Been going here for years and never had a bad meal always good food and very hot and always good

Food arrived on time and hot but unfortunately the food smelt and tasted burnt which was inedible. For what we spent on the takeaway we were really disappointed.

Been using Jumbo house for a few years now and have never had any issue. The food is always hot a tasty and the salt and pepper crispy beef is the best around. 100% recommend.

The food was great,had some left over for tomorrow's dinner,it tastes better next day

Have used this takeaway longer than I care to remember, the food is very good and the service the same. For all you Chinese food lovers I would recommend it.

Love the Jumbo house, only meat quality is rather changeable sometimes good sometimes far too chewy, ribs were inedible and disappointing.

Food normally very good, last time the mixed starter was a bit dry. Follow up 2 years later chips and curry sauce (Amazing !!). Diet starts tomorrow !

Amazing takeaway. We had one of the best Chinese takeaways we have had in a long time. food was cooked quickly on a busy Saturday night and was piping hot when collected. it was great value for money. We loved the beef curry and crispy chicken in sweet and sour sauce. everything about it was perfect from the beef in black bean sauce to the prawn crackers we would definitely recommend.

The food here isn’t great, the fried rice was hard and the chicken was wet and had an egg-like texture. The chow mien was also quite wet and greasy and has no flavour whatsoever. The chicken balls also were tiny and severely over battered which meant you got more batter than chicken. I would not order from here again

My son ordered a large chow mein, chicken fried rice, sns chicken balls, and chips from this takaway. When it arrived, I was shocked to find an ecigarette in the rice! This is disgusting, as none of us smoke, and he is only 12 years of age. Foul behaviour. I will never be coming here again, may even contact the council. I believe the hygiene rating should be brought down to a 1.

Very poor , bland ribs , small portion of mixed fried rice , sweet and sour king prawns , tasteless,chicken balls ok but bland sauce , £28 for two , won’t be using them again !!

£15 for curry sauce and chips and the smallest portion of chicken balls the curry sauce tasted like vomiting I only tasted it and had to go straight to the toilet good job I stocked up on loo roll I think its going to be a long night so thanks jumbo house thanks very much for the squits

Ordered at 1815pm...... 1945pm we get an email stating it's been delayed and by the time it arrives it will be over 2 hours from point of ordering...... Absolutely ridiculous and not acceptable!! Will NOT use these again!

The food is lovely and the service is excellent I have the same thing every time I order I've never had a problem until today. I order house special curry Singapore style but today I had my order delivered and they sent me the wrong curry. I rang the restaurant and they told me all the curries are the same which they are not and the gentleman on the phone was very unhelpful and was not interested In helping me out with this problem.

Fresh hot food with generous portions. Trust the chilli icon on the menu its a good indicator of heat! Reasonable estimates on food Readiness when ordering by phone or in person. Collection recommended as often busy.

After a slight dip in form a few years back, Jumbo is back up there being one of the best takeaways in the area. The house special curry is consistently awesome.

Plenty of meat in dishes but not the tastiest especially the chow mein, which was plain.

Ordered £40 worth of Chinese and will not be ordered from here again. Chips tasted like they’d been heated at least 2 times. Chow mien had hard onions in not cooked through and no flavour at all. Salt and pepper chicken - I’ve got no idea what they think this dish is but it was AWFUL. Worse Chinese I’ve had in a long long time. Used to be gorgeous a couple years back now so poor. Also didn’t get the usual free prawn crackers which I would of just paid for if I knew they didn’t give them anymore.

Food cold and tasteless, chips cooked and cooked and over cooked, delivery after phoning to find out were my food was, over 2 hrs.. never ever order again binned the disgusting food..

Unable to get through by phone as it keeps ringing out. No online option to order either - lovely food though but its dissaponting that they are hard to order from.

I have tried to order by phone for 3 weekends in a row now and i cannot get through. I dont know if they are still taking phone orders as permanently engaged. Uber eats is easier

Food is delicious and always tastes good. But you can never get through to order on the phone! The last 2 times we’ve not been able to order as the phone is constantly engaged!

