Good food quick service and a reasonable price

I've always loved jumbos Staff are polite Café is clean Food is hot and prepared fresh Never have to wait for long It's conveniently located It's open all day and doesn't close in the afternoon like some places. Can't fault it. Portion sizes are large too.

Food is nice friendly staff decent enough prices , the only downside is some of the people who frequent the cafe eating habits leave alot to be desired

After a hot day motoring about Liverpool shopping, we unpacked at home, thought of a savoury supper and a few drinks. Rang Jumbo on Priory Rd not far from our house as friends said it was good. (We usually eat local Indian / Bangladeshi for special meals.) Placed order for 3 meals and sundries for us to collect : Ready in 15 minutes for collection said the lady ! (Wow) NB: Cash Only - Jumbo don't do cards - bit 70's style - It's an experience - An amazing taste experience as well. Picked up some good wines from the nice One Stop on Priory Rd then our meals from the Jumbo. Lean Pork Char Sui (big savoury portion) Beef Szechuan style (same big portion) Chicken with Ginger and Spring Onion (Same - loads of food) Large Fried Rice Bean sprouts fried (savoury and crunchy) With 3 'Chop Suey Rolls' (These were much better than the usual one gets ) When we sat down and ate at our kitchen table it was difficult not to be greedy. The cooked meats in sauces were exquisite and so moreish. Rice was super tasty and beansprouts fresh, crunchy savoury and so moreish. Had our fill and enough left for at least 2 further double meals in the freezer. Top Class Value. We Paid £37 - Enjoyed 2 full meals. Have a further 4 meals at least in freezer. Absoloutely Excellent Jumbo. Highly recommend.

Great place foods good staff ok.

Shrimp fried rice is delicious. It's called King prawn fried rice. You can order Won ton soup and chicken Sichuan sauce. The shop doesn't accept cards, only cash.

Great range of choices from English cooked breakfast to full Chinese or even a Sunday roast!!

Chinese cafe, I don't really like Chinese Food but they make a fantastic mushroom omelette there, their Big Breakfast is OK too.

Went in for a breakfast and coffee , Breakfast was average but the coffee was served with wet paper serviette bits floating around the top and also at the bottom of the cup. Went up to change coffee but server was adamant it was milk and that's how the coffee is . Wouldn't exchange or refund. Service not so great.

Got my partners order wrong then proceeded to unprofessionally argue with him when he asked for it to be fixed and demanded more money despite him have already paid . Never witnessed such a rude interaction before and was genuinely shocked with such money grabbing unfair behaviour from a business owner .

Asked for salt and pepper chicken and salt and pepper chips, came out with salt and pepper chicken and plain chips so i said I didn’t order these chips and I wanted the salt and peppers ones, then i was asked for £4.50 for salt and pepper chips but I hadn’t had the money because i had paid for the meal already

Just ordered crispy chilli beef to eat in, it was rancid. The beef was off. I told the lady and she took to the kitchen then proceeded to bring it back out to me. I thought I was going to vomit so I had to leave. I’d avoid this place like the plague!

Jumbo cafe has a diverse range of food....from a full Chinese menu to the good old baked potato. All the food is excellently priced. You can eat in or takeaway.....Great place to eat.....

Food was disgusting. Ordered duck chow Mei and it tasted so bad I had to throw the whole pack with food away. Very bad.

Ordered salt and pepper chicken fried rice and curry , got chicken rice and chips no curry, they apologised and fixed this . Food was nice though I like green pepper and bigger onions in my snp but that's personal preference . Portions are huge so well worth what they charge .

I have had food from here before but the last 2 times I been the food gone down hill, they don't listen to what you are say and the food is just warm up and some of the chips can't cooked fully the salt and pepper chicken wings are greasy for the price you expect better will not be returning

Forgot to put items i had ordered and paid for in the bag. When i called up the said i can walk back and pick them up even though it is a good 15 min walk and i was asking for them to knock the price off my next order. They hung the phone up on me when i was trying to explain this to them. Very rude over the phone.

