Tuesday night: Hours say they close at 10pm Female says kitchen is closed When I ask what time the kitchen closes usually, she said 9pm on weekdays. It was 8:45pm when I asked her. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE

Adore Jumon. I am mostly plant based and this place is quite simply delicious. Have been a few times - each time it is always very busy and in demand. Highly recommend the honey cauliflower. Helpful staff who do try, service can get a little slow/forgetful, which I forgive as it does be busy. Tables can be quite pushed for space between though it strangely works and adds to the feel. Anyone new I've introduced who are avid meat fans are so pleasantly surprised and impressed plants can taste so good.

Good food but terribly slow service. After I finished the appetizer, no one showed up for about 20 minutes to ask if I wanted to order main course or other apps. I had to ask the server from another table if someone can take my order. The restaurant was fairly busy but this sort of service is a no go.

Had the Dan Dan noodles and a cured/marinated egg thing. Absolutely delicious and one of the most satisfying veggie meals I've ever had. Highly recommend.

Really lovely to see many vegan options. They interior and the staff are lovely as well. The taste of the plates was not bad in the beginning, and the portion sizes are good. As you keep eating it feels like many things are mixed together, without really thinking whether they actually work well together, so something about the taste is a bit off. Noodles also are a bit too soft, but that might be personal preference. Their kimchi is really good though.

Prices on the website for "Big" plates is £14 yet in store we were surprised to find them all at £17. This, on top of the fact that portions do not reflect the price in my opinion. The JFK cauliflower was lovely, however it was only about 5/6 small pieces for £9. Despite this, the large plates were still good and were served quickly which was nice. However for 2 people with one big plate and a small plate to share it came to £47 with a 10% service charge which I think is not applicable to a party of 2 people. Overall I think Jumon is a good spot and we got served quickly with good food, but given the cost of living crisis I think restaurants in Belfast should try and make an effort to provide good value to customers, as I will likely not be returning for a while despite how good the food is. This is one of the best spots for vegetarians in Belfast as the entire menu is vegetarian and I think Jumon should really make the most of that given how lacking vegetarian options are in Belfast.

Does this restaurant deserve the hype surrounding it? No! With 8 tables you are waiting ages to be served and servers will not take you to such tables- you will be pointed towards the table. Savoury food was decent enough but brownie on the chocolate mousse was hard as a rocket- having worked in a restaurant before it’s most likely been sitting there for ages Truly a shame because the concept is top notch

Walked in with a friend with no booking and was sat immediately, expansive menu and beautifully decorated interior.

Blown away by this place. The staff are so nice and welcoming, and I can't remember the last time I literally wanted everything on the menu like when I saw the menu here. So many interesting dishes, either new twists on old classics or original intriguing creations. The ones we ordered were just as good as they sounded, if not better. Classic stuff like kimchi was perfect, and new things like aubergine and mozzarella spring rolls were delicious. My new favourite veggie restaurant. I just wish I lived closer to it, but we will be back.

Food is lovely. I could eat here every week...it's the waiting staff who are the issue. Yes they look incredibly trendy and alternative but they spend more time looking in the mirror than doing their job. We ordered our food and drinks( not from the girl who was supposed to be looking after us). After that no one came to lift plates/ order more drinks and see if we needed anything because theyre all chatting and its seems like the customers are ruining their time together. We could easily have spent another £50 in the restaurant but we got fed up and paid the bill and left. Food is great but some of the staff are draining and dizzy...get rid of the mirrors they mite do some work but no doubt they'll find a shiny surface somewhere to look at

Wow this place is amazing, great decor, friendly staff, fast service but most of all the food was so good. I had the peanut curry which was very flavoursome with good taste and textures. I’d come back to Belfast just for the peanut curry

Probably thee best restaurant in Belfast for vegetarians. I'm not one myself but my partner is. The food is simply beautiful, well.cooked food. Please do yourself a favour and try the crispy honey cauliflower, it is honestly a taste sensation. Go once and you will want to go again, like we did.

If I could give 3.5 stars I would as the service was excellent. I came as a walk in and they told me I could have a table for an hour. Skeptical that I could eat that quickly, I tentatively agreed having been reassured that would be plenty of time. The food came very quickly (less than 10 mins after ordering), which is fine as I was dining for one but might be a bit fast if you wanted to be social. The JFK was delicious but the spring rolls and dumplings average and my dessert (chocolate mousse) was very disappointing. Just a basic mousse really with a raspberry sorbet. Hence 3 stars. All in all a mixed bag. It does rather feel as though they are trying to get as many people through the door as possible.

