The fish and chips were cooked to perfection and the staff very courteous and attentive some thing we should all be.

Visited late yesterday (around 7pm) for a meal. We found that the Sunday Roast choices were still available which suited us down to the ground. There were other options as well. We decided to have just one course, I had the stuffed roast port loin, it was beautiful and there was lots of it. The potatoes and vegetable were also great and cooked to perfection. My husband opted for the roast beef and it also was fabulous. All in all it was a big surprise, we hadn't been to the Chimney for years as it had gained a bad reputation but we will definitely be back. I didn't get names but the young lady who served our food and the young man who brought our drinks were excellent and delivered great customer service with a smile.

I’m writing this review while still sat at the table waiting for my drink and dessert menu that I order and asked for 40 minutes ago, the food was really nice the only thing that is letting it down is the staff they are all currently stood about talking at the door, not really bothered about the customers that are in here at the moment

A family group of us visited the recently refurbished restaurant for Sunday lunch. There was a special Sunday menu with choice of starters and mains including 3 roasts. I had the delicious pork roast, very tender and full of flavour, for starter very enjoyable carrot and coriander soup. The vegetarian in our group enjoyed the tikka curry. The service was friendly and efficient. Overall a relaxed experience with excellent food, would recommend.

Had heard all the reports of the Chimney Corner getting a face lift and decided to try their restaurant for lunch! Bar was a bit "rowdy" (1.30 Sat 27Jul19) but the restaurant was lovely, nicely decorated and had a pleasant feeling! Friendly and polite staff, good service and a good lunch menu (albeit small selection - but all the usual fare)! We opted for bang bang chicken, served with chips and fish goujons & chips. Well they were really good, nice portion size and nicely presented! Excellent! 👍 And for £6.95 you wouldn't get a drive-thru meal!! Would highly recommend and will be back! Thank you 😊

Went here on a Sunday night for a quiet family meal. Food was actually good but was let down by the clientele and especially the staff response to unruly behaviour. A group from the travelling community were making a lot of noise and their kids were being a complete nuisance, even going into the kitchen and helping themselves to food. The same kitchen where the rest of the customers’ food was being prepared. The head waiter seemed unconcerned or was unwilling to confront. This place isn’t far from home and it would be a regular haunt if it weren’t for it being taken over by the travelling community. I will never return.

We would be regulars at Jospers usually for lunch although we have visited for dinner menu. Very comfortable surroundings and staff very pleasant and helpful. I am Gluten Free and found they are more than helpful, they discuss with chef alternatives from menu. I would highly recommend this restaurant food is excellent. I wish to mention Kirsti & Martina for their customer service, they made us feel very welcome and went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our meal at Jospers. Looking forward to Steak night.

Friday Steak Night excellent meal, service very professional Atmosphere warm and friendly. Server was so good at her job.

We went on a Sunday evening for dinner, good set menu with an option of 1, 2 or 3 courses, good choice and value for money, the restaurant is very modern and there was a good atmosphere with friendly efficient staff, we will be back soon

Fantastic night celebrating dad's birthday, couldn't fault the food or service. Massive thank you to William the restaurant manager who went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. We'll definitely be back.

Not a huge menu but the food was fantastic! I ate here all week and I couldn't fault a thing. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Prices were very reasonable too

Out here for a family meal. Staff very friendly and helpful and what we had was tasty but a very limited Menu. 5 out of 9 dishes were steak based. Rubbish if you are vegan or dairy free and only one vegetarian option. From memory the only chicken choice also had steak with it. Online menu was much bigger than actual restaurant choice. We enjoyed what we had but for several of us the choice was too limited to return. It’s a shame as this could be so much better and staff are excellent. Pity there isn’t more for vegetarian or dairy free folk.

Ww had a very good lunch in Jospers. The food was very good (although another minute on the chips would have helped them) as was the service. Our eldest thoroughly enjoyed the kids roast beef. We will be back.

Excellent meal here for a group of us, celebrating a friends birthday. Food was delicious, plentiful and good choice. Service was a little bit slow although the restaurant was busy. No complaints from any of the group, and well worth a visit. We will definitely dine here again

Nice food but no atmosphere no music. Service is a bit hit and miss. They seem to be working on this it is still a work in progress.

I treated myself to a two course meal here and it was just ok. The restaurant was pretty empty, smelt like a cafe and was cold-although the waitress did blast the heating. I ordered ribs to start. Good portion size with salad leaves!!! And purple...

Try the traditional fish and chips, lip smacking good and cooked the proper way and served with a selection of dressing apart from the usual salt and vinegar. yum yum
