I often come here with a friend of mine and the staff know us and ask about how we are doing. I love the variety of meats and oh boy the quantities!

Booked for a group of friends. 1 mocktail drink order for that exception drink took 30 minutes compared to water. Friends were waiting for promised meats that took forever or didn’t show up. Some meats were fine others we waited for dry and overcooked and Sundries also not refreshed drying up to hard chips. it was a mostly unpleasant experience so we politely raised with him through the meal. Owner acknowledged delays and then then suggested he’d fed meats to other customers and a particular cut promised was now only frozen and unavailable . We suggested service wasn’t good and we pay the mini price a staggering £15 discount on a £127 bill which he argued over and then begrudgingly gave. At which point we would have left and already planning never to return but Then the owner chose to suggest that our private table conversation about better serving restaurants was not appreciated and we don’t need to come back. 52 years on this planet and this is the only time I’ve ever had to speak to a restaurant owner to say how rude his behaviour was, a complete fwit attitude. I’m fair in not all was bad 50% of food was fine but that’s pretty poor overall other steakhouse give roast pineapple and cinnamon free this place charge extra with barely any cinnamon. So I stand by our private conversation that other places are much much better and the positive reviews you may read are the exception not the norm probably the owner was away on those days. This owner is in denial about service and human interaction in a business like this and frankly the quality of service is reflected in the food standards No passion , poor standards to keep things fresh and with the consequential interaction after seeing the delays himself and commenting on our private conversation over service elsewhere was a step too far. I can only recommend you stay away from the aggravation. I promise you you’ll have a better time at McDonald’s than dealing with this numpty.

Extremely disappointed with the food, service and behaviour of the owner. He was downright rude when I commented on the food. Rather than apologising he told us not to come back again. I told him I had already decided upon that even before he started being rude to us.

Came here with my mother wanted her to try out steak and we absolutely loved the food fresh clean and nice. Highly recommend

Two of us went and the service was extremely disappointing with both food and service. The food was basically the same meat but in different flavours which tasted the same. The person in charge of the restaurant that day was not giving privacy as he was sitting right behind us. When we didnt finish some of the meat he went on to inform how expensive it is and therefore indirectly telling us to not waste food and therefore we felt pressured. Also they failed to make it clear the pineapple was charged extra as they brought it to the table as if it was part of the buffet deal. Definitely wasted money and would have rather gone to nando's next door!!!

Surprised that a Brazilian rodizio didn’t have wine... Meat was ok, the chicken was really good. We went for the full rodízio which surprisingly did not included the pineapple. The salads were nothing special. Nothing to write home about and had an upset stomach the next day. Can’t say that it was from the food but a bit of a coincidence. Disappointed as it is local and would be a great place for the occasional dinner out.

So finally paid a visit to this eatery when the birthday boy in our party of five decided he wants to eat here. The welcome was fine, the party got seated and explained how it all works, no issues there. The options of full (with allegedly twelve cuts of meat and chicken) or half (choice of five, three chicken and two meat) on the menu, four of us opted for the half and birthday boy indulged with the full. The self service salad bar was the starting point. Lots of options which can fill you up if you don't pace yourself. Best was the lasagne. Worst was the coleslaw which had chicken strips. No one was expecting that. Next the main meal and this was brought to the table on skewers and sliced for you to help yourself. For the half rodizio, the three chicken options included wings, a boneless piece and one on the bone. This was topped up with two cuts of steak. For the full rodizio there were other options of steak. No one kept a count but there are definitely the same cuts with different flavours, eg garlic, pepper or so on. All the chicken pieces were too dry for me. The steak pieces were also too dry. The theory of having a grill running all the time is fine but does not work if pieces of meat and chicken are on the skewers waiting for customers - they dry up. Oh having had our fill, garlic bread turned up. This was by far the best of everything on offer. Shame it turned up last. The drinks were fine.The owner was welcoming and even brought us plates for the birthday cake. However the qualify of the steak and chicken was disappointing and all bar the birthday boy were disappointed. Based on food this place is definitely off my list for the future.

I went to this restaurant whit my blind friend and they did not let as in because saying that dogs were not allowed,when we explainted them that was her guide dog because my frind was blind ,they looked at the dog very with scorn and told as in an arrogant tone that they were we allergic to dogs. We been goin to this restaurant for long time, but look like the managment change and they do not respect the law.

