What a little gem. We had not visited Jamal's before and one question we asked ourselves WHY? Excellent food , good service and a pleasant atmosphere. If your looking for "fast Food" then this is not for you, If you want quality food properly cooked and served with care the you're in the right place. This may have been our first visit, but will not be our last, we have found our new best Indian food outlet.

All excellent not one complaint but be aware the curry strength of the Mr naga chilli is up to what it should be HOT and delicious,. Poppadoms & pickle tray, mixed meat kebab and onion bhajis for starters,mains were succulent tender lamb in the spicy 25 and the notorious chicken Mr naga, lemon rice and chipatti all washed down with a large bottle of cold Cobra what more do you want. Needless to say we will be revisiting on our next visit to cleethorpes.

Wow. The food was excellent yet again. I was unsure what to have, so asked them to surprise me. I definitely wasn’t disappointed. Everything Jamal’s do is just in another planet.

Went here Saturday night the 4th February 2023 booked a table for 8-30 The place was very clean and the waiters was very friendly. The meal from the start to finish was excellent garlic bread nice and light onion salad spot on and the curry wow . We never at any time felt rushed not like others there Would highly recommend this place this will be my one I use in the future when visiting cleethorpes

Fish pakora starter was a let down, bland batter with no seasoning at all. Mix meat starter was ok. Now the good bits main meals was both really enjoyable mr narga excellent all the right kicks. Spice 25 lamb one of the best lamb dish I have had for a long time. So much so we asked to speak to the chef and thank him personally would recommend the main dishes Will revisit

Visited Jamals for the first time ast night ( with Ronnie). I really enjoyed my visit. The decor is nice, bright and fresh, and clean. We received a warm welcome. Poppadoms were fresh and crispy, the dips were very nice. Onion bhaji was perfect.. nice and crspy. And served with chilli jam. My lamb pathia was very nice.. chunks of very tender lamb, plenty of it, the sauce was very nice with lots of garlic and onion. One of the nicest pathias I've had. Mushroom rice and garlic naan both great too. Service was quick and the food was hot. Highly recommended. Thank you !

Great service and great food. 1st time visit with group of workmates and everyone commented how good it was. Not as crammed in as at some restaurants. Staff really friendly and efficient. All food was excellent.

Pleasant ambiance, friendly staff although no sign of social distancing and the tables too close for intimacy. Reasonably prompt service considering the restaurant was quite busy. I couldn't find a menu on line but there was the usual range of dishes one would expect in the average Indian establishment. We both chose a Biryani and were brought a substantial meal. The steel bowls weren't hot so the meal was cooling giving a greasy texture to the rice. Perhaps the chef was trying to emulate a Lucknow or Kolkata Biryani as spices were sparingly used. On the other hand perhaps the local taste is for bland tasteless sauces. Either way I'm afraid it wasn't a pleasant experience, and that extended to the accompanying vegetable curry. I've munched my way through some memorable curries in the last 60 years, from Delhi to Kandy starting with the famous Veeraswamy in Regent Street. This won't be one of them. On the positive side there was plenty of protein with notably succulent tender lamb, and the onion bhaji (which I'm very partial to) was excellent.

I've visited Jamals for years. First name terms and the chef will always come and see how you like the food and any adjustments for next time. He always remembers exactly how you told last time. Great service and feel like friends when we enter. You'll struggle to find a better curry anywhere.

5 stars doesn’t do Jamals justice. So it’s a 5star WOW from me. The place, the food and the staff are out of this world. If you’ve never been, you need to go!

Had a takeaway from here - chicken tikka masala and boiled rice. Delicious and still piping hot on arrival! Definitely recommend!

Came here over the weekend with the family, food was spot on service was prompt. I had the chef’s signature and my wife had a spice 25 both dishes were amazing. The meat was soo tender in my dish! Loved the look of this restaurant, clean and fresh.

Not the greatest meal, husband curry he said tasted like old chicken from the night before, rice was awful and cokes flat, not a great place, no COVID measures put in place and no masks worn by staff at all, would not return there. I played it safe didn’t eat much Bombay potato which was okay.

Just called in on the off chance of a table! They had one left! Lovely food and friendly service! Had a Jamal special and my husband had a mixed kebab! Both excellent!

Excellent food and service as per usual and the refurb looks fab, great to be back. Tried every place in Cleethorpes but Jamal’s is definitely the best. Keep up the good work lads.

