Great food, would highly recommend!

Pershore is well endowed with eateries, but I fancied something different from pub grub so chose to eat dinner here. The restaurant has a slightly posh ambiance, and the staff, though attentive to every customer whim, are even a little overbearing. For example I am quite able to place a napkin on my own lap without having it ostentatiously planted there by a waiter! The service was prompt and the food was mostly excellent. Onion pakora and papadam came with four very different but equally delicious chutneys, plus a daintily presented side salad, decorative dribbles of brightly coloured sauces and a scatter of pomegranate seeds. My main ‘fusion’ course of oven-baked, coriander-marinated salmon didn’t quite work: it was very tasty but a shade too dry, and its accompanying vegetables – lightly spiced okra and potatoes – were also delicious but did not compensate for the overall lack of moisture. The restaurant is slightly more expensive than a run-of-the mill Indian, but this reflects the originality of the recipes and the detailed attention to presentation. On balance I’d certainly recommend it, but maybe it could just be a bit less ‘fussy’.

Best Indian restaurant and lucky to have them on our doorstep. When friends come over they are keen to go to Jimmy’s to see why we like it so much. They then insist the next time they visit to have a Jimmy’s. You’re missing out if you haven’t been.

We booked in advance and went for a family meal in the week. The restaurant is fairly narrow and long. It was comfortable but there wasn't much personal space and we felt rather hemmed in especially as 2 of us have mobility issues. The staff were pleasant and efficient, and the food was nice. We had a creamy curry with rice and cheese naan, the curry was very nice but the naan could have done with more cheese in it but it was all very nice. We were the last to leave and didn't feel under pressure to go, which was good. We enjoyed the night and will go again.

Have been going to Jimmy's for years on and off. Both in house and takeaway. Mostly ok but disappointing at times. Last night's takeaway was the last time for us. We ordered chicken biryani 2 pershawi naans tandoori chicken on the bone main course portion and one boiled rice. The biryani was completely tasteless with no spices to flavour it. The vegetable curry that always comes with a biryani was missing and in its place, some sort of pale green slop. No flavour and inedible. The tandoori chicken was so dry it was hard to swallow hence hardly eaten. £35 for rubbish. Goodbye Jimmy Pickles.

The service was poor. I felt rushed and they were more focussed about churning the tables and rushing the experience which was a disaster... training is needed here and more attention to customer servic. They need to leave you to enjoy your food in peace. Poppadoms at 2.00 each is a rip off. Try charging a pound each.....

This is a great spot if you want more than just a curry - it's fine food, great service, warm and inviting setting and great alround to feel 'special'.

Wow. Mind blown. How can you get that much flavour into food? I have been here twice now and will be going back without a doubt when I'm next near Pershore. Staff are funny but professional and can't do enough to help you. Every mouthful is heaven and I can't recommend this indians enough. Unlike anything I have ever tasted. What an experience!

If I could have given 0 I would have. We booked a table for six well in advance of our visit. As we arrived we were shown to a table in the entrance with constant passing traffic squeezing past the table. We waited patiently and asked the manager for a different table as this was unacceptable considering we had hoped for a relaxing meal with our friends. The Manager was really unfriendly and raised his voice drawing attention to us , as if it was our fault that the given table was in the door way. Anyway after no empathy was shown we left and had an amazing take away from The Cardamom just down the road. While we waited for our food we went for a lovely drink in the Miller pub. Pershore is a great place but Jimmy Pickles is not.

Visited this restaurant on a busy Saturday night when we were in the area for the weekend. We didn’t have a reservation but the staff found room for us and overall we had great service. The menu was a bit different although we opted for relatively standard choices. The food was very good. Total cost for 4 with just mains and soft drinks was c £110 which seemed a little pricey

Having driven from Essex for a stay nearby I went here to get a takeaway for the family. The owner and staff were very welcoming and lovely company whilst waiting for our food. The meal was outstanding. Probably the nicest Indian takeaway we’ve ever had. And the establishment was spotless as well. All in all highly recommend

Disgusting lamb biryani’s,tasted more like korma sauce rather than dry consistency that true biryanis should be,don’t know where you source your meat from but definitely not lamb in my opinion Needless to say will definitely not be returning.

First time here, for a works do. Food was really good! I had coriander salmon. Nicely spicy and served with salad and aloo bhaji potatoes.

This place is slightly different from the usual with a very imaginative menu and a modern feel about it. The staff were attentive and the food was excellent in quality and quantity. I am a connoisseur of the chicken Shashlik and the one I had here was the best ever!

Just fancied a curry and haven’t been to Jimmy pickles since December. Prices gone up (chicken tikka masala £13 now) but then everything has! Prompt service which was great. Freshly cooked and delicious.

Called to order a takeaway. The person who answered the phone sounded bored, unfriendly, unwelcoming and like he was doing me a massive favour by even speaking to me.

