Good old fashioned "local" boozer

The weirdest experience ever. No choice of wines! Shocking for a pub. Food is not "fresh" mostly processed and overcooked. Thin gravy. Orders mixed up unsure if we were eating beef or lamb!? Says they stock local ales? Ordered an otter ale given doom bar. Was practically empty. Would not go here or recommend for Sunday lunch.

Had a few ales and a very tasty, reasonably priced cottage pie. Staff and clientele very friendly. Thoroughly recommend

visited a friend in Sidcup yesterday and popped into this pub by the off chance it did food. Really nice pub and food was nice and freshly cooked. Landlord was a gentleman and nice to meet an old school publican. Staff were polite and welcoming. Would be pleased to use this as my local if I lived in the area. Tom the steeplejack.

Great place where the local population talk about the latest madness that the other group who frequent the other local pub did the night before. In that pub, it was clean. Warm, the workers all very friendly and the food was was it says on the menu and the local even emailed and say I seeing a stranger coming in so if I go back there I will stop because it is a nice pub and it is nice to sit down somewhere you can sit and chill.

We had a nice Sunday evening there. Pub quiz was on.

Food was lovely and welcome from behind the bar was first class. I can't understand why I'd never been in before as I've lived locally but only ever driven past. It will certainly be on my 'go to' list now though. Food was very well presented, delicious and freshly prepared.

Great pub. Was here today watching Slough Town at Dartford. We did get beat but a few pints in here before the game and a few pints after the match made it more bearable. Great landlord and some brilliant punters made me feel very welcome.

It's a cute lil pub, the staff is friendly and the place is clean & nicely decorated. Prices are reasonable, good place if you want to have a conversation or chat with your friends or family

Have been there a few times The place is, to me, more of a locals pub however having said that they make you feel. Welcome Good selection of drink at reasonable prices I think they serve food but can't comment on quality as not tried any Place is reasonably clean and tidy if a little dated They have a beer garden There are more upmarket pubs in the area but this place is good for a drink if that's what you want They have a car park and plenty on road parking available I think they do a quiz night on Sundays but can't be certain this is still going Worth a visit

Friendly staff, always two or three well kept beers from independent breweries. Consistently good Doombar. Football on TV. Darts (live). Live music. Quiz nights. Quiet enough to talk too, on the right evenings. Lovely old school pub. A good choice of gins recently expanded along with a variety of complementary tonics. Jim, the landlord always tries to respond to customer demand

Staff were friendly, but the only lager i wanted was off and all the brasses were dusty and needed a clean
