Really nice food lovely staff great service

It was my B/day 8 adults 4 kids service got mixed up with banquet and starters had to ask several times for food and drinks been there several times before but friday 27th was terable.

great and fun experience, staff are so engaging , refreshing

Not the first time I had been the food is always spot on hot fresh and tasty my only criticism is there is no card payment

Big portions & the meals are seasoned well with plenty of flavour. Puts Chinese take aways around the area to shame.

I eat at a Chinese almost every week. The All you can eat was ok and cheap but not for me so we ate from the menu -very disappointed- Crispy duck had no crispy- the pancakes were rock hard - but I tried - a thimble of hoisin sauce is no use to anyone so after getting 3 lots I gave up . Got a shock when I got the bill.(I hope people understand this is the Jumbo restaurant in Marmaris Turkey Not the Jumbo in Liverpool)

Arrived at the takeaway and ordered my food almost 45 mins later still waiting the poor girls at the front were run off their feet gets home food is luke warm prawn toast inedable definatly wont be returning

At least one member of the staff is rude, rascist and abusive. Others are ok. Manager or owner heard her racist comments to a customer but couldn't care less and failed to act. Food average. Disorganised serving of the public in take away. Poor effort overall.

Update: Service within the chippy is non existent ordered a phone order (only a soup and spring rolls but I know it gets busy) I arrived 15 minutes later and qued to let them know I had a phone order was told to wait on the right even though what I presume was my soup in the heater. 20 minutes later still no service. If your going to take phone orders have someone serving them. Got a staff member taking orders and someone just for the till can't be difficult to have someone on phone orders the heater was full of meals! Went to the chippy not the restaurant been trying other places recently as you can see from my other reviews but nothing beats Jumbo's they just need a card machine it's 2022!!!

Not the best menu and food very salty

Called to make reservation and was told no ptoblem 2 people just walk in. On arrival we were ushered to a table for 2 in busiest part of the restaurant and I asked could we sit somewhere quieter and was resfused point blank.(felmale floor managet rude and abrupt) Ordered food from al carte menu soup, dim sum platter and 2 mains. Hot n sour soup was amazing, really spot on best ive had in a long time. Female waitress was efficient and a little character very good. Dim sum platter was average but edible. Mains came we ordered fillet steak black pepper on sizzling platter. The platter was cold to the touch. Whe n we asked if it could be transfered to a sizzling platter the angry female manager said if we wanted the platter sizzling the we should have asked for it. Never in 50 years of visiting chinese resaurants in Liverpool have i be told that. Anyway the dish returned to the table this time on a hot platter except eot it was beef cantonese and not beef black pepper (was not fillet steak either as advertised was silked skirt beef cheap knock off). Anyway wasnt what was ordered. The second main course was crispy chilli chicken with soft noodles the dish arrived tasted very tangy overpowering and was crispy atter no chicken inside. This is imported frozen rubbish not reataurant quality. Didnt eat the main courses or rice or noodles but where told we would have to pay for one main course another manager came and sorted it out we paid for what we had souo amd starter and left. Wouldn't go back kr receommended

Ribs were the worst we’ve ever had…dry and nasty. So called ‘fillet steak’ was nothing more than cheap cuts of beef. King prawn oyster sauce was nice but not enough oyster sauce. All just done on the cheap with crap ingredients . The only saving grace was the sides of fried rice and noodles with beansprouuts…. Which…, let’s face it…:I could have done myself better

Tried for the first time and nothing to shout about really, chicken and sweetcorn soup very weak and taste bit burnt bbq sauce aslo quite weak ribs ok. 3 out of 5 🌟

It's called Jumbo for a reason! One portion of chips feeds 3 people. This place is always busy so phone up with your order beforehand to save waiting.

It’s was a lovely restaurant, staff were polite and helpful. Friendly to the children. Food was delicious. Vegetarian options and you can let them know any allergy concerns. Free parking and plenty of spaces. Very clean, immaculate toilets and very comfortable chairs. Had a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Will be going back again

This is for the takeaway, I've never been to the restaurant. Came on a Friday night, expected it to be busy but it was absolute carnage. About 30 people in there, no line or orderly queue just a free for all. I queued for about 15 minutes having ordered by phone only to be told to wait on the right as they were all phone orders. One customer was getting served about every 5 minutes. I was there for 45 minutes, stressed and hungry. Never known a more disorganised place. I walked out to go to another chippy. Car park was also manic, few cars blocking others in and couple of near crashes.

