Jorvine in York

Been here a few times and always a great visit. Nicely chosen selection of wines by the glass (but you can choose anything from the shelves and pay corkage) plus the option of a super cheeseboard (other sharing plates are available) with focaccia and various accompaniments. Relaxed atmosphere and lovely staff - really worth a visit!

Excellent atmosphere and great selection of wines and beers. Food was very good and the staff couldn’t be more attentive, knowledgeable about the wines and beers , and great hospitality, superb place to spend an evening!

I was recommended this place as a must go to And it was,super friendly staff especially the young man that served us ... top man Very knowledgeable on what cheeses and meats to have to complement our wine. Brilliant place within a wine shop. Great ambiance, great background music and fab seating areas. Check it out and you won't be disappointed.

Lovely space inside and out. Great selection of wine with good advice on pairing. Excellent cheeseboard. Friendly, helpful staff and a relaxed atmosphere.

I imagine its more for locals given the location, but if visitors are staying in the Pavilion, Plough or one of the local B&Bs then make sure to visit this wine bar and shop. Nice little outdoor area out the back for the nicer days.
