Probably the worst value for money I have ever experienced. 4 “tenders” which are essentially nuggets, a small handful of chips and two slices of pickle for £16.50. No toast no salad.

The 'Sweet Chick' sandwich was great. There was a good crunch on the chicken, the bread was slightly crispy and helped soak up the juices, and the pickled veg was sweet and sour. I had Togarashi fries too, which could have been a little better. The seasoning was delicious but they were a little dry and the picture on the menu definitely shows them being served with a drizzle of mayo. For £4, I'd expect it to.

Chicken extra succulent and has flavourful juices come out the chicken after each bite.

DONT TRUST THEIR OPEN TIMES. Closed at 3:30 PM, their own website and Google maps says open till 6 PM, I traveled over an hour to try these guys and they can’t be bothered to follow their own open hours. They couldn’t give a good reason why they were closing, argued with me that this is a normal closing time, then backtracked. REALLY bad service, and I won’t be coming back here again. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Chicken was good, especially the dip. The hours are wrong (says they close at 1800) or the attendant didn't feel like making the sandwich part of my order , but they only served half the order because they were closed at 1510. 🤷🏽

I got the Tokyo Hot Chicken Sando! Crispy, tasty batter, and juicy tasty chicken carefully encased in an array of textures and flavours which keep you coming back for more! Two nicely toasted pieces of bread and tasty fried chicken, is balanced nicely with japanese mayo for a hint of creaminess, some sort of dark sauce (caramelised soy sauce I think) for a deep savoury touch, and charred cabbage for a bit of smokey crunch and healthiness as you get your daily veges in lol. The pineapple jam is a nice fresh and sweet touch to break up the rich savoury flavours. Don't forget the chips too! I believe they use chicken salt (aussie thing) for seasoning, you can't go wrong with that <3 If you're craving a good snack or Fried chicken then say no more. The fried chicken here is absolute fire, and even better are the sandos (sandwiches) which are always loaded to the brim! They also seem to have special limited edition flavours so catch them while you can! (I think their instagram shows them sometimes)

50 minutes for some fried chicken...say no more

Food was fine but a bit bland and unevenly seasoned. I also got given the wrong fries. Staff were not particularly pleasant either after they mistakenly sent me a notification that the food was ready only to tell me to wait another 10 minutes.

I think it tasted off bc they gave me burnt toast but the chicken was immaculate and the staff were great I’d definitely maybe ill give them one more try in the future

A bit of a mixed one here! First, the order process: you need to scan the QR code, you can't just order and pay with card. The payment method in the link wasn't working for my partner at all, he was trying for like 15 minutes. It worked for me but if he was on its own, he wouldn't have been able to order. Then we got the order. Chicken tenders were crispy, juicy and a bit salty, but quite nice. It comes with a sauce of your choice. Now the sauce was a let down. The pot was tiny, it was supposed to serve 4 tenders but we could only dip 2 of them and that is with us just taking a really small amount of sauce for each bite. We went to ask for a bit more sauce, as it wasn't near enough for all the chicken, and they were really rude to us and just said 'we are not giving you free sauce, if you want more you scan the QR, order it and pay for it'. I mean, really? We didn't want free sauce. We just wanted sauce for the whole meal, if the meal says it comes with sauce for the chicken I'm expecting a decent amount not the tiniest post they could find. Service was bad. We also tried one of the sandwiches and I liked it more than the tenders, as at least the sandwich had some sauce to go with it instead of being plain chicken. Food was good, but other points were a bit disappointing so I don't think I'll be back.

Rude and inefficient with zero interest in dealing with the public. "Scan the QR code!" is the only customer service you get for the overpriced chicken. Literally no help given when the QR code doesn't work. Why do i need to log into Facebook or Google to order some fried chicken. Neither link worked! I complained about the process and was told to "Scan the QR code" again. Then told to come back in 40 mins. Just take card like everywhere else ffs. Chicken ok. I hope this venture never expands off this site.

Best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had

Have grabbed a few bites from here recently and it’s beginning to feel like my new go to grab and go. The chicken ONG! Flying up next week with the family, they need to have their bellies spoiled too!!

#C367 that’s my order number. It took 45 minutes for a single meal £20 order. 4 burnt chicken tenders, undercooked chips, concerning. No coincidence other people are saying the same, I see they said they couldn’t find their order because they can’t reply to that so I have started this review with my order number. I approached the team in person to discuss my concerns and I was greeted with 0 response, the guy didn’t say one word, only smiled

I thought the menu of this place looked interesting, but its hard to know what everything is without asking the servers (who were pretty busy to be able to talk). Service was slow, about 20 minutes wait. The chicken was a bit oily and the batter to chicken ratio wasn't the best. All in all, it wasn't bad but I probably wouldn't go back.

! The chicken thighs were so good that our whole table had to order them too ! Ketchup was like water though.. could do with heinz… 😋

Was walking past to get the train and saw Japanese chicken shop. Convinced my friends to eat here. I asked the lovely lady behind the counter to help me make menu choices which she did and also my friends. We all sat quietly in the pouring ran eating the tastiest, crispest chicken I have ever eaten. This is such an unsung hero, I would travel out of my way just to eat here. A absolute diamond in the vinegar yard rough!

Dry chicken, small portion, what the hell is is that piece of bread doing. When have you ever seen a piece of toast in Japanese cuisine? What a disgrace. Awful and overpriced.

Christ. There were about 3 chicken strips in my sandwich. Worst chicken sandwich I've ever had, an actual chicken would have put more chicken in. £13!! I was left with a pile of bread and crusts. Avoid, unless it's the last place on earth you can eat. If it is, still don't bother, words cannot describe my disappointment right now. Got more up my nose than in my stomach. Staff friendly, not their fault

You know the food is great when you go for "seconds" !! Such was the case when we found this brilliant place with amazing flavor packed fried chicken topped with wonderful seasonings and sauces !!! Crispy and tender. Coating looks over fried. Dark brown. Would prefer if they used panko bread crumbs. After all it is a Japanese ingredient right? Yuzu honey dressing was ok. Could not taste the citrus. Go if you're desperate for fried chicken

Great guys but chicken was 50% skin/batter rather than meat; and burnt. Toragashi fries were totally unseasoned. House sauce tasted like soap.

What a tasty find! Nestled away at the top of Bermondsey St, I headed here for lunch and grabbed the chicken meal box - crunchy, tasty, hot and fast. Absolutely loved the Japanese / American fusion here, the staff were clearly excited to serve me which added to the experience. I'll be back for sure 🍗🍟