Jamal’s was recommended to us, so we thought we would give it a try.Ordered through Just Eat, given an estimated delivery time 1.5 hrs ahead and they just met this time, but the food needed reheating.Compared to other takeaways we have used,, the portion sizes were disappointing. The Pilau Rice was the smallest size we have had from any takeaway. Both my wife and I commented that the Masala sauce was lacking in flavour.The cauliflower in the vegetable masala was difficult to cut and had a rubbery texture.We were surprised to find potato skin left on some of the Bombay Aloo but I suppose this can be about personal taste.Will we order again - No. was it value for money - considering the price paid, no.Time to return to the takeaways that have looked after us in the past.

Exellent takeaway, delivered via Just Eat. Onion bhaji done to perfection, with crisp, fresh salad.Rice good (both boiled and pilau), chicken jalfrezis were excellent (not oily at all), saag aloo also delicious.Naan bread not quite done right - a little bit cardboardy, but a minor gripe!Overall, an excellent meal, and very reasonably priced. Slightly milder than some places - more focused on real flavours than the chilli factor - so if you like it hot, consider going "one up" on the menu!Will definitely order from here again!

Popped in around 9.30pm, the place was not really busy, which I found surprising. Our food arrived quickly, the Peshwari nan had just been taken from the tandoor and was fluffy and hot.All the food was tasty and we couldn't fault it at all. We will definitely go again next time we are on a night out in Cleethorpes

Disgusting nasty chicken, vile attitude of aggressive staff, reported to trading standards, they made me pay without even eating it, completely empty restaurant the whole time we were there, I’m not surprised with the food and attitude they have, clearly going under, penny pinching bad attitude, I travelled over 10,000 miles this year across 16 countries and never had this kind of treatment or quality even in the most deprived countries.

Never had a bad meal here. Always fresh, tasty with excellent service. I can't say any more really other than its my favourite Indian Restaurant in the area.

Nothing ‘wrong’ with this place; but I have had nicer curries. For a start, the better tikka Zalfrezis are served on a sizzling skillet, not just on a dish. Likewise, it would have been nice to have had a hot tray, to keep the food that bit warmer.Was good value though, at just over twenty pounds for a starter, main course, rice, nan and a pint. To be fair to Jamal’s, the nicer curries I refer to did cost a fair bit more.I would visit again.

Horrific service and even worse food. Went for a family meal and they messed up 7 out 9 orders. Even give my 82 year old grandmother my uncles very hot curry and argued that it was exactly what she ordered. Staff even argued when I told them they had got my drink wrong. What happened to the customer is always right?

What can I say that comes close to summarising how good Jamals is? The food, the staff, customer service... everything is straight out the top drawer Thank you so much.

Found this place quite by accident and wasn’t disappointed in the food, the service and the prices. A nice bunch of young men running this place who were on the ball for service with a smile. First time I’ve ever had an omelette on a dish but hey, this place is worth another visit

The service was very good and the food was delicious! We had popadoms and the pickle tray to start....a good selection of dips! Jalfrezi and Balti were well flavoured and the rice was well cooked. Cobra beer Too full to try dessert.

Was a tad unsure of the place when first walking in. Was placed on a large table near the kitchen in a fairly cramped space and decorated with multiple shades of pink. Waiting staff wearing t shirts as uniform. Perhaps not the greatest first impression to set all in all. That said, the staff were friendly and welcoming. Excellent pickle trays with a good selection. My mushroom rice and lamb chilli masala (served on a sizzling plate) were superb. A nice fresh pint of cold cobra to wash it down with left me happy and content. I’d definitely go back. Streets ahead of my experience in the agrah down the road.

We made a last minute visit to Jamals as we were in the area. I read trip advisor reviews prior to the visit which were all very positive. We recieved a really quick and friendly service from the waiter. The food was delicious and came out hot. We had a prawn puri starter which was lovely, a chilli chicken dish, naan and a pilau rice. I'm not a fan of Indian food but the food was really nice.

Myself and my wife have used this restaraunt for many years, but we moved away from Cleethorpes making it harder to go frequently. We went last night for first time in 3yrs and the staff still remembered my name! The food is always amazing, freshly cooked and the staff are so attentive. If anyone works in a customer service field and wants to experience what really good service feels like, this is where you need to come. It’s great value food, fantastic restaurant, brilliant chef and the 2 brothers front of house are absolutely on point Thank you to Jamals! Simply the best !

