Lovely cafe inside and outside seating right next to the beach. Great views. Massive choice of amazing cakes. Wheelchair ramp. Toilets provided. Recommended.

Was amazed by the selection of cakes and that carrot cake was amazing!!

The photos on the page don’t do it justice, the food is awesome and the staff is very friendly! It is definitely worth the visit! It was busy but that didn’t stop the service and quality of the food being amazing. Very much recommended!

Lovely Cafe with equally tasty food! Has everything from light bites to eat to being at the perfect location for lovely weather right alongside the seaside! Staff were always polite, prompt and professional and the internal and external parts of the cafe were immaculate and well cleaned. Really recommend to anyone and bonus they are pet friendly (we sat outside), lovely food with amazing service. Will be going back as a regular customer whenever we go back to the beach for a holiday away from home. 🫶🏻

Went here today for breakfast, very disappointed , the chips were dry, eggs snotty & the sausages had no taste, £32 for two breakfasts & 2 drinks, over priced, also on leaving the cooks were stood outside at the side of the cafe smoking, that in its self is off putting, we will not be returning ,

Welcome stop after hour walk from potters resort , I found coffee a bit bitter good seating area inside and out, Needs to think about a better meal service as young girl came out many times just crying out for people who have ordered this or that, at one point walked twice up and down before finally someone claimed the two meals, just number tables, surely? Single toilet, unisex. Dog friendly outside,

Good spot on promenade, but slow service. Half an hour for bacon sandwich. Brown sauce requested on ordering, none when server eventually delivered sandwich. Sauce requested and server stated he would obtain. Nothing came. Had to go inside and DIY. Poor service for £6.00.

Visited for the first time as part of a chilled holiday around the area. Me and my partner was drawn in by the smell of fresh coffee and the mouth watering display of cakes and pastries. Sadly we was on lent otherwise I would of picked at least 4 of the cakes and tarts! We had the prawn Marie and crab sandwich coupled with cappuccino. It was all delicious! Generous portions of filling, fresh salad and overall very flavoursome. The coffee beans used was by far the best I've tasted between the daily cups I've had between Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft. We decided to have a take away to take back home of the sausage rolls. I have no doubt they be just as delicious. The staff was all friendly and patient with us being indecisive at the till. We could see they take pride at their roles. We left the café-bistro thinking if only we knew of this hidden gem on our week holiday as we've been disappointed at other cafés. We would visit again (already saved on my Google maps) and will tell our friends and family of your lovely food and drinks. Keep up the quality! Free limiting parking near by.

However, when I arrived, I was told the deal was no longer available, and there were no alternatives or replacements offered. The staff seemed unable to do anything to rectify the situation, which left me feeling very disappointed. It’s frustrating when promotions are misleading, and staff are not empowered to help customers. I also contacted the owner, and although they saw my message, I received no response, which only compounded my feelings of frustration. Winter officially ends in the UK on March 20th, and I was hoping for a warmer experience than this. I hope you can improve communication and customer service moving forward.

First visit here, but not my last. The food was superb. Dietary requirements for those with allergies catered for too. The coffee was good. Plenty of seating inside and out. If you have a sweet tooth, there's a huge range of cakes and pastries. I haven't, but the bacon was nice and crispy in my roll The customer service was great, friendly and considerate.

Teapot lid was loose and fell off when poured, burning my husband's hand. When we spoke to staff they didn't offer any help or first aid, just said that a lot of the teapots were old and had loose lids and we should have been holding it in place. That was it for their customer service. With everything costing so much these days, the least you should get in return for spending your hard earned cash is a bit of concern when you injure yourself. Have reported them to council as would hate this to happen to an elderly person with fragile skin. All in all, nice food in lovely location - but owner just interested in profit judging by our experience. Also staff could do with customer service training. Avoid and go somewhere not only cheaper, but with much nicer staff (such as Stormhouse Cafe just a bit further along the seafront 👍)

Fabulous food great service - recommended. Always take visitors to the area here and they always rave about it.