Have been here few hrs ago and it was delicious . This time round complete opposite , food was off , complained to the owner ,falling on deaf ears , there was 7 of us . Only thing worth eating was the buffet salad. When we came to pay we were given a measly 10% discount , this was the surcharge . Very disappointed considering we told the owner from.the beginning that there was something wrong with the food , it smelt off so we wasn't risk eating it . Will not come again nor recommend to anyone . Eat at your peril. Would give it zero rating if I could

Saw the chef bring out skewers of already cooked meat from the kitchen, it was then i realised that the quality would be questionable. By putting it on the bbq again to cook meant the meat was burnt. Whilst you can remove the top layer for larger chunks of meat, the small lamb cubes and all of the chicken cuts were very burnt. With the 12 meat option there are only three cuts of beef but in different flavours... Tasted the same to me. The lamb cubes and ribs were burnt. The ribs were not edible and just bits of fat with no meat. Chicken obviously over cooked due to reheating. Meat was only provided in small wafer thin slices. Lots of items promised on buffet missing. Go and spend your twenty odd quid else where and order one thing that is nice. I didn't even try get a discount as I knew what the answer would be and I was entertaining guests so had to pretend to like the food. Perhaps try the lunchtime five meat option for better value as truthfully you get the same cuts in different flavours.

Manager constantly hovers around table, pizza was nothing more than tomato slices covered in cheese on a burnt crust, "fresh" mango juice was made with Rubicon, the chocolate cake was not cake - it was fudge-mousse cake and finally, the manager had the gall to ask my mum, "Why didn't you eat it all?!" in a stern tone when he saw she didn't finished the "cake" - as if it was any of his business; she has a small appetite. All of that hassle for £42 and they were all miserable. Never going back.

I like the concept of a steakhouse where you try different cuts of meat as opposed to just one meat, however i think this place is abit pricey. At either 16.95 for the mini buffet or 19.95 for the full buffet its pricey considering theres only so much you can eat. Personally i think 9.95 is how much i would want to pay for the mini buffet. The meat itself is excellent, the service is great, very friendly and accommodating. Not really a place for kids. Drinks are also very pricey and not included in buffet price. No deserts in buffet price either. Would go back only if price was reduced or spacial offer price.

This is the place for meat lovers specially those who barbecue meat sliced off skewers. The menu is fixed and includes more than a dozen cuts of meat grilled and brought on skewers to your table. After trying all, you can order seconds of your favorite cutes. There is buffet on side where you can help yourself to salads, vegetables and starters. Go with a big appetite and enjoy.

Friendly service, decent buffet selection, small cosy restaurant, delicious meats and healthy. Didn’t enjoy the cocktails though, too watery and glasses were warm straight from the dishwasher.

On 9 of April restaurant stop me and my guide dog to enter restaurant because of allergy of other guests! Dog presents does not make allergy has to be direct contact with dog. This situation should not happen but discrimination appears in this place!!

Visité Jantar con mi familia, había que incluyendo un bebé que llevamos en la sillita. El restaurante estaba completamente lleno a capacidad. Que era agobiante. Se puede decir los propietarios querían maximizar en las mesas ya que no había lugar para los servidores para moverse correctamente o personas para sentarse cómodamente. Además, las mesas pegajosas no era acogedor. El restaurante necesita un buen limpio!

This place came well recommended that I've been here twice in the space of a month! Without a doubt go for the £16.95 full rodizio menu which includes 12 types of freshly cooked meats and a wonderful all you can eat buffet. On weekends make sure to book a spot as it gets busy and if you have room for something sweet try the cinnamon topped grilled pineapple!!

Reservamos a través de tripadvisor y nos fuimos con 10 minutos de anticipación. Me parecía sorprendido de que había una pareja viene a pesar de mi reserva. Esto no pinta bien, pensé. Nos sentaron al lado del buffet. Mi esposa no parecía muy feliz.

What can I say about this place, it just keeps getting better and better. Excellent marinates on their meats and the quality of the meat has gone up a notch. If you enjoy BBQ meat, you will not be disappointed here. Highly recommended.

Si pagas el menú buffet y como comer un montón de diferentes tipos de carne jantar tiene una selección muy agradable. Los lados son sabrosas también yo diría que es un buen lugar para alguien que tiene una gran capacidad para comer. Realmente puedes llenar en todos los cortes de carnes agradable que tienen en oferta. El camarero viene con nuevos recortes y hay al menos 12 disponible a través de todos los que fui dos veces y era de peluche cortes y muy feliz.

