Food was cold and why is my sweet and sour chicken is rock hard please

it was meant to come at 7:35 and was delayed and someone had an allergic reaction to the food

Not very happy with my order today. Regular customer but the special curry was terribly bland and not like before. Additionally the chicken chow mein had a nasty taste to it not like before.

i wasnt bothered it was a bit late its always worth waiting for the food was lovely and hot and delicious as always

Missing chicken chow mein dish - chicken balls were very good. Wasn’t really a complete meal with main dish missing but it was edible.

Poor Hygiene/Poor Food Quality!! First and last time ordering food from this place. I found Hair in the food, and I was so annoyed and hungry, as this would be my only meal all day since I hadn't had time to eat. I did collect a second round of fresh food, but I couldn't eat anything; I was afraid I might be the lucky winner of some other hair or God knows what. I end up eating water was in the fridge available. Anyway, the attitude was like, "Yeah, but that's... 😬🤷" when I showed her the picture with the hair. I asked her over the phone if she would like me to bring the plate of food so she could see the hair herself, and the answer was, "No, we're not going to use it; you can throw it in the bin." 🤣 Darlings, don't worry, I have enough money to buy myself food; I'm not looking for anything free. It is absolutely wrong to prepare food with poor hygiene and have this attitude with customers. I picked up the order at about 7:25 PM.

good food but they keep cancelling orders on busier nights. they can't seem to cope with demand

The food was old . I ordered after an hour of opening and I could clearly see and taste old food . Never again! My duck looked like it had been shrunk by microwave heating, chicken wings and ribs dry and chicken did not look or taste like chicken . This is the worst Chinese food I have ever tasted. I couldn't eat it

ordered before seven pm food arrived just before nine and that was only after i contacted restaurant to inquire with food as i small order shouldnt take that long even on busy night and they failed to update the status. regardless, for prices theyre charging, the food is questionable and absent of flavour and service is dismissive blaming the app for faults which laughable as it started working after my phone complaint.

The food tasted more Indian than Chinese. there was too much Curry. I couldn't go beyond a few spoons, had to give it up. Money wasted sadly.

I've been ordering from Jade Garden for years and never had an issue, and the food is pretty good, but last night we ordered a curry dish, which should have come with rice or chips (see pic). When we got home the rice/chips were missing from the order. We rang up to ask and all they had to say was "you've got to ask for it", which wasn't explained at all on the menu. There was no attempt to get some sorted for us to collect, so we did without. Very disappointing as this wasn't made clear on the menu and left us short of part of our meal. I'd previously scored Jade Garden higher on Google but this has put us off ordering there again.

First time I use these guys. food was fresh and hot on delivery. Very tasty and I would use again.. not greasy like some of the other Chinese that I’ve used locally. EDIT: I recently used them again and when I bought the food home I had ordered three dishes and rice but found that there was barely any meat or vegetables in it, it was mainly sauce. I had ordered the specials. The curry dish literally had one prawn and three small pieces of chicken. There was no beef or duck. The other 2 dishes were no better. It was just mainly sauce. I called them straight away and complained but the lady that took the call just simply apologised but gave no resolution. I had paid nearly £25 and they could’ve suggested I take the dishes back or send a replacement with a delivery driver. I literally live around the corner. I had previously given five stars, but I am extremely disappointed with the way it was dealt with. I will not be using Jade Garden again due to the inconsistency with the food and how complaints are dealt with . It’s not often my partner and I order takeaway but we were so disappointed with the service and the food. If they are short on ingredients they should not be serving and taking customers money. Looking at previous reviews, it is very much hit and miss with this place. Takeaways are not cheap so anyone reading this review and previous ones, it’s up to you if you want to take your chances.

tasteless, soup tasted like water, king prawn in black pepper tasteless and the chips and rice rock hard.... cold too.... not a great experience!!!

Always on point with my regular order.. not so good with service as the person looks like she doesn't want to be there. Should replace the pawn crackers with something else if the person is ellegic which they do sometimes forget n I have to repeat this to the lady at the till to make sure they do not put it in my bag other then that pretty tasty food. Sweet and sour chicken very dry, not edible.

Ordered chicken Chow mein and salt and pepper chicken peices. Sloppy chow mein, and the chicken peices were like left over batter, there's more meat in chicken nuggets from the freezer, these were so bad and un eatable. If I was driving I would have taken it back 100%. It was that bad I have come online to give it a review, like a proper Karen.

We've had take away deliverys from Jade Garden Chester rd quite often. And i can say from ordering over the phone i found the young lady is very pleasant and polite & delivery guys are also polite. Our food order is Hot & delivered within the hour. I have no complaints with the food or delivery.

