Seemed a nice little chinese when we went in to order, crispy chicken was okay. The £17 for half a crispy duck for the worst duck ive ever had was shocking. All fat, looked like the scraped off duck carcass after the rest of the duck had been served. Wont return.

Ordered take out. Fantastic ! Food arrived very quickly. Hot, tasty and well presented. We even got complimentary cans of drink ! We are visitors to Weymouth and have never had take out before here, but we definitely will again ! Quality of food, excellent.

Extremely fresh .not greasy.Lovely noodles and King prawn curry recently . Tastiest chips in ages and lovely curry sauce. Definitely will use again ..It seemed to go down hill for a bit last yr but so pleased chefs on top form this year

I don’t ever write reviews but I thought I needed to on this occasion. Myself, partner & young son decided to eat in the restaurant. Although the food was lovely, unfortunately the portion sizes were ridiculously small! We were gobsmacked! We mentioned it to staff & We left hungry.

Ordered a takeaway to collect and u can honestly say it is one of the tastiest freshly cooked to order Chinese takeaways ive had in a long time loads of meat on the house specials and the sweet and sour was very tasty and thd best ever egg fried rice.

Have used your takeaway for years and love your food and service. But slightly worried that your Food Hygiene rating has gone from a 4 to a 3. You can ask for a re-visit inspection to improve your rating, I am sure all your regular customers would appreciate it.

Say it closes at half 11 I order at 11 get home and they forgot my sauce can't even eat it, and won't answer the phone despite not being half 11 yet.

We’ve used them once before and we thoroughly enjoyed. After tonight though 0/10 terrible restaurant and awful, aggressive owner that will tell you to “eat in your own place” because I am not from Weymouth but chose a Weymouth Chinese. Wrong order, cold and TWO and a HALF hours late. Totally avoid!!! Refused to refund and pick up the incorrect, late and cold order. Instead tried to charge us £30 to pay his driver! Totally unacceptable

Our food was delivered within 30 minutes, piping hot. Absolutely delicious. The batter on the prawns and chicken was crispy, the inside succulent,everything else, rice, chips were very good,as were the sauces. Will definitely return. Highly recommend

We are new to the area and so place a takeaway order. Everything was delicious. Spare ribs were tender and delicious, fab curry, duck and pancakes ❤️ Plus noodle and salt and spicy prawn - all really really good. Delivered to the caravan site promptly. No need to go elsewhere as it was spot on.

As far as Chinese’s go this one was ok. Lovely friendly staff who even gave me free drinks. Good sweet and sour chicken balls. But we just felt “off” all night after eating it.

menu was just a few sheets of paper, didn't even bother putting them in a folder, ordered 4 dishes to share, plates were stone cold, 2 dishes came out then 10 minutes later the other 2 came, food was good but think they want to be a take away only, customers coming in to dine seem to be in the way and slowing down their main business

We get Jade Garden meals delivered and they have always been really nice. There is a great vegetarian choice and the food is always tasty and hot when it arrives. A little pricey, but we think it is worth it and recommend them.

Got a takeaway fairly late into the evening. My partner and I were starving and being out-of-towners didn't realise that most food venues would have stopped serving at 9pm! Ordered from Jade Garden who were very prompt in responding and had our food ready when they said they would. Really impressed with Jade Garden food, the portion sizes are very generous, the taste wasn't bad and there were generous portions of vegetables which is often lacking in food from other Chinese takeouts. Owner was friendly and the food was piping hot when we received it. One thing that was a bit inconvenient was that I'd accidentally selected the 'pay in person' option on the online form and assumed I could pay by card when I got there. When I went to collect the food I was told to either go get cash out (not possible as all the local cash machines were closed) or go online and make the order again. I asked why there wasn't a card reader to take payment and didn't get a straight answer. It also says that they close at 11:30pm on the website but the kitchen staff had all left at 11:15pm and the owner was having to turn other customers away. Otherwise a very positive experience and I would go to Jade Garden again.

Would rate below terrible eat in ordered starter and mains only just started and second course dumped down.food cold ,service bad we complained , but like talking to a brick wall. Eat elsewhere.

If I could score 0 I would have. Some of the order was wrong. The chicken chow mein had no flavour no bean sprouts and was disgusting. Will never go there again and will not be recommending it either

Had a take away for the family again last night . It was excellent. The telephone ordering system is easy ,delivery was quick and the food was lush. Very tasty, nice and hot and lots of it. There was free soft drinks and prawn crackers . Highly recommended.

They tell you that delivery is free from £15 but when you order it they charge you... it took them 1 hour to bring it and 3 super small portions arrived. I will not repeat...

