Atlantic Fish and Chips in Castlereagh

Extremely poor hygiene in full view . I Ordered a bacon cheese burger and I watched as the guy behind the counter who was brushing the floor with a floor brush that was black with dirt , lift the raw bacon out of the fridge without washing his hands. He then lifted the burger bun with the same hand that had used the dirty brush and lifted the raw bacon. He then lifted a handful of onions with the same hand that had used the brush, lifted the raw bacon and lifted the burger bun. Cancelled my order and asked for a refund.

Staff cheeky as hell. Never be back

Absolute disgrace. Ordered food for myself and 3 kids. The delivery driver then comes an hour later with the complete wrong order. After ringing them the delivery driver then turns up and collects the food that wasn't for us and explains he has to go back to the chippy to get our food. Our order arrives and the kebab I ordered with Salad hasn't any salad and my kids chicken nuggets are chicken strips cut into pieces. I then rang to complain asking for some sort of refund and they hung up the phone. Pathetic.

Worst fish supper I have ever experienced. Avoid at all costs

Nice place, but sadly the cod bites was bad and the scampi was hard, the smell was awfully fishy and the fish gave off a terrible scent that really made it inedible. They have promising food but just dunno why this fish fell short

Chips old and stale as we're the burger meats. Order incorrect I.e items wrong + missing. Not going back

Given the wrong order, after asking them to double check it was the right order. Had to walk back to get the correct order. Burger was missing bacon, the chicken nuggets were goujons cut up, and the chips were either over cooked or not cooked at all. Why offer chicken nuggets and goujons, if all you are serving are goujons? Nicer chippies about.

Use to love this place... But it seems since they expanded to the Ormeau road quailty has gone down hill massively. The food is not the same and delivery times have increased.

Don’t order from here. I waited 3hrs.

Delivered complete wrong order and refused to resolve issue

It's all about the food in a chippy and the chips were not good - hard, scraggy and just seemed reheated. There are better chippies out there. Service was fine and friendly however they need to look again at how they cook their chips.

Nicest chippy I've ever had , you're man was so sound, fond on his presentation and threw some curry on with. The chicken burger is a beast! Nicest food definitely

Great chippy, friendly staff and great food

Been a few times now, consistently good chips and chicken goujons with decent amount of salt and vinegar, unlike some chippys. Staff friendly. Only knocked one star off for atmosphere as I don’t think the extractor fan works great (it’s a takeaway, but my clothes always smell after a few minutes wait). Otherwise, it’s a good chippy and ok prices too.

Simple review... Great chippy,, great curry, great cod which is hard to find now a days and chicken burger also top notch. Service great and friendly... Its like a chippy you'd have in your estate 👌. Thank you Atlantic 😎

I came here to leave a 4 star review after tonight's order, because there were a few things wrong, only to find that a year ago I left a one star review, so what an improvement!! Tonight the food was half an hour late, the kids drinks were wrong and portion sizes on the small side, especially all the fish. However the food was tasty (last year I said it was mediocre & tasteless) and everyone ate every bit!! The chips were good. The fish, although small, was lovely, both the adult child and the kids fish bites. All the kids, including the 2 year old, were looking for more fish, though they had enough chips. I ended up sharing my small fish with them. Thankfully the curry sauce was nice enough so I enjoyed my curry chip instead of fish supper! I would order again, but would have to order extra fish bites to share out. On the other hand I won't be doing it in a hurry as it was over 30 quid for one adult and three kids. Nice enough as a treat.

I get from this chippy usually when I’m over at my friends house as they don’t deliver to my house. The food is always great, tastes fresh and comes really quickly. I usually get the chicken burger and chips and it’s always great! Would recommend.

Decided to go to this place after work for my tea & i have to say it was lovely. Got a cod & a side of onion rings. This place used to not be great for food but has changed big time, really nice.

It's a chippy. It does chippy food. It's reasonably priced and it's quick. Honestly the service/atmosphere scores are low only because the place is dead silent, no music or anything, and the staff are so focused that there's no real banter or buzz but I know that's a positive for other people. Would absolutely go back, potion sizes were great too.

Have to say I was surprised by the extreme reviews of this place. I went today on my way home. Fish supper was great. A lot of chippy chips are under cooked around these parts so it was nice to get proper crispy ones! Can't fault it really. Curry sauce was excellent. And they do a bacon and egg burger (called a farmhouse) which is a must for me. A chippy that doesn't do a bacon and egg burger is no good to me.

Good chips and all usual meals (fish, battered sausage, chicken goujon etc) all of which are good. But for sauces I would stick to gravy; the BBQ sauce has a weird flavour with vinegar tones and the chilli sauce is very runny and just tastes of garlic.

Haven't been here in a while. Was very impressed the first time.. Was a bit of let down

just had gravy chip from this place and DISGUSTING...chips were not fresh, tasted like cardboard and some were black...no taste of the gravy...definitely NOT going back....Need to look after their cooking more....plus my husband ordered chicken kebab on chip with salad, No salad and chips disgusting and blanched and black and sauce was stuck together...bin got most of it...rotten..

Food never arrived. Accepted the order, took the payment and deliveroo said the order was being prepared. Over an hour later still no food, and they refuse to answer the phone to give and explanation as to why it never arrived. Never order from here

Ordered Nuggets that were £4.00, received pieces of a cut up Goujon that barely made a one full single Goujon. Curry is salty. Scampi was absolutely bare. And was not worth £4.70. Very very disappointing. Im always down for giving businesses a chance. So i hope this feedback might help.

