JD Wetherspoons in North Ayrshire

Went with friends for dinner service was excellent very friendly staff the friendliest staff I've cam across in a spoons food was served quick and hot will deffo be back

Visited on 26th December 2024 at around 4 pm. I used the app to order food & drinks. Drinks arrived within a few minutes, and our food was within 10 minutes. Food looked and tasted delicious. Friendly staff.

The weather was awful, really grim and we were passing through Saltcoats. The Salt Cot would have to do for a coffee to escape the wind and rain. Bad call. The pub was as tired as we were. The staff were doing their best in very trying circumstances but they were facing an uphill task. The furniture has seen better days, the carpet hadn't had a clean since, well, it looked like forever. If a pub has ever fallen through a net, then The Salt Cot is that pub. The Wetherspoons franchise really needs to invest a few quid in the pub to bring it up to standard. We quickly drank our coffees and headed back into the monsoon. It was the sensible option.

Nipped in for some dinner on a quiet mid week evening and the food was delicious and great value, the staff were friendly and helpful. My only criticism is maybe tidy the tables in between customers as a few sat messy. However I can not fault the food. It’s also always regularly busy.

Had breakfast here two mornings running whilst on holiday. I had a vegan breakfast, not that I'm vegan. It was very enjoyable and plenty. The other breakfast I had was the Scottish breakfast. All good, came out nice and hot. No long wait for service.

La visita de un lunes por la tarde. Parece que el personal podía ocasionalmente las rondas para clara por vacío, como gafas y parametrizada vasos tienen una tendencia a acumular innecesariamente. Típico de un Wetherspoons establishnent, comida y los precios del bar están bien. Queja principal (?!) Puede wetherspoons fry para estandarizar sus precios? Los precios de los costos X Y pinta en un pub de la misma pinta, pero tiene un precio distinto en otro lugar!!

Hi visited the salt cot by jd wetherspoons and it was as standard as most wetherspoon pubs reasonable food and drink at reasonable prices ....the burger and a pint deal is one of the best around from wetherspoons and we take full advantage of it in other wetherspoon pubs ,must admit love the one in Kilmarnock ,think it`s the best wetherspoons around ,but the salt cot was very good as well ...great staff ,....very fairly priced drinks ...jug of cocktail for around a fiver and a good selection of drinks .