The restaurant is clearly not orientated to tourist! I arrived at the "restaurant" and was told that they didn't dine in, so please be careful of their description as a restaurant and a takeaway! The food was meadocre at best and I ended up binning alot of food, oh sorry onions they used to bulk out the food. Please avoid if you want hot fairly pleasant food. Did I also forget to mention they only operate cash only, so perhaps the taxman should pay them a visit!

1st time visiting Weymouth and thought we would try a Chinese restaurant but on reflection this came up more as a cafe of the Chinese restaurant industry. A few tables with basic table cloth on them, no Chinese decor like most have. Lighting wasn't warm but the restaurant wasn't dark . The main door is left open so the place was very cold. Food ordered and came out fairly quickly and was hot. Found the portions very small and extremely expensive. Wine was OK and a reasonable price for a full to the top glass. £4.50 a glass. Cutlery and plates clean. Real downside was the toilet facilities. Very dirty and unpleasant to use. Could do with decorating and a deep clean. A nice touch from the staff when a homeless man came in and asked if they had anything left over or spare and he was cold and wet to which the staff cooked him a fresh portion of chips and gave him curry sauce too. The big question is would we return, after this visit then definitely not. Might be worth a take away though and enjoy the food in much more comfort.

Rang for takeaway and took over 2hours to deliver. Kept telling us it was near, lying b!&£/rds. Bit of advice do not ever go here

I give 5 stars for food we ordered. Not much of choices for eat-in menu. Food tasted very good. Portions slightly on smaller size but as eat-in then we didn't have to do the dishes after, we compromised it. Bathroom is thumb down, need improvement. Very friendly and good service.

Ordered for a vegan family - vegetarian spring rolls had meat in them... We advised them we were vegan when ordering so clearly no care was taken when preparing the order.

Love this Chinese and use it regularly. One of the best takeaways in town.

So ordered a dish this evening of House Special Fried Rice. £5.80 and arrived in one of the small tupperware plastic boxes. I swear the quantity has shrunk and the price has increased. Very little meat and 2 tiny prawns. With the price of sauce was £6.80 altogether. I'm sorry but this is wrong when people are struggling and decide to have a little treat. No wonder they had a 2 delivery drivers sat round doing nothing at those prices!! Wont be using these again

Called here last night for a meal in the restaurant. There are about five tables and I asked for a table for two. I was told that they only do take away now. There is also a sign in the window which says 'Chinese restaurant.' If you no longer do sit down meals, you need to update the information that you provide to your prospective customers. Very disappointing.

Spent over £40 a complete waste of money although the food was hot. It tasted of absolutely nothing will not be a returning customer 😡😡😡

We have tried many places for a Chinese but now we only ever use JADE GARDEN curry house as we always get a great meal and well worth the money 💴, but this meal was by far, the best. We were told 40 mins wait so settled down for a cuppa to wile the time away but, didn’t have chance to finish it as not more than 20 mins later, it arrived. The meat 🍖 was so soft and moist which is always great for the teeth (haha) The prawns 🍤 were beautiful. Thankfully we have enough for two days as the tubs are so full so we get to enjoy it twice. An excellent takeaway. Thank you to the chef

Not what I was expecting, the place was very dated, stock and boxes stacked up next to eating tables. Place was drab, dark and cold. Toilet (only one) was dirty. Having said that, the service and food were fine. Wouldn't recommend or return.

I use this restaurant a lot for delivery and the food really is good. The wine is £8 a bottle. Oh how I wish they would buy better even if it meant charging a little more. Really really please change your wine

Super busy but lovely service. Chose from the set menu but loads of variation within that to please everyone (and that’s hard with 8 people) Good value for a top end Chinese restaurant. Would recommend to anyone.

Not your typical Chinese restaurant, could be any tearoom, lack of Chinese decor. Only a few tables, stock stacked in the restaurant. Service was good, I just ordered chicken curry and rice, portion size was good, but curry was not great. Maybe other dishes better,...

This is our usual takeaway and usually enjoy it but last night we waited 2 and a half hours for the food to arrive! I phoned after 2 hours and told it was on the way and they was busy and had added some 'extra' free items to apologise for the delay. Waited another half hour and called again to be told the same that it was on the way, the lady was very apologetic and friendly on the phone (kelly) but I pointed out it was now 9.40pm and I had work early and don't usually eat this late. Finally the food arrived and the salt and chilli chicken was terrible. It was so dry and rock hard we couldn't eat it so 2 portions ended up in the bin! They had clearly forgot our order and when they finally sent it out it was less than acceptable. And the 'free items' were 2 cans of drink. Extremely annoyed as we had spent £30 inc £5 delivery fee. Usually the food is very good but 2.5 hour wait for food that is inedible is not acceptable. Most of the food went straight in the bin. Was also told on the phone to tell them next time that we can have a discount but I'm not sure we will order again after last night. Ended up going to bed hungry and angry and having to get up early for work. Very unfortunate as not many good places around here for Chinese. Would rather the lady on the phone was honest with us at my first phone call as they clearly hadn't sent our food out and I said they should've called me about such a long delay.

