Jade Garden in Sandwell

Jade garden has for many years been our favourite Chinese but after our recent experience NO. The curries were in a thick sauce in large foil containers around £6+with rice or chips now £9+ now in smaller plastic containers,curry sauce watery.I know everything has gone up in price but to charge more for LESS isn’t right.

I ordered 30 pounds worth of food from them and they sent my food to the wrong adress, then left it 50 mins before telling me it was delivered and the other adress had already eaten most of the food and then I complained and asked for either a refund or a new order to be sent out and the lady yelled at me saying no refund and that it is not their fault yet it was so yeah I do not recommend ordering from here ever!!!!

I wasn't going to bother to complain as i thought "what is the point," but this has happened to me more then once now so I'm complaining. I ordered myself a curry with egg fried rice, and a portion of chips, the curry was amazing, the chips were a little soggy but still tasted ok, but my rice was stodgy, sloppy yet burnt at the same time, absolutely disgusting. I just can't understand how a chinese restaurant can get rice so wrong, it was vile it was like eating raw rice it was pellet like, and like i said this isn't the 1st time. I ended up throwing it away and heating up a rice pouch I'd got! Its not good enough.

Absolutely disgraceful service don't listen when you order, don't smed what you order after they have read it back to you. When you ring up and ask where your food is they say you haven't paid for the food and expect you to pay again. Won't be ordering from there again basically they called us liars.

Ordered food from here many times, always been very good. Not sure what's happened of late food arriving very late like waited one n half hours. Tonight all the wrong food arrived, l called to tell them and said we had people here so would eat what had arrived. 30 minutes later they arrived with the correct food asking for the wrong food back! Delivery lady then walk off. Shame think we need to find another takeaway.

Thin stasteless sauce toughest chicken did not eat it went straight in the bin only had a teaplat it was hobble would not buy chicken had a funny taste.

First and last time will ever use my order was wrong and they thought it was ok and refused to do anything about it the dish that I was given was a cheaper side

This palace as always delivered on time for me and the meals are always great but recently the curry has had to much oil in it, please stop with the extra oil in the curry it's not nice and makes the curry turn to water with no taste, that's my only complaint, yr food is lovely 👍👍

First time we ordered from here after having menus pushed through door from postie Got to say service was awesome Food was awesome Was a spill in the bag and they phones and rectified this issue Defo ordering again 5* all the way

Friendly staff and clean from reception. First time trying chinese food. Ordered the most popular. Wasn't a fan. Chicken tasted abit dry. Flavour wasn't for me. Might have just been my taste buds not used to it? Spring rolls were brilliant 👏

Really busy for a bank holiday, so that says it all! really quick service and the food was still hot when we got it back home. The food was really nice and plenty left over for another meal would definitely recommend.

Such a shame this is my favourite Chinese place and used them every where I moved to no matter how far. But every time I order the same thing the price always changes from £30 to now £50 for the same items I have checked on their menu and my order only comes to £39 so why are they charging me £49. Surely its not £10 for delivery.

Delivery guy phones me and says hisxsat nav takes him to 200yds away, explain were my hiusecis. 10 minutes later he makes an appearance, with which whst I find out later is cold food! Phoned them and all I got was them telling me to hang on whilst they dealt with others! I put the phone down and decided the easy option was to warm my own food!! This chinese used to be excellent a few years back, now it's mediocre at best

Ordered salt and chilli chicken wings. Szechuan beef and egg fried rice. Beef and rice were nice, but opened the chicken to find spare ribs. Ruined the meal for me. Anyone ordering, check before you leave

Has this place changed hands? food usually really good, but have to say they have started the new year on an all time low, Singapore chow main very dry and bland, chicken and mushroom came with fried rice and no gravy, not what I ordered also the spring rolls were stodgy and not crispy like they used to be. Will be avoiding in future shame used to be the best by far. Well that’s unbelievable sent me a reply and apparently it’s all my fault! I ordered the wrong thing and left the spring roll in the bag to long before eating them. Not to worry found a better take away as a result. And the food is fantastic.

Fantastic house special curry there now, delivered very fast, perfection at its finest.

