The host of this location is an arrogant, rude little man. He is incredibly unprofessional. Worst customers service ever experienced. I practically had to beg to see the location, and even after my plea, I was met with hostility at the door. The place needs a re-paint but not even paint can wash away the bad mind spirit. I urge you not to book with this man. Toby Carvery would be a better venue.

My Auntie had her 70th birthday celebration here last night and it was great! The decorations were nice and the staff working at the bar were very kind, the two young women working at the bar deserve a raise! Carribean food on deck was A1 enjoyed it! Pineapple juice and mocktails were very nice to 👌🏾 overall a really great experience will never forget it.

I went to this restaurant on 25th March for a 30th birthday celebration. They offered us the Caribbean menu of rice with kidney beans (rice and peas), with the option of either curried goat, jerk chicken or sea bass. The peas weren't cooked and therefore could not be eaten. We ended up throwing the peas at each other for a laugh because what else were we supposed to do with them. The curried goat had no curry, or any other seasoning, it was hard and rubbery. One of our friends had the sea bass and she too wasn't satisfied with her meal. We ask the waitress to call the chef to explain this terrible standard of cooking but he refused to come out . I wont be going there again. Waste of money. I spent all that money for food and ended up going home hungry

I have visited The Broadway 3 times this year! I booked for a 40th birthday dinner for a friend, and we sampled most of the menu, and it was delicious. After the first visit, I brought back friends and family not only for food and cocktails but the amazing customer service. I have a birthday coming up and considering hiring the place. The venue is beautifully decorated and has a good ambience. I would recommend and thank you for having us. Narinda

I can not recommend The Broadway Muswell Hill enough. We had the best time here over the weekend. Everything was so simple from booking to creating the bespoke menu for private dining. The experience was exceptional. Getting 100% feedback from all my guests speaks volumes. I/We look forward to returning very soon.

We celebrated my mums birthday here, the staff were helpful and friendly, food and drinks were great. it was a special night for us and we all were treated as such. We will definitely celebrate here again.

Absolutely fantastic attention and service Andrew truly knows his wines a fantastic little South African white number perfectly accompanying the beautiful fillet of Sea Bass with Gratin dauphinoise and healthy steamed tenderstem broccoli what’s not to love in this chill vibes venue 🎶❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I was really disappointed when I attended this establishment for a friends birthday, the staff were unfriendly and gave me attitude. I wasn’t thrilled about the food either as they did not get my order right and the food was cold. Furthermore, there are issues with my friend receiving her deposit back for the Awful service she and her guests received & it’s shocking to see how management are failing to deal with the matter in a professional way. There are too many red flags associated with this establishment and bad customer service and failure to deal with customer complains appropriately and respectfully, I find truly disappointing. I encourage you to save your money and think carefully before you choose to dine here.

Terrible service, had to wait one hour to get seated even though i had book prior. The waitress ignored our needs came and took our food order late, if that wasn't enough the food came cold. i HIGHLY would not recommend.

Came here a few weeks ago, absolutely poor service from the waiters. Was continuously ignored whilst waiting to place my order and when it was time to place my order, it was as if the waiter was getting irritated with my questions which just shows bad attitude coming from the staff at this establishment. When the food came out, that was honestly the cherry on top. Cold, bland and poorly presented. Please avoid this place at all costs!!

This place is in North London, nice little place. The steak I had I really enjoyed but the starters wasn't that great, the Shrimp was over cooked and the wings were burnt. The place is not huge but is a nice setting for an intermit occasion. The drinks are good especially the rum punch. I'm a Wray and nephew girl but their house rum was kicking real creeper. I would actually go back because the owner was very nice and did try to correct anything I was unhappy with.

Had my baby shower at the Broadway and it was amazing . My coordinator Cassie made everything easy and amazing for me from the first day I called to enquire . I would definitely recommend. Beside the issue we had with the toilet . Customer service was very good I can say. Lovely people , lovely vibe, lovely cute space thank you again !!

Over priced and no value for the money you pay. Had a burger for the mains(Chicken Slider). Was served a very small burger with no chips or any accompanying carbs. The chicken in the burger was blan. If you go here for dinner you need to fill up before you go or stop at some other place after your meal here to grab an additional bite.

A beautiful night out post lockdown....firstly, the service was impeccable, efficient and friendly. Secondly, I recommend the Broadway cocktail, named after the restaurant, a blend of lychee and other concoctions that makes for a delicious and delightful mix. The dishes are light but hearty and again I recommend the parmesan chips and roasted pepper and halloumi salad. The atmosphere is an inviting one and all in all I had a very good evening.

