We arrived for Sunday breakfast at 9.40 and were promptly seated and ordered. It took over 1/2 hour and 2 enquiries for our breakfast to arrive. When it did my poached eggs were stone cold. Considering it was £30 for two very modest portions this wasn’t very good.

Upon arriving we were promptly sat and we ordered as standard, again I appreciate the slight wait on food and honestly, I was just looking forward to it as I always hype it up to my friends and I was with someone who hasn’t ate at Juliet’s before. However, that soon changed when my food arrived (Young Betty Bacon). After taking a few bites I had to pull a hair out of my throat (it really was as disgusting as it sounds). I mentioned this to the server (male, mid height and mid length, curly style hair) - to which he responds “oh god, is it one of mine?”. He then proceeded to ask “what do you want now?”, so I replied my order again. He went to the kitchen and after a short wait he gave me a new plate, which was welcomed but by this point I was eating alone as my friend had ate their food. When he returned he asked if it was okay, to which I responded that the food was, but it was frustrating that I was now eating alone. He then huffed and said “fine, I’ll sort that out for you”, when walking away, he threw his hands towards his head clearly frustrated, grabbed a slice of cake and when putting it down on the table responded “well this will change that for you” and walked off. I appreciate it was busy and that makes it feel more stressful for the staff, but I really don’t think that should make the customer service lessen in quality. Unfortunately the website slogan “only the best” does not reflect my experience this visit.

A must-visit, the salted caramel espresso banana bread is to DIE for!!! (I came especially for that, and wasn’t disappointed). The salted dark choc marshmallow cookie was also incredible. I only tried those two things I can imagine the rest of the food is just as sublime! Also super friendly staff :)

I have been going here for nearly 5 years but they will no longer have my custom. Even though the coffee is great it has been spoilt by new members of staff being taken on who have attitudes. One of them made me feel like I was being a nuisance in ordering a second coffee and I actually said to her that I was sorry to bother her even though it was her job to serve me. Another one acting over enthusiastic to see a customer then looking at me as if she had a bad smell under her nose. Not appropriate for 2024. What a shame to let that place down like that as I used to meet friends in there who also have been told about that behaviour. Shame as all the others are very nice.

We visited around midday on a Saturday and expected a bit of a wait as you can’t book ahead. There was a queue and we expected to wait a while, however we were given a table within 10 minutes which was great. The guy that seated us told us we could order everything through the QR code on the table and he did seem a little impatient when my friend then asked for a coffee but we put that down to it being very busy. She was told she could order everything (including coffee) with the QR code. The menu was great, loads of choice for savoury, sweet, coffees and juices. We ordered the sausage, egg and hash brown bagels which were nice enough. We then decided to order the banana bread which came warm with a salted caramel butter and OMG was this worth the extra calories as it was amazing! Overall, we were in Juliet’s for over 2 hours and had a great experience. We didn’t feel rushed at all and the food and drink was fab.

Haughty and sassy staff. We ordered two coffees and asked for one not to have foam or cream on it (other coffee shops call it Wet flat white). Anyway, not a crazy or difficult request if you ask me; however the guy behind the counter, after hesitating for a moment about whether if to grant the request or not, argued that I shouldn’t be ordering flat whites as that’s not it; which I found quite rude, especially his tone. The worst of it is, when we tasted the coffees, they were far out from being a flat white but more of a very weak latte. I have been in coffee trainings before so I’m not a complete stranger as to how to make them. If you are going to act as a ‘know it all’ and correct your customers, at least provide amazing quality right? Plenty of nice coffee shops around the area to be stopping here again. As a hospitality manager I don’t usually leave bad reviews as I understand sometimes you can have a bad day. However on this occasion I believe it’s fair to do so, it’s not the coffee itself but his attitude ruined our experience.

LOVE the coffee as it's always made with love which is hard not get these days in London. I would come even more if they had vegan options on the menu. The only thing you can get is sides of avo and toast which is rather disappointing and not very creative. No vegan cakes either. Would love to see a few plant based options. It's 2023 after all :)

This is a fabulous cafe - the best in Earlsfield/Tooting. The coffee is excellent, as are the baristas. The food is all high quality and not gimmicky. The customer service is consistently good - staff all clearly focussing on their customers and recognising regulars with greetings and welcoming approach. My only criticism would be that they don’t open until 9.00 am. But apart from that - it’s great.