Meat quite tough. Not many options with side dishes and surprisingly deserts not included and when grilled cinnamon pineapples were being cut in front of us we were told they were additional! Cheeky!

This eatery is one of the best places I have visited to date! The meat comes straight from the grill to your plate! The meat is very tender, juicy to the bite, I was actually smiling with every mouthful. Salad bar has a good variety of things also but my focus was the juicy grilled meat! I honestly cannot recommend this place more then enough! Words are not enough to express the excellent quality of food at this place! Try it for yourself and you will see! I can almost taste the meat on the tip of my tongue writing this review :)

Was my daughter birthday and she wants a Brazilian bbq.the food was very good the meat was tender and juice ; The waiter was there all the time a very nice man happy to serve you. That is A VERY GOOD NEWS !!!! now you can buy your own Alcoholic beverage and bring it to the restaurant with you.We enjoy very much.We could not try the desserts we where so full.I will be back again with more friends.I thought the pineapple was bit expensive,

I love the marinade they use on their meats. They are full of flavour. The meat is usually cooked well done but that's the way I like it. Sides are maybe not as good as they can be but overall, this place is amazing. Keep up the good work.

I came here for my birthday and ordered a full rodizio, which for £17 is very reasonable. It is a fun place to come with a group as you have a green and red sided card if the green side is showing they will give you more meat if the red side is showing they will stop. There is a buffet with salad and other tasty bits and pieces like pasta and moussaka. A tip don't fill yourself up with this as they are about to bring round more meat than you can manage! My favourites were the peppered steak and the lamb, the chicken wasn't quite so tasty but all in all well worth a visit!

The buffet spread they have is amazing as well as delicious (and you're not paying an arm and and leg for it too)! The meats they offer are many which allows you to fully experience the true way of a Brazilian steakhouse. The cuts of meat are lovely and extremely tender and juicy. When you think you finished a round of meat there's always someone ready on hand to serve you more! In comparison to Nabrasa (a similar restraunt to Jantar) the meats they offer do not come near what Jantar has to offer. Nabrasa offers more Chicken and so sausage more than anything and their meat selection is poor with a limited few!If you're looking for a true gastronomical adventure Jantar is the place for you!

If you're like me, and you have a meat binge occasionally when the time is right, then Jantar is the place for you.I would strongly recommend going there for a lunch treat, when there is not much crowd and when you can make the most out of your Jantar experience.Succulent cuts of meat and Chicken. All rotisserie style. Rich, abundant hot and cold buffet, but if it's your first visit, don't make the rookie mistake of visiting those buffets first. Wait for the meat to be served. tuck in, and then you might get the sides.Very friendly and honest service. Amazing atmosphere and great value for money!

Visited last week with group of friends from north London. Drove an hour and a half to get there!The meats are hit and miss. Some tender and delicious, other bland and a bit tough. The mustard beef was my favourite. The sides were all very delicious too, especially the pasta and battered banana. This was my second visit and I will probably go again too at some point (they have a loyalty scheme now so 5th visit is free).A few things to be careful of. The £18 price does not include service charge added, so the price for full rodizio is actually £19.80. Soft drinks are £1.75 plus 10% so nearer £2. We each therefore paid around £24 with 2 drinks so it is a bit pricey.Also, there is very heavy upselling here. At one point the waiter bought a grilled pineapple to our table and started to cut it and then told us it was an extra £1.50. We were a little disappointed and refused telling him we thought it was an inclusive buffet and had paid enough. We weren't happy with the way he did this. He then gave a small taster. Believe me, it was not worth the extra £1.50. They also come around a few times with a dessert tray which I believe are £3 each. We did not indulge as we were already full.Overall a decent place for rare occasional visits to enjoy something different. Lunch time is much better value so I may visit in future for lunch on a sunday.

went with my friend and it was thursday evening. Located right next to nandos. Was a bit skeptical but a waiter explained to us how it worked so we thought we would give it ago. they bought various meats and carved it onto our plates, some were delicious, while others i felt lacked a bit of flavour. Also had some mocktails which were nice, although slightly pricey for non-alcholic version. All in all it was an interesting experience...

Went with work colleagues,the food was amazing, and the service was brilliant. Really enjoyed the experience there.