They made me order a drink to make the minimum order for delivery and then my drink didn’t even arrive. I would not suggest this place they have bad customer service and the food isn’t great either

Very disappointed I have ordered from here for many years and tonight the food was awful the chips where covered in salt.. I asked for gravy on my beef chow mein and it came dry .. I had a Singapore chow mein and the meat was all full of fat I called to complain and the lady was very rude stating she said the beef chow mein would be dry ? Which she never said and how can it be dry if covered in gravy ? Not happy and will never order again

1st time trying Tipton jade garden I thought jade garden in stone Cross was nice but this blew it out the water the flavours was amazing the food came piping hot Singapore noodles chicken and King prawn curry egg fried rice bbq ribs the meat spring rolls was beautiful

Had very good reviews so I gave it a try. Pork curry and egg fried rice. Lovely best Chinese I've had in years. Great delivery Total including delivery £8.10 great value in today's climate

Stopped using a year ago, it was OK but not as good all of a sudden, just had a curry and yesss it's as good as it used to be. Welcome back chef :)

It's been a while since I drove past Birmingham. I thought I get some Chinese takeaway food before heading to my mate's home. The food here is so tasty! The lady working at the counter is so polite.

Excellent food and service. Very tasty and very fast delivery. Will use again.

Avoid avoid we have orderd £44 worth of food tonight and we have had to throw it all away it was like slop and all brown I phoned up to complain after half an hour on phone they told me to come to the shop to get my money back we have got covid and I did tell them on phone they said don't worry come down so I did and when I got there I was spoken to like a piece of crop on there foot she refused to give me my money back after she took the food from me she even asked me to put my figure in someone else's food that was there to show me that how they are cooked absolutely disgusting and I will be going to trading standards this place needs shutting down still have not got my money back and I'm very upset with how I was treated and spoken to so people please stay away

0 Stars horrible food!! I ordered with home delivery the food was burnt on the outside and raw on the inside, this is the third time something like this has happened, never again Allways is someone si there argueing with the manager becouse the low quality of the food

Had a Takeaway on Saturday night,just a simple Singapore chow mein and the meat was off !! By time I had realised I’d already eaten some.I was up all night on Saturday and in bed with really bad belly ache.. and as I write this I’ve had to come home from work due to still being ill.. environmental health will be getting a call !! They should refund my meal cost and reimburse me for a day of lost earnings

First they tried to overcharge me then after spending £20 the free crackers where a babies size. Should have been normal. Then to top it all the food was bland. No taste at all. They are too busy on Saturdays and don’t care about the quality. Won’t be going back here Again

I been using this place for past 5 years but the taste suddenly changed & not the same.My first reaction was new owners,not the same peeps i wasn’t sure until i read reviews, It not the worst I’ve had but it was tasteless and special curry n special chowmein 👎🏽 & i thought u got prawns & no chicken,unfortunately i wont be using again.

Food swimming in soy sauce looks like they used an whole bottle for one meal. Seem to think it's okay to serve dreadful food. Also the driver took the food away when bringing a replacement strange never had a business want the rotten food back before I just hope someone else isn't served that or put back in the pot urrhh

Absolutely disgusting. Food looked a week old, rice was dark brown and the little I tasted was more akin to the taste of perfume rather than Chinese. Shame as this place used to be decent

Ordered Sunday evening and curry tasted scented and burnt, chicken was strangely soft not normal texture. Not sure if change in chef but not nice compared to few months back.

I've always used this takeaway and the last few months is been terrible, I thought I would give them the another go but what a waste of money I will not be ordering again off these, I called them and told them and they didn't want to now please be careful as the food doesn't taste right I will be reporting it

Have ordered from here for a number of years and would never go anywhere else. I don’t know if there is new owners or a new chef but the food was a big let down tonight. I ordered Singapore chow mein, lemon chicken and egg fried rice curry sauce and chips in a tray. Everything I ordered tasted really bland and like they had missed ingredients out. The Singapore even looks different and tastes completely different to what it used too. Even the pineapple from the lemon chicken was bland couldn’t not taste at all and looks different and the chicken was not crispy it was very soggy, there was some sort of taste there but not a lot Disappointed bring back the old food! I actually feel robbed I want a refund! Won’t be going here again!

