It's a traditional greasy spoon, been loads of times

Amazing and inexpensive grub at Joseph’s Cafe! Definitely a place where you will eat and leave with a happy and full belly. Staff here were so lovely as well. Ate here on my birthday and they were very sweet and gave me well wishes. Food came very quick, was reasonably priced, paid under £10 each for all this food. Only trouble would be that it’s not halal, so wouldn’t go for a full english, however there is a load of vegetarian options on the menus! Would definitely eat here again!

I love Josephs cafe it's a family run business and they welcome you with open arms. Great staff,great variety of all foods, beautifully cooked at amazing prices.

I loved this cafe! So authentic and the service was absolutely amazing! The hostess was so smiley and positive it made my day! You have plenty of food options, including some turkish gems.. Affordable prices and a really good quality of the product as well! I loved to sit down and watching locals walk in and have chats..

Food here has really declined. The staff are rude. Customers were nice and the place was clean but the food was cheap/poor quality, over cooked and not very nice at all. Shame really, pre pandemic it was all good here.

I was so upset 😡 I have eaten at Joseph cafe before and all good, but this Time in my salad a tiny snail shell I almost threw up I was disgusting the lady told me the salad came in prepared pack and they don't wash as its already washed. I was so freaked out will never go there again

We’ve been going here for a fry up for years and years. A great little caff. Never disappoints, and half the price of Stokey’s more gentrified haunts. Use it or lose it, folks! Long live Joseph’s.

I have been using Joseph's for 10 yrs. They make the best rolls, sandwiches,wraps & baguettes I've ever tasted. Polite & helpful.

An anemic plate of breakfast food for the price. I can't comment on the remainder of the exhaustive menu but it's unlikely I'll be returning any time soon.

The food is all prepared on the premises and very good value. This is well worth a visit. We love it and try to go as often as we can.

Nice local cafe! Some people have called it a greasy spoon but it's not really, it's not a hipster cafè with sourdough & smashed avacardo. But the foods good & reasonably priced.Menu is what you would expect: breakfasts, omlettes, burgers, sandwiches etc. Got a few vege options, the falafel was really good.

It was a lovely breakfast, although I did laugh when I asked for a Full English and the lady behind the counter didn't know what it was. I'm proper British, I guess!

Came in here for the first time recently and was really impressed. It’s exactly what you’d expect from a London greasy spoon. I had a delicious cheese and mushroom omelette with chips and salad. The portion was huge and the food was freshly prepared and great quality. The staff were very friendly and gave the place a nice atmosphere. I will definitely visit again.

Food was decent for a working class cafe but £15.70 for medium English breakfast, and Turkish sausage omelette, chips and tea and coffee, far too expensive.

Bugs in baguette don't EAT FROM THERE. Called to tell them about the situation and told me to bring it back after i was back at work and they said if tou cant bring it back we cant do anything about it. they said things happen. if you prepared the food fresh like you say you do this wouldn't have be an issue,

Really lovely, old style cafe. Friendly staff and good food. I used to eat here a lot when I lived in the area and when I'm back around this area I always make for the cafe for lunch.

This is our favorite cafe in Stoke Newington. Very clean, friendly staff, very affordable and really nice food. Foods are always fresh and well cooked. Never had any complaints.

You wont get spoilt here. Popular with builders, truckies and the like and the quick sandwich lunch brigade. Sells fresh bread and serves a purpose.

I work local so come here to get lunch the filled rolls are always good and cakes very tempting . Never eaten in the cafe but always seems full with local tradesmen.

Absolutely love this cafe. Food is lovely and fresh. Staff are very friendly. Wouldn't eat at another cafe. If you haven't tried this cafe, then I would most definitely recommend that you eat here.