The food and service was excellent. And its' really reasonable priced, too, especially considering the quality of the food. Everything was yummy!

I visited this place for a bottomless brunch over the Halloween weekend, there was a reduced menu that night but it is such a lovely place with a good ambience, decor was nice, and the location is easy to find. We were welcomed in by Kalliah who was very friendly and patient with us, as we were unsure of what cocktail to get first. Andrew and Cassie were both attentive making sure we were happy with the food and drinks, the man at the bar was smiley and the security Guard was friendly and talkative. I ordered the teriyaki salmon which was flavoursome but instead of black rice got fries and pumpkin pie for dessert, also got an interesting shot after dinner Overall it was very nice place, would be going again for sure

Went to the Broadway on Saturday night 12th of December we all had an amazing time. The food is amazing and their cocktails are the best in North London. The atmosphere was Great and the service is so good. I really enjoyed my time at this upper class cocktail bar. Looking forward to going back soon. Thanks Cassie and Andrew.

Cassie is an absolute star!! She turned a last minute headache into an amazing experience. She accommodated and helped arrange a last minute 30th birthday for a close friend. From start to finish she personally ensured we were looked after and that the night ran smoothly. The food, drinks and service were great and reasonably priced. The venue itself is very nice and we were made to feel welcome the whole night. Thanks again guys and your whole team on that night did an amazing job.

Nothing was too much trouble for the team at The Broadway! They made a very special birthday for one of my best friends even better! With short notice and restrictions in place due to covid we were still able to give the birthday an amazing celebration. Great food, amazing drinks and lovely service! THANK YOU!

Amazing service from the moment we made contact for the booking, through out management with Cassie and when we turned up. Food and service was fantastic, covid restrictions were adhered by but we were not made to feel uncomfortable at all. Cassie was fantastic throughout! I can't commend her enough, beautiful venue, fantastic staff. I'll definitely be visiting again!

I attended my friend's 30th birthday dinner over the weekend and I must say (wholeheartedly), that the experience was nothing short of an amazing service from the staff. I originally booked on TheFork.co.uk, however I had my suspicions this wouldn't go through due the time I booked for wasn't available on opentable.co.uk. So I called to confirm my booking, they said they weren't aware of a booking being made and I asked to make a booking. When we arrived we were told they had my booking and they would be back. The restaurant was absolutely rammed; there wasn't an empty seat. No one came back to talk to us, the manager didn't bother to help. The security guard tried his best to help but we left after half an hour waiting, with no progress. No compensation or communication - poor customer service.

Went for dinner and cocktails. Firstly, social distancing not very well managed. Drinks were ok if not a little expensive. Food very basic for the price ( starters better than mains)and due to an issue in the kitchen starters came out with mains. When we complained nothing was done, not even a small amount off the bill. Will not be coming back!

Really nice local bar, the staff were really helpful and despite it being very busy they were very attentive to our needs. Really well designed lay out with good music to set the mood. The menu was really good and had a lot of options. Lastly there were plenty of options in terms of drinks and cocktails which packed a punch. Will definitely be coming back

We Hired this cocktail bar for a private function, the place is beautiful, very clean with wonderful staff and security. I would definitely recommend. Thanks for helping to ensure our celebration was enjoyable and private.

A chain Japanese restaurant. Expectations were not high. However to my surprise my pork wontons were quite good as was my chicken bibimbap (which came in a hot stone bowl). I'm nit-picking here but perhaps the miso was a bit of a let down. Service was prompt and on a couple of occasions staff asked if we needed anything. Yes, a bit of a surprise and good value too.

I went for lunch, noodles cold and soggy. I was given a refund with no complaint. I dont understand why a potentially nice place could run down like this

As a Japanese restaurant, 1 thing they should have is Salmon... and they were out It was about 8:10pm on a Monday so not even like it was late at night. And I asked if they had sold out for the day or they just had non in stock. He said none in stock After rice, salmon is something they should ALWAYS have in stock. So I left without eating

Visited on a very busy day, service was fairly swift. Food received was perfectly fine and spicy - I had a chilli chicken special - but there was not much of it for the prices charged. So many places nearby to eat, they could perhaps review this, but assume either tight margins or profit maximisation is informing this.

Their food was quite good. I went there a few times with colleagues. After some months when I visited again I was surprised that the quality had seriously dropped. Wondering if the management cares at all. I will try again after few months may be its just a glitch in the system.

