So nice to see it fully booked on a Tuesday evening… such lovely food, great value and the service was brilliant. 🤩

Popped in twice this week… because once just wasn’t enough. First visit was for their special pizza, which was freshly made, perfect pesto drizzle, genuinely 10/10. Came back for brunch as they open at 9am now and had the veggie breakkie, the hash browns and mushrooms… actually out of this planet. Staff were super chill and really attentive both times. It was a little quiet when I was in, but you can tell it’s got the vibe to be a proper community spot. Definitely coming back for round three!

Booked a table for drinks prior to a meal booked elsewhere and deliberately booked happy hour. Unfortunately, Jenkins and Sons have changed their Happy hour to finish at 5pm and didn't think to inform us. Complete lack of understanding when we arrived why we would be disappointed and even said they had spoken to someone regarding our booking (which they couldn't have done as we were all present and noone had called them) Be careful when you book for a certain offer/night they have on as these clearly change without notice. A disappointing experience and we will not be returning despite the nice atmosphere in the bar.

Brilliant pizzas & cocktails and great atmosphere - would definitely recommend coming for the 2-4-1 pizzas !! The new owners are brilliant and have really changed the place for the better

Great food & lovely atmosphere- would definitely recommend.

Food was very tasty but rather small portions. The burgers are a great investment, excellent quality and toppings. Service was impeccable. A little cramped and a little hard to hear yourself think.

Painfully slow service, young inexperienced waiter needs more training and guidance ,We had a prebooked group of 12 and it was 55 minutes from order to food on the table.No apologies. For desserts we actually wrote down and gave them our orders as no staff actually bothered to ask us if we wanted dessert. We had to wait for that as well, as THEY said they had to serve another table their mains first?? The Sunday Roast was actually quite nice tasty , very tender beef, I'd recommend the duo of meats for only £2 more. Desserts presentations weren't great, a snapped biscoff on top luke warm brownie. The dough balls were hilarious , More like dough pellets, chewy, not recommended . There were a hell of alot of them though.There was supposed to be a dessert of the day, but we never found out what it was. As a group who support and regularly visit independent restaurants for Sunday lunch time, we think this place could be very good, just not yet.

I ordered roast beef. We had to wait around 50 mins for it to arrive. Beef, gravy and Yorkshire were good but the vegetables completely boiled to death!

The new owners have made some real positive changes and huge improvements to the food… the £10 pizzas are wonderful…

Just moved to the area so when we found Jenkins & Sons we were thrilled, as we wanted to find another local, friendly bar within a short walk. It is so good to have a friendly bar and restaurant nearby. The pizza is the best pizza I've had outside of Italy. The staff are really friendly and the drinks are very reasonably priced. Totally recommend. We'll be there again on Friday for a glass of wine and some pizza 😁

Great atmosphere, good selection of beers and wines

Not a bad place atall! The toilets are little smelly but other wise the only thing to look out for is pretentious inderviduals but that's no worry! The majority of the staff are grand! And very welcoming. But there is a grebo gir that has unfortunately been accumulated by the business! But as always we do come across these disruptive individuals I'm afraid 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Very good Sunday lunch, roast beef was excellently cooked (medium). Slightly let down by a poor Yorkshire pud and expensive drinks but I'd certainly book again and unless you want lunch before Midday, you need to book early.

We absolutely love the pizzas, especially when they’re on offer every Wednesday! My partner Ben always orders the same four cheese with add ons (chorizo, bacon, chorizo) and it is sensational! The chef must know us by now as he even put his name on the box recently even though it was me that ordered for him!!! 🤣 LOVE IT. Thank you for such a fabulous service every time

Can be a little noisy at times but I do enjoy this pub. Especially good on Thursday evenings when they have live music.

Attended a private party here. The atmosphere, food, and service were excellent. The staff couldn't do enough and were so helpful.

