Jacksons in Glasgow City

Terrible service. We went into this place on a Saturday night at 10.30, it wasn't even that busy, but left 15 mins later without a drink. Two bar staff on, shuffling back and forth in no hurry. Served two people in the queue behind me at which point I realised I wasn't getting any drinks. Some weird system where the barman had to keep popping out the back to get ice or something which didn't help. Avoid unless you have a few hours to kill and hate drinking.

I would like to thank the lady who help me around 8.30am this morning Monday 29th July…l tripped over my shopping trolly while crossing the road… she told me that she wasn’t to let anyone in the premises but she understood I needed help by my brushed face and bleeding noise…i didn’t get your name but thank you so very much for your assistance I’m truly great full for your help x

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED!!!! I am usually an every night customer spending £40 to £50 every day I get along with the night staff swimmingly. However after this HORRENDOUS experience today in regards to repulsive racial remarks towards my friend from a member of staff, in front of onlookers from the bar. I will be rethinking my pub of choice. No one deserves to be publicly mistreated and embarrassed like this especially when nothing has even taken place. I certainly will not be back and will not recommend this establishment to anyone else after this disturbing experience. Time and date: 14:00 09/04/2024

Might be OK for a pint. But certainly not ideal if you want a bite to eat.

The staff are excellent and very friendly especially wee Norah...she can gibber for Scotland....

Decent boozer. Nice pint of Guinness. Sadly, one of our party overdid it slightly. He got a bit sleepy. The staff let us try to rejuvenate him with a cup of coffee. Alas, it didn't work. We had to leave. In hindsight, it was probably for the best.

A pretty chilled pub on the edge of the city centre. Cheap drinks, and though it shows sports, it's never been raucous any time I've been in. The Sunday lunch is brilliant, and really well-priced.

Nice pub. Has a big fish tank which is always a bonus. Decent selection of beer and was showing football.

Dropped my gf off here for a works night out, and picked her up after. She loved the atmosphere, food and the service, and recommended we go there for lunch sometime.

Was in Jackson after the Scotland game tonight. lovely pub nice decor. The staff Ed & Cora were so nice and friendly and attentive. Wasn't busy, but at the weekend do have good entertainment. Will come back.👌🎶😎

Jackson's is a great wee bar offering reasonably priced good food and drink. Clientele is fairly mixed with student types and then the older guys nursing their pint and hauf. Good selection of beers, wines and spirits and big screen tellys positioned around the bar regularly showing the big matches or whatever top sports are on that day. Very handy for the Centre of town and within a stones throw of Sauchiehall street and also Cowcaddens subway station. Now has karaoke as well. Jackson's - recommended 👍🏻

Had a bottle of cider thurs afternoon. Sat by the window watched the world go by. Pub was on the quiet side but still had a good atmosphere. Background music not to loud. The chatter of staff and locals added to a wee pub i like.

Not bad ,no cask ales , but decent choice of on tap options .

Absolutely brilliant time at Jacksons, staff and patrons make you feel welcome, perfect for a sub crawl, if your into karaoke even better, after speaking with the manager they can arrange a buffet also highly recommended.

Great wee find, dog friendly which makes it even better, staff very friendly, only complaint would be karaoke would be better if they had big screens so you could see the words rather than reading of a laptop other than that Great wee place.

Reasonably priced good which was really tasty. Not a big menu but still decent. Lovely staff. Great location for shopping or theatre.

This is a great pub. The food looked awesome.

First time trying food in here, opted for the 2 pizzas for a tenner and some salt n chilli chips. Not disappointed at all would definitely recommend the pizza, fresh as they come well topped and cooked perfectly. Will certainly be back for more.

terrible bar service, ordered two pints of peroni, barmaid told us about six times the price of the pint before she poured, tip get rid of the old angry bird

Food amazing. Huge portions. Everything freshly cooked and piping hot. Fish and chips fabulous. Service slow but they did come and explain and apologise there was a problem in the kitchen. Toilets very clean and staff friendly. Definitely recommended.

Great wee pub. Dog friendly. Pity about 1 particular staff member who insisted on shouting at us about the rules instead of talking to us like a human beings. Wont be back because of her and her alone. Shame lovely pub but experience was ruined by her attitude towards paying customers.

My friend lives near, we went for a pint on Fri night and were back again on Sunday for the £5 roast dinner. The roast is great value and the staff are friendly.

No bad pub but if it's an old firm game maybe not for Celtic fans😁

Good place to socialise a drink, decent food choice plus big screens for sports

Good quality standard pub fare at very good prices (2 for £10 all week is hard to beat). Difficult to pin down the atmosphere, as it seems to switch between a student pub and a local depending on the time of day, and also sees regular visits from 'sub crawls'. Staff are generally helpful, and we've been going back for years, as it's quite local for us.

Excellent food and really lovely staff. Pop in for a drink and you could be here all day due to the friendly regulars or Michelle and her karaoke sing-alongs. Just a brilliant bar, get yourself along.

Jackson's is a good pub near the centre of Glasgow - perhaps one of the best - where I had some good draught drinks and food as well. Great prices for the daily lunch, with only 3.5£ you can be really satisfied. But let's come to one of the best parts of this place. The Sunday Roast. It's one of the best in the entire city and a bargain for its price (5£). Tasty, delicious and a good portion as well. Last, but not least, the staff has been very kind, specially with a foreigner like me, who still has to get used to the glaswegian pronunciation. I can't wait to go back and pay a visit.