So this is the second time we visited the place. First time was spot on the food the service everything was well worth the 45 min travel to eat from East London. Second time meat was a little dry but still was brilliant overall.The staff are very freidnly talkative and very attentive.Restaurant looks slightly outdated and looks a little small but for a small group this is really good.It costs about £20 per person including drinks so little pricey if you don't eat much or much meat!We sat down and straight ordered the full whammy. We got up and it's a self service side dishes which include potatoes chips salads garlic bread with many sauces and pastas. General starters which most of them was really task. But be warned not to over eat as this is a measly starter to the things that come out after!You get a note on table which you switch to yes or no. This simply means a chef will come round with freshly made meat and chicken of all types on a skewer and slice it on your plate. The meat and chicken is fresh and is really task even thoh the second time was slightly overcooked. Keep going till you can't move! Great service and dishes overall and I would recommend you try the place. Good to go with friends as well as this is accommodating and food is good and place isn't too loud!

Great place with lovely food. Definetly prefered the meat to chicken, but alll were tasty. Went twice in one week.

The service was reasonable and the buffet part of the meal was pretty good. But you don't go to a brazillian steakhouse for the buffet. The meats were all overcooked and over spiced. I was actually asked how do you like your steak, medium rare i replied, and i got a overcooked bone dry cut of meat every time. Hoping it was just a bad day for them but I don't think I'll be back anytime soon.

They say 12 types of meat? I didn't see 12 types of meat? After fasting all day and going with my family all the way from Dagenham for my birthday meal I was disappointed! Should have gone to steakout! The buffet is very poor selection. It is a Brazilian steakhouse but ran by bengalies? No offence what do bengalies know about Brazilian steaks? The guy serving didn't know we were Bengali and was slating everyone in Bengali. Poor form! Food gave me food poisoning. Wife was very disappointed as waiter kept ignoring her and she wasn't given the 12 selection of meat as promised on the menu.

The food here is amazing and the pepper beef steak was mouth watering. Definately recommend this place. A lot selection in meat and the chicken heart was also tasty, for those who like organ.

The modest looking restaurants belies good food at reasonable prices. It is the only restaurant known to me which serves different varities of well marinated meat, carved straight from freshly cooked joints on to the customer's plate. Eat as much as you like. If the owners maintain the quality and the price, then they will do extremely well.

I had the best range of meat at this restaurant. There was such a variety of flavours that just kept on coming. It's a fantastic place if you're a meat lover. The waiter was very helpful as well :)

This restraunt tries to copy nebrasa. The food is slightly cheaper but very poor in quality. too much fat in the meat and smelly chicken and the meat was tough and overcooked. better to pay a little and go to nebrasa.

The staff were friendly where they explained the process of the buffet. The drinks were provided promptly and the non meat buffet were all full, fresh and tasted fantastic.When the meat came the service was prompt and each out of the 12 different dishes were fabulous.We thoroughly enjoyed the fact that the meat comes to you gets cut at your plate and served. The waiter even provided as much or as little as you wanted per flavoured item.The entire experience with Jantar was pleasant. This is an awesome place to enjoy a meal in.

Never been to a restaurant like this before but I'm glad we did.The staff were all very helpful and made you feel comfortable, explaining how it works. Didn't really each much from the buffet but the meat was amazing.The waiters bring it round on skewers and slice pieces off when you fancy it - the steak was fantastic and the grilled pineapple was unreal.Although it doesn't serve alcohol, it really didn't matter as the mocktails were too tasty.Will definitely be coming back with friends.

Poor service, chewy cheap meat and long wait so please find another place to eat to enjoy your food...no wonder this place is empty on a Friday night...

A group of 4 of us ate their on Sunday evening as part of a groupon deal. We were greeted with a very warm welcome, everything explained properly to us by friendly and helpful waiters. The food quality was excellent, especially, nice choices on the hot and cold salad options but definetly do overdo this as the meat is fantastic and you will need room for that. Restaurant was also very clean. We left very full, satisfied with our dining experience and in slight " food comas"

Excellent meat. The side were nothing special but the meat was very well cooked with extremely well marinated. Excellent service and drinks. Highly recommend this place. Oh, and this place is Halal (hmc approved).

When I first ate here I didn't get the meat which was a mistake! The hot buffet /salad are nice but nothing to write home about and not great value, but the meat is incredible. The rump steak was so tender and full of flavour, and the chicken is divine. The meat option is a bit pricey, especially if you don't want to eat loads, but definitely worth it.