Exactly what they advertise - quality food. Everything I’ve ever ordered has been perfection. My most recent trip has been a takeaway, I had a Montreal style everything bagel, stuffed with crispy hot smoked pork neck pastrami, preserved cauliflower & celeriac piccalilli, set custard of Lincolnshire poacher & Cackleberry farm eggs. Absolutely delicious, full of flavour with exceptional quality ingredients. It was £14.50 which is a little pricey for a bagel but you are paying for the quality. The restaurant itself, nice laid back atmosphere, house music, great staff and service.

I've been to Juliets countless times and the food is great (expect small portions) but the staff are always, always rude - you're much better off heading to Milk in Balham where the staff are absolutely lovely and the food and dishes are very similar. Also note, that they do not open at 8am as stated on their front door and they won't apologise when you show up at 8:30am and have to wait around until 9am.

Great contemporary cafe perfect for a quick brunch. It took a while to get anyone’s attention to ask for menus but once we had them the service was friendly and efficient. I had the sweetcorn fritters with halloumi, avocado and a poached egg and my friend had smoked salmon and poached eggs on fancy bread (can’t remember the name!). All well-seasoned, nicely cooked and well presented. The coffee was great, too!

In response to two comments written yesterday, 25th January. My partner and I were part of a group of 6 that joined the queue to wait for a table. We were quoted 30 minutes for a table of 6. After 15 minutes we were offered a table for the two of us and were told once the table of 6 would be available we would be moved. Once the table of 6 was available, we watched as a group of 3 people ignored the waiting list and sat down at the 6 seater table. 2 waitresses came over to explain to them that they were not next in the queue and the group of 3 started arguing and swearing, demanding to remain at the table. They caused an unnecessary scene and upset the staff. They did eventually leave, claiming they would leave bad reviews. I was really impressed with how the staff responded considering the behaviour from the group.

I have used this cafe for many years and since the proprietor Ali left it seems to have lost it’s way as on a number of occasions they are advertising dishes on their menu which they no longer prepare or have the ingredients for, therefor they need to update the menu to reflect what is currently available. I have also noticed that the sauce bottles they use have broken lids and could potentially be unhygienic.. A tweak here and there would benefit.

Here just for drinks while we waited to check in to Premier Inn just round the corner. Service was okay and coffee okay. Seems to be a café /coffee shop to bring your gadgets and look at your screen. Depends upon your point of view whether that is good, bad or indifferent.

We've been here before, maybe a year ago and the experience was good, however on this occasion it was poor. We selected what we wanted from the website menu however when we arrived it was apparent that the website menu was out of date; some of our selections were not on the table menu. Two of our party selected Sausages and mash but there were no sausages so had to select something else. Three of us ordered fish & chips but bizarrely there was no vinegar available. It's the first establishment I've ever been to where you couldn't get vinegar with fish and chips. One of our party ordered a burger which was supposed to have two patties but was more like one and a half. He went to complain about it but nobody came back to us. When paying at the bar I mentioned the burger issue and the guy I was talking to went off to check with the server and he knocked this meal off the bill. I also pointed out that they had missed £60 worth of wine off the bill. He added it on to the bill but I didn't get any thanks for this. Wish I hadn't bothered now. I feel that the main issue however was the demeanour of the staff. Instead of "I'm awfully sorry we've ran out of vinegar" and maybe an explanation of why, it was "we haven't got any vinegar". It wasn't " I'm really sorry, we've had a run on the sausages and there aren't any left" or something like that, it was "we haven't got any sausages", It wasn't "we're really sorry the burger meal wasn't up to our usual standard" or something like that, it was "I've knocked it off the bill". It wasn't "oh, that's really good of you to let us know we'd missed the wine off the bill" or something like that. It was, well nothing really, it just got added to the bill. It was if having customers there was an inconvenience to the staff. There was minimal eye contact, no smiles and avoiding contact with customers as much as possible appeared evident. Wish we had gone somewhere else. We certainly won't be going again. I'm writing this in response to an email from the Nine Elms Tavern saying that my option matters. It will be interesting to see what, if any, response I get to this.

Have been visiting bi-annually for last 3 or 4 years. October 2024 visit very disappointing. Menu has been shortened and made very generic. Decor is tired. Staff are still pleasant but the buzzy ambience and perception of leading the trends are gone.
