My mom knows I wanted to eat here for a while now and she was away so she got someone she knows to get some for me without my knowledge it was a tastiest surprise 😋 it tasted amazing

Popped into this take out restaurant as we were visiting Ludlow and love Sushi. The lady here was really friendly and her customer service skills were lovely. She was very helpful and the food we bought was out of this world - really delicious. I wish we were staying in Ludlow for longer as I would have eaten here again and again. If you like sushi then this place is a must.

Was in Ludlow this weekend to visit some old university friends. Stumbled across this amazing little restaurant by accident after finding out the medieval festival was closed. The owner was extremely friendly and welcoming, we ended up speaking for 20 minutes about all things Japan. The menu was small (although this is temporarily I believe during covid), there were only a few items on the menu, however all of the dishes were beautifully presented. We tried the spicy tofu don, the sushi set and the bibimbap, which were all amazing. The bibimbap was an interesting Japanese take on a Korean dish and it was absolutely delicious, the aubergines were just incredible! Home cooked Japanese cooking at its best, and at a very reasonable price too. Went back for seconds a few days later. Will definitely visit again when I return to ludlow in the new year.

Popped in to buy some chopsticks for my Japanese-obsessed daughter and left with a gift of 3 lunch boxes! The delightful owner didn’t want to see the food wasted at the end of her day and it was so generous. We’d been due to eat at the cancelled fayre but with so many people looking for places to eat we were struggling to find anywhere. The lunch boxes were delicious. I don’t know what was on the aubergine but it was divine, it was all so good! Would love to go back for a proper meal, highly recommend.

I just happened upon Itadaki Zen while meandering around Ludlow. I shared a couple of maki boxes with my daughter and had a miso soup. The maki were delicious. They tasted extremely fresh. The woman working there was also charming and was delighted to find I was vegan. Everything is vegan friendly. If you know you’re going in advance reserve a bento box.

This is my favourite food…..ever! We have been vegan for 2 years, and it’s everything I ever wanted, I love everything she does, but the sushi takes some beating. Just wish she could teach me how to do it!

I ordered a spicy tofu don and miso soup to take away for lunch and it was absolutely delicious. The lady who served me was so lovely and we chatted while I waited for my food, which didn't take long at all. The prices were excellent too for how good the food is. Japanese food is my favourite and I am so glad I can get it so quickly and reasonably priced in my town. Definitely worth a visit if you want to try something different to what is already available in Ludlow. 100% recommend!

We were delighted to find this gem whilst visiting Ludlow today. We each had the sushi box and it was delightful! All vegan, with delicious, fresh sushi rolls and selection of pickles and sides. I could happily eat this every day for lunch. We had the warmest, friendliest greeting and service too.

Fantastic sushi and Japanese snacks for those wanting a bit of variety.in Ludlow. Very friendly staff and they also have an eat-in option when out of lockdown. Highly recommended!

One of the best places I have eaten! Such lovely food and amazing service, me and my friends visit frequently and enjoy it everytime. Even for a non vegan like myself the food is amazing!

Stumbled upon this place whilst exploring the area. Love Japanese food but am not vegan. Not much choice in Ludlow sadly.At the time, take away only. Inside was very small. Intimate. Craved a bit of nourishing bites and this place satisfied them. Everything tasted great and only because they offered their take on kimchi (yummy btw!) I didn’t miss salmon/tuna that day. Prices a tad on the higher end, quite close to being over-priced. Could be quality pricey ingredients, or covering rates or simply small portions. Worth a visit though.The lady seemed to be doing all jobs single-handedly. Be patient. Do not expect to get your order out quickly. Would I return? Yes, if in the area, to support a small independent, to have some vegan food and because the lady was so chatty.

Had wanted to try this restaurant before but it was never open when we were in Ludlow. Visited post lockdown and it was open for take away food so decided to have lunch from there rather than the usual sandwich. Had a sushi lunchbox plus kimichi Box and also tofu don box. The food was excellent- very tasty and felt very healthy. The lady behind the counter was also lovely to deal with - we had a chat about how to grow tomatoes! Will visit again next time I’m in Ludlow.

Excellent takeaway lunch! Home made, fresh, tasty and healthy, what more could you ask for! You will not miss the meat at all! I’m so pleased I stumbled across this wonderful little gem, I will definitely be back more more!

We came to Ludlow for family trip.When we were walking around suddenly my husband found Japanese restaurant and we know this restaurant from London.My stomach was very tired from eating creamy food every day during my visit so after I ate their veggie sushi and vegetable dish my stomach felt better again.Lady was so nice and kind.

Absolutely amazing sushi! We popped in for a takeout lunch yesterday and had a vegan bento box. Everything was delicious, authentically Japanese and more importantly vegan! Unfortunately we are only in the area on our holidays or I would be back every day!