Good food with various variety of Stakes and chicken with good flavours, the rice and vegetables were tasty and various sauces were full of flavours , the dessert and drinks were ok ,on average it cost around £ 25 per person with main course , dessert and drink

Delicious Brazilian buffet with meat served at the table from skewers, only fault was that the meat was a little salty for my taste. Friendly staff.Set price meal so you know how much it's going to cost to eat before you start.Just make sure you don't eat too much from the buffet so you have room for the meat!

went with a few friends, we were greeted at the door and seated right away with information on the food and menu. The manager even told us "its all you can eat so eat as much as you can" (which we did!) Waiters were friendly and always smiling even took some photos of our group for us and the guy running around with the meat was 1st class. The meat comes on a stick with the waiter cutting off slices. I highly recommend the garlic steak, sirloin steak and the chicken thighs.The drinks were great especially the fruit juices, they were fresh and not from a box or bottle.

Went there on a Friday night was not very crowded. The manager was at the entrance to greet us and showed us our table! The service was very good you have a nice buffet with appetizers , salads and accompaniments! The meat service was awesome the go around the table with large cuts skewered (topside, rump steak fillet, chicken and lamb) You eat as much as you can until you turn your card to no on the table (yes and no card is provided for service) , .

Service is great, reasonably priced, all you can eat meat. Delicious and good atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Been here 3 times now. Thought i'd give benefit of the doubt. The meat here is not properly cooked and is very very very chewy. Not much flavour in the food too. Salad bar is decent. Hot and cold. The rodizio is way below average. Would not really recommend to anyone. Not worth the £15 you pay for it.

Bought vouchers for this restaurant through groupon. £29 for two people full buffet/rodizio and a soft drink. Was definitely worth it. Food was good. Meat was tasty and succulant and kept coming around regularly. Buffet was small but did the job. Waiter/owner was very attentive. Kept asking if everything was ok and if we were enjoying it. All round good experience and worth a visit if you fancy something other than a curry in Tooting.

The cut of the meat was of high quality. The chef attended the table on numerous time and encouraged to try the varrieties. Very friendly and approachable waiters despite it is very busy restaurant last night.

Well what can i say.I was recommended by a good friend and his family about this restaurant.I came in to an empty restaurant with only one other family there.To be quick and short All the buffet food was cold even the chips. The fried banana was hard and tasteless.even the steaks were not hot just warm with out proper steak sauces just normal ketchup and stuffOut of the 3 Mocktails I ordered the mojito was ok and the strawberry was nice but the sea breez was so salty we could not drink it.Thats about it. I do believe if i went on a busy day it would be better.

Eaten here a few times now and loved it every time! Recommend the meat option! Don't go if you're not extremely hungry as it will be a waste! its very difficult to say No when the meat just keeps coming! Id prefer it if there were more sauces on offer to accompany the meat. Peppercorn sauce and mustard perhaps? and maybe the sauces on the tables rather than on the Salad Bar? Will be going back soon.

We were a group of 8- 5 adults and 3 kids. They didn't charge us for the under 5, and charged 5.95 for the kids. Gorgeous cuts of meat and succulent chicken. Small restaurant in size, therefore difficult to do big groups... however the taste of the food made up for it all. We tried the lasagnea and pastas - very homey kinda of taste. Their cocktails are not to be missed... very colourfully served. We live locally therefore will be visiting again.. very soon. Lovely service too - cheerful waiters

On the 5th visit to this place I still love the taste and can't wait to come back again.Variety of salads and sauces to have with steak along with dishes like lasagne etc.All steaks are flavored perfectly Nice seating and decor and the staff are lovely peopleMust try the Virgin strawberry mohito ! It's beautiful Highly recommend this place to anyone and it is priced very well Happy eating!!

we initially thought of eating in Nandos however when we saw this restaurant with an inviting flyer posted in the entrance door..having a reasonable price for an eat all you can meat...then okay lets try. it was my first time to eat brazilian food and i was happy that we tried it out. after having all kinds of meat, i realized it was too much :) i am not a meat lover but my fiance is so he was so happy. glad we have this kind of resto in the neighborhood. we are also planning one day to take the family here. worth trying but for health wise it is not good to dine here regularly.