I felt compelled to write something as this place seemed to be getting a tough ride from other reviewers. It’s fast food, the staff aren’t meant to be over the top friendly and it’s not meant to be gourmet or healthy. This branch recently stream-lined their menu; so now only serve a couple of dishes (all chicken so I hope you like chicken). It was a wise move I think, service is fast, food is fresher and they’re concentrating on just the dishes they do best. I promise you it’s the best Chicken Katsu Curry in the square mile and better value than most of the others too. The chicken is moist and they don’t scrimp on the extra veg and sauce like other places tend to do, next time you’re thinking of having a slightly over-indulgent lunch at Wagmama, Wasabi or Mikado try the Japanese canteen instead.

I've been eating at Japanese Canteen on Ludgate for years but my last couple of visits have been horrible. I've ordered the stir fried rice noodles with tofu and been served basically a lump of over-cooked noddles with about a teaspoon of sauce and a couple of bits of shredded cabbage, carrot and 4 pieces of tofu. This used to be my favourite dish and certainly not that hard to make. I've noticed fewer and fewer folks here at lunch so I'm assuming others are having the same experience. I gave them two tries but certainly won't be going back.

I went to Japanese canteen regularly for a period of a year, up to the point where the usual girl at the till went on maternity leave. I went today for old time's sake, and deeply regretted it. The bald guy behind the till was brash and frankly a bit rude. When my friend's order was ready, he shouted out, "hey!.. you!.." because he'd forgotten to give my friend his number. How about a simple, "excuse me, sir.."? I ordered chicken yaki udon and chili squid. It was really bad..... The noodles were non-existent and the chunks of chicken were massive. What happened to cutting the chicken up? Worst of all, the entire thing was cold. I work about 3 minutes walk away, so I hadn't trekked around for ages for it to go cold from being outside. For £6.45 I expect slightly better quality, if not quantity. The chili squid comes in a little box about 8cm high. This little box is £4. You used to get at least a full box, now it's half empty (or half full if you're an optimist). The squid was also tepid at best. It was soggy, miserable and the batter was actually dropping off because the squid underneath was still wet. I had to microwave the noodles and ended up throwing the squid away. Never going back here again.

5 min wait for my bento. Good quality food and very tasty. Not the cheapest and service didn't delight (no big deal....just wanted to go I and out as fast as poss), but definitely tasty and will certainly return.

We have been a number of times and find the value for money quite good. We tend to go for the Korean Bibimbap set (seafood, beef), which is served on a piping hot stoneware plate. You then mix the ingredients yourself, which also cooks the food and creates different textures of crunchy and soft. Good value for money, but do not expect a traditional restaurant setting. The tables are long and you sit on benches canteen-style.

I thought the food is great and good value for money, but the service could be better. I approached the person at the counter to place my order, a pretty-looking Spanish girl(I think), who excused herself as she had to go see to a customer at a table. No problem; I waited until she returned and gestured me to speak. When I was about mid-sentence, without any explanation, she suddenly checked something on her calculator, ignoring me. Right. Finally she looked up giving me her full attention and said : "What do you want?" What do I want?? What do we all want? What is the meaning of life? Why do birds fly? I figured maybe she was having a really bad day and proceeded with my order. The waitress who delivered my food to the table simply put it down and walked away. No smile, no "enjoy your meal", no nothing; pretty stuck-up, really. All of the staff there appeared to have the same attitude so I don't know whether they're being terribly treated, overworked, underpaid or whether it's just the way they are, but I've seen much more friendlier service pretty much everywhere else in London. Food tastes great, though, and lots to choose from (Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Thai too, me thinks).

Good chicken teriyaki bento...a bit on the sweet side. Yummy sides and a lot of chicken, rice was very bad though. Didn't try it but they also have bubble tea and Korean specials. Very large sitting area, have student discount and good service, had to wait about 10 minutes. Will def come back!

I was looking for a light lunch and I found the Japanese Canteen at Great Tower St.The counter person was so busy closing his register, counting money he didn't acknowledge me.The ramen chicken soup was good, great flavor and decent portion.

The food served in this semi fast food restaurant is decent for the price paid. However their staff and whole management of restaurant is a huge let down. Sign outside of restaurant shows £2.95/pint of beer however charged £3.45. The staff on the counter was not apologetic at all when mistake was pointed out. Then she charged us £28,000 on credit card machine instead £28. Simple mistake yet could be disastorous if we didn't spot it.

Satisfactory bowl of beef udon soup. Very little strands of beef though. Next to a Uni' so design for students. Not as good as Wagamama or any other branch I tasted. So nothing special.
