love this place its my go to for comfort food. always get extra gravy

I order from this place nearly every weekend so when my order turns up and half of it is missing what do you do? Contacted the restaurant and was told the driver has stole it but still where is my money? I ordered something did not receive it so what do I do? Contact Just Eat? Oh I don’t really think we really care same as the restaurant don’t think they really care too but everybody got paid except me still waiting on a chicken curry from this place will not be ordering again and will tell all my friends

I have specifically asked to deliver the food not later than 1 pm as we have a short break at our workplace, but I received my order at 2:02 pm, and I don't have time to have it now.

THE food was outstandingly good has it always is however because it was delivered on a moped rather than a car alot of the delicious gravy was lost and was actually all in the carrying bag my food was in also again I believe due to been delivered on the moped the food wasn't very hot as it normally is from ur good self's.now please don't treat this as a complaint because its absolutely definitely not a complaint at all .I'm just sharing with u what happened so u can improve for next time .

My brother picked up my order a couple of days ago and I was disappointed with the quality of the food. As a Caribbean myself, I had high expectations and know how the food should look and taste. I ordered curried chicken with rice and peas with mac and cheese. The curry tasted nice but it was quite dry and the chicken was not great. The rice was okay but the mac and cheese was also dry and not cheesy or tasty. Oh and I had jerk chicken with it as well which was not great either. Wasn't juicy and tender how it should be and not enough flavour. Skin was just falling off with every bite. Sorry to say but I won't be eating here again, I would rather have my mums home cooked caribbean food.

Food was delivered with oils dripping from the bags to find out all the curry and all the gravy had been turned over into the plastic bag which caused everything to be absolutely covered in curry and an unbelievable amount of oil by the time I was actually able get the food out of the containers it had been at least 15 minutes to even get the great mess out of the bag ruined appetite and yellow stained counter tops and as all the curry had been poured into the bag the chicken was just a dry mess

First time ordering food was amazing and I would definatly order again... I have only one complaint not enough gravy was provided with the stew which made the meal quite dry. I didn't order extra as I thought enough would have been provided with the meal without paying extra for this.

Coleslaw was bang on!! Chicken was nice but a bit dry and chips were soggy but tasted alright! Rice was bang on too!

If you want food poisoning...go here...never again...chicken not cooked and advertised as being cooked all day...absolute rubbish. Every piece was pink 🤢

Was stood in queue at Huddersfield carnival for about half an hour, got to front to find out they were only selling jerk chicken & chips, no rice and peas, no steam cabbage, no salad, no fried dumpling. Literally jerk chicken, Mccain fries and Tropical Sun jerk bbq sauce and ketchup. Lazy !! Who turns up to cater for an event with nothing but chicken. I'd be ashamed of myself personally. Lol. And charging £10 for 1 drumstick and a tiny thigh with hardly no meat on. Dead!! Exploiting people at your own expense.

Wow wow most expensive meal , for some rice and chicken , tripled in price. However wouldn’t be going there again If the food was 10/10 then fair play ,But it isn’t .

Really sorry but the chicken thighs were pink. Gutted because we have eaten here many times before and it has always been spot on. Just not tonight.

I just can't rate this place enough. Been coming here for at least a couple of years now and I have never once been let down by the food, the customer service or the delivery time. I only wish I could eat this every day, best food in Huddersfield. If you haven't tried it at least once, shame on you! ;)

Curry goat was melt in your mouth would defo order again

Food ordered wasn’t upto the normal standard that it usually is the patties weren’t patties they were just pastry with no filling on one and hardly any in the other and for the price that isn’t how they should come..

One of my favourite places. Enough to last 2 days for me! Very hot when arrived, so so fresh and tasty, great customer service. I honestly love this place. If you're wondering, don't, just get ordering.

Jerk House is the most expensive in Huddersfield and in fact keeps going up in price I’ve noticed. Usually, I don’t mind the high price as the food was so authentic and flavoursome when first opening. But it is clear as day the food quality and ingredients have dropped and changed 1000%. Even my friend said “this ain’t tasting the same yano” and he said exactly what I was thinking. Not sure if it’s still the same ownership, original recipe or a new chef. But I’m telling you right now that it’s gone from a premium to bang average and the curried goat was just so so so dry. I have to be honest when I’m paying these prices sorry.

3 foil containers with the pulled chicken and two curried goats were not sealed properly, the gravy leaked out from one of the curry goat containers, soaking the brown bags of fries and the fried dumpling, the bag containing the portion of fries split distributing most of the fries into the bottom of the carrier bag (into the,watery, curry goat gravy). The delivery guy was not aware of the issue.

Rice was hard and very dry. Chicken dry, the whole meal was very salty it was stinging my mouth. Dumplings also dry. Shame as it was like this before but i thought I’d try once more