Popped in for a quick lunch and went for chicken kebab on chips and it was delicious and quite generous with the portion size, struggled to finish.

Decent food and Decent portions

Always get a gorgeous meal. The portions are amazing and the chips are the best. I look forward to my treat night to order from them.

Reasonable good at reasonable prices

Can't complain about the fish as it was very meaty, but I was disappointed with the taste of the food because of the oil used to cook it, I haven't had that taste before and I didn't eat too much of it , also leaves a strange taste in your mouth after eating it.

Hit and miss when it's good it's real good, but inconsistencies are a big problem

I spent 34.50£ in this chip shop tonite and the food was terrible practically all the chips were hard scraggy ends and the chicken bites were as hard as rocks the fish was way over cooked and dry the only o e de ent thing was the chicken burger this meal was a total waste of hard earned money very disappointed

the chips were done in oil that wasn't changed. its a pity the fish was beautiful.

Phoned order of Chicken burger with chips and quarter pound burger with chips told to come to shop in 15 minutes. On arrival at shop I waited my turn to go in , my order was ready but was sitting on top of the fridge. I asked how long it was there, they said 5 minutes. When I got home less than 5 minutes later the food was barely warm. Only half the portion of chips were edible, the rest of the chips were scrag ends of potatoes. We wont be buying again from here anytime soon. Wouldn't recommend either.

Ordered last 28/3/20 at 20-30 said it would be here at 22-10 got fed up waiting went out to look for driver at 22-50, food was left on doorstep didn't even knock the door as dog was sitting inside back door and would have barked if he had, had my phone number didn't even text to say it was there ,food was stone cold don't know how long it was sitting there had to throw it out avoid like the plague.

We starting eat here pretty regularly (2x a month) never had any problems with service or quality of food. Recommend you try yourself.

Order placed 19.15 to arrive 8pm, delayed to 20.30 and again 20.55. driver arrived at 20.55 apologizing for coldness of food and that the reason I couldn't get the shop to answer their phones (17 calls) was because they closed early. Why they'd think it would be smart to send out cold and late food is beyond me. I live 1.2miles away.

DO NOT EAT HERE! Not only was the cod like it had been cut in half but I have an actual chip in my tooth because there was a bloody rock embedded in my chip... yes an actual pebble which has taken a chip out of my tooth I can not believe it! This place needs shut down and reported! Disgusted! Avoid!!!!!!!

Awful chips must of been lying and redone they were discusting would of went back but i got these when i was at work wont hurry back

Obsluga bardzo niemiła. Jedzenie bez rewelacji nie polecam frytki nie swieze. Ogulem knajpa kiepska. Omijac z daleka . Burgera sam bym lepiej zrobil

The only reason I'm giving 1star is because I can't give it zero. The fish supper I bought, chips were hard and the fish must have been cooked and reheated, it was dry and inedible. As for customer service abysmal.

Food was served quickly and was fresh and reasonably priced. Staff were nice too.

Been a regular local for over 6 years . Only once in 6 years have I been slightly dissatisfied at an under cooked batter for my liking . I usually call in my order over the phone and it's ready and perfectly cooked when I arrive . Staff are polite and friendly even under duress . I have noticed overall improvementsin service over the years too .

Just food from hear large cod supper chicken breast two coke fish seen bigger fish fingers it was cold the driver what knob and it cost nearly 16 pounds never again and it had taken a hour and a half delivery

Walk in order got home missing half a dinner, woman serving just looked like she didn't want to be there and what we did get was disgusting couldn't find one normal chip all burnt tiny crumbs of chips. Bad food bad service

Been here a few times, terrible service. Was told that it would be 10 minutes before my order could be taken, at least half an hour before it would be ready and they have no food left. They just couldn't be bothered ( two customers in shop when I arrived. No one in shop when I left the Chinese, where I went instead!) Three staff were there and didn't seem to be doing anything. Won't be back.

Have used this chippie for a few years food was great at the start but has steady got worse. Last night's food was the last I will be buying .not fit to eat food hard and dried out went in the bin .

I was giving it a wide berth after the last time i was in the young lad serving got my order wrong and was quite cheeky, i call in again today i stood 5minutes and still wasnt asked for my order same lad serving. There was three other custers in. Wont be back.

Horrendous wait time on food. People should be told that their orders will be late because a 1 hour 45 minute wait for food is ridiculous. Coming home from work on a Friday you just want your dinner and to be waiting still when you are told your order is on the way is not on..... will not be ordering again.

Certainly not the best in the area. Service sub-standard and staff more interested in phone orders for delivery than customer's making the effort walking in to order. 40 minutes to be served, even though I was 1 of 3 people in the shop. Hungry hound/the real McCoy are light years ahead.

Very good. Phone orderd for 10 mins and was ready for collection. Chips lovely, fish and sausages well cooked. They even through in mushy peas! Thanks. Good chippy! 👍

Absolutely shocking - no excuse for serving such dreadful food to the general public. Will be giving this place a really wide berth.

Wasn't hugely impressed with this chippie, offering average prices with mediocre quality for the food I had. If you can, try the other options in the area.

Rang to order, unable to make a hawaian chicken burger ( they do normal beef Hawaiian burgers, I don't see how they couldn't swap beef for chicken ) ordered two chicken burger meals. Was told it might be 15/20 minutes as the shop was busy. Arrived after 10, shop was empty. The girl said I'll put your food on now. Got home and one chicken burger was very pink whilst the other was just raw in the middle. Chips were stuck together. Awful

Drove five minutes home and opened chips only to find them lukewarm and not freshly cooked as I had expected. No queue either! Wont be back sorry !