Friday night and waited 50 minutes already and still not got my food this was after phoning the order through before arriving 5/10mins after phoning this through first. No refund after asking and then hid in the back so I couldn’t ask for my money back ended up leaving what a disgrace.

Ordered a special fried rice no pork extra mushrooms & although I waited a little while for my order as soon as I opened the container it was well presented & was actually the best Chinese I've had post lockdown so freshly cooked & full of flavour with a bag of prawn crackers thrown in. Thoroughly enjoyed it

Ordered from here last night... the battered sweet chilli chicken was drier than the sahara desert and their shrimp fried rice was horrendous, it tasted odd and the rice was bland. I notified them and said i didn't want my money back and they offered to attempt to make the chicken again to which I accepted, only for it to arrive and be just as dry. Delivery driver was argumentative and wanted me to give him the chicken I had already threw in the bin, in exchange for the 2nd batch of chicken, even after i told him it was in the bin! I would stay away from here for your own health sake

Ordered 3 items of food one time, cost £13, ordered the same 3 items + 1 item the next time, cost 16, however the second order they missed an item, gave me the same amount of food as the first time and still charged me more.

Spring rolls were freezing cold. Rice was dry and tasteless. Chow mein was sloppy and bland and the prawns had their tails still on. Veg in black bean sauce was gloopy curdled and looked like a period blood clot. Szechuan chicken was watery and slimy. Was the most expensive and worst Chinese we have ever ordered from. Avoid at all costs.

Do not use this take away unless you want to wait hours for your meal. 2 hour wait and the restaurant just fob you off when you call them . Food was ok but they never deliver anywhere near on time. Portion sizes are small too

Absolutely discusting worse chinese I've ever had poor value for money I wouldnt mind that if the quality was good but I'm sorry to day it's not. Bbq spare ribs was so dry and black I know they've been reheated numerous times best prt was the bbq sauce. Chips was ok but very few. Chicken balls that much batter we could barely find the chicken. Beef chowmein was so dry and the beef was that chewy we couldnt eat it. Bottle.of coke PERFECT ice cold and fizzy. Definatley wont be ordering from here first and last time.

The quality of the food was actually pretty good but that’s the only positive I’m afraid. The roast duck fried rice should be renamed to find the roast duck in the fried rice as there isn’t much. The temperature of the food is also an issue as it was barely warm. I believe we were 2nd of 2 deliveries so had to wait extra and on the app we could see food was ready before driver got to Jade Garden to collect food (approx 10 minutes) so 20 minutes + extra., not good

This is the only takeaway i use. it is the best chinese food in the area. every order is perfect , the food is always hot and tasty and delivery always early. the pancake rolls are the best ever and everything i have tried is excellent food . 5 *

Sorry but the chips were so light on colour that they looked like radish chips, no taste. The curry sauce was edible and the crackers were weirded, like thin foam paper. Not much taste at all so o won’t be doing that again.

Absolutely horrific service. Order took an hour and 15 minutes to arrive and then when it finally came, items were missing. We could not get in touch with the restaurant for 20 minutes, when they finally answered the phone the lady was completely unapologetic and incredibly unhelpful. It took us 10 minutes to convince her to send some rice and prawn toast again, that was nearly half an hour ago and it still hasn’t arrived. The food was also bland and just tasted of salt. Avoid at all costs!

My favourite Chinese in Birmingham absolutley lovely food and the portions are huge. Set meals are lovely. Just wish delivery was slightly quicker .

Absolutely awful Chips and rice ok. Crispy shredded beef was just greasy batter. Chicken balls were just a lump of stodgy grease. Mixed combo starter replaced wontons and spring rolls with greasy seaweed and some sort of folded greasy pastry. Only god knows what they did to the curry sauce too Oh and took over an hour and half to deliver too. Do not use.

Probably the worst Chinese takeaway we've ever had...... so much salt in the dishes we couldn't eat it! AVOID!

I use this place all the time, this time all the pots were drfinatly way smaller when I contacted them to ask they denied they changed the pots and made no attempt to remedy the issue, customer service is terrible. Bear In mind I spent 35 and similar each week.

In the whole Singapore noodle I had 2 shrimps, also too salty, as it burns my lips. Egg fried rice, I don't know why but, was dark brown. Nice touch with free spring rolls and prawn crackers but we defo won't get back there...

This place is so rude my order was late and to top it off my order was wrong and told me I was lying and to put a complaint in with just eat as of I'm gonna order from here again not
