Jumbo House in Wakefield

Started using this restaurant recently and had two lovely meals now. Always hot and fresh. Great authentic flavours.

Ordered a pancake roll. Supposed to be with ham and port. In a crispy roll. All beansprouts and craps of mean. Was so greasy it fell apart and was just so soggy

Normally nice but left me and my son very ill last time

What a disappointment been using this place for years and over the last couple of times now it's been rubbish. Dry and tasteless. I won't be wasting my money here again such a shame.

The worst special fried rice I ve ever had from her always my go to place but after this don't think I ll be using again avoid would be my recomendtion

When we rang, a young-ish man was awful to us, refused to take out order and became verbally abusive. The food is greesy and almost inedible since it's been taken over.

Honestly this takeaway is absolutely amazing it ticks all the boxes you want for a great Chinese, wide selection of undeniably palatable food, absolutely amazingly excelling service and amazing waiting times. I only have this Chinese every 2 weeks but it is an absolute delight when I do.

Tried others In Castleford but this is definitely the best.Always spot on.Only used others when this was closed.

There’s this stinky kid called Michael at the counter, he really disrespected me, I asked him to suggest a good food dish and he said how about ribs! What a disgrace

Food was too salty, I love salt, I usually put extra on, but that was a disgrace, the spare rubs just tasted like they had been dipped in a bucket of salt, gave us both diarreah, noodles was like straw

I ordered King prawn in black bean sauce, it was revolting and not even hot in spices. I nearly choked on the chow mein as the beef was like rubber and got stuck in my throat. The prawn crackers was obviously done a few days before I ordered it. My girlfriends special curry was so hot she started sweating and should never have been hotter than my black bean sauce, there was bits of meat in it and I couldn't even tell what it was. Why are these people still in business, they should be shut down. Not only that but but charged over £10 more than I would Usually pay at a decent take away where all food was devoured in one night. I'm now going to call the authorities to examine the food contents and see if anybody dog is missing, also I just threw up my food in the sink !!!!!!!

Everything was bad, satay sauce was like gravy, ribs in BBQ sauce was so runny and ribs where poor, salt and pepper wings, only got 5 and where rubbish

waited 2 hours didnt turn up so i called 10 times from 3 different numbers and ignored my calls. also try putting the prices up after i calculate always seems to be £10 more.

Unfortunately the food was tasteless, very disappointing. No salt on the salt n pepper chicken pieces, had to add my own. Fried rice was very poor, chips were soggy too. Gravy was OK I suppose. Worst part was the shredded spicy Thai chicken, I'm born in Thailand and often cook Asian cuisine. This was absolutely awful, its just sweet n sour chicken with no hint of Thai at all. I did tell my husband that it wouldn't be great, but he still ordered it. Sorry but I will not order again.

Have used this place since I was a child and I'm over half a century old now. The food is lovely. But unfortunately the meat his declining. The meat used to be Uber Awesome but it's quite fatty now.

Food was horrible! Asked for no pork in the special fried rice but when the food came it had ham in it. Called them up to ask why there was ham in it when I asked for no pork. They argued back that apparently ham is not pork!!! Food was tasteless. Had to bin it. Only ordered from here because our normal takeaway had shut their just eat off for the night. Never doing that again.

Ordered a take away this evening, quickly cooked, unfortunately the quality of the food was really poor, we binned 75% of the food. Won't be returning here.

Had the chicken balls and was really poorly went to the doctors and advised I had gastritus, will never eat Chinese again never mind from here 😷