Delicious food and we found a new flavor in the local Chinese takeaway Jade garden Tipton. Unleashed the taste of the special curry and salt and pepper dishes. The amount of food and prices ever best before.we enjoyed it all thank you xx

Love this Chinese chicken, chips, mushrooms, curry and not forgetting the spare ribs these are the best tasting spare ribs I've ever had they're delicious you always get a lot of food reasonable prices and sometimes freebies, the staff on the phone are always pleasant and the food is always hot and delivered by friendly drivers what's not to love recommend

Been ordering from jade garden for about 10 years never had a problem but recently its been horrible the special curry is really runny and just not nice and special the chow mein hasent got any mushrooms in no more bring back the old chef think I'll have to find a new chinese 😥😥very dissapointing

Rang to complain and was told the manager doesnt want to accept the complaint about the food thats been delivered its disgusting order £25 worth of food and the best part was the prawn crackers and the egg fried rice the chicken curry if thats what you call it was like pee water no onions and about 5 peices of chicken and 6 peas the special chow main was gross as had all bbq spear rib sauce all over it the chips was like bullets totally disgrace they dont even want to accept your complaint i did tell the gent on the phone i would be wrighting a bad review even he couldnt apologies enough for the manager im 10000% sure i wont be ordering from here again and to think ive told my friends this was the best round here will be setting them all straight as its gone down hill and wouldnt bother ordering from jades garden dudley port again and will be posting pics to prove just how bad this place as got SHAME ON YOU FOR TREATING YOUR LOYAL CUSTOMERS IN SUCH A POOR WAY!!!!!!

Well what can i say apart from totally a waste of money been having deliveries from jade garden for years yes we had some problems but nothing that they could not change . But recently January 2021 ordered same as normal Singapore chow me in beef curry chips and yuk sung what a mistake was not told they were new owners guess what just a waste of money it was absolutely awful yuk sung just mince meat fried with onion the meat was grey beef curry was out of a packet Singapore maybe three pieces of meat and portion sizes cut by half so my advice STAY AWAY

The food was absolutely disgraceful, ordered via telephone for a takeaway delivery, the person on the phone doesn’t have any customer service skills at all. I told him how disappointed I was with the food and he simply cut the call on me. The food was really greasy and covered in oil, as well never had anything like it. Just really disappointed with the overall experience

Placed an order items missing so rang back and was told I hadn’t been charged for them I was asked if I still wanted them !!!! Well obviously or I wouldn’t have ordered them in the first place was told rudely you need to pay for them !! I was like yeah of course he then said I would have to pay the delivery charge because it was under £13 even though the total order was £40 to start with. I said I didn’t see why I should have to pay it as it wasn’t my error he was like tough I said you know what forget it I won’t use you again and he said fine and put the phone down !! Shocking

Stale batter, dry chicken,and tasted like it was yesterdays or the day before food. Had the same twice now wont be going back

cracking food after initially coming for a while and then steering clear with the food hygiene rating dropping to 1 and the food poisoning stories I saw these recent reviews and the new rating of 4 figured what the hell they could have new people there so I gave it a go glad I did the foods gone uphill so anyone in my situation yeah id say go for it tastes great tender meat and piping hot fantastic if i follow up it will be if it goes south but honestly I 100% doubt it I think they cleaned up their act

Really impressed with the King Prawn Chow Mein we had, cooked and tasted perfect. Also been told that the Chicken Curry and boiled rice and chips is excellent.

Recently the cartons have gotten far smaller yet the prices are the same and quality the same, so that's a bit annoying but generally decent food

Quick cheap n cheerful. The food is always consistent. Local to me but I have also used the delivery which was ok too

So after my friend ordered our food my chow mein came incorrect rang up to speak about the order as I live in Dudley the man spoke down to me and put the phone down on me, so I tried to eat the food the noodles weren't cooked through they were hard I rang back to explain this the man said I was making excuses up and didn't deal with the complaint.

Having used this takeaway for years we wont be using it again after this latest visit. Never order over the phone always go in and order as food used to be better when doing this. The food has really gone downhill recently though and no matter how much you ask for the food to be well done the chips are nearly always raw. One woman in there is really rude and doesn't deserve the custom. Finally check out the FSA rating before you visit it might make you think twice!

Staff can sometimes be rude but food has always been okay to what I've experienced.

Have used the restaurant before but lost menu. Went onto JustEat to locate, but eventually ordered over the phone for collection - 1st surprise - same meal was over £6 cheaper direct. Told that it would take 15-20 minutes - which it was. Paid for on card Food was really nice and tasty and portion sizes were just right. Have seen the other poor review on the site and they must have just called at the wrong time. The place always seems to be very busy which says they must be doing something right - especially when you look at how many other restaurants are in teh same vicinity.

The food is very basic, bland, cheap cuts of meat, can even be rude if you ask them to cook things the way you like. I go there if no where else is open.