Fab place 1 mile from pier so idea stop off an sea front walk, yummy coffee, food being eaten all around us looks fabulous gear big baguettes overflowing with food, nb no dogs inside but there is seating outside

Fast service, possibly a little too fast, would have preferred it cooked longer. Nice view's. Not cheap but nice.

Absolutely amazing. Cannot recommend this cafe highly enough, superb. We picked the chicken and bacon club sandwich 🥪 off the specials menu and it was superb. £13 for a plate of food big enough for 2, and which we happily shared. We were even given an extra plate to make it easier which was very kind. Excellent staff, huge range of cake, lovely and warm inside and good clean toilet. Rate this place, 13/10 would recommend and can't wait to go back.

Super food, bit sad we couldn't sit in with the dog but luckily the weather was ok. Went twice in two days will definitely return when back in the area.

Visited this amazing cafe as was out walking the dog along the beach. What a wonderful place. It was very busy but the hot chocolate and the vegan sausage role was lovely (I'm not Vegan but it looked and was delicious) There was a large selection of cakes and the location was perfect. The staff member who served me was lovely, she was clearly very busy with a huge queue which she could see was building but she was so calm and provided a fantastic service. It's not the cheapest place to visit but in my opinion was well worth what we paid. Thank you for providing such a lovely place to visit.

Is this the best cafe I’ve been in?, yes,… yes it is, great for drinks great for food, great all round in fact highly recommended. And the location is gorgeous.

We always ate here but not any more as the food has gone down hill, we still pop in for a coffee and have noticed not many people eat now apart from snacks, we now move on to eat elsewhere, it's such a shame

We liked this cafe. We were there twice. Both times it was very tasty. My son really liked the panini with salad. The coffee is not bad. The apple pie is very tasty. The muffin with egg is also tasty. Very good location They forgot to add sauce to the salad second time. That's why it's 4 stars.

Okay, I wasn't going to leave a review because who loves a Karen? I also do like going here, yet I'm in pain and feel sick and after reading some reviews of mislabelled cakes, I think it's so bad. I ordered something I thought was gluten free, I don't think it was. It's quite shocking, i know its not quite natashas law since it's not prepacked but allergens still are there regardless and if someone's allergic to milk like natasha was, please as business take some consideration and responsibly. Also, different coffees require different textures of milk, which needs to be heated at 65 degrees. I watched the man heat it, not checking the temperature of the milk, no thermometer, they cost nothing🤣 it really does change the taste of coffee, fun fact. It was wayy too hot and bitter, slight hint of medicine taste, weirdly. Cappuccinos are foamy, it made me laugh when I took the lid off to see what looked like tea🤣 keep the nosil just under the surface, so it makes a weird kissy noise and bring it down to expand the milk. Don't think it was great for the price, it was over priced considering what I'm paying for, I expect, disappointment really.

Very nice coffee and the best Eccles cake I've had since my childhood, if not ever. They'd even played on sunshine for the October half-term!

Great views of the beach and sea don't think it's a good watch to see staff standing 20 feet from the property having a cigarette in plane view of the public.

Stopped for a coffee whilst on a Sunday morning dog walk - coffee was on the bitter side and definitely needed sugar - service was lovely though - was considering a cake but no prices on show which is a pet hate of mine so left it. But as I say the girl making the coffee was polite and friendly.

Fabulous place to get tea, coffee and cake. There is a huge range of cakes on offer and plenty of seating outdoors. Staff very friendly and a perfect place to sit and take in the views. It offers more food but I’ve only ever been for the cake! :-)

Had a tasty meal deal here today. Gish chips. Peas and a pot of tea £20 was a real treat. This cafe is very clean, and the staff friendly. Plenty of seating inside and our with lovely sea views. We will certainly return when in the area, to try the delicious cakes, which are in abundance and very tempting.