The staff are lovely, warm, and accommodating. They have a wide range of drinks available and some very interesting fusion dishes. When we went in and ate, the food was hot, fresh, and delicious. The flavours were amazing and my partner and I enjoyed everything we ordered. It came to £60 for us when we ordered a drink each, shared a starter, had a curry each, plus popadoms and 1 naan to share, which was quite pricey, but we were happy to pay it for the quality and service we received. 2 weeks later, we decided to order a takeaway from here; it was slightly cheaper than going in to eat, which surprised us, but it also makes sense given that they provide you with mints after your meal and moist towels for wiping down. We ordered via telephone and our order was ready to collect in 20 minutes, which is a good service time for an Indian. Unfortunately, the meals we received weren't as flavourful as what we had when we'd sat in (we ordered the exact same thing) and lacked any diversity in spices or anything else, which was a real shame. It feels like they take more care of their in-house customers than those that order takeout, which is unfortunate. We haven't been since but might go again in the future to see if it has changed.

went here on a saturday night for a good curry which is exactly what we got there is a good range of lagers the menu has some unusual additions to a standard indian menu the service was efficient and friendly the food was good, and it wasnt expensive recommended

Went with a friend on a Thursday evening. We had 2 curries, 2 rice and a nann to share. Starters we had 6 poppadoms and the pickles. 2 small codes and a small cobra. £52 Service was ok No Xmas atmosphere at all but I guess it is a curry house

We were visiting the area and ordered JP delivery due to more positive reviews than others. We noticed the menu was slightly different to typical Indians which was interesting so our order included the Tikka Masalla and Jaipuri. Delivery was surprisingly quick at 35 mins from ordering. If I'm honest the food was more pricier but less flavoursome as our usual takeaway.

Starters were superb. One of our group of four thought the Biryani main course was tasteless, which it was. Waiter said she should have specified the strength when ordering. Why didn’t they ask when taking the order? Staff were very attentive but the maitre d has a sense of humour that upset one of our party. They were very busy so must be ok overall. Prices seem about right although they know how to charge for wine. We will go back again just to see if this visit was just a one-off.

We were taken to our table and asked for our drinks order. Asked for a recommendation for one of the beers, waiter replied 'don't know never tried it' . Ordered starters which were good. 2 of us Ordered beef dishes, the beef was quite tough which was disappointing. Starter dishes hadnt been taken away when they tried to put main course dishes on table, all seemed a bit fraught tonight.Have been here on several occasions, tonight we were taking friends who hadn't been before and we had told them how great the place was. Not tonight....better places around now. It used to be classy with great service but something has changed. Won't be rushing back

Ordered a delivery on the recommendation of neighbours. Ordered at 16:43 with directions given in the comments box, appreciate didn’t open until 17:30. Waited until 19:00 before phoning as no food arrived. Apparently the driver knocked our door and called a mobile number!!!! I’m afraid that neither of these happened, no missed calls and sitting in the lounge waiting with curtains open waiting. No apology or attempt to rectify situation and insistent that the driver had done what he’d said. Appalling.

Very attentive and helpful staff, our food was delicious and lots of it, only down side was the cost. Nearly £50 seemed a lot for two mains and a starter even with a soft drink and small lager while we waited. We will use again though.

It's the first time we've visited. The food was superb and all well presented. The best Indian meal we've had in the area. The staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. It's a great place with a good atmosphere and would certainly recommend it and will revisit soon.

Had a takeaway for 5 people on Fathers day. I had a chicken biryani and a supposed vegetable sauce. What came was a very liquid slop , a pale green but no vegetables. Just like dish water. Disgusting. A chicken tika masala was also rather tasteless. Won't be going back

My wife and I absolutely love Jimmy Pickles. Not only is there food fabulous (easily the best Indian in the area), but they are also absolute gentlemen - particularly the delivery driver who is very professional and friendly. They also go the extra mile - my wife ordered a small coke, which they didn't have, so they gave her a 1.5l instead! If you want to eat at one of the top restaurants in the area - I'd highly recommend Jimmy Pickles!

Greeted with warm welcome, the service was timely with a calm ambience & smart surroundings.The food was beautifully presented & individually served (no trolley). Visited this curry house twice this week and nothing disappoints, very good choice of menu, very good service from friendly attentive staff. Above all the food was so good, beautifully cooked and so tasty and well presented. Will be a regular for me either eating in or takeaway Love it

The food was excellent. Freshly cooked and piping hot and very tasty. We had the chicken 64 and a red Thai chicken beast stuffed with lamb mini. Prices are a bit expensive but quality if the food made it worthwhile. Drinks are quite expensive however and no facility to bring your own. In all two main courses, a nan 3 poppadoms and 4 alcoholic drinks came to £63Now the bad points. When you book as where you will be sitting as we were on the lower level and the door had to remain open to ensure a flow of air due to Covid restrictions. I sat for nearly two hours with a cold easterly wind on my back. Another table of 5 who were on the table next to us refused to stay as it was too cold for the elderly couple. I asked to.movr but was told no other tables were available. If you are the owners you end to explain to people when they book about the door as it is good customer service. The other fault with it us the amount of take away customers they get. A couple of times the queue was long enough for people to be standing next to our tables with no face masks on. . Some were asked to stay outside but many waited inside which is unacceptable when you are trying to eat. If you sort out these two issues it would be 5 stars as the food was superb.
