Joy Indian Takeaway in Aberdeenshire

Whilst on business,Went into get a curry, noticed place had changed and looked rather dingy and was told he was changing to a restaurant. Anyways had a bad time with my hotel so my mood wasn't the best. Waited 20 mins for my bhuna and I had asked for a receipt so I could claim it back. I picked up my curry and went back to hotel only to realise there was no receipt. After eating 1 fork full of I can only describe as the strangest chicken bhuna I have ever tasted, I went back to get my receipt. I was then met with a screwed up face that he didn't do receipts. A few verbals were exchanged and I left fuming with having received a crap meal, no receipt and £15 out of pocket. HMRC I hope your watching....disgusting place

Sadly no Joy for us we had a terrible meal from here with it being best described as bland and tasteless.

They have a set meal deal on a Wednesday and Thursday which is £7.99 per person. They offer onion bhaji, poppadums with chutney and spicy onions, Bombay potatoes, pilau rice and naan bread plus your choice of chicken or veg main dish. We had vegetable dhansak and vegetable bhuna. This was a huge saving on the listed prices. Portions were generous so we had one onion bhaji, pilau rice, naan and Bombay potatoes left for the next day. The lady taking our order was friendly and smiley. Food was well-cooked. We will definitley go back.

Having read reviews on TA was looking forward to a great takeaway but sadly have to report this was a massive disappointment. Ordered on the phone and picked up as arranged - service just fine. Food well presented and as ordered however, have to say it was tasteless and totally devoid of flavour or any 'heat' in what was supposed to be two chilli and hot dishes. Chicken Anchar and Monkfish and Prawns were our dishes - utterly tasteless. Meat very tender - not a 'bad' meal but just no taste or flavour whatsoever - could do a lot better ! Its not that meal was bad it was just a non-event Never happy putting bad reviews on TA so perhaps we just caught the place on a bad night. PLEASE get the online menu sorted - when you click on menus, it changes every 15 seconds so you cannot read it long enough to make a decision what you want - very iritating if you are calling it in and trying to read at the same time

Visited this takeaway twice now from nearby Insch and both times it was worth the drive! you have to wait a while (20mins ish) as the food is cooked fresh to order. Well packaged so was still piping hot by the time we drove home. Excellent menu choices for vegetarians - particularly recommend the burnt spinach Balti and the mushroom pakora starter will definitely be back :)

think we have found our new local takeaway... we got the set meal and there was lots... great price works out about £10 cheaper than our usual indian takeaway... food was just fantastic... thank you very much

Pedimos el 18. 95 Comida para dos anoche, guau, te dan una gran relación calidad-precio. . . . 2 entrantes, 2 platos principales, salsas, 2 poppadoms, pilau arroz, pan Naan y patatas bombay, todos estaban deliciosos. . Sin duda lo recomiendo y volveremos muchas veces más. . Buen trabajo chicos.

Tried this place a few months ago. Do not waste your money Please. Disgrace to call itself an Indian takeaway. Very disappointing.