Great for takeaway Chinese food

Have always used Jumbo house for takeaway as it’s probably the best in the area for food, however service has got worse and worse recently! We tried for the best part of 30 minutes to get through on Saturday night and eventually gave up trying and decided just to go in and order. Had a fairly large order but was told 20 minutes. Sat and waited 20 minutes, got to 30 and as it was busy thought no problem. Got to 40 minutes started getting bit annoyed. I have no problem with a wait but the waiting area was now full of people waiting and in the same position waiting way over the time they’d been told! After an hour I was beyond belief that it was taking so long! The manager came out and basically started shouting at his customers telling everyone waiting that he didn’t have enough staff in the kitchen! After AN HOUR AND 15 MINUTES waiting I was finally given my food. Food was good as it normally is however their service very definitely lets them down.

Ordered from here for the first time in a good while and the food is exactly how it used to be. Great food and delivered on time.

Awful service from Jumbo house. Waited 40minutes for food to be brought out, which would be fine if 5people who ordered prior to us also waited that amount of time. After 5 people that ordered after us had received their food and we still hadn’t been given ours, decided to query where our food was. Began to speak, only for the lady to ignore us and proceed to answer the phone, that customer was told it would be ready in 17minutes. After finishing she went to walk away, managed to ask where our food was, no response, walked away and walked back out with our food. Not even so much an apology. Decided there and then we will not be going back again, this decision was made even easier after eating the food. Horrible, definitely not worth the wait or the money!

Always have a home delivery wait time can be long but food is hot. I have noticed food can change not sure if they have different chefs.

Just had my first meal from Jumbo House and the best thing about it was hot. The spring was all bean sprouts and nothing else, the fried rice was dry and burnt and sweet and sour sauce took the enamel from teeth. So it a no no from me.

17.40£ for a small chicken chowmein, small yung chow fried rice and a small salt and pepper chicken, that’s the amount of money for all large portions, never going to buy from here again

Trying to help the local businesses we decided on a takeaway delivery, ordered Chicken Chinese style,curry sauce,chips, Chicken in Peking sauce with egg fried rice. WHAT A MISTAKE !!!!! NEVER EVER AGAIN FROM HERE.!!!! Driver turned up, NO SOCIAL DISTANCING WHATSOEVER, the food was just inedible, bland, grey looking chicken, bean sprouts that you could chew forever and not disintegrate with your teeth, they finally ended up like small lengths of rope which had to be discàrgded. In times like this profiteering should be made illegal across the board. Hang your heads in shame Jumbo House.

Ordered Egg Fried Rice for my partner who is vegetarian, as she was eating it she came across what looked like a peice of beef you would find in a chow mein, cross contamination is not acceptable, if she had a serious allergy or something it could of caused serious issues. I will NEVER be returning to this place again and I suggest you don't even bother trying!

My mum has been temporarily house bound recently so we have been using this take away more than usual. I have picked something different every time and have been pleased with the quality and flavour.

Came here last night, even though I made the order over the phone and was told 20 minutes we still waited when we got there but it was very busy with loads of deliveries going out. Great food and still keeps up the reputation which I remember from years ok.

Absolutely appalled to find meat in my vegetable chow mein I'm vegetarian would not recommend to fellow vegetarians. Plus the vegetable chow mein contained only mushrooms nothing else. Very poor will not use again.

Out go to place for a takeaway within the area (even though we have 2 others closer). Lovely tasty food, always fresh and piping hot. Obviously popular given we have to try a few times to get through on the phone, but definitely worth the effort.

Just bought a beef curry and won’t be rushing back! All the beef was tough and half of it inedible.

Nice food, nice decor in the building itself. I had a take away chow mein. I called in advance and ordered it, then just collected it on my way past. It was quick and efficient. I wouldn't call the food healthy, as such, but then it is a Chinese take away so what would you expect? It was a good chow mein, and I'd go again.

Only use this when I visit my mothers but still a firm favourite and the pancake rolls are hard to beat.

Egg fried rice didn't taste nice and mini spring rolls had no filling in them

Our order took an hour to come and when it did the food tasted bland and tasteless! Chicken fried rice tasted like boiled rice mixed in with chicken we also ordered crispy chicken in sweet and sour sauce which did not taste like sweet and sour! Really not very happy £20 wasted

Ordered here and went to pick up, friendly service, delicious food. Still one of the nicest pancake rolls around.

I've been using Jumbo House for years, as has the whole family. Every now and then I'll try somewhere different for a change, which so far has been the one on Broad Lane, one in Allesley, one in Coundon, the one in Banner Brook, the Wing Wah and a few others.