I ordered a chicken 25, never had it before but would definately order it again. The nan bread was delicious and light. The only drawback was I was not allowed to order popodoms whilst I viewed the menu !!! something we always do in other Indian restaurants so we did not end up geting them (their loss)

My wife and I decided to try Jamals as we were in Cleethorpes. We hadn’t booked but we were accommodated. The menu was vast, with some great dishes. We found the quality of the food excellent and the staff were friendly and engaging with us. On the Dow side wine choice was limited, one house white and 2 others. The draught beers were off, but there was a good selection of bottled Indian beer available. We are in the process of moving up to the area,and will definitely return.

This was a first visit for all five of us. We had pre-booked because to be honest it doesn't look the largest place from the outside and with it having such great reviews we thought we'd struggle to just walk in..... as some found out that night.

Went to Jamal's on a friend's advice and we were not dissapointed. I ordered one of the hottest dishes with naga chilli and it didn't disappoint . Hot but very tasty, the others ordered a variety of meals, all of which were good.. mixture of naans and a pickle tray too.

Firstly start with a big thank you to Jamal’s for getting a table sorted at very short notice. On arrival we were greeted with a friendly smile and shown to our table. Drinks ordered and at our table in a instant, food order was taken and before long we were tucking into some excellent food. From the pickle tray to the mains and rice the food was very tasty. We all had something different and it was all top class Indian cuisine. We have eaten once here before so I would recommend Jamal’s to friends and family.

The food was fantastic and the service was great, the only downside was that we waited far too long for our starters, then another long wait for the mains.

Great traditional food. Don’t order from the menu, speak to Jamal and he’ll cook anything to your choice. Family run, great food and great service.

Having read the reviews, some are good some are bad so I wanted to write a review of our visit which was very positive. I'm very picky so if I have a good experience I want to let people know about it.

Called in for an evening meal with the wife and family, had a delicious 3 course meal and all the trimmings.the chapattis were out of this world

Wow! This restaurant was recommended to us and we’re so glad it was, the food was amazing, very tasty, a good sign when we walked in was the owner shaking hands with locals, the place was full and we were lucky to get a table without pre booking. Would definitely recommend and return.

I work here, I have a meal at the end of every shift, I stand and watch in the kitchen as Jamal cooks my food, all prepared freshly, the food is delicious. The people I work with are brilliant, I well recommend this place to anyone who likes Indian food.

It is always a good sign when a restaurant is full. Whenever we have tried to walk in without booking we have failed so a phone call was in order. A polite reply to my message on the answer machine was welcome and prompt, setting the tone for our visit.The waiter took our coats on arrival and remained attentive and friendly all evening. The food was fresh, hot and cooked to everyone's taste. We struggled to clear our plates, though not falling to the temptation of over-ordering and would certainly recommend the menu on both quality and affordability. We will certainly visit again.

Spur of the moment choice. Staff were friendly, food was ok. Lemonade was flat but as we were rushing we let it go. Less than £30 for poppadums and pickles, two mains plus sides and two non-alcoholic drinks...not bad.

My fella Had a king prawn dish last night and has been up since 4am in the bathroom now half 6 definately beware, the prawns were spiralled in the dish didn't look right when plating up should have gone with my gut feeling and trashed it, not happy at all

1st time eating here was on christmas day 2016 there was around 20 people dining for food on xmas day & therefore was closed to any1 else. All the food served was loverly! fresh and hot! the two young male staff know there menu inside and out, as i have alleges they told me what food to avoid. the food i did end up having well.... it was simply AMAZING!! i have been back a few times since for take out and the quality is the same! 'eat in, or eat out' nothing changes, its hot fresh and very scrumy.. i can highly recommend Jamal's you won't be disappointed!!

