Jaipur Of Llantwit Major in The Vale of Glamorgan

Beautifully decorated restaurant. Very clean. Staff are experienced and know the menu well. We had starter and main for two with a number of extra sides and a few drinks all for £70. The food is very well cooked and served piping hot and fresh. The flavours of each dish was well balanced. Would highly recommend. We went on a Saturday night and pre booked.

The only place in town for dining in evening meal on a Sunday and it didn't disappoint food was really really delicious and service was friendly helpful and prompt, thank goodness we found this oasis

Party of 12, the place was massively understaffed yet did not tell us that that at any point. Waited forty minutes before our order was even taken, and an hour and a half in total before our food arrived. All other tables had similarly poor service, the little staff that were there were not in uniform, they were obviously desperately trying to operate a subpar service and ruining their reputation instead of simply closing early. When the food arrives it was of a good quality, admittedly, but absolutely did not justify the wait. Will not be sitting in for a meal here again.

Delicious dishes full of flavour and all freshly cooked. We’ve dined in many times and also had take aways but the dining option is favoured more so now as they allow BYOB 😁

I ate at Jaipur recently and was shocked at how much things have deteriorated. The staff were rude and the food was bland and tasteless. I will not be returning unless it changes hands...I'm only giving it 1 star as zero stars wasn't an option

We visited this lovely restaurant again recently since I have lived in llantwit major and now pencoedtre Barry and I was happy to make the journey over as it was just as lovely and the staff remembered us. We had a fabulous meal .thankyou again sue Harvey

Moved to the area recently so needed to try a new Indian restaurant. We are quite shocked at how nice the food was, my lamb was very tender and the sauce had a nice flavour, only down side was the sauce was quite watery. The gentleman who delivered the food was very friendly and made conversation with us. Would definelty recommend ordering from here :-)

BEST INDIAN IVE EVER TASTED IN MY 25 YEARS ON THIS EARTH!! I visited this place for a chicken Jalfazi to take away. I loved to food it was quick service and tasted really really good. One of the best Indians around the local area. Parking was a little difficult to get access here. However there is good wheelchair access here to get to the restaurant. I took a photo of the menu as well. They have a seating area if it happens to rain on collection along with a indoor restaurant if you would like to eat in!

Had a chicken Korma....i wasn't impressed...the chicken is brought in already sliced...likely packet cooked chicken and the source was likely from a jar and not home made, very disappointed.

Adore this place. Old school Indian restaurant. Fresh and authentic food and flavours, friendly and professional staff; and a great local business.

Used to order takeaway regularly and collect, always had a good experience with time of service/food quality and cost. Recently feel as though that has gone down hill, we placed an order over the phone - when it arrived incorrectly I was basically argued with on the phone, I explained I was happy to pay for the correct dish and was told fine but it would be 45 minutes wait and they were reluctant to deliver. When it did arrive again it was not what I requested and looked like they had just chucked some chicken tikka in a red watery sauce. Disappointed and I think we’ll be trying other Indian takeaways for future.

Had my 1st takeaway from here last night, Naga lamb was absolutely amazing. Ill try a sit down meal next time.

I'm hesitant to try new places as I can be particular about food but I decided to take a leap of faith and try the korma, pilau rice and naan bread, it was delivered quickly, a great price, and tasted fantastic, I will definitely be ordering again

Fantastic meal, delivered to our camp site, hot and delicious.

Service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere (air) was bordering on unpleasant. Bench seats were very low and the table arrangement was cramped. Food was average with lovely fresh poppadoms. The main negative was the no alcohol - none available and you couldn't bring your own and this despite pictures of a bucket of beers on their website. No problem if they don't have a licence but there should be some alternative arrangements. They are missing a trick with the courtyard which could be great.

Only sit down curry shop in this rural Vale town. Nice comfy decor and great for events and large bookings. Staff very helpful. subsequently no longer has a drinks licence with concomitant decline in trade and food quality.

Excellent food and very wide choice including their own specials, all described on the menu. We ate in and arrived before they opened but they were still accommodating and gave us a table early. Friendly staffa nd good prices

Excellent. Great value for money and not a single pubes in my food. Very professional, friendly staff. Alan is an awesome head chef. His mixed kebabs and garlic chicken tikka are the best I have ever had.

Stumbled upon Jaipur but had a great meal. Food was very nice and reasonably nice. Staff were very friendly too. I would definitely eat here again if I’m ever in the area.

Friendly staff, good service and a pleasant setting. My King Prawn Bhuna had shrimps rather than king prawns and the dish was underspiced. My standard for a good Indian meal, aside from eating in India, is Sainsbury's take away meals. This one fell short. My companions however thought their meals were very good.

Can't ever say when I have had a bad meal, always clean, friendly staff and nice food. It gets packed, the reason for this is it's great. Easy parking and in Llantwit town next to the pubs. If your visiting it's a must for a good meal, thumbs up.

Good food and enough choice but service slow.

Shrinkflation now exists in Indian takeaways! Mint sauce came in a thimble like pot with not enough to pour over the bhajis and salad. The bhajis were flat like pancakes, there were 2 and 2 halves that probably made up one regular one would expect in a starter. The chicken in the curry was used sparingly, swishing in juice. The naan bread was the size of those mini naans in the supermarket. I felt like a giant eating a kids meal. Do they really think we don't notice? All this without even mentioning the actual quality, very average and very bland yet very pricey for a takeaway. Feel like I've been conned. Where is the zero star? Edit - Oh, the frozen diced chicken not thawed and I'm convinced that naan bread was from a supermarket but with freshly crushed garlic spread over it. I'm sorry but the most shockingly bad Indian takeaway I have ever had.

We took take away. Didn't have to wait long, very good reception, and food was just as we like it aromatic, delicious and not too spicy.

Waiting, waiting and waiting. Took us too long to have dinner. Finally decided not to wait for the last dish and another drink. Two hours wait for 2 dishes and 4 pints.

Restaurant was very pleasant and clean and the staff were delightful and friendly however the takeaway food I collected was a big disappointment. Whether it was because it was a non busy Tuesday night or something I don't know but my korma was like yellow whipped cream with chucks of chicken in it, there was no curry or spiciness to it. The sheek kebab for starter was mushy as if it had been frozen and defrosted. My husbands Jalfreezi was also lacking flavour. We were most surprised as we had eaten here before and it was better then. Won't be going back unfortunately.

Rapid service for a group of 6, very accommodating and polite waiters, good value for excellent food-fresh and tasty and no excess grease. A lovely night out!

Medium spiced dishes came with absolutely no spice or heat at all. Contrary to the review below, the chicken tikka we had was extremely bland and possibly the worst we have ever had. Complained via email and had no response. Would have held off posting a bad review if someone had got back to me. Certainly won't be going there again.
