family run

Very small fish and chip shop, blink and you miss it. Really hard to park up as the double yellow line painters must have been on a bonus when marking around the area, all that said well worth stopping in as the fish and chips are gorgeous and cooked to perfection.

Had fish and chips 3 times from this chippy fantastic I can not wait to have them again. Under new owners and doubly better I had stopped having fish and chips but I am converted again 5* ANY DAY

New owners are so nice and friendly. Its the best fish butty around by far they cook it fresh so that the fish is not dry. I recommend!

Only ever been to this chip showmen desperate because of the small portions and the unengaging and unhelpful staff. I was told in no uncertain terms that they didn't do large portions of chips. Hearing it was under new management I thought I would give it a try but sadly nothing has changed and there is still no option to choose portion sizes on the menu board,. From previous experience I didn't fare ask for large portions. The only thing that has changed is the portions are even smallwr with skimpy fish.and.a few hard scrapping y chips. Sorry guys but you are going to have eo up your game if you are going to win customer loyalty and stay in business. That place needs to change from what it was before.

Now under new management and I have to say it's the nicest chippy I have had!! I thought the best chippies were in Cornwall but they have been well and truly beaten. New owners are very friendly so if you have been put off in the past by previous owners please try this chippy again and you will not be disappointed.

Great food and service from junction fisheries. The new owners were very welcoming and provided fast, friendly service with a smile. The food tasted great aswell. Will most definitely return and highly recommend.

Unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Asked if they could provide info on their ingredients to check for allergies and was told "if you have allergies you can't eat anything here". A slightly bizarre answer given that the chap didn't know what allergies we were asking about! I took this to mean "I can't be bothered". Given they claim to make their own batter, not sure this would have been too hard! I agree with the earlier reviewer - pop down the road to Marios - great selection and much nicer staff.

Completely agree with the review from 2 years ago - the woman serving isn't any less moody (even rude) 2 years later ! I don't use it any more. Walk 2 mins to Mario's !
