Jack Snipe in East Lindsey

Went yesterday afternoon and had a beautiful dinner for 2. I had fish and chips. Big portion and cheaper than the chippy. My husband had steak and ale pie which was lovely. Staff were great. I had a question about a cheese which the lady couldn't answer so the chef came out to see me which I thought was lovely. Good value especially if your a family. Were not but I would go back once a week. You couldn't cook what we had for the price we paid at home. Well done to the chef. See you next Wednesday for my cheese and onion pie.

Great welcome, really clean and tidy inside. Varied menu - food was excellent and great value. Would recommend it for all.

Not tried it, time to do so. Menu, varied , we eat out often, not tried Jack Snip since new people took over, mistake. Will be our go to venue in future. So much choice compared to other local pubs. Staff friendly &helpful. Thankyou. 😉.

You need to be hungry because portions are quite big. Food very good.

Lovely food and good service. Didn't add a mark for atmosphere as it was really quiet when we went with only a few other customers at the other end of the pub!

We went for a quick dinner before we went to the circus. The food was okay, service was great.

Visited as a family of 7, ages from 3 to 67. We all had lovely meals. 2 meals for £13.50 you really can't beat it. One of us had a pizza, another half a chicken, another fish n chips, 2 of us had gammon and all meals were really nice. This was our 2nd visit and we will be back

The food was amazing ,husband had the mixed Grill and I had the Gammon both well worth the money and the Apple Crumble I've never tasted one so nice 😋, this is definitely going to be our new place to go and eat when we come each year ...Thankyou guys ,See you next year !!! We have had many meals out and this is by far the best food and the most enjoyable experience we have had. The staff were polite and helpful and we will be 100% going again.

Great food, very welcoming staff and very reasonably priced. Staff were lovely and couldn’t be more friendly/helpful. Dog friendly and they even gave us some water for her. We will be coming back next time we visit Skegness. Thank you!

It’s the worsts fish and chips I have ever eaten , batter so hard it shatters if you cut into it and the fish itself so dryed up Its like eating feathers. My wife had Mac and cheese with chips with ciabatta garlic bread but it was actually a bread roll with garlic butter and the macaroni was not good , all seemed frozen and microwaved with oven chips will not be back..

Lovely place, we literally stumbled on it walking back from the pier to our holiday site. Had a nice drink and the bar staff gentleman couldn't be more helpful. Played a game of darts with my 11 year old and relaxed for a bit. It's such a lovely place but barely anyone was there, people must give this place more of a try, they have nice pool tables and a couple of gaming machines.

Over £60 for some food, the chips were lovely but both the steaks we ordered came well over well done, when we asked for medium rare, and when we told the staff we got an apology instead of asking if we wanted another done the way we asked for, which I'm sure is tbe right thing you're supposed to do and we weren't even discount offered seen as though the steak was inedible and was left on the plate. Waiter was kind and apologetic but this isn't what we wanted.

The wedding reception could not have been better would recommend the Jack Snipe to anyone

Excellent service from polite and friendly staff. Very good food and lovely place all round. As a family of ten we called in without booking and they couldn't do enough for us.

Tried the varied menu and enjoyed our mains we were a little disappointed with the sweets though they looked lovely on the menus but different in the dishes will visit again but no desserts for us

We called in for lunch, mid week. The food was tasty and plenty of it. It's a dog friendly pub and the staff were friendly. Well worth a visit.

We were Holidaying in the area and decided to go here for our evening meal. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Food was great, served promptly and freshly cooked. Also very good value for money.

Just visited the jack Snipe for some food, really enjoyed, everyone was so welcoming which is always nice when your not a local. The food was brilliant and really good value. Would love to go back and try the Sunday dinner. The menu is full of choice. Left feeling very full, thankyou!

3 months ago l left a review, 2 main complaints that the pub kitchen closed at 6.30 on a Friday and the fact you have to walk through the smoke from the smokers who gather by the door. This evening we decided to give the pub another chance. Walking across the carpark nothing has changed regarding the smokers so we turned round and left. Won't bother coming back as there are plenty of other pubs in Skegness that have smoking areas any from the door. Owner replied they would look in my complaint so it doesn't happen again. Obviously nothing has been done

Stayed here for 2 nights in my camper free off charge as long as you buy drinks/food. Friendly staff nice place.

Walked in, found a table, waited patiently in the queue to order WITH A MENU IN MY HAND, when some woman walked straight past me making eye contact pushed in the queue and "Clair" ignored me and served the woman knowing she had pushed in, we walked out and will never go back again. I'm glad the bike night has moved to The Ship Inn else it would have stopped me going to that too.... You can doll up the place all you like, you treat your customers unfairly, you're not going to last long.

Went to auction was a bit of fun and some bargains. Food looked good. Atmosphere was OK.

Absolutely beautiful food, when it arrived at the table, it was hot , the staff were very friendly and helpful also asked if all OK.

I came here for the first time with my partner today. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly and attentive. Lovely atmosphere. I'll be coming back again with my family when they visit.

Called in yesterday had a lovely chicken teika rice daughter had burger which she said was lovely also practicing people playing and singing really enjoyed it will return

Lovely Sunday dinner , food was excellent , couldn’t have asked for better. Staff were great and welcoming and looked after my dad who struggled to walk . It is accessible for mobility / wheelchairs. There is karaoke and bingo , so plan on taking my folks back again soon .