Really good food and as I like my chicken really well done this is in a handful of restaurants where the chef believes me when I say "really, really, really well done". It was cooked to perfection (thanks). Chefs son was a tad surly (hence the 4) but other than we really enjoyed our dining experience. Thanks

Been here several times now while staying in Cleethorpes. Service really good and the food is amazing. Really competitive priced, looking forward to visiting again this weekend.

i was staying in cleethorpes for a few days but unfortunatly my wife took ill and was in hospital i called in to see if they had a table i could see at least four vacant with no reserved on it was obvious by the waiters attitude he did not want one person sat at table for four,he said no room and practibley showed me the door,what he did not know they where two other people joining me went to another indian restaraunt different again polite and friendly no problem with a table for one. we stayed another week but there was no way we would eat there we walked past and went to friendly i am a person in my sixties and i have never had treatment as bad anywhere in the world

Tell Jamal what you like and he will discuss it with you, make suggestions and then present you with fabulous food. You want Vegan you get Vegan. You want hot and he discusses whether you want naga family hot, green chilli hot, or garlic and ginger hot or more.The next time you go he knows what you had last time and can make suggestions.I know people that travel from London to get a Jamal's meal.

Called into while visiting family in the area. Received a very warm welcome, offered a table and menu. The food was excellent, freshly cooked, and generous portions. The staff really looked after you from the moment you arrived to leaving.

Food not good,and did not arrive till 7.30 took till 8.15 to get food then they asked us if they could have table back at at 9.00 hadn't even finished my drink. Would not go back.

love this restaurant everything is freshly cooked and taste is marvellous even the lime pickle is homemade. Made to feel welcome and the owner likes to speak to all the diners. Highly recommend

Jamals recent ground floor conversion was ill advised to fix tables and chairs to the floor an to leave the toilet access at the top of a steep stair climb, a very difficult task for the elderly

I found this restaurant by chance 2 minutes from my hotel.I was the only one there .Good decor and nice staff and a good range of meals .Average prices .

I am a frequent visitor to Jamals as I love their Indian cuisine. I have wanted to sample their special 'Lamb' dish for some time.The Lamb requires to be ordered a few days ahead to allow the dish to be prepared.Well, I was not disappointed, the whole experience from starter to the main lamb dish and sides was amazing.We all absolutely loved the clean tasting, Indian spiced lamb and all the other tasty dishes.We had a great evening and was so well looked after by all the staff.

I love Jamals.All the staff are SUPER friendly.My fav food is the chicken korma.Most of jamals food is amazing. 10/10 Reccomend this

Me and my hubby had a meal last night the food was amazing, everything was fresh ,big fresh tomatoes in my curry ,you could see the small chunks of chopped garlic on the naan absolutely beautiful. The staff are so friendly you can tell it's a close family run business the dad is also the chef o believe and he took time to come and say hi and remembered us from last time even though it had been a few months, the son (sorry not sure of names) was really friendly but not intrusive and I noticed that whenever anyone left the restaurant a member of staff opened the door for them. well have used several Indian restaurants in the area over the years but none compare to jamals.

Me and two friends visited Jamal's and the food was great. Jamal took the time to come and speak to our table and it was nice to meet a chef who is still passionate about what he does. This passion also comes through in the food and the service. You can tell this restaurant is a family affair, all the staff seem to genuinely care and ensure you have an enjoyably experience. If you enjoy authentic Indian food that's freshly prepared then you won't be disappointed. If you are looking for over elaborate and confused menus offering hot Korma's and mild Vindaloos then give it a miss. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We called in here last week for a quick dinner after a long journey home. It's a very friendly place and the food was good, but we thought it was pricey. Over £40 for just poppadum, 2 main, side and a beer and a coke. But the food was lovely. Pity the whole visit was spoiled by a very loud group of 4 people who felt it necessary to shout to each other instead of speaking at normal levels. They completely took over the restaurant, we had to listen to their holiday escapades, yes we get it they like Thailand. !!!!! Very very Annoying.

Family run restaurant. Excellent service. Wonderful, tasty food. The side dishes are fresh and not smothered in sauces; especially the okra; it is a delicious addition to any of the meals.

We had a friends get together there were 10 in our party...m2 of our friends are local and recommended Jamals....what can I say wow wow wow.A family run restaurant who are all so friendly and helpful.The food is exceptional we all ordered different main courses and all of the 10 dishes were fantastic.My husband ordered the signature which was fantastic and the chefs special which happens to be the owner.Well worth a visit you will not be disappointed.

Lovely food, great value, but like many an Indian restaurant locally, in need of some investment on the decor! The service by and large was great, but come closing time we were rushed out and made to feel rather unwelcome at one point, which took the gloss off what was otherwise a great night.

