Jumbo Chinese Takeaway in Liverpool

Food was good, worth the price only issue was that it was all just chucked into a pizza box which couldn't close properly and messy.

Nice food at reasonable prices.

The price of it is horrible and disgusting, they charge you for sauce and have to pay for prawn crackers. Never order from it

An hour and a half to get to two portions of chips mushroom gravy delivered untied the bag to find the chip wrappers soaking wet from clearly being sat in the bag for ages and a big black hair on top of one of the papers - first time ordering can safely say won't be ordering again

Everything we ordered went in the bin 🤦‍♀️ waste of £30 Black wonton soup Rice looked old and recooked it kinda stuck together bit mushy ? , chips were very pale undercooked and tasted of something dirty from the oil 🤢 and crispy beef in Szechuan source was extra think slop in a tub with about 10 cloves of garlic in it and that’s all it tasted of.

Fantastic chippy! Food is gorgeous and they do serve jumbo size portions!!!

Can of coke was warm, chicken in my chicken curry seemed to have a lot of fat in it & had to spit out a duck roll as they’re was something crunchy/hard in one them, first time In my life that I’ve not enjoyed a Chinese, so disappointed after spending almost 40.

Been using this place for almost four years and the food has been great and it's always been reliable until the last couple of months. Don't know whether it's changed hands but the service is awful now. You wait for ages then the order isn't even right when it comes. They sent two pots of curry sauce when our order was two soups.

I was looking to order something small just for dinner but when my order came through, I almost passed out. I had to share it with my aunt and cousins and it tasted so good. The food was massive: I’ll definitely be ordering from you guys again. Thank you for a hefty dinner. I’m stuffed

Too much salt in all meals !!!! I’ve tried this nice chippy so many times now …… The salt in every otherwise beautiful meal is highly overpowering!

Foods got better fresh wise but its bland think ill go back to my old chippy even prawn toast soggy

My food I ordered arrived 50 minutes late and the chips and spring rolls were cold. The chop suey wasn't great very mediocre. Never again

This is the worst takeaway we have ever had. The salt and pepper box wa a pizza box with everything just throw in. It was greasy and full of chilli not pepper. Threw most of it away. It was last nights left overs! I would not buy from here ever again.

The food here is top notch, all of the meats were full of flavour and so tender, I personally like Very spicy Curry, i have it XXX spicy and it is just heaven on a plate, my wife does not like spicy food but loves the curry here also, it is a refreshing change from all the other Chinese take away's that all use the same bland curry paste. delivery is efficient and when I went in to their shop all the team were very friendly. I can not rate Jumbo take away on West Derby Road high enough, I have just finished my meal from here for the 3rd night in a row, the only problem I have now is convincing my wife to have our tea from here 7 Days a week :), Many thanks guys, Kind regards, The Big Man :)

This takeaway is quite far from me, but the food always turns up on time and piping hot. I've never had any issues with the food or anything else and its definitely our go to chippy. I just wish the did banana fritters

Food was awful, under cooked chips, duck spring rolls that had more spring onion then meat and also a bone in it!!! The sweet and sour CHICKEN, the meat was brown and weird looking!!!

First time ordering here for years, absolutely gorgeous, cannot fault. Lovely food , so tasty, recommend noodle boxes, portions are massive too so got tea for tomorrow and I have a big appetite so shows you how much you get. Well done to this chippy !

We ordered our food at 19:10 and the food was delivered at 21:00. This has happened before, and we said we would never go here again, but thought it wouldn't happen again. How wrong were we!!! After An hour, we phoned to ask were our order was up to and was told that the driver hadn't collected it and that we were lucky, some people had waited 2 hours. Well we waited just short of 2 hours. It's a shame, as the food is actually nice. But the customer service and delivery times are appalling. Maybe they should employ more staff including delivery drivers. Definitely won't be going back!!!

7.50 on Uber eats for the crispy sweet chilli chicken you’d expect it to come with rice, what an absolute joke, chicken wasn’t even that nice either, go somewhere else.

Disgusting service, woman on the phone told me lies for over an hour saying my order was on its way when in actual fact it wasn’t. Poor driver arrived after me cancelling my order and phoning the shop 3 times and could not apologise enough, I told him it wasn’t his fault but I suppose he feels in the firing line. In actual fact if I would have been told they were running late I would have accepted that but the woman clearly lied 3 times, I will never use this chippy again

I love this place, its my favourite Chinese. Prices are decent, portions are decent. Just dont order from uber since the drivers have no idea how to get to it.

Food took hours and hours. Most of the food was alright but Ordered chicken fried rice and they put pork in it. Jewish so don’t eat pork , called up ,the woman was very rude and lied saying that it wasn’t their take away it was a different place😂. It was their place 100% I ordered it from their address and it was their contact number. Not to mention they are the only take away called jumbo.Can see others have had the same problems also. Then she put the phone down and was extremely rude. Shame would have returned if she wasn’t so cheeky. felt like turning up and giving her a slap, now I know why they had the plastic barrier long before Covid hit 😂

Very poor service. Made an order that would take 5 minutes to cook, they didn't even need to cook it because it was all there in the warming rack. They prioritise online orders over walk ins and just ignore you. Used to be my main chippy but will never go back again as there are plenty of better ones on Tuebrook

Called in, gave order, then Waited for ages for large fish dinner, just eats and deliveroo taken over, very poor service and fish very small, won't go again, the food I got was nice though.

After reading most of the reviews I realised I wasn't the first person to receive poor customer service. Like some else has said it is not the Uber driver's fault if the order is late. They refused to give the Uber driver my order. He asked me to call the takeaway so that they would give him my order. When I called the lady on the phone she was so rude, she even hung up the phone without finishing off her sentence. He told me upon arrival they even tried to make him cancel my order he refused to do so. I am greatful he challenged them. Then again I'm not sure if it was worth it, because the food tasted like it had a lot of MSG in it. Considering its my first time ordering from here, I am not going order again!

Gave the Uber driver the wrong order and then refused to do anything about it other than ‘go through uber’ the wrong order that we received was tasty at least?!

Chips were warm ups and the ribs in the salt and pepper box looks like like it is one chopped into little ones, mediocre at best

Absolutely delicious food. I had the sweet and sour mixed meat and omg it has to be the best sweet and sour sauce I've tasted in Liverpool. The portion of chips that came with it was well generous, I reckon you could have fed a family of 4 lol. Will definitely be my new Chinese take out from now on ☺. Oh and the delivery was quick to by a nice friendly driver. (ps, I can recommend the prawn on toast to, delicious 😋).

The food here is large, the service is good, and the food is delicious.