We have always used Jumbo House when we get a take away when I am at my mums. We had family over from France so all went to her house and the food had been ore ordered with a time arranged. It was a little late but the portions where large and the food tasted great. Maybe not as good as it once was but still one of the best options in the area.

Again. Promised 45 mins delivery on a Wednesday! 70 mins later still no food. Phoned up and they said on its way. Told them not to bother and 30 mins later they are knocking in the door. The business is 3 mins by car. Pull your socks up. Deliver when promised and don’t deceive your customers. Keep giving you chances and continue to disappoint

Used junbo house for the past 20 years.sorry but quality going down hill rapid. Old school great but young guns very poor. Take away a bit pricey and delivery shocking. Cold on delivery. Need to invest if offering delivery. No star

Went for a takeaway back in October and had to check with myself whether I had gone to Jumbo House! Not sure if there are new owners but as a loyal advocate for over 20 years I will definitely not be using this takeaway again. Beef in black bean sauce tasted awful - The meat was incredibly chewy and unpalatable. The rest of our meal was below par and we threw the takeaway in the bin after a few minutes! I have started using other local Chinese takeaways which I never thought I would. Go to the Vineyard on Broad Lane instead - much nicer!

This used to be very good. Always keep you waiting ages for food, tell you 25 minutes on the phone, but it’s actually 25 minutes when you get there. Very poor there these days.

Solía vivir en la zona y uso Jumbo casa todo el tiempo porque era el mejor de la zona. Yo estaba en mi casa los padres y decidimos coger una comida desde aquí. Parece que los niños pequeños que solía jugar detrás del mostrador están crecidos y corriendo, y me pareció que la comida era excelente. Probablemente el mejor rollito de Pancake.

Yo por mi vida no puedo entender por qué la gente le gusta este lugar! A la orden, lleva años de entrega lenta también. Una vez recopilada la comida, como me dijeron 1. Esperar cinco horas para la entrega. Todavía esperamos en una cola en la tienda para media hora para recoger nuestro pedido. La comida ha ido cuesta abajo, así que camino, mala calidad de carne grasienta, que siempre es difícil y gustos nada fresco. Preferiría pasar hambre de comprar cualquier cosa, desde aquí. Necesitan poner por la mala calidad.

Fancied a Chinese Saturday night so instead of jumping on the train to the Chinese quarter in Brum decided to go local, WHAT a big mistake, phoned up to order (that took the best part of 15 mins to get through) eventually gave my order, spring rolls to start followed by chicken chow mien and chips, was then told 25 minutes. Rolled up 25mins later only to wait another 10 mins to even get to speak to someone. Eventually £9:80 was handed over and I took a seat with the rest of the starving customers, a further 10mins and I was handed my feast. I got home absolutley famished and ready to tuck in, the spring rolls were majority filo pastry with very little filling, chicken chow mien was very pastey and hardly any chicken at all and the least said about the multiple cooked chips the better. I should have read the reviews on T/A before I even ventured out as I would have gone straight to the station, an expensive lesson learned and one I SHALL NOT repeat.

Esperamos una media hora, como un montón de órdenes y no hay suficiente personal. La comida era sosa y sin sabor. El pato era de color gris y yo no estaba convencido de que era el pato. Olía y sabía. Una experiencia verdaderamente horrible. Parecía que prisa la comida. No utilizan ingredientes frescos. Evita este lugar como la peste.

We had a delivery, the food was very Nice however not a lot of it at all. We had the chicken balls and were 7 in the pack but as small as popcorn chicken. Extremely small portions and. expensive for what you receive

I used to use this Chinese take away when I used to live in the area but haven't used it for years. It was always the best by far. I went back last night and after reading reviews was worried that it has gone bad. This was notbghe case, the food was exellent and I would have to recommend.

Always love this place, great service with great food, however the last few times the food has been bland and to salty. Will go again and hope it's a blip.

The waste from this place is absolutely disgusting. I had two forks of the stuff and threw the rest in the bin.Be warned, you pay full price for small tray portions, and even then it is unpalatable.Don't waste your time phoning to complain either because the owner doesn't seem to be in the slightest interested.Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. You'll save money, and get decent food too.

The food is all quite greasy, even the chow mein has lots of oil on it, the meat in the dishes is all poor quality. I know a lot of people rave about this place. I don't understand why, very long wait for poor quality greasy food. We have now stopped using jumbo house after several disappointing meals.
