Whilst waiting for my MOT to be completed I visited Jubilee Community Centre Cafe. The welcome was warm and genuine, and I was made to feel very at home. The choice of cake was good and the price was very reasonable. I would definitely return and bring friends with me! In the background parents were dropping children at the nursery, ladies were chatting about their Pilates class but it felt a very calm and friendly space. I feel embarrassed that I didn't realise this existed in East Grinstead; what a GREAT Community Centre.

Lovely little cafe. Good pricing and friendly staff. Enjoyed a Marmite cheese straw and hot chocolate. Nice selection of cakes and hot lunches.

This is definitely my favourite lunch venue in East Grinstead. The cafe is situated inside the Jubilee Community centre. There's a large free carpark. There's step free access to the building and accessible toilets. The cafe is small and cosy, which gives it an intimate feeling. I'm not a coffee drinker, but they do have a large drinks menu, both hot and cold. On the menu there are the staple sandwiches, toasties, paninis & cakes. Then there are the "Daily Specials" which is what I always choose from. When I visited yesterday, there was Butternut squash soup, Steak or Cheese and onion pasties & Goat curry. Winnies homemade goat curry is amazing & people travel from long distances to come & eat it. Winnie and her team are very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be returning next time I'm in the area.

It has been a while since I visited the Fig Tree last. We went with friends celebrating a birthday. I can honestly say it was probably the best meal that I have ever eaten. The Lobster starter was perfect and the venison divine. Coupled with superb service I cannot understand how this restaurant doesn't have a Michelin Star. I won't wait so long before returning.
