Fantastic food and the service was great.

A reliable restaurant when it comes to consistently good food or takeaway. The dishes are always well-prepared, flavourful, and satisfying. The atmosphere is welcoming and nicely suited for both casual and special occasions. The service could use a bit of improvement in terms of attentiveness and timing, but overall it’s a great place to dine. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

We celebrated my niece’s 30th birthday with a lovely family lunch at Izgara, and it was a great experience. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and our server, Iylas, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made sure everything went smoothly. The food was fresh and full of flavor, with the grilled meats and mezze being real highlights. A wonderful place for a family celebration. Highly recommend!

I celebrated my 60th BD at Izgara- all went really well! Was nervous but the manager and the staff helped me so much- to choose the right menu, drinks, gave us a lovely separate area, and even put music for my cake presentation:))! Excellent team- will look forward to seeing them again!

Filiz was absolutely amazing in making our birthday celebration a super duper hit! We had a lovely meal, she recommended how much to order it was just delicious and the right amount! Can’t ask for more!

Lovely evening celebrating friends joint birthdays. Very accommodating with all our requests. They allowed us to bring our own cupcakes for the birthday celebration. We ordered 2 sharing platters between 9 for £89each, it had cold starters, mains, 4 desserts and 4 hot drinks. There was so much food we had leftovers. Excellent food. Our waitress Hilal was superb at handling such a large party and she did it all with a smile.

Lunch menu is very good for price, service here at lunchtime is incredibly good, especially when coming closer to opening time as it is usually empty, Hilal served us extremely well

My partner and I have dined here a couple of times. We thought it would be the perfect venue to celebrate my partner’s son’s 30th birthday. As we had thought including our friends and family and of course the birthday man it was perfect. The staff were amazing serving 34 of us. Thank you so much to Halal and Memet your service was absolutely spot on. The food as usual was amazing and the ambience made it even more special. Thank you Nazim you have amazing staff and we all loved the evening.

Lovely service they really looked after us and it was so lovely to try all of the different Turkish dishes! Heela gave us great recommendations and was just so sweet and made it a nice experience for us. Tasty food and I’d recommend. Was a little bit quiet but it was a Tuesday night following a long Easter weekend so that makes sense because everyone has had a long day at work !!!

I’ve had a very pleasant experience at Izgara. I was looked after by Hilal she was very attentive, friendly and kind. We ordered the chicken shish and lamb shish which both were tasty, tender and perfectly cooked. The salad that accompanied was also fresh and delicious. Of course I was tempted by dessert and got the baklava which was amazing.

Had a lovely time at izgara - we didn’t like the first wine and they were kind enough to change the bottle. Lovely place, highly recommend it.

Nice ambience, friendly staff, good selection of vegetarian food, but it was overpriced. Every dish was around £20+. Served only with a small potion of plain white rice, no salad and not able to swap for fries. Didn't even offer any Turkish tea after meal.

We had a lovely experience at Izgara Northwood. Food was delicious. The service was excellent. Hilal the waitress was very helpful as were the two gentlemen who helped in between. The ambience was great. The only thing I would suggest is a better variety of desserts.

Great atmosphere, polite and friendly staff and great food. What more could you ask for? Portions were huge in comparison to the size of the appetite and if I could, I would finish their delicious food. Even the kids portion with chips was plentiful. What do I compare this to? Izgara, Hatch End! Which in comparison was awful (see my Hatch End reviews). Izgara, Northwood food was cooked really well with excellent flavours.

Second time eating here. We booked a table for 9, spent over £350 but was told we had to leave after 2hours as other customers were waiting for a table! Wow. The food is pricey and the restaurant is cramped as they’ve tired to maximise seating at the expense of customer comfort. Meat quality isn’t anything special - £120 for a sharing mixed platter with only a few pieces of chicken / lamb cubes and three chops. The white rice was dry and tasted stale. I asked if they can offer us complimentary tea, as is the norm in any Turkish restaurant, and as they’ve done in the past, but was told that Turkish tea had ‘run out’ despite seeing other customers drinking Turkish tea. I mean just say no sorry we can’t instead of an untruth. They only care about money and wanted us out ASAP so they could bring the next lot of paying customers in. I will not be coming back
