Lovely and cozy place with very attentive staff — both the lady and the gentleman who served us were fantastic. The tables and entire environment were spotless and smelled amazing. The food was incredible, and the outdoor seating was both private and inviting. Thank you!

We visited at lunch on a Monday and enjoyed the lunch menus. The chicken shish wrap was perfect! The service and food is five stars!

Dined 31/05/25 on a rare occasion where my partner and I can go out. (Kids) the food was great, arrived promptly and free extra nibbles like bread and olives. The atmosphere there is also so good, very clean and premium. We were served by the manager there who was a great host, such a great guy. We’ve been before on multiple occasions and looking forward to when we can come again

Best Turkish Restaurant in Nottingham. 10/10 for service and the atmosphere is laid back. The manager Ozzy was very helpful and friendly, taking interest and made excellent recommendations. The rest of the staff were tentitive aswell. Very clean and nicely decorated. Food is tasty, hot and good portions. Would recommend dining in or taking away.

Fantastic food and top notch service. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming and make you feel like one of the Family. We have had the fortunate opportunity to experiment with most of the menu and haven't been let down by any of it however I highly reccomend the sharing platter for a sample of all the incredible food they have to offer

For the best Turkish takeaway in Nottingham, Istanbul is the place. To take it to the limit on quality, service and atmophere, take a visit and see Ozzy. He'll make it the trip of a lifetime. Well recomended that you visit.

Istanbul is an absolute gem! The food is spot-on, the atmosphere is buzzing, and the staff make you feel right at home. The best part? One of the guys was dancing with us with pure joy, and you could tell he was having the time of his life. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay all night. Definitely worth a visit!

Loved it. We sat outside on a sunny afternoon. We ordered good mix of food to share and it was all excellent. The service was very attentive without making us feel rushed and we were never without a drink or something we needed for us or our baby. The staff were friendly. We will definitely return.

Serve low quality bad food, you will get poisoned from lamb shank 😷 Edit** This restaurant served shockingly low-quality and unsafe food. I unfortunately have a history with their poor standards; searching my order history, I discovered I had mistakenly ordered from them again. I now recall that a BBQ platter I ordered last year was also not well-made. Despite this previous bad experience, I ordered the lamb shank for my wife and myself. This time, it was disturbingly unfresh, poorly cooked, and the spices were unpleasant. Despite the high cost and my hunger, I ate some of it, leading to severe stomach issues, excessive gas, and vomiting twice. This was genuinely the worst lamb shank I have ever had, and I was ill for an entire week as a result. Beyond the terrible food, the customer service is also unacceptable, and it appears they resort to fake reviews to inflate their rating. Avoid this place at all costs – learn from my mistake, The invoice was uploaded after deleting some private information.

I Went there today with my Friend and Think I have food poisoning as soon as I got home I’ve none stopped throwing up and can’t keep any water down it’s a shame as the food did taste nice but clearly something wasn’t cooked right or something as left out my friend isn’t feeling to great either and was expensive aswell

Had a lovely lunch with my daughter, tables available straight away, clean and beautiful atmosphere all throughout. The food was absolutely amazing, we opted for a halloumi salad and cacik with warm bread which was both tasty and delicious, very moorish! Will definitely be coming back as the hospitality from ozzy was lovely and welcoming.

We have been here several times and highly recommend- especially the kunefe for desert!

The food is ok. If you eat red meat, this place will probably do it for you. Unlike myself who mainly eats white meat and fish. The atmosphere was 10/10 as we were allowed to play our own music and was able to reserve an entire room to ourselves. Would recommend 👌🏾

Had a sharing platter for 4 food arrived quite quickly and plenty of it - we ended up bringing some home! The restaurant was nice and clean and the staff we dealt with were all friendly and polite. Would recommend.

Visited here a couple of nights ago with family and couldn't fault it whatsoever!! From stepping inside, the service was excellent!! We were shown to our table by Ozzy the manager, who then gave advice and recommendations for the food and any questions we had. The food was excellent, tasty and perfect portion sizes. 100% best turkish restaurant in Nottingham! Decoration, cleanliness and atmosphere were faultless. We will absolutely be back again. I have never written a review of a restaurant before but after our visit to Istanbul today felt that I simply had to share our experience. We went for lunch on a beautiful sunny day and were warmly greeted by Ozzy who said we could sit anywhere. We decided to sit outside at the rear of the restaurant and Ozzy immediately asked if we wanted the awning to be closed so that we could relax in some shade. Two minutes later I was nursing a cold Efes and my wife was sipping on an ice-cold Coke Zero. Ozzy (real name Okesh - although I may not have got the spelling 100% correct!) was a perfect host guiding us through the menu and answering every question we had regarding the different dishes. We settled on the Hot Mix starter which is a sharing platter featuring zigara boregi ( a pastry filled with feta cheese and parsley, halloumi, felafel, calamari and sojuk (spicy Turkish sausage). Every bite was delicious and the side dips and hummus all added something slightly different to each bite. The bread was light and delightfully chewy and my wife said the olives were heavenly. For mains I went for the Chicken Anatolia, chicken with mushrooms, garlic and pepper served on rice with a cheesy, creamy garlic sauce. The chicken was tender and moist and the sauce bursting with flavour. My wife decided on the Lamb Moussaka which she said was lovely and light. She particularly enjoyed that it came with rice and bulgur wheat which she said she would never have thought to put together (she is an accomplished cook herself) but which worked very well together. Moving on to dessert, I plumped for the Sutlac - a Turkish rice pudding which was wonderfully chilled and clean-tasting after the flavour-packed main course and my wife chose the baklava. We're a couple who share tastes of each other's choices and I can honestly say that the baklava was fantastic! Very sweet but without it being an overpowering sickly sweetness. It was simply delicious! We shared a glass of raki, having never tried it before, which left a burning trail down the middle of my chest and cleared my sinuses very effectively! Then, having decided to go the full 9 yards, we finished with Turkish coffee - very strong and served in beautiful little cups not much bigger than a large thimble. Well, we thought we were finished, but Ozzy brought us complimentary cups of Turkish tea which cleansed our palates perfectly. The restaurant was not busy (as one would expect at 12h20 on a Tuesday) which meant the calm, quiet atmosphere suited us perfectly. A special mention for Ozzy who was friendly, informative and charmingly attentive throughout our visit. We had a great time and the only reason I gave it 5 stars was because I couldn't give it more!

Saksouka (vegetable dish) tasted like it had gone off! Ive have it before but unfortunately on this occasion one bite tasted potent. Had a very acidic/fizzy taste to it which scared me, I won’t order from here again. Threw it in the bin, waste of £10 since i ordered two portions!

Really nice staff, great food and prices. Last time we went we had a tea after the meal and they didn’t put it on the bill which was really sweet. We’ve been a few times now and would defo come back.