After a walk on the lovely sandy, windy beach, we stopped to enjoy a hot Latte and was not disappointed. The cafe is spacious,clean, and full of delicious cakes on display, together with written menus of all the great selection of food on offer. We didn't have time today to sample the food but intend to another day..the fish and chips served to another customer looked delicious..! Toilets clean plenty of seating inside and out..No Dogs allowed on notice, which sounded unfriendly...maybe Sorry..no Dogs kinder...as plenty of seats outside if you manage to avoid the rain....!

The cafe is good but the little kiosk not so much. Asked for a slush, it tasted decent but they served it in this tall container which looked...wrong, I felt slightly embarrassed to be drinking from it in public. It didn't even look recyclable. What's wrong with just serving slush in a normal, recyclable cup?

Had an excellent fish and chip and peas meal at Jay Jay's beach cafe, and a wonderful deal of 2 for £20 Inc pot of tea ( only on fridays ). Quality of food was excellent and service very fast and efficient, Well done to all.

Great choice of food (very tasty) and lovely location looking over the sea. Good place just to sit and have a coffee and a slice of cake and enjoy the view. Good to see the Friday fish and chip meal deal is back on....amazing size piece of fish, good price and even a cup of tea included

The girl at the cafe was so rude. Looking at the reviews from others looks like it is a normal occurrence. If she is not member of family of owner they need to get rid as this will lose them business in future. I just happened to walk straight out. Body language and tone of voice just is unacceptable specially in this nature of business.

Fantastic food, great service, extremely friendly staff: my 6 year old son needed the toilet badly, and one of the staff saw us waiting in the queue and let us use the staff toilet! Thank you!

Nipped in for some drinks and cakes while on holiday after a beautiful walk along the beach. A disappointing visit. Brown haired girl serving was very rude and spoke so cheeky. I asked what was vegan as some cakes weren’t labelled or labelled VE and V. She replied that some were labelled in error but with a “don't care” attitude! No hurry to change errors either. Gave my order with no words like “there you go or thank you” etc, she just had a lengthy conversation with a male worker. Prices were ridiculous. The only nice thing about the place is outside looking on to the beach! Won’t be recommending here!

Stopped here for a nibble, ended up with a massive baguette. Really tasty, good service, great view. Really pleased we stumbled on this place 😀

Cool beachside cafe. Kids loved the slushies. Food looked really nice but wasn't that hungry so didn't try. Reasonable prices. WC available for customers.

My frangipane was delicious, but my partner's flapjack was wet on top for some reason. My frappacino tasted terrible and burned somehow. I asked to change it to a cup of tea and was rudely refused on the grounds that I'd taken it outside, and it would have to be 'chucked' 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♂️ Great place. Bad service. Lost my repeat custom, anyway.

All I know is that my friend offered to buy me a fab and got charged £6 for 2. That's too much. That's a 10x markup. Can't get behind that at all. Became our meme of the day!

Fabulous food in a wonderful location

4 bits of cake and 4 drinks I did think it was a little expensive but the cake was top notch so cannot complain staff were friendly. Did have to ask staff to unlock the customer toilets though which was annoying

The food was good but the fish was quit fishy but the chips were fabulous and the cake was extremely good and I recommend the peanut butter milkshake because it’s so peanut buttery and so thick

Lovely location. Good generous food menu. Seats could be better outside along with table cleaning. This is a good choice for lunch if you are on Gorleston Seafront.

Great location and a varied menu. Lovely to be able to sit outside and look across our lovely beach while having lunch. Food - bit difficult to judge this as this is the first time we have eaten here. On reflection, I wish I had ordered the bacon or sausage bap as these looked awesome. Instead I went for a prawn and crayfish baguette with salad and fries and ended up disappointed. There was far too much food on the plate and the prawn/crayfish element was not particularly tasty or easy to eat. I would return but would order something different...