Tooting has a number of restaurants that take advantage of the gap in the market for non-curry based halal dining. Jantar is not the greatest Rodizio I've been to but it was perfectly reasonable and inexpensive. There was plenty of meat on offer. Avoid overloading on the buffet/salad section (basic rodizio tactics)

The serve you all the cheap food first on the buffet - such as chicken, lamb, then back to chicken etc... until you are completely full then they bring the beef! salad bar is pointless. dessert is awful. They only allow one piece of meat from each skewer. If you want more they refuse. The chicken is not so great, I would prefer the beef skewers, but these they leave right to the end so that you are so full from the awful chicken that you wont have any beef.

Spotted this restaurant on my travels and decided to give it a go today. I have tried the Brazilian barbecue grill type restaurant before only once. I have to say the "eat as much as you like" is not my desired choice of eating style. I would rather just order a meal and enjoy it but the lure of those mouth watering meats drew me back. This restaurant was far superior to my first encounter. This is a privately run restaurant and the staff are very friendly and knowledgable. The lunch offer which I had; £9.95 for buffet, hot counter and unlimited / eat as much as you like" from six cuts of meat was extremely good value. The salad bar was very good, varied and fresh. Hot meal options too including Lasagna! (Not very Brazilian) and roast potatoes, mushrooms, rice etc. All very tasty.The main attraction is the meat and these were succulent, tender and beautifully seasoned. I would recommend a visit to all lovers of meat. Very nice indeed.

The salad bar was a lot nicer than I expected and there was a lot of variety including hot choices like beef lasagne. As for the rodizio section, there was a variety of meats and all were well marinated. I think a gretaer selection of beef like I've experienced in some other rodizios would be good. Prices are very reasonable too. One small gripe was that the man serving the meats would obviously go out for a cigarette and come back with the smell still lingering. Not the best thing when you want to enjoy a meal.

A group of friends drove an hour to this place after receiving recommendations from other friends.The food was plentiful and tasty and the all you can eat system works out ok but is not the cheapest. The range is very good. You have to go with a group that can hold their own. Also, we visited on a weekday so it was pretty quiet.We had an overkill of meat but 6 months on, I am ready to visit again!Overall, worth a try!

Seven of us sat down for lunch, for the second time, it is that good. We were there earlier in the year and loved it. I also took some Brazilian friends and they thought it was authentic.There is a great choice of salads and hot food, from lasagna to gorgeous cheesy bread balls. All that is for £12, as much as you can eat. Then there is the meat! Up to 12 courses from the rotisserie and only a total of under £17. It comes to your table, one by one, and all are gorgeous. Sirloin and rump steak, chicken - many kinds, lamb, garlic bread and finally, a gorgeous pineapple, sweet and warm from the rotisserie.And the staff are lovely and friendly.Well worth a visit to Tooting for this great Brazilian.

I always reluctant to eat at a Brazilian restaurant in London. However. Even thought I didn't have the feel of Brazil inside the restaurant. I was impressed with the food. Everything I have tried was tasty and worth the price. A lot of food and not too expensive. Me and my friends enjoyed the feast.

I was initially going to Nando's when I saw a table with leaflets outside of Jantar. I was then met by one of the staff and encouraged to come in and take a look, and the food looked pretty good!!! To further persuade me came the under 5's eat free!!!The food was delicious, the service was impeccable but it is very busy and I did have to wait and squeeze through the chair isles as it was soooo manic. However this did not discourage my experience, i will go again and again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was going Nandos with family and after parking the car.. just spotted Jantar next door. After carefully thinking we decided to take a chance with this new Brazilian place and I kid you not what a surprise. I am not easily pleased with food and services but here the story was different here, the place not only had most amazing high grade beef..they had 12 different choices all delicious. Excellent buffet and a great service. Good value. Highly recommended.

I have been to Jantar several times and the quality and flavours of the meat are incredible. Such a nice change to the classic Indian or Italian restaurants.How it works: For £16 you get unlimited buffet and meat. You are given a card which says 'yes' on one side and 'no' on the other, as long as your card says 'yes' the waiter keeps on bringing out portions of freshly cooked meat, until you had enough and flip the card to 'no'. Ive read many negative reviews in regards to the buffet, and it is pretty standard and so is the salad bar, but who goes to a STEAKhouse for this! Its all about the steak, which is quality!I also recommend arriving early evening, the last few times we arrived around 6pm, this way the restaurant is practically empty and you get a steady flow of meat served.The staff are aways friendly and polite.Highly recommend if you want a different dining experience with good quality meat.

