Golden City in Sandwell

I ain't used these in years ( like 10 years ).. I ordered Singapore chow mein extra spicy got to be honest with ya, it was really good like really good.. Was super quick aswell, definitely give them a try

My last 3 meals have been amazing so tasty and delivered early and with friendly drivers

Ordered on Uber, over an hour they were saying ‘it’s out for delivery’. It never arrived!! Avoid!!

Started using regular. Excellent food 😋. Nice front of house staff especially the young girl who is very friendly. I recommend this Chinese takeaway. Amazing

I'm a regular customer here, their food is very good and the staff are friendly. I enjoy the vegetarian mock meat menu, the mock lamb noodles/chow mein is nice.

After waiting 1 hour 40 minutes it absolutely rubbish and cold

Food not spicy annoyed was charged £2.50 deliver for less than 1 mile also charge £1.70 market place whatever that is will not be using these again

Absolutely disgusting service , ordered prawn crackers and they did not arrive, phoned up and they said tnon available, wasn't bothered about it , never using these amateurs again

Ordered mini samosas they were flat as a pancake and virtually no stuffing in them . It was pastry in the shape of a samosa and they charged over 3 pound for that very oily and very disappointing. Will avoid this shop in the future no value for money. Rip off Merchants

I walked away before ordering, this Cantonese mate doesn’t even have chopsticks, if you walk ina Chinese always remember to check if they have chopsticks 🥢 they mean business…dud offered me a fork instead 😂😂😂

We don't order from here anymore gone down hill missing food on orders and continuing price rises week after week . We have found a much tasty and cheaper takeaway . Best destination we ever made don't pay to be loyle

Ordered take away ribs , chicken wings , chips and chilli prawns tonight everything was terrible and inedible we paid over £20 and it all went into bin . Will never use this place again they must send out yesterdays unsold food as ribs were like scratchings .

Didn’t answer after they got my order wrong not very happy at all

I ordered a chow mein last night, I paid over the phone. The girl who took the order kept shouting out my bank details loud like she was deaf. I got suspicious so when I git to the last 3 digits I told her not to repeat them. Anyway today 4 payments of £96 mysteriously vanished from the account. We immediately rang our bank and got the payments stopped. I am very disappointed that I can't trust my local food shop not to steal my money or carelessly read out people's card details to their entire ship so anyone present can steal the details. Anyone with a ounce of common sense must know you don't repeat people's card details. If you are unsure, ask the customer to repeat and no-one else should be in earshot of the conversation. Shame on you

Curry was good my only issue is they said they used chicken breast and I don't believe it was, usually when I get a Chinese they give big square pieces of chicken breast where as these were not breast pieces but almost like chicken thigh scraps, the meat itself was really not good, very grisly, they blatantly so not give good breast meat to cut costs there was also not alot of the chicken ontop or that. I wouldn't go back on the basis that the chicken was poor there is better quality elsewhere if your after thin chicken strips instead of proper chicken breast then go there.

First time ordering as someone at a local pub recommended this place. Firstly the guy on the phone asked for my postcode, said a diff road name and I corrected him yet still sent the driver to a different road. Secondly no sauce with my crispy won ton which I always get at other takeaways. Curry is nice but before I’ve eaten it I’ve got a bad feel of this place. Not impressed sorry guys. Prob stick to just eat takeaways...

Asked for chips and curry sauce in tray had seeet n sour sauce n bag of chips. As for gravy rice n chips got rice chips with garlic water onion n mushroom. Mini samosa like baby food in skin no flavour n paste texture. Best thing about the meal was It was hot. Wasted money won’t order again it’s gone downhill

Ordered our first meal from Golden City this evening very quick delivery service. The person taking order on phone very friendly Chicken curry was one of the best we have ever eaten. Will be ordering again from here.

After a few disappointing meals and looking to eat else where, the last 2 orders we have had have been excellent, excellent service, food hot on delivery and wow tasty, will deffo be staying with Golden City

New owners food was tasteless ,will not be going back .and when we called to tell them they said hopefully better next time hahaha.NO CHANCE.

ordered special curry chips...seperate rice and chow mein chips curry sauce in a tray...was overcharge 30p the chips were missing and no prawns in my special curry.the chow mein noodles were warmed up and tangy....very surprised as this place is normally ok...but have now lost my custom

Shocking , shells left on the prawns in a prawn cocktail, greasy curry sauce,wrong dip with chicken in batter, Pork was inedible, that's if it was Pork 😡😡😡😡 disgraceful !! Need I say won't be using these again 😡😡

Had the most disgusting curry from here on the 23rd Feb 2019 nothing was edible paid £18 and everything has gone in the bin never again 😡😡😡

Had a chicken curry, well if you can call it that, the meat was large cubes that was hard and nasty, the curry sauce was very thick and powdery, the rice was ok. Threw half of it in the bin. This used to be such a good place but since it has been taken over it has gone down hill, Wont use again. Terrible

Absolutely dreadful. The food was basically tasteless very bland, but more alarming was find hair in my food, will never set foot in there again.

Tried this takeaway for the first time in over a year as we used to use regularly. I don't think I will be returning as my chicken curry was poor....sauce was o.k but the chicken was hard on the outside and dry in the centre (maybe reheated). Not many decent Chinese takeaways left in Tipton nowadays so going to cook our own instead.

new management. just had my first meal which i have had many times. no seasoning chicken was dry and no gravy. hope things get better.

I’ve been using this takeaway for many years and I can only speak for the curry. Delicious, that’s what it is. If you like thick rich dark curry sauce then this is the place for you! Give it a go.

Telephoned order for delivery. Delivered in time slot quoted. Delivery driver was very pleasant & friendly. Excellent tasty food, reasonably priced. Will always have My chinese takeaway from here from now on. Would highly recommend. PERFECT.

My son loves egg fried rice and chicken balls together. It is not on their menu, but Golden City told me they did a serving of both rice and chicken balls for only £4.10. Whenever my son wants a chinese meal, I order it and by the time I have got there within 10 minutes, it is ready and piping hot. it is very tasty and well recommended.

I have been using this chinese takeaway for years and I have never had a bad meal. I am a what you could call a chinese addict and have tried loads in and around the area. Most definitely the tastiest food I have had from a chinese takeaway. Prices are good and portions are more than satisfying. Delivery always on time by friendly driver. Food always piping hot and vegetables are fresh and crunchy - not the sloppy garnish stuff you get some places. Lots on menu for all tastes. Only disappointment is when they are shut on Mondays (as a lot of others are) :-)