I've knocked a star off because of the silly prices. For holidaymakers who have probably saved up all year as a treat to eat out ok! But silly prices for the rest of us living on pensions who would occasionally like to have lunch on the sea front but who have to stick with just a coffee which in itself isn't the cheapest in Gorleston! The food always looks really good. It would be nice to try it occasionally 🤣

Stumbled across this place whilst going for a walk up the beach. As a vegan and with someone who is gluten free I didn’t think we would be able to get anything substantial but was very impressed with the options available. Really lovely to sit out in the sun but also had a great interior if it got chilly. Thank you!

Carrot cake is heavenly! But coffee is disgusting, never buy it there 😕 charge £3.30 for water with no aroma no taste

We always come here as we are local. Will definitely not come here for food again. I ordered a philly steak sandwich. I think the cook needs to google a philly steak sandwich. It was a sandwich filled with salad and lettuce and maybe 1 oz of shredded roast beef. The clue is in the name it should be steak not shredded roast beef. I've been a chef for over 30 years and shame on you for serving this at £14.95 for a salad sandwich. Disappointed

Perfect lunch on the prom, overlooking the seafront. The service was very good and the food was excellent.

Nice spot right o beach. Very busy but served quickly from placing order to getting lunch. Ordered sesfood platter. Prawns, Hot Smoked Salmon, Deep fried Calamari. Very generous salad with coleslaw. Huge plate of food. My side of chips was not required (I still ate some). Freindly service despite some confusion over my drink which was resolved immediatley with aplogies. Great cafe

Overlooking the beach. Friendly service. Dogs are only allowed at the till but not allowed in with you to eat which was a minus point for us. It was raining but one row of seating outside is under the roof's overhang/soffit so we could keep dry. Parking on main road about 100m away. There is a ramp to avoid the steps to get down to the cafe. Didn't see an accessible toilet. Toilet inside was very low down.

Rude and disinterested staff. Food that shouldn’t have been served. I should have put more detail the first time, sorry. The person who served me initially was unhelpful, with one word answers that appeared rude to me. I asked for two iced coffees and was told they did not do them. My Wife had avocado on toast with garlic prawns and salad garnish. The salad leaves were going brown, they should not have been sent out. The prawns were tasteless and the avocado had been smashed and mixed with a lot of raw onion, which my Wife could not eat. She complained, taking the food in, the chef said the salad was fresh that morning, and he couldn’t put all the ingredients on the menu. No apology for the lettuce that obviously was not fresh. No apology for the food being returned largely uneaten. As we left, I noticed a large sign saying “iced coffees”, maybe it should be removed?

Heard great things about this place, however, a complete let down. Staff looked miserable, bar one serving. The cheese scone was alright but was given hard butter which would not spread. Gluten free carrot cake was dry and hard, in fact it tasted stale. The hot chocolates were lovely. I would not go back here again, the food we had was a let down and was quite expensive, and the staff didn't make us feel welcome nor comfortable.

Place was tidy and busy. I just wanted a drink and to use the loo. Staff looked very miserable, several of them giving nasty looks as clearly the loo is used by non patrons. Personally, not a great experience

Lovely weather today so took a stroll along the Marine Parade at Gorleston. A short stroll along the promenade and you will find Jay Jays where you can enjoy a good range of cooked food and cakes. Worth a visit 😎

Found this place after walking along the front. Upon arrival we sat at a table but found no menus (these were all at the counter) and had no service (again we had to go to the counter and staff saw us sitting and said nothing). When we did order and get our food it was nice although expensive but had to again go back to the counter to ask for salt/pepper/sauce etc none of which was on the tables or offered to us. This place could be improved with a bit more service to customers and even just having a bit of salt and pepper on the table.

Superb beach side cafe. We shared a veggie breakfast and it was plenty for the 2 of us. Delicious!

Was there on bank holiday Sunday the Young girl servicing us was very rude. Had three teas a coffee 3 scones and a cake each was stuffed in a paper bag. When I said we were eating in and could we have them on a plate . Her reply was where are you sitting, I replied outside and she rudely replied well you do t get a plate . I then asked for some jam and butter and she rudely replied what else do you want? Scone was dry and manners are free will not return
