My first Caribbean experience was great … great service and awesome food. The curried goat awoke my taste buds and my family loved the Jerk burger.

Excellent food. The brown stew was divine, and our daughter loved the chicken wrap. We cleared our plates. And great friendly service with a smile by Trinity!

Came here last year for a birthday meal. Our order was taken quickly but it was over an hour before our food came out. Another couple had come, eaten and left before our food even arrived. I kept asking as was told it was on its way. I then asked to just pay for the drinks and we would go somewhere else, the waitress then said our food had just been served so we stayed. We thought the sauce was served on the side but it was all over the chicken and extremely spicy. So I'd recommend asking for it on the side if you struggle with spice. Plantain was delicious. Don't think we will return because of the incredibly slow service.

We enjoyed our meal, jerk chicken was very tasty, the brown stew chicken had a deep flavour. We also had a great service from the team.

Had a fantastic meal! The food was delicious - everything we ordered was bursting with flavour. The service was excellent too, a lovely lady and very friendly. We all ordered similar dishes and everything was a hit. We especially loved the dumplings, they were truly memorable! Highly recommended.

We have just moved to Ramsgate & needed a hearty meal so we stopped in at Jah Jah's. We had a lovely evening here...great service & great food & reasonably priced. We had jerk chicken thighs & a quarter of jerk chicken & the portions are huge! Lots of tasty chicken. Thoroughly recommend.

Great relaxed authentic vibe as we hoped from a Caribbean restaurant. Tasty food, friendly staff and wonderful rum punch. Will definitely go again when in Ramsgate.

Myself and my daughter up from London for the weekend, friendly staff, food was very nice. Mozzarella fries, jerk chicken. Ital curry Mac n chesse with jerk breast on top. Clean restaurant However the only downside was I grab some saltfish fritters for lunch and was a tad Doughie ( taste wise)

It's rare to find a Caribbean restaurant outside of London so ignoring the charms of the Italian next door I chose Jah Jah and the flavour of the food was wonderful. A small menu is always a good sign, if only the service had lived up to the quality of the food. My chicken wings starter was crispy with a gorgeous sauce, but came in such a small bowl I couldn't get a knife or fork in. If only they had provided a finger bowl and a plate for the bones I could have used my fingers. Yummy! Then the horror! I was still eating my starter ,despite being the only customer, my main course arrived! Yes they did offer to take it away and "keep it warm". Really! Again the same complaint. The brown chicken stew had great taste but was served in such a small bowl I couldn't get a knife and fork in to cut the lovely big juicy chunks of meat. In the end I just tipped it all on to a plate. And I had to go and ask for fresh cutlery, and as everything was now so rushed I didn't bother to order another glass of wine to accompany my main course This deserves to be a great restaurant and fabulous dining spot but at the moment it is a very disappointing cafe. I did make my comments after the meal but wasn't hopeful anyone would take any notice. Would I go back? Yes for the food but service and presentation would need to improve greatly!

Sadly disappointing. Having holidayed in the Cabbarean regularly over the past thirty plus years, I could not recognise the food offer. Although the halloumi fries where spot on, the jerk chicken was, charitably, pulsating rather than jerking! I have experienced the "tame for tourists" style of cooking in Antigua and elsewhere. I was not expecting it in Ramsgate! Service was good with the young girl working hard but the premises being generally grubby and unloved. It's not a good sign when the door to the loos has dirty finger marks and the exit to the street is the same. If those managing the business can't spot obvious hygiene deficiencies, it bodes not well for the kitchen standards. The loo seats were loose and would not stay up. Being a unisex arrangement, I think this would be detrimental for female customers. Poor management standards. It might be an idea to address these issues rather than simply carrying on regardless of diminishing returns. There will be a time when the available patron base have all been there and won't go again. Disappointing!

Fabulous food, great service, unhurried - family enjoyed the curry goat, jerk chicken, ital curry, rice n peas, jerk loaded fries, calamari - 3 birthdays celebrated - we’ve also enjoyed the food as take away - we’ll be back

Staff very professional and helpful, played every song we asked😁 Food... I lost words. Was sooo delicious and good, wanted more but had nowhere to put. Perfect place, sure will come back more times. RECOMMENDATIONS!!! Great Music, great rum selection

Thought we’d try it out and to be honest it’s the worse meal I’ve had for years . And the place itself inside must of cost all of £300 to do out , complete rip off for the utter slop they served up . Would never go back and wouldn’t advise anyone else to go either !

Our best meal in Ramsgate by far. Lovely cocktails, fantastic jerk chicken, excellent goat curry and the service was the best.....very friendly and efficient! I'd return in the blink of an eye.

We had a large party and despite our pre-order going awry our waitress, Trinity, was easily capable of amending the situation. The food was amazing and our waitress was both attentive whilst balancing focus without an excess of involvement. She was lovely and despite how busy the restaurant became, she made sure we were comfortable. Everyone had lovely food, all the drinks were excellent and the whole experience was excellent. 10/10 would return just for more halloumi Mac n cheese, I am however desperate to try the sea bass. Thank you Jah Jah you made my girlfriend’s birthday excellent and I can’t wait to come back! I must stress the thanks to Trinity to pushing our order out and making everything seamless, the chef was amazing too everything tasted so good I want more!

Lovely little find just off the main road, delicious food, friendly staff and a warm and welcoming interior. Definitely worth a visit if you love tasting food from different cultures, will be returning

The Caribbean food served here was amazing! Growing up in South London I’m always a bit worried what to expect out of the area. This place didn’t disappoint. I had the jerk chicken wings with a great gravy and festivals on the side - exactly how you’d expect. The sale fish fritters were fab too… My husband had the curry goat and Oh My God! That was one of the best (if not the best) curry goat I’ve tried. Absolutely amazing!

We've been to Jah Jah 3-4 times now and the last time we ate there was in February & with all of us being quite familiar with Jamaican food I have to say the dishes here are so tasty & the portions are fantastic! I always go for the Brown Stew chicken and it's delicious! Also the Dumplings are the best I've had, always so fresh & melt in your mouth! The one thing I will say is that they really could do with sone extra staff when it's busy (usually on Fridays & Saturday's) although the young lady who served us was very friendly it was very busy & she was rushed off her feet, she forgot to bring us some jugs of water after we'd asked her twice and then forgot to write down our friends order whilst taking all of our orders which had to be cooked from scratch so he basically had to watch us all eat our meals & then when he did eventually receive his meal we'd pretty much all finished, maybe a more robust apology or a small token starter or some nibbles for him to eat while we was all eating our meals would have been a nice gesture & much appreciated but sadly nothing. Just a little gripe as I know they haven't been open very long but as I said the food is faultless & highly recommended but maybe a little more customer care and attention/more staff when busy with regards to the dining experience here would go a hell of a long way.

I had a pleasant jerk chicken meal here in February. It was clearly the nicest place to eat over my three days here. Few customers so atmosphere difficult to rate. I was actually pleased to find a good restaurant open in Ramsgate when pubs didn't seem to be interested.