A zen and delicious little find. Went in on a Thursday and Saturday evening without a reservation and ordered a few things from the menu (all were very good), staff was very friendly and seats near the window are a wonderful spot for people-watching.

Incredible menu with the most exciting and delicious vegan dishes. We ordered most of the small plates to share between 3, and we were really impressed with all the food that came out, it was all beautifully presented and in generous portions.The cocktails were great too. Nice atmosphere and décor inside the restaurant. A real treat!

My daughter chose the restaurant and I was a little reserved when I saw the limited menu. Shouldn’t have worried , the food was hot and very tasty. Restaurant is small and tables are close together but it didn’t feel claustrophobic. Food came quickly and we weren’t rushed out. The menu is small but you can choose a mixture of main and small dishes. Service is included in bill. There was no reason to refuse to pay it though waiter did very little but I would have like to choose myself what to pay.

Food and services here are exceptional. The chefs cook great dishes that are full of flavour and served at pace. Love it, will come here again and again.

Great food at Jumon Incantation Vegetarian and Vegan restaurant in the city of Belfast. What a find. Atmosphere and service outstanding. If you are in Belfast even as a carnivore check this place out. GadoGado and Cigar Rolls for starters, Hungley Malayoo Peanut Curry and Kundan Kurry for mains followed by a Dark and Hoppy and Fogcutter cocktail.

Food was really tasty but small portions which don’t live up to the price. I had the Sayur Lodeh curry which was really tasty, especially the jack fruit which was filling but my partner eats a lot and although his pad Thai was tasty there just wasn’t enough of it for him. Cool decor and plates!

an absolutely fantastic dinner! the place is super cute, just a great vibe, i love the artwork that was all over the walls. the drinks were delicious, lots of cocktail options, we got a nice bottle of wine that was extremely well priced. the dinner items themselves were so good. the kfb (broccoli) was well made, the chaat potatoes was probably my favorite, the fried rice was good (not great), and the tofu was really well made. oh and the spring roll with eggplant in it was SO YUMMY! Really fantastic place, can't go wrong with almost anything here. Service was also really good - loved this place.

The vibe is super chilled out - the staff all look happy which makes a really nice atmosphere. We went for the small plates to share - I think most people would only need 4 of the small plates between two. I was sharing with a husband who is a starvo - we went for 5 and had leftover. Menu has lots to choose from - I don't mind paying a little more than normal when it's this good. Only thing that wasn't as good (but still tasty) was the kecap manis rice. A little undercooked for my liking but everything else more than made up for it. Thanks Jumon for a nice wee night and great food and lovely staff!!

First time for a friend's home hen and were all blown away! So cosy and such delicious food. Staff were all lovely, will be back!

I love this place and had only had previous positive experience with unreal food and service, however this time me and my partner had booked a table and ended up running 5 mins late(which we called ahead and let them know we would be) we arrived at 6:20 for our 6:15 booking and were told we would have to wait on a few tables that were just paying to be free again for us, which we understood as we were late (even if we did notify them) we were told to sit at the bar and we watched 3/4 tables be cleared and we were still not sat after 20/25 mins. then a big party of 10-15 people arrived and were sat at other tables. we ended up leaving as we did not want to be behind a big group order of food as we were hungry. so dissapointed because the food is so unreal. we will return and just hope it doesnt happen again!

One of the best vegetarian restaurants I’ve ever been to (been veggie 7 years). The menu was so extensive and varied that we had such a tough time choosing. We wound up going for 6 of the sharing plates between two - which was more than enough. The sesame cauliflower, dumplings, and Korean fried broccoli are an absolute must. We’ll be back to try the larger plates - the tacos looked sensational. Staff were lovely and highly attentive too :)

Have visited Jumon multiple times before and the food and service has always been brilliant. But this evening, after ordering 5 dishes and 4 drinks between my partner and I, half-way through eating our main meal we were told we needed to leave as soon as our main was finished. We had only been at the table for 1hr 15mins and asked why we had been allowed to order so much if the table turnaround was so limited. We were given a few mumbled apologies but still asked to leave as soon as we finished eating. I’ve never felt so rushed or unwelcome. Such a disappointment to see a great local restaurant prioritise fast food and quick turnarounds over service, experience and its loyal customer base. When you’re paying over £50 per head and getting less table time than at a McDonald’s, something has gone wrong. Needless to say, the 1hr 15mins policy that we were told was on the website, does not exist. Either on the website or the table reservation page.