Exquisite, intimate Japanese experience. The food is fresh, tasty and authentic and yet comes at a very modest price. The lady that runs this place is very attentive and polite, and we loved the simple decor and place settings, it was very zen. A calm place in the centre of Ludlow, try it if you fancy something a bit different.

New to Ludlow and happy there is a Japanese place. The lady who runs it, as previous reviews say, is very friendly and kind. It's obvious she genuinely cares about making her customers happy. The food was delicious and beautifully served. The prices are incredibly modest. I will certainly come back and tell my friends (vegan and otherwise) about it!

Visiting the area and found this restaurant on Happy Cow app.On arrival asked about gluten free options and chef was very knowledgable and double checked what I could have. Amazing food, amazing service. Tried selection of desserts they are bringing in and so delicious. The lady appeared to be waitress, chef and everything inbetween but did it so well and so friendly. Highly recommend, if ever in area again will definitely return

I have decided to write a review after having such an enjoyable experience at the restaurant. I visited with a friend last Saturday lunch time. The food was delicious and we really liked the atmosphere. We both had a small portion of ramen. I found the small to be very filling, and was very affordable. It was only at the end of the meal that I realised that the member of staff serving us was also the chef, running everything herself. Her service was excellent, despite being very busy. Her attentiveness and care over the taste and presentation of the food make this restaurant very special. It really brightened my day speaking to such a warm and friendly person. I look forward to visiting again when I next come to Ludlow!

I am not a friend of the owners and I have been before today. I will start with the MINOR flaws. The opening times that if you talk to the extremely nice lady is completely understandable. And the seating that isn’t uncomfortable but is limited, however worth a booking due to the following. The food was outstanding and for a vegan meal you forget the fact it’s vegan and just enjoys the quality food. The lady was so nice gave us free tea and was happy to talk to us. She takes on so much and works in a tiny kitchen but the pay off is huge. I will be coming again and spreading the word. Can’t say enough about this a perfect place. :-))

We have been wanting to eat here for some time and were not disappointed. Very calming atmosphere and we were charmed by the attentive service. It is a limited menu and seats maximum 8 people but food delicious and well worth a visit- authentic Japanese vegan food and we will be back!

Reading the others reviews, I am confused as to which place they have visited , as this little place is great for the area .... their Shrewsbury restaurant is equally serving gorgeous food ... as I was walking by and reading the menu, a couple inside told me that the food was fab... so tempted by the recommendation, I went in.Very limited menu... but so many restaurants are offering now large choice when they have no expertise ... the food is really tasty and great value for money... it is opened only at lunch time and only one person works there - there are about 4 tables so very intimate and the deco is fine ...I paid £5 for a fab ramen - you can’t beat this !!!!

Since the closure of Koo, this is now Ludlow's only Japanese eatery, albeit a somewhat limited one. They've finally re-opened after several months of being closed for a refit - and I'm glad to say that the plastic table covers which another reviewer hated so much have gone. It's no more spacious than it used to be, and the menu is now even more limited - hence downgrading by one star from my last review. If you like ramen noodles, you'll enjoy this, but that's really your only option. The kimchi side is delicious, and the sushi is also very good. The bamboo tea is yummy but very expensive.

Other reviews are either written by friends or I was in a completely different place! If you happen to catch it when its open, which is rare, then the seating is uncomfortable but if the food is great that's fine. The food isn't, flavourless and small portions. Yes I do eat Sushi and have for years so I know the portion sizes etc., but honestly don't bother. Chances are it'll be closed anyway but this particular restaurant jumping upon the vegan fad just isn't working.

This restaurant/tea room has been due to open in Ludlow for some time, with opening notices put up and just as quickly taken down. But the great day finally arrived and we called for lunch.The place is very small, limited covers, and fairly basic, but with a charm. Rather horrid clear polythene is on all the tables in lieu of table cloths (paper or other would be so much nicer).The menu is limited but very good. Miso soup was delicious, the bento boxes contained a good mix of sushi, the noodle dish wholesome and filling. Teas interesting although for my taste the ginger was too sweet and lukewarm.Service was very slow, (more waiting-see title) and needs to be sharpened up. The waitress, on her own, seemed to be head cook and bottle washer in addition, which was not fair on her.I hope they sharpen up their act, get rid of the polythene, to enable the rating to be improved from 2 to surroundings and service to 4 for food.Having said all of that we will return as we enjoyed the food, and hope the owners have noted customer feed back.

This tiny restaurant serves some of the most delicious food in Ludlow. It is authentically Japanese and totally vegan. The menu is limited, and so are the hours, but it is so worth seeking out this little gem. I've had and enjoyed the bento box, and also love the udon noodle set. The sasou tea is yummy!