I have been coming to Jumbo for around 4 years. I have eaten here at all times of day. The all day breakfasts are lovely, the Chinese food is amazing and their portions are so generous. It's a lovely family run business and everyone is so nice that works there.

Cool but the prices are going to high

i ordered the bbq special, i came steamed and ready for my delight, it ate it fast and quickly and now its gone

I dont know. This is clearly not my type of restaurant so I didn't enjoy the food. I did appreciate the service (minimal, but she did the effort to change a few things in my dish) I also liked the variety and different options, of course the price is very cheap, but I'm guessing the ingredients are too. I should mention I had a tummy ache about 20min after eating, but again, I'm not used to Chinese food. Everything was quite saucy and fatty. I did order a weird version of the English breakfast so probably it's my own fault😅

One of the worst burger I ever had in my life.The coffee wasn't a coffe it was boiled water with a spoon of milk,felt like glass washed water.Its famous for English breakfast may be,since I m not a fan of it I didn't order.Food wasn't worthy of that price....never gonna visit again.

I've been to this cafe before & it's okay. It's got a good menu, the food's good & they look after you. Even when it's full you don't have to wait very long for your order so I'll definitely be visiting again.

Very nice, clean cafe with a vast menu offering both eat in and take away. The service is great and the food excellent. The cafe is very popular and at times can be very busy. Worth a visit.

Excellent service and delightful Breakfast

Perfect New Years Day breakfast after celebrating the new year in Liverpool. Best bacon and fried egg on toast, I've had in a long time and a nice brew to finish off. Very clean and friendly staff. Would definitely go again.

I would recommend you check your order befor leaving the cafe as once again I got all the way home to find the wrong order again and had to take it back the only right thing on the order was my meal which was stone cold by time I got to eat it.

Been going here for years, dont know anywere else like it, can get your usual chinese food and also a full english, prices are the same as your regular takeaway, last time i visiited i got special in ok sauce with chipsvand a soup for under £10. The portions are large enough that me and my partner share a main course, of you fancy cheap but tasty food its worth a try

When attending a match at Anfield we aim to go the Jumbo cafe and get lunch.dinner. Excellent service, very quick great food and very reasonably priced. Would recommend it!

Came here after doing the Anfield Stadium tour. Large menu with both Chinese and English meals available, including fry ups. Really fast service and the food tasted great. Could not recommend highly enough.

Great food, cafe would benefit from some sort of air conditioning as with it being very busy even with the windows open it is still very hot inside.

If you want a good chinese meal to eat in or take away then definitely worth a visit. Great quality and value for money.

Well the mystery of why the duck I have been eating from this place tastes so strange has finally been solved. Today the wife and I were shopping in farm foods. We were shocked to see that the nice lady from Jumbo's was loading up two trolleys of £1 frozen fish in breadcrums 2 in a pack plus stacks of whole frozen goose. So if you think your fish tastes like regular fish from out of your freezer that's because Jumbo's have bought the same fish from farmfoods as you and I would and at 50 pence a portion. What about that crispy duck that now tastes a little strange that's because it is goose and not duck. The price of duck in farmfoods is double the price of goose pound per pound so the cheeky staff at Jumbos have spotted an opening here and are cashing in on bargains found at farmfoods. Now before anyone says "that's just good business" remember that if you order duck then by law they must provide duck. What else could this place be selling that you think is freshly prepared? Just to be sure that the lady was from Jumbo's just like a pair of sad wannabe detectives we followed the van back to priory road and watched as the goose and fish were unloaded into the shop. Disappointed and we won't be eating from there again. If it ain't on the menu then don't serve it.

My husband had a salt and pepper share box and it was huge. He said it was really good. Best salt and pepper chicken he has had.

The meal i ordered looked like Iceland's frozen fish and chips. The peas were like water. One good thing the curry sauce was nice

Just got a mixed grill which in my knowledge consists of a sausage,chop, steak, bacon, liver, and mushroom and onion gravy and peas and fried egg on top. Mine was liver, steak? few mushrooms in gravy and a fried egg and a ton of garlic!! Not recommended at all!
