Wow, what a gem of a place, so happy I found it. From the minute I arrived, I was impressed. Special shout out to Olly, such a warm welcome, super friendly and a thoroughly nice fella. Accomodated a lane even though they were busy, fantastic hosting. Looking forward to coming back

We had a great team onsite here with some food, drinks & games. The service was really good, staff were very friendly and attentive. The only down fall was the food. It was bad but portions were small and it was pricey for what we got. I had to order some extra food for everyone as people were still hungry. I ordered some extra sharing plates and some trays on Nacho's. The nacho chips I could see being poured onto a tray with a small bit guacamole, salsa & sour cream in the middle and we were charged £31.50 per tray for this. Other than this it was a lovely evening!

We booked a semi private space for a group of 30-40 people on a Sunday. Everyone had a great time! It was the perfect, more engaging alternative to booking out a few tables at a pub. The space is kid and dog friendly too which is just what we were after. It was a covered area in case of rain, we had a couple of lanes for boules and they even helped accommodate for kids with some additional plastic balls. We pre booked some drinks and some food which helped kick off the event. The team looking after us were really proactive and accommodating, thanks especially to the team lead that day!

Really fun evening with friends. Great cocktails (good value, too) and nibbles. Only tried the macaroni cheese balls which were addictive but the food in general looked good. Friendly staff and can’t wait to go again.

Lovely spot in London for relaxed drinks and amazing Street Food - the Yard Burger and the Chicken Burrito are INCREDIBLE 🧡 Set in a really central location which is perfect as I was only visiting London for a couple of nights. I visited with friends local to the area and the venue was the perfect spot for an evening of catching up... plus with the boules courts it added a little extra to our evening. Highly recommend!

New South Bank gem! Fabulous fun venue for a birthday celebration, game was explained, simple to play and score even for a novice like me! Drinks easily ordered while we played although choosing proved a greater challenge for me as there was a fab bar, definitely recommend trying the J&B cocktail specials, I loved the Jack & Boule fizz! They had their own Siren J&B beer too. We had a relaxed lunch of burgers, burritos and quesadilla in the seating area, they were all excellent. If you’ve never dipped a burger in gravy (like me) you just have to try it, it’s crazy but delicious! There were even water bowls for the dogs too! We will be back!

We visited over the weekend with the family and the waitress Bell was very rude, I asked three times to place an order and the food was great but by the time she delivered it was cold. Last time we visited it was fantastic so it shows how much a poor waitress can ruin the experience

A great place to go while in Waterloo. I happened to be stuck in Waterloo waiting for my next train and hungry. I always love Wahaca and it’s quick and easy to get seated and the hours and location by the station is super convenient. My waitress, Kinga, was so warm and friendly. I came alone and only had a limited time. But felt totally comfortable. Service was great and the food filling and yummy as always.

⭐️“We walked in for a quick bite and walked out as taco experts.”⭐️ 1/365 – Wahaca London Southbank It’s a rainy day. The first day of the year spent in a metropolis. The metropolis in question is London—where a night of rain transforms into a tangle of lights, shadows, and reflections, as if stepping into an oil pastel painting, one of those Dutch masterpieces. The city is alive; those who didn’t exhaust themselves celebrating the night before are out on the streets, taking advantage of the still-sleepy avenues to snap touristy photos—without the tourists. Hunger strikes, and the colorful windows of Wahaca, their hues intensified by the rain’s reflections, act as the perfect advertisement. Climbing the stairs, the darkness and emptiness of the restaurant’s exterior seating area almost convince you to turn back—there must be better places nearby. But if, like me, you choose to ignore that fleeting doubt and push forward, you’ll be greeted by a captivating wave of spices. The lights are dim, the staff is warm and welcoming, letting you choose your own table. Service is fast; within moments, the menu is in your hands, and your drink order is taken. We’re not too hungry, so we settle on tacos. The waiter advises ordering at least three since they’re quite small. He gestures toward the counter, where freshly prepared tacos are being plated. As I follow his finger, the tacos—perfectly arranged—seem to glow under the lights. I can almost hear a drumroll, like a scene straight out of The Fairly OddParents. Even with my nearsighted vision, the presentation is a solid 10/10. We order Ancho Mushroom and Gringas Beef. The latter catches my attention—its name feels Brazilian, yet somehow girly, matching my mood perfectly. As we chat, surrounded by the background sizzle of frying oil, our tacos arrive. The plating is simple, contrasting with the vibrant colors of the dish. Gringas Beef is the first to land on the table. A playful mix of bold flavors with a citrusy kick—unexpected yet intriguing. The balance of coriander, lime, and the tender beef creates an exciting contrast, like a melody with a surprising key change. 7/10—a touch more juiciness and spice would have elevated it. But the real reason for the 7? It wouldn’t be fair to the tacos we ordered next. Because, of course, we couldn’t stop at just two. We walked in for a quick bite and walked out as taco experts. Our second choice? Ancho Mushroom. A bold explosion of greens and purples. I loved the contrast of the raw mushrooms, the sweetness and crunch of the beetroot chip on top, all tied together by an avocado sauce. 9/10. And the last taco? No spoilers, but let’s just say we had to order a second round. It was the Buttermilk Chicken Taco, a recommendation straight from our waitress—whom we now trusted completely. The chicken was fried to perfection, with an almost sacred balance between spice, the crisp freshness of the slaw, and the tang of pickled red onions. Beautifully plated, once again. If you're looking for a flavorful trip with no strings attached, blending the spices of the East with the portions of the West, Wahaca is the perfect place. Xoxo, Critic Girl