We held a 50th birthday party last night, 3rd February, the place looks amazing now, staff so friendly and accommodating, the entertainment was fantastic and food fantastic. Will definitely be going back soon to try the Menu Great place for venue's Thanks again Karl

We thought we would give this pub a try after keep going past for years and we are so glad we did,we used to go a couple of years ago but then stopped going ,but we thought as it had been refurbished we would try the food,we both had fish and chips and it was great came out quickly and hot the menu looked good aswell ,the staff were friendly and welcoming,we will definitely be back now to try their Sunday roast.

Brilliant landlady & fun friendly staff. A proper local with bingo, karaoke, pool & darts teams. Clean & welcoming. Good selection of beers & proper pub food (would love to see some specials).

Went for lunch on Christmas Eve food was acceptable for pub food. However, the beer tasted watery it was replaced after they changed the barrel. However, it still didn't cut it..the interior was clean and tidy, no nasty smells.we were there for around 3 hours, but the noise volume got too loud, so we left

Went here today for food at red dogs grill in the highwayman pub food was the some of the best we've ever had mac&cheese to start was delicious the cheese pull was a sight to behold the load nachos were plentiful pulled pork on the top was sweet tangy and melted in the mouth the kids had a footlong hotdog which Is massive and full of flavour. Ribs were tender and sticky and fell off the bone the lemon & herb chicken was tangy and succulent. Coleslaw was beautiful skin on fries lattice fries onion rings all delicious. Our server was an absolute delight kept checking was everything OK without being intrusive. We will definitely be back got to try the burgers 🍔 next as what we saw being sent to other tables looked pretty damn good. EDIT Red dogs are no longer in this pub.

Forgot me of the menu. Potatoes _packet..veg _frozen microwave.not good for a veg cutter...told landlord about someone who I thought was over limit and he took keys off the said person.... good you think... but then to learn of the bar staff the landlord gave the keys back and culprit driver rode home on a motorcycle over the limit.Sorry but being local to this new landlord and renamed bar from the Highwayman to Jacksnipe first visit not a pub for me. . . My closest to my home to Queen's Rd. SORRY

Just been to snip in Skegness not bad refurb. But a very unwelcoming staff totally flat drink menu I wouldn't class as inviting and locals that just stir at you. .. would I visit again? Eerr not if the food and drink was free. Sorry this place will never change....

Warm, friendly welcome. Lovely refurbished. Food delicious with fair pricing. Will be definitely making it a regular place to go.

Horrible. Didn’t like it, used the lavatory and was not happy, toilet paper everywhere, none running water and the filth! Ew! The staff were rude to us because we brought our Dog inside, but the sign outside allowed dogs inside! Annoying. The people there was rude too, it was a very uncomfortable environment. As well as this, the car park was not up to standards, there was sharp little objects everywhere across the rubble, which I wouldn’t be surprised if anyone has gotten a flat tire from! This needs to be attended to asap. We planned to get a quick Dinner, but because of the rude staff, uncomfortable atmosphere and filthy environment, we only got a Coke Zero each, which they didn’t like that we had used the toilets but only bought drinks. The drinks were warm, it was the middle of August but there was no Fridges working I believe. I was in disbelief when we was told it was £4.50 for 2 cans, we bought them but we have never reuturned. The outside of the building doesn’t look to welcoming either. Don’t plan on returning, you shouldn’t either.

Landlord Andy is a con artist. Scams other businesses out of money. Owes my company £2.5k after not paying us for providing medical services. Avoid.

Expensive prices about 6 people in at 8.00 on a Saturday night. That was with a band on as well. Band was ok though

Walked in, no sign of any knives or forks. Dark, dingy, and in need of makeover and redecoration at the very least. Left quickly. If you Google your own pub it advertises food so you need to update your details. We were definitely in the right pub. This edit is in response you your reply.

Went to celebrate my Sisters belated 65th birthday party. Great male vocalist. Had a fab time, plus the drinks were reasonably priced. Nice friendly staff plus clean toilets

Friendly pub.not expensive like in the town centre. Had a hand car wash service in the car park whom was very professional cheap too

Given 1 star as we arrived between 5-6pm for food. The outside of the building is littered with boards stating hot and cold food served all day and options looked very good. On entry we were told no food was being served until end of March! So we went 1 mile down the road to a better looking pub.

Myself and my family often go to the Highwayman,the community dinner/pudding n a cup of tea/coffee for £4 on a thursday is fantastic value.Lovely down to earth staff n customers,always laughing and joking.Good crowd on a sunday for Dee Dee's karaoke,carvery is always good,well worth a trip.

Bit dingy really, needs a good revamp. Had several owners over the last few years and non have done the best job with the place.

I had a carvery at the highwayman in skegness today and it was a great meal and the service was excellent and was great value for money. I certainly would recomend it and would go again.

Had Sunday lunch. Good carvery. Beef a bit chewy. Hard to cut. Pork when we had it a month ago really was beautiful. At £12 for 2 meals couldn't complain.

Dogs allowed in bar, theres plenty of room! My husband, me and our greyhound Doshie have been to the Highwayman for Sunday lunch. At 12 we were queueing at the bar to buy lunch, 2 for £12! The lunch was amazing! 3 choices of meat and plenty of veg, the que never seemed to end, Service was brill, friendly and very helpful, couldn't do enough for you. We was to go in as a family to have a meal. Before ordering food we decided to do the toilet run. Because we didn't order food before using the toilet we was asked to leave not in a polite Manor. F-ing and blinding. Very rude staff will not be returning!!
