Brilliant breakfast! Great mushrooms, perfect eggs and great staff. Definitely will go again. Great for a stop following the trails passing by.

We are cycling the Trans-Pennine Trail and got to this tea shop just 5 minutes before it closed. We are so grateful to the owners for letting us come in and making us lunch - I don’t think we passed another place to eat on the rest of our route today, so they really did us a massive favour by staying open. Great sandwiches too!

J’s Royal Tea Rooms is very accommodating and it’s a warm friendly atmosphere. The products are fresh and locally sourced. Lovely little tea room.

Lovely afternoon tea, gorgeous homemade quiche, cake and scones. Friendly welcoming atmosphere, nothing too much trouble. Spotlessly clean and beautifully presented. Well worth a visit, would definitely recommend.

I have visited this place now several times and on each occasion the staff have been very welcoming. The food is lovely and fresh. The cakes are home baked and delicious ( especially the raspberry chocolate cake) It is a lovely clean welcoming place well worth a visit.

Found this great cafe whilst riding the Transpennine Trail. Very friendly relaxed cafe with superb home made banana cake. And free bananas for cyclists!! What’s not to like - great place to stop off and right on the trail.

Absolutely gorgeous and lovely place. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, judging by the event thats pccured they are also extremely good at problem solving and seem to put lots of effort into keeping this place running. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is lovely and cosy. I would definitely recommend this place and we will definitely be coming again ! The hot chocolates are also amazing <3

What an absolutely delightful tea room the breakfast is fantastic with locally sourced fresh produce, free range eggs, the Sausage is simply amazing and a lovely couple to suit. Great for afternoon teas, fresh baked cakes and beautiful decor.