Had a take away from jade Garden whilst on holiday, staff were very friendly, food was cooked quickly while we waited, our order was correct and the food was very hot. Flavours were perfect, chicken balls were cooked to perfection, no grease present, stir fry mushrooms were amazing, and the Singapore fried rice was nice and spicy. Only little downside was cash only. But Very happy with our meal, the food was great and would definitely use again. Thank you 😊

Ordered my food online payed by bank . 1hour and half later no food . Ring them 10 time with no answer then they turn there phone off . Will never order from this place again

We arrived athinking this was a Restuarant but found some tables nice white clothes and the rest of the room filled with Cool boxes going out for Customers and Cans on drinks stacked on the back tables. The food came out hot ,and was good...

Over my years on this planet I've had more Chinese meals than is possible to remember 😂 so going to another is no surprise. Jade Garden was round the corner from us and we decided to sit in the restaurant and have a good nosh up ☺ we were welcomed by a very happy and lovely lady who was quite possibly the most polite person we met during our stay in Weymouth ☺ Our food arrived piping hot in pretty much 5 minutes from ordering and all of it was absolutely delicious. I have to take the time to give a special mention to the coconut rice! that was just fantastic and I couldn't get enough! Good value, great service, and very tasty food. If you like a good Chinese then you'll not be disappointed going here 👍 highly recommended. Thank you!

Excellent restaurant. Catered very well for a family of vegans with a huge amount of options available, or tweaked for us. The service was excellent. Very friendly and the food was delicious. Vegan friendly.

Absolutely great service, we had a large family group (of 3 families =13 hungry people.) all ordered at the same time for the same house, each family wanted to pay separately. We put a note in the online order to explain, that would be nice if we could all receive our orders at the same time. Which they did. Very fresh food, and delicious. Would gladly recommend them 👍

My wife and I visited this restaurant twice. We tried different dishes such as Fried Squid with chilli and salt, deep fried crab claws, smoked spice chicken, chicken chow mein and Singapore style vermicelli. We liked the food however it was a little on the bland side. The food was not greasy and was well presented. The price point is good and not expensive for the quantity. The staff was very friendly. However they need to add 1-2 more servers to deal with the customers eating in as we saw that they get large amount of take away orders.

On my visit with my partner, had ordered deep fried crab claws, deep fried with chilli and salt squid and chicken chow mein. Everything was good but lacked a little spice and salt in it. Friendly and efficient staff. Worth a try.

Very basic looking place because it is a takeaway as well. There are no cardpayments taken if you are eating in. Starters and main meals were brought out at the same time. Food was lovely.

Absolutely love this Chinese. Fantastic food, fantastic quality. Good delivery service. Polite staff, very helpful. Highly recommend the duck with pancakes and sauce, also the seafood dishes and the sweet and sour dishes as they are our favs.

I've had some of the best Chinese food in the world, including China Town in New York City, but unfortunately, this takeaway is not one of them. The food was VERY salty. In fact, all I could taste was salt. The crispy seaweed side had so much salt that I could actually see the salt crystals! The sauces were full of corn starch to make them thick, but they were gloopy and gross. I challenge Jade Garden to make better food. The best Chinese takeaway I've had in the UK is No. 1 Wok in Poole, but I realise it's a bit far away.

They don't accept card, when I said would they accept a Bacs payment they refused and said I could pay by PayPal lol no thanks

Nasty! Got the order wrong, chicken curry tasted of just sweet gravy, salt and pepper chips were plain normal chips and re-heated chicken was dry and tasted of nothing, satay chicken ordered and black bean chicken delivered, overpriced, everything was just one flavour, just sweet, claggy and just plain nasty! I've used Jade garden for years now, but after tonight I will never use them again! The food was absolutely awful. flavourless, over thickened sauce with over cooked vegetables, the "meat" was more fat than anything else, we had 5 dishes and each was as bad as the other. Do yourself a favour and choose somewhere else!

After reading the previous reviews we were in second minds wether to make an order, but we went ahead and ordered a takeaway to be delivered, it arrived on time and the food was delicious, hot and extremely tasty.

Visited my daughter at the weekend and she suggested we order a takeaway from Jade Garden. The food was delivered on time but was not even luke warm. The chicken balls were vial, they were very chewy and tasted as if they had been reeheated....

Very unpretentious little Chinese take-away, truly they don’t need decor to sell the most delicious Chinese food we have tasted in a very long time. Well presented, scrumptious tasting, and excellent service from the gentleman who assisted us.

First time we used jade garden tonight. Excellent service food hot and delivered half hour before stated. Family enjoyed their food and when we return in October we will definitely be ordering again.
