Disgusting. Firstly got home order wrong. Pastue soaking in grease stuck to the paper onion rings same. Kids meal chips hard in middle. Phoned shop said come back with order will give you refund. Not possible for me to go all way back. WILL NEVER BE BACK!

Absolutely useless can't get the order right again, I order the same thing most times and they get it wrong again, and I'm done from ordering from these half wits. Quicker to train a monkey.

Food is disgusting just went in for a collection. Requested thousand island dip with meal and salt and vinegar on both meals. We didn't get the thousand island sauce and none of the meals had salt and vinegar on them. The chips taste like old oil was used. We won't be back

Went this evening and ordered a curry chip. There was so little curry sauce on the chips that only a small section to the left of the carton actually had any sauce on them. Very stingy with sauce yet charged enough for it. Very disappointing!

Not sure why I keep giving this place a chance. By far the worst John Dory's around. I think I have had maybe 2 orders that were completely correct (out of both pickup and delivery orders.) The rest have had missing drinks, missing dips, salt&vinegar instructions ignored, sauces spilled all over the order on arrival if delivered, etc. Some staff also have poor customer service skills, make you feel like an inconvenience for even being there...Seriously feels like at least half the staff don't want to be there or just plain don't care

Quality takeaway, The fish was amazing. Very busy which is always a good sign.

Portion fish quite small, £2.90 for 2 sausage I thought expensive, plus fish and chips total £12.60, not great value, tasted ok.

Went into this place and was left standing at the counter for 10 mins, no one around, could smell cigarette smoke coming from the back (staff perfectly entitled to have a smoke break, no problem with that!) Then 4 appeared from the back of the kitchen! Were all of them out smoking at the same time leaving shop empty 🤷‍♂️?? The main reason I’m writing this review is due to the pure ignorance of the lad who tended to me at the till, a tall thin chap with tight black hair, not a word of apology for leaving a customer standing, attitude was dire when taking the order and just vey curt and dismissive, he seemed a very unhappy individual altogether, I felt as though I had really interrupted his day. I can’t fault the food but my god the young lad needs training in customer service.

Called in to the dundonald branch Frist had in a long we very unsatisfied chips were swimming in greese stuck togetter burger bap was soggy with grease wont be back no salt or vinger waste of money wouldnt recommend to any one defferntly wont be back expected better from john dory

We just went tonight for some chips and had the best service we’ve ever had here. The young man who was working was lovely, helpful and even ran our food out to our car. Couldn’t have been better

We call here often they have one in Newtownards but it is not as nice as the 1 at dundonald we have went to the ARDS shop 4times and each time they have forgot something the first thing was two drinks then it was fish bits for my grandson then it was a steakett and the last one was a fish and we ended up with a pastie bap and we never got a replacement when we went in the we guy said sorry about that ???

It’s astonishing how difficult it is to order a takeaway. No slots available for collection on a Saturday evening. Called the store to try and resolve but with no luck. Poor show John Dory’s.

Awful service and awful staff. This by far is the worst John dorys I've ever been in. Placed an order online for collection, got a txt saying it would take an hour. Thought this must be a mistake so went down after 20 mins. Greeted by some rude teenager whom told me my order would be another 40 mins. I asked what is the point of ordering online if it would have been quicker just to walk in and order. He then cheekily said we are very busy. There was no one in the shop and 1 car in the carpark, couldn't see it myself. Then the rude teenage girl behind the counter told me to wait outside in the rain for my order to be made again no one else in the shop. Another customer arrived while I'm standing outside placed an order and sat down inside. She didn't tell him to leave! Not sure who trains the staff here or who manages this store but it's awful and I will never use this one again and my experience has also gave me a negative view of all John dorys now because it appears like just they don't care.

Best chicken goujons on the planet prepared when the team should have been packing up for the day. Much appreciated.

Extremely disappointed in the service. If I could give zero stars I would. Our local chippy we have been going to for years but can honestly say I won’t be back. Phone answered by a man who clearly didn’t want to be there, couldnt wait to get me off the phone. I was also made to give card details over the phone to be able to place an order for collection, which was not completed via a secure line this made me feel very uneasy! One burnt crispy chicken goujon out of the four and a handful of chips. £7.75 ROBBED

Went to the Dundonald branch tonight and had a 25 minute wait for 3 sausages!! Another guy was waiting even longer for a portion of chips! Staff attitude was terrible food was cold and not even a single chip was presented with sausages overall terrible experience

No complaints had a fish and found it very tasty noted some good deals advertised so i will be back to further my experience ample parking/spar super store /garage close by /along with seversl other shops could spend a bit of time exploring

Ordered through just eat and collected. Got home and 2 battered sausages missing from order. Husband went back down and stood waiting almost 15 minutes on another two! Meanwhile back at home his and my sons dinner had gone cold, we didn't get to eat together and this is not the first time. Last time a chip was missing. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional. Food tasty but very pricey. Not happy

Just had a pastie, 2 sausages, cod bites meal and chips. Must say I don't leave reviews often but due to how much my family and I enjoyed our meal I had to this time. Bought the food in the dundonald store and travelled back home to comber with it, when we arrived home the food was still perfect hot and tasty, well packaged in boxes. The shop was immaculate when I was in and the staff were friendly and efficient. Thanks.

If your looking to pay big money for small portions then this is the place for you. £3.95 for a curry chip which had about half a scoop of chips and a table spoon of curry sauce. Dry as a bone

Is it just me or is £8.50 steep for a carryout fish supper and a cup of tea? That said, the fish seemed very fresh, was well cooked and looked appetising. However, for some reason it left a bad taste and was still repeating on me the next morning (12hrs later) ... I can only assume this establishment still frys in animal fat as that's the effect this disgusting frying medium has on my guts. If you're vegetarian or vegan ask what they cook with. I certainly will be next time ... if there is a next time.

Had the most delicious fish and chips from ballyhackamore branch last night. Friendly welcome and food prepared in adequate time. Honestly it's been a long time since I enjoyed as nice a fish supper This was my first visit to John Dorys. Definitely would recommend you try this place

I got a breaded fish and chips absoluley horrible fish was tastless dry and lots of black threw it chips no better couldnt eat it