First impressions count for a lot and the restaurant is in desperate need of a facelift. The carpet is filthy & a lick of paint would go a long way. The food is average at best, I've had far better Indian food. Dissapointed as I visited here after reading rave reviews. Not for me sorry

This is a little family run restaurant on the main front at cleethorpes and it is the best Indian food I have ever tasted they will make your curry to your own liking on the hot scale and they have a wide range of foods for every palate the staff are very polite and friendly and the whole eating experience at this delightful restaurant was a pleasure well done

Doesn't look much from the out side but the food is excellent. I had Jamal's special & it was one of the best indian meals I've ever had. The only downside, it was a bit of a tight squeeze round the table. If your really large you'll struggle to be comfortable.

We came here as a family of 6 early evening but with no booking, a table was quickly prepared.We've been a couple of times before and always been impressed with the service and the food and this time was no exception. We had poppadoms and pickle trays and all went on to have amazing main courses too, the naans are large so we stuck to one between 2.As we were eating more large groups arrived and tables and seats were quickly moved around to fit them so whilst the restaurant appears quite small it really is versatile.The food is the best Indian we have tried in the Cleethorpes and Louth area

The restaurant was really busy when we arrived only just got seated the staff were really nice we all had different meals and we were all really happy with what we had the food and service was excellent.

Very welcoming family based business, seated food ordered then you start looking around ! The floor (carpet) is worn badly but made more noticeable as its not been hovered ? The title Exclusive India cuisine would mean above average (table both @napkins)but found it to be below. Looked on trip advisor and this restaurant only had 10 reviews this year. Meal was enjoyable but not what I ordered no napkins, just a bit of tissue.sited on the sea front would expect this place to be busy ? If the owner spent some money and but a bit of love back into it, it would come out of the 80's.

We called in to Jamals on a Sunday night it was about half full with a regular turn over of customers. The service was excellent and friendly. The food was great quality and very tasty with adequate portion sizes. I had the sizzling lamb with chilli dish(Can't remember the name) it was very good. It may not look like a fancy restaurant outside and in but it was clean and importantly the food was better than the ones I have tried in brick lane London, Bradford, or Birmingham. Although it is over 30 minutes drive we are likely to make this our local restaurant! Well done chef and staff!

Been coming here for the last 11yrs with my wife and the food never disappoints. Even though the name has changed throughout this time, the food, environment and customer service never disappoints. Jamal's cooking is always very authentic and we always feel like we've tasted something new when we come here. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get as well. This place is easily the best Indian in terms of customer service, food and environment we've been to.

I have been twice now when visiting family, and both times greeted warmly without being over ther top. Polite and friendly staff. The food is delicious. I will be going again .

Amazing food and first class service don't be put off by the looks. You don't have to order off the menu just speak to chef and he'll tailor the meal to your requirements. I come here every week.

This is a small but very friendly family run Indian Restaurant. No gimmicks just good honest food. We took a friend who 'didn't like Indian Food'. Jamal came out and spoke to her about her likes and dislikes - result a convert to Indian food, so much so she couldn't wait to return. As well as the usual Indian dishes I would recommend one of Jamals Signature Dishes as they are cooked from scratch and not in his own pre-prepared sauces. My advice is to book as it is small and can get busy.

We arrived without booking on a Saturday evening and were fortunate to get a table. The restaurant was very busy but service was polite and efficient and we were not rushed. Our waiter helpfully pointed out that one of the dishes we ordered contained ingredients that could affect food allergies- not a problem for us but good to know that staff are knowledgable about the food. The atmosphere was lively and bustling. Although not particularly memorable the food was good, the service was excellent and we will definitely return.

I never used to visit Indian Restaurants purely because I don't like Indian Food. I have visited here a few times with my friends now though, as they cater for all requirements. Every time I visit I have a steak with chips and onions. This steak is one of the best I've had, I can highly recommend. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff are always on hand!This is a must visit if you're in Cleethorpes.

We visited this restaurant for a meal out with family, what a little gem where you least expect to find one. Wow . . . the food was delicious, the service attentive without being instrusive, a little gem of a place, don't be put off by the fact that the decor is a little dated, pop inside and enjoy yourself a great Indian meal . . . perhaps best to book first though as it's very popular!

Cold rice, cold chips and cold tidgy bahjis. £4:50 for 4 tiny bhajis. Nope, I won't be ordering from here again.