Maybe an off day but the the Brazillian food tasted Indian. Not very good service. Give it a go but nothing really compared to Nabrasa in Earlsfield.

Been meaning to try Jantar for a while now since it opened. Honestly speaking was not as impressive as the picture I had built in my head. The salad bar and hot starter section was ok not as varied as I would like. The meat which was freshly cooked and presented was plentiful. Very nice but way too much for my liking. Staff were very nice and helpful. Clean toilets and baby changing area. Meat eaters haven however sadly not for me. Thank you for the experience.

Went there for lunch. Thoroughly enjoyed the meat selection and the non meat buffet was great too. Go on an empty stomach lol

A Brazilian steakhouse is a welcome addition to the collection of Indian restaurants and fried chicken shops that line the Upper Tooting Road. I've been here a few times and have enjoyed the food on each occasion. If you like meat, the Rodizio Grill is a must. For £16, you get unlimited trips to the buffet and have 12 different cuts of meat brought to your table. My tip would be to be selective, and avoid overloading at the buffet to save room for the steaks! Some of the cuts of meat are best avoided (e.g. chicken hearts!), but the steaks were very good. There is no alcohol served. I ordered a rather pricey (and small) "mocktail", which took a while to arrive. The desserts are very good - if you have room after the unlimited main course!

I hate beef. I am not a beef eater. That's what I said to my wife before we entered Jantar, a steak speciality type of place. She don't eat beef. So you will wonder why we went there. Anyway we were just looking when a waiter dragged us in and asked if we got booking. We said no he said no probs and sat us down. Gave us a menu with no prices and hardly anything on there. We sat there thinking what we doing when the waiter came back and told us how it works. There is a set menu for buffet which everyone paid and then u could choose to have meat. Which was extra. Meat consisted of 12 types of meat presented to you by the cook and offered if you wanted as the cook walked around the restaurant offering it. Buffet was rice 2-3types, salad 3-4 types and chips and other stuff which was ok but felt like the buffet food I got for free on my trip of Egypt. Meat came round looked nice on a skewer at a time and we were asked individually " you would like a sirloin beef?" "You would like beef heart" there was lamb and chicken but only one type. Also pineapple which was nice. If you like beef maybe u would have loved it. But for me this is a no noReason is this: the place had this smell which was present in every meat... Its flavour was not of my liking. It was expensive but it was value as people just sat there and changed plates and just were waiting; we were last in first out but there were people there that looked like they were not going to stand up at all. But the meat was raw and a lot was getting wasted as when it was brung u took it but then after one bite u put it on the side. Every table was doing it piles and piles of kind of meat unbeaten untouched.Avoid if you got a soft stomach. Go if you are a beef eater.

One of my staple haunts in Tooting. There are a wide selection of meats available, which are cooked to perfection. Unlike other Brazilian restaurants, the meat is not over-salty or over powering in taste.The cold and hot starters are very tasty and include: fried banana pieces, chicken/cheese mini pastries, lasagne, meat curry, biriyani, cooked beans in a stew and some more dishes. The salads and home made condiments are great too.Staff are lovely and ensure that you've had a good time and address any issues straight away. The mocktails are really good and worth trying. Highly recommend a visit, it's a must if you're a meat lover like myself!

The concept is great for a halal restaurant however I was expecting the meats to keep coming. The service was fine when we entered but after a while i think that they forgotten about us and it's not like they were very busy. I had to ask to be served about 3-4 times. Eventually we got tired of asking finished what was in our played paid and left. Probably not going there again.

The meat is excellent. Loved it so much I was thinking about it days later. The staff were really kind and made every effort to make our visit memorable. Definitely a class up in restaurants for Tooting and well worth a visit.

This restaurant is new, I went yesterday with my boyfriend who is Argentinian and loves meat and after visiting many espetos corridos in Brasil seeing this one in Tooting got him excited. The way these place work is you pay a fixed price for the food (all you can eat), drinks and dessert not included. I don't eat meat so I had just the hot/cold dishes option which were ok (not amazing in flavour but good). It shows that it's owned by a Brazilian because the dishes are really the typical Brazilian dishes (rice, feijoada, pao de queijo, coxinhas etc etc). Apparently the meat is great, so if you like meat then this is your paradise. Dessert (brigadeiro cake) was ok but not great. The staff is SUPER attentive and nice. I recommend that if you like meat you come try this place!