Starters good, mains too fried and fatty. Couldn’t finish. Waiter disinterested. Music way too loud! We love fresh tasting Asian food . Wagamamas needs to open in Belfast

Really good food here. Went for 5 small plates to share between two of us. With a few recommendations from the staff. Enjoyed everything we tried and if I didn't live in London I'd definitely go back to try the dishes I didn't get to! We had: Gadogado - 5 star JFK - 5 star Jiaozi - 4 star KMP - 4 star Cigar Rolls - 3.5 star Gadogado and and JFK stole the show, great flavours and would make and eat at home if I could! For drinks had the passion fruit ice tea and a cocktail that we cannot remember the name of but again very nice if not slightly on the sweet side for our tastes. Good atmosphere, with music that is not too loud so you can actually have a conversation. Attentive and friendly staff with very quick service. Highly recommend!

Managed to get a walk in table at 845pm on a Friday night. It was busy and had a great atmosphere. Unfortunately a few items on the menu were unavailable but still plenty of options. Amazing veggie and vegan food choice. Cauliflower (JFK) was incredible, a must try. Service was brilliant with recommendations and efficient.

Such a gorgeous selection of small and large plates and cocktails. Adored the broccoli, cauliflower and tofu small plates … and the coconut margaritas… yum!

Nice atmosphere and great service, lots of vegetarian and vegan things to try. Great place with some of the best food that I've tried, the kimchi ramen was 10/10 and the JFK was 100/10 easily one of the best things I have ever had in a restaurant. A bit overpriced for the portion sizes tbh, that's why only 4 stars. Would definitely come back for special occasions.

Absolutely gorgeous vegetarian food! Extremely filling, full of flavour, would definitely recommend. I’d urge anyone going here to try some of the small plates too; especially the Korean fried broccoli (menu item KFB) and the loaded fries (menu item KMP). Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful too, telling us everything we needed to know about the menu.

Wow, the spices in the ramen blew my socks off. Very spicy for me but I could totally handle it, in fact, I LOVED it. 😍 This was a great heat. Multi-layered and super flavorful. The dumplings were tasty too, and not spicy. Prices were on the high side but quality was also superb. I love that they are plant-based. Only vegitarian and vegan dishes. I put 4 stars for atmosphere because I found the music loud and a little much for me, but I am a sensitive. I could see how other people would enjoy it. Also! Possibly the best kombucha, aside from home-made, I have ever tasted! ☺️

Gorgeous food. The JL Chip small plate in particular was amazing. So great to see someone with a focus on vegetarian/ vegan. My husband is neither and he loved his food! I will definitely be back.

Decent food, good drinks but felt more like a cafe than a restaurant. The emphasis was get the food out, to get the next table seated. Restaurant felt very cramped due to trying to fit as many tables as possible in, staff member friendly but unfortunately not the experience we were looking for.

Try the JFK when your their. Its really good.

Second visit. Excellent food. Especially recommend the famous JFK cauli ‘wings’ - just wow 🤩, completely addicted. The kimchi made in-house is one of the best I’ve had, the Korean fried broccoli was fantastic, I loved the crispy cigars.. just an all round great meal!!! Lovely people too. Definitely recommend for something different and really really tasty!

Dog sat at the table across from us ON THE CHAIRS. Shaking and could see the hairs flying off it. Disgusting. The staff memeber didn’t wash the seats down and there was a puddle of liquid on the floor where the dog was initially. Unsure if it was urine. I have flagged this with The local council’s environmental health team. But I think everyone should be aware this place allows this but it isn’t clear. Also when you enter and leave you’re greeted with the smell of staff standing outside smoking at the door.

Where to begin, amazing food, the people were just lovely, kind, friendly, everything you want and more, this isn’t just dinner, it’s an experience, the atmosphere the way the servers engage with you, amazing service and the food is to die for, fantastic flavour, vegan food done properly, tasteful, by talented chefs and people who know how to cook.. particularly recommend the JFK (small plate) and the “chat me up” amazing dishes you will not regret. Get yourself down to Jumon don’t even second guess this review.

Really great vegan food in Belfast! One of my favorite restaurants I ate at while on holiday here. I had the ramen and the cauliflower bites (not technically vegan since they have honey) but wow everything was great! Really cool atmosphere and great service as well. Wish I was there for longer so I could have eaten there again!