Had ribs bbq sauce cantonese sweet n sour pork 2 special fried rice but when we said special chow mien seemed to have gotten some special with mushrooms? I dunno what lol like everyone else they messed up one of my orders lol Food was decent I was very satisfied tho I'd have liked a serving of white rice for the sweet n sour pork instead of prawn crakers

1 Beef dish (small container) plus 1 portion of chips (Standard), delivery less than a mile. Total cost for TWO items = £7.90 (meal for one). This used to cost me under £6 and all of a sudden they want £8. [ Rubbery: When the food being eaten does not break into separate smaller pieces in order to be swallowed when bitten into and chewed ]... ...This is the closest i can describe the beef i ordered tonight and not for the first time either - yet again i was unable to eat it. Something has changed with this meat - something is Not Right and I can't tell what it is!! and if i'm honest - i just want to know i'm not being mis-sold something it's actually not - even if it is just a takeaway. And if they want to put the prices Up why not the Quality of the Food as well !! It's not easy to complain about food as most outlets, you don't get to see behind the scenes of what goes on when it's being prepared so you'd hate to upset them. There should be a call for more transparency, more testing and better quality for what we pay for - especially when it comes to prepared food given the prices being charged. Highly dissapointed with this place. Hope i get to find a different one where the food is worth paying for.

We orderer from jad3 garden once a week. Normally no problem. Ordered today 9th March for delivery. Ordered they said 45 mins to an hour. After an hour no food. I called and complained the abuse I got was disgraceful. As a loyal customer I was so upset. I explained the food hadn’t arrived. The pay blamed the traffic when I said my stomach n had just arrived home and there was no traffic she said I will COOK yours next meaning it had not even been started. I complained calling her a liar she said do you still want your order or not. How bloody rude. I said no I bloody don’t and will find another Chinese outlet that values regular customers. There loss as I have a blog and advised all my followers to avoid them

When I normally order from here it’s really nice, but today was a big let down, they had obviously used left overs from last night, the curry was all gooey and wasn’t even warm let alone hot, I needed to heat it in the microwave for me to be able to eat it.. bearing in mind I live a 2 minute drive from here id of thought it would of been hot!!! Very disappointing considering I spend a lot of money each week on your food, the egg fried rice was tasteless and so were the chips (which tasted like they’d been left for hours on end) won’t be ordering again, this restaurant has really gone down hill over the years

Awfull awfull customer service staff think more of answering the phone instead of serving the customer in front of them. Kept waiting while the continued to answer the phone even though I was there before the phone rang. When I eventually got served the got my order wrong had to take it back. Food not great this was my first visit to Jade Garden and will definitely be my last!!!!!!!

So I ordered B-B-Q spare ribs in bbq sauce plus mushrooms £8.30 delivered, 45 minutes wait was on time, mushrooms can't complain got what I asked for and quite enjoyed but biggest disappointment were the ribs which was the main part of the meal or should I say B-B-Q spare bones, seen more meat on a kippers dick they were more like B-B-Q spare bones apart from all the fat on them! 1st and last time won't be going back there unless it's for the mushrooms 🙁

If 2 of you go in make sure only 1 of you orders because apparently they only listen to 1 person!!! Hence I got chicken and mushroom instead of chicken and mushroom chow mein. Who in their right mind would order chicken and mushroom in gravy with nothing to go with it??? Didn't she think it slightly odd!!!

Had several currys delivered from this take away and each time they have been great would recommend this take away always freshly cooked and piping hot when delivered.

We've used jade for over 10yrs ..Foods getting worse :( we ditched having it delivered due to the chips coming soggy...ring & say collection to notice delivery charges added to the order! & just lately even when they read the order back to you they some how manage to get it wrong ..the place is going down hill collected a curry last night for it to be burnt the after taste was vile curry sauce is becoming thicker & thicker like it's congealed ..really need to start ordering else where!

I'm actually really disgusted with how I was spoken to by the (manager) and won't be ordering from here again after waiting over 45 mins for the delivery after explaining what I wanted with a can of coke it came wrong with no drink at all..as I called to report this she was rude and basically calling me a lier and that it was my own fault as I didn't make myself clear and wouldn't be able to do anything about it.. I then went on and told her that you even forgot the can of coke and her response was we will send you one now..anyways after a 10 minute conversation with this stupid cow I asked for a full refund she still went on and still questioned me and basically making out I'm.a lyer but yeah she finally agreed!!! I'd stay well clear I love Chinese food and use many other places with no problem what so ever other than this one!