Just ordered a Deliveroo from this establishment. The chicken genuinely looks and smells off. Absolutely vile. Yet they claim 'locally sourced'. Will not be ordering from here again and I shall be reclaiming my money through Deliveroo. Also, if someone orders cheesy fries, at least put some bloody cheese on them!

Decent coffee and pizza though base was a bit thin and soggy. Unfortunately they couldn't do anything about the verbal diarrhoea my date seemed to have, but I suppose I can't blame them for that..

Came here for a family brunch and was so invested in my new grand-daughter I forgot to take pictures, which is a shame as we had a really lovely experience! Despite living in the area for over 30 years th8s is my first visit to Jenkins - it won't be my last!! Delicious food, lovely staff, nice atmosphere and good value ... we'll be back again soon!

Wir haben eine Woche um die Ecke Urlaub gemacht und sind dort 2x essen gewesen. Man war sehr freundlich, dass essen gut und wirklich sehr reichlich (!) vor allem die „Sonntagsbraten“ Gerichte, die es nur am Wochenende gibt (Achtung, dann sind von der „Normalen“ Karte nicht alle Gerichte zu haben), aber auch die Hamburger und die Desserts waren Klasse! Hinweis: wenn es sehr voll ist, ist es laut dort, wenn man sich beim Essen unterhalten möchte wird das schwierig… Und es war schon ungewöhnlich, dass man bei der Reservierung vorab 10 Pfund bezahlen musste, hätte mich beinahe abgeschreckt, wurden aber automatisch von der Rechnung abgezogen! Wir würden immer wieder hin gehen!

Loved it here, just walked in as well without booking, ordered the veggie breakfast which was perfectly cooked, the service was quick & the staff very friendly. All in all was a lovely sunday morning breakfast, will definitely be returning

Went here for dinner and it was ok. The service was pretty slow - we had to ask for someone to take our food order and again when we wanted another round of drinks. When the food came it was ok. We had pizzas and as you can see from the photos, the veg looked thrown on after and no time had been given for cheese to melt over it, so when you picked up a slice all the veg fell off the pizza.

Great service, lovely atmosphere with my lovely friends

Tonight we popped into Jenkins & Sons. SHOCKINGLY overpriced £18 for a squid sharing platter that consisted of not too many squid pieces to share on a bunch of salad leaves...We also ordered the mushrooms on toast for £8 and we got 2 TINY pieces of toast (like diagonally sliced batton pieces) with a topping...SHOCKINGLY expensive !!. Not to mention that we ordered one drink, consisting of a dash of Lime cordial with a mix of tap water, and that cost us £2.75....absolute DAYLIGHT ROBBERY. So after a dissapointingly costly meal, which cost £30. We went home to have dinner !!!...We won't be going back. We will keep going to the Grasshopper...now there's value for money...great Decor and wonderfully friendly pub.

Absolutely beautiful food and service! Was our first time visiting here last Sunday, and we had the nachos which were insanely good, followed by the most amazing roast dinner. Service was excellent, left in a food coma!

Although I've been to Jenkins and Sons before this was my first Sunday lunch - why have I waited so long? Loads of melt in the mouth beef, yorkshires, roast potatoes, peas, carrots, broccoli, parsnips, gravy and parsnip shavings. I didn't have space for a pudding. Amazing food and great value for money.

Amazing with allergies and dietary requirements! I have tonnes of allergies and the staff were brilliant at taking it seriously. V comprehensive allergen menu. Had Saturday lunch here. Lovely atmosphere and delicious food.

We just did our Christmas dinner with our Friends and it was brilliant. Ben is very reactive and made the whole booking easy. We were around 20 people including children and the staff was brilliant, so nice and helpful. We all had a great time and we will def come back next year for our christmas party again! Thank you Jenkins !