First time being there the table was very sticky needs good scrub..waiting to long for my food because they had to cook potatoes which wasn't what I ordered..then got a bottle of beer which someone had already had a drink out of it that was quickly taken away with the glass..so won't be back..

The sides and the drinks were fantastic. I did not like the main I ordered, named the Hungly, it was a mixture of many different flavours that was not pleasant at all, it was no asian, nor fusion. It didnt taste good. It seemed like a mix of different leftovers of asian food with mostard and it had big pieces of whole pepper. Please revise your mains and it should taste like asian food if it says asian fusion.

Jumon is a plant-based Asian fusion restaurant located in the centre of Belfast, and I can safely say this is one of the best plant-based restaurant experiences I’ve had in Belfast. We ordered everything from small plates to desserts. Everything we ordered had a great combination of flavours and spice which everyone in our party really enjoyed, whether they were vegan or not! I want to mention some of the stand out plates: Starting with the smalls, the simple but amazing KFB (Korean fried brocolli) is just wonderfully crunchy and deliciously seasoned with some miso mayo, slices of ginger and a serving of kimchi. Definitely try this out when you are here! The KKP (kkanpoong Crispy Tofu) had a fantastic marinade with some crispy Tofu that was deliciously soft inside. Once again, this was paired with miso mayo and a poppadom which is unconventional but works really well. For the 'bigs' we had the Jumon Dandan which was just silky and delicious with a proper kick. This is the spiciest option on the menu but it is well worth it. The flavour of the oil based sauce and the rich flavour of the mushrooms and crunch of the bok choi worked really well. We also had the Hungley which was a sort of satay sauce but with an Indian twist. It was paired with ramen noodles and some pineapple, basil and peanuts which just tasted delicious! For desserts we tried the Dark Moon and Full Moon, both of which were delicious. The Dark Moon was a satisfying chocolate experience with silky sauce, delicious brownie and some fresh raspberry ice cream. The Full Moon tastes like a fancy loop da loop ice cream and the flavour combination is delicious. There is crunchy chocolate, fresh lime sorbet delivered with a beautiful finish. Also the service was excellent. We were served by Reid who did an amazing job, leaving us asking for nothing, always checking for whether we need more drinks and being good craic whilst he did it. Overall I think this is a no-brainer, if you are in Belfast try Jumon out. I know I will scrambling back here as soon as I can 😁

Staff was very helpful explaining the menu. Tbh the food taste nasty. We ordered the Hungley, Pad Thai, and Malacca Laksa. The Hungley sauce taste bad and smelled weird, couldn't even eat half the bowl. Malacca Laksa wasn't great. The Pad Thai was decent but the tofu was so bland and squishy, it should be marinated overnight for better flavor. Overall a waste of money, only the Pad Thai was eaten. The food isn't bad because its vegan, its bad because flavors are a flop.

For any restaurant to survive these days is a mean feat, but to see a place packed out is amazing. It is easy to understand why when you take in the ambience, the service but most of all the food. We have been lucky enough to have done some travelling this year, but no food anywhere compared to what we had in Jumon. Every time we go away I am always disappointed with the food as it is so hard to find any veggie/vegan places and to find good food is almost impossible. The quality of the food in Jumon is top class and the flavours.... superb. We love our food spicy, but if it's an issue for you check with your server how hot it is rather than write a bad review. You don't get a lot of time at your table, but our server was happy enough to let us sit on for an extra half hour as he had another couple of tables free at the time. You may be moved to the bar to finish drinks but I think that is fine. They need to keep people moving in order to stay afloat. As for the 10% service charge I think that is fair, they certainly deserve it. We'll be back. Thanks to all the staff for our lovely meal and evening.

Two of us split three of the starters for dinner and they were all absolutely delicious. The KFB was my fav. The wait staff was also very friendly. The food was so good we considered going back a second night during our stay in Belfast.

Ate at Jumon for dinner, enjoyed the large selection of Vegetarian / Vegan options. The service was nice and the server took the time to explain different types of beer offered and explained some of the dishes. We ordered the cigar rolls, Korean fried rice, pad Thai, Jumon ramen and a few drinks. The drinks were great and the food was good, however my mind wasn't blown. The pad Thai had a fantastic zucchini garnish which I wish I had more of, but the crispy tofu was unfortunately lacking in flavor (bland). Overall, we had a nice dinner and would recommend anyone looking for a mostly vegetarian/vegan restaurant