Pre ordered for delivery £60. Order cancelled with no explanation. Dire service.

A bit overpriced, they share food with takeaway next to it and sell it on plates for double the price. Used to come here a few years ago it was better food and bigger portions then now...

My favourite chineese resturant in Liverpool. Decor lovely, food gorgeous and staff very attentive.

This is a lovely place but not to relax in you get rushed through your meal then card machine pushed in face asking for tip and very expensive do not get time to look through bill rushed in rushed out.

WOULD 100% RECCOMEND I went to this restaurant with very low expectations because of the outward appearance of the restaurant but after they sat me down I was greeted nicely and seated in a nicely lighted area the food came quick and was delicious the only problem I had with it was the small Chinese child that looks in despair in the back kitchen making spring rolls fly high sam mao 🕊️🕊️🕊️

Beautiful interior, very clean. Staff very smartly dressed, friendly and attentive. Food is always delicious. Toilets are very clean too. Car parking facilities.

First time visiting here. Lovely place. Big room. Got the set meal for 2. Was plentiful. No prawn crackers with the soup. Crispy duck was lovely. Sweet and sour chicken was nice. Beef green pepper nice. Fried Rice nice. We ordered water. But got given expensive bottled water. Should of asked for tap water. Would go again.

Sort your staff out in your takeaway….put an order through, waited ages to find that the order was never given in,so I walked out after 30 minutes of standing there for nothing..the lady standing on the till doing nothing could be mucking in & maybe there wouldn’t be as many errors going on…won’t be returning again,my last few visits have been a awful experience…😡

I must visit this restaurant once a week and it will be my last time we ever visit and I will be tell all my friend and family not to give them there custom placed our orders then bill come and was charged £7.80 for three pieces of frozen broccoli yes plain on it own without any sauce to be giggled at this won’t be my last review and it certainly won’t be the last time I talk about them absolute disgrace do not give them your money

Great parking, takeaway attached which was rammed. Restaurant is big and airy, nice decor and furniture. Staff friendly and helpful. Between us we had Salt and pepper spare ribs starter, chicken satay starter. The ribs were tasty but the chicken was just plain weird. I'm guessing it was deep fried thigh meat rolled in sesame seed. Mains of chicken curry - was ok, and a beef gung po which I was recommended to me, as I wanted some chilli heat. It was not hot but very sweet. Egg fried rice appeared to br just plain steamed white rice with a bit of egg in it. Certainly not fried. Soft noodles were fine. Prawn crackers were fresh and my favourite part of the meal dipped in a side of curry sauce. With drinks came to 75

Sui Mia were nice thats about it, chicken spring rolls well failed to find the chicken in them, had the black pepper beef which was that salty I didn't eat it an my husband had the crispy chilli beef that was unedible as the crispy bits of batter again failed to taste the beef in them near broke ya teeth they were thay hard, safe to say I won't b returning

We are regular visitors to Jumbo and we highly recommend it. The food is delicious and the staff are so friendly and professional. Nothing is too much trouble. We are also learning phrases in Chinese which we try out in the staff. They are always either happy that we know some Chinese or help if we ask if we are correct. Thank you for making our dining experience a positive one

Met up with my family for a birthday meal, and it couldn't have been better. All dietary requirements adhered to, drinks swiftly received and bills separated as we ordered. They've got a new fan.

The lady I think her name is Sue is lovely she runs this chippy and all the customers seem to know her. The food was lvly the fish was fish and the batter was throughly cooked and crispy. Would definitely go bk and highly recommend 👌

OK for a quick Chinese but only about average. Nothing to write home about.

Went for take out. Spring rolls are about 8 inches long and thin and crispy with a nice tasting paste inside . And the salt n pepper wings are tasty but not crunchy . The outside batter is all gummy which I like.

The food here is lovely, very tasty and freshly cooked. The staff are also lovely. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

First visit. Very pleasantly surprised. Large restaurant with great decor and seating. We all had the Chinese set meal,which was excellent. Very well prepared and presented. Loads of staff on duty,all really friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend.

The place is lovely and the service was good. Food was nice, but it's a bit too pricey for my taste. I also think they could benefit from a more detailed menu so you know exactly what you are getting.