A mediocre end to an amazing day. Good graphic design on the menu and a friendly white dog are unfortunately where the positives end. The food is overpriced and tasted extremely bland. Textures were wrong on every dish that our table ordered. Some very lacklustre flavour combinations like curry with fish and chips.did not help. Food genuinely tasted microwaved. Try the Cliff restaurant 5 mins away by car. See photo to absorb dissapointment.

First visit today! And ate some lovely vegan burgers also the staff were really friendly. Only wish there was a vegan pudding.

This is a very good venue. Bar area to the right and restaurant to the left. The atmosphere is friendly and chatty. The cocktails are to die for and the food is delish! Professional inclusive staff who know their stuff. We saw the inimitable Carley Varley. Excellent covers and even better original songs. The welcoming crowd applauded her throughout the evening. Great night!

This is fast becoming a great locals bar with good food great service and hurrah Ales that are not the usual High alcohol American IPAs that seems to pervade many pubs because they are very easy to handle. Go for this for great pizza clever sharing dishes. Even allows dogs in the bar. Book ahead at weekends though

A polite 2 stars: It was clean and the staff acted friendly. I have visited a number of places, and I have enjoyed meals in over 58 countries. Occasionally, I am taking my family out on a Sunday, and we wish to thoroughly enjoy our time - whatever the cost. Coming to this restaurant: We got greeted by a young waiter, who asked us to leave within 2 hours, due to a 'high volume' of guests. Well, we would not have stayed longer with a 15-month-old child. At the table, we then selected our food only to find out that certain sections of the menu - about 1/3 of it - could not be ordered. We re-selected, and - to our surprise - 2 of 3 simple dishes could not be ordered again. It is at this point when we typically leave. However, my wife was in a good mood, and we shrugged it off. The food: This is probably going to sting, but in my dear friend Gordon's words: 'bland', 'raw' and 'unseasoned' - not even a grain of salt on it. My child's reaction to the chips was a deserved toss onto the floor. Asked for ketch-up to brighten the mood, and even that was not available. One would think this to be a standard in a place like that ... On the up-side: the meat was fresh, although I do not understand who would 'bake' chicken without skin, and serve it dry and - as mentioned above - unseasoned. Verdict: Avoid! It is not worth the premium that is charged here.

Excellent meal. Once in and seated, it really began to fill up so we were grateful for being squeezed in on the phone 15 mins before. Very good, authentic pizzas (2 for 1 Wednesday was a bonus) and friendly 'on it' table service without being in your face. Will definitely go again. Perfect!

Varied choice of starters and main course dishes, well laid out inside. Unfortunately out of the large range of beers about 50% were off, staff were friendly but service could have been a bit snappier.

Very nice place to enjoy the evening. The staff members are so nice, I remember maria serving us. The food itself is very very tasty. We have been there quite a lot of times and have tried lots of food. I like the pizza quite much and the chicken wings are great. They also have offers on many days so it becomes not very expensive.

Today we have discovered this amazing place! Great menu choice, nice and cosy with very friendly staff! Highly recommend and cannot waitto come back!

Disappointed to walk in on a Sunday at only 8:40pm to be told last orders had already been called, because the staff felt they were too quiet. Went over to the Grasshopper which appears to remain open as published.

Booked this restaurant after staying in the area last week. So good we went back for more. Great atmosphere, amazing food and staff very attentive. Food portions and quantity are excellent value. We dined as a large group of 9, young and old, and all courses came out together with no problems at all. For laid back quality dining I totally recommend a visit.

Super bar, nice food and atmosphere.

I had a great time here. Covid rules were still in place at the time of my visit, but me and 5 mates had food and drinks here and it was refreshing and satisfying. The staff were fun and friendly with swift attentive service. The food was quality and their authentic house made and baked pizzas were delicious. They also have alternative diets catered for on the menu if you are so inclined. They also had a range of alternative ales, ciders and cocktails to suit most fussy or adventurous drinkers. Price was a pleasantly affordable surprise at the end of an evening I would have happily paid more for.
