We dined from the lunch menu . All top quality. No point in carrying on. Let’s just say excellent in all respects, food, service and atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

Well what an amazing night we had at the Adele Tribute Night. Out with friends, we had such a great night. We were well looked after by Sarah and her team as soon as we arrived. Food was outstanding and the wine flowed well. The tribute act was incredible and we were all up dancing. We had such an amazing time and we can’t wait to book the next tribute night. Thanks again to Sarah and the team.

We've visited Isabel's twice over the past 6 months. Once for our wedding anniversary, another for my 30th birthday. Both times the food and service has been nothing short of exceptional. A true gem in Poole.

We went to Isabel's Brasserie for my birthday and I honestly couldn't have asked for anything more. Everything was perfect from the moment we stepped in to the moment we left. We were looked after by Olivia and Anita who were both so helpful, attentive and lovely, the setting was comfortable, aesthetically pleasing and nicely lit. We both had a steak for our mains, which was perfection. The food and cocktails were incredible, the drinks waiter there made us feel so welcome. All in all, an amazing experience all round and we both look forward to going back very soon.

We have had several meals at this restaurant and they have all been outstanding. We love the atmosphere and the service which is friendly, professional and thoughtful and the food is always exceptional. We would thoroughly recommend this restaurant and it is has quickly become our go-to place to eat and treat ourselves. Outstanding!

We've been lucky enough to go twice for lunch in January, once for a fabulous mid week lunch. We had the Table d'hote menu which is excellent value with some delicious choices. As usual the Souffle was amazing as was the bouillabaisse and pork belly. We love the sides that come will the mains, really fresh tasting vegetables, cooked perfectly and the creamed celeriac is something a bit different and delicious. I don't know how, but we also managed to fit in Crème Brulee for desert, which was fantastic and the best in the area. Our next visit was on a Saturday and we both ate the same things as last time but from the a la carte menu. Everything was excellent again. The service on both occasions was, as always, spot on, a huge thank you to Anita who always makes our visit to Isabel's special. See you again soon!

This was our second visit to Isabel's, having had such an enjoyable experience the first time. This outing did not disappoint either. We were well looked after by Anita and once again experienced delicious cuisine from the chef. The atmosphere is cosy and intimate with staff who are attentive to detail and keen to serve. The table d'Hote menu offers a lovely midweek option, along with the broader à la carte menu. We very much look forward to visiting again and are delighted this restaurant is our local!

Isabella’s was absolutely AMAZING! The service was impeccable and truly made the entire evening special; warm, attentive, and full of personality by Evie. As for the food, it was out of this world! Every dish was cooked to perfection, and the portions were incredibly generous. The fillet steak, in particular, was the best I’ve had in my 45 years; tender, flavourful, and just melting in the mouth. We couldn’t fault a single thing. We’ll definitely be back, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this gem to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience. 5/5!

I was taken there as a birthday treat by my daughter and wife. The food and attention of detail was second to none. All the staff were excellent. Many thanks to Isabels for making it an extra special birthday present.

My girlfriends and I make a point of booking this restaurant when in Poole. We're always blown away by the super attentive, friendly service and the amazing food. Definitely our favourite restaurant in the area.

Lovely atmosphere and a real buzz about the place. Food was fantastic and the service was top notch. Will be revisiting soon to make my way through the menu. The set menu they offer is fantastic value and excellent quality food.

The food was good, but not fabulous. Souffle was light & fluffy, the Fillet Mignon was a flat piece of meat, not what I was expecting, ginger sponge was nice, should have been hot (we were told after) but was only warm. There were 10 in our party, most were happy(ish) with their meals, but don't think we will visit again. The service was OK, but the organisation sadly was lacking.

Having driven past this place for some time as Christmas was approaching I decided to book for me and my colleagues for our Christmas outing. Having read the menu I was pretty confident that all of the food from reading sounded delightful. On the night from entry towards the bar we were warmly met by the bar staff. Another member from front of house, took us to our table and from then on the service towards our large party was impeccable. The food was beyond expectations, not only presented well but everything down to the steak was cooked to perfection. Portion sizes were generous as well. I can't wait to come back for another meal. My food was from the Christmas menus so whilst I can vouch for his taste it obviously won't be on the menu the test of the year but from right to left Ham terrine, Traditional Roast Turkey and a lemon Posset.

It was good overall. We felt the parsnip purée wasn’t as creamy as the previous years we’ve come. Usually it is very creamy and smooth. Also the main mushroom pasta wasn’t as creamy or tasty either. The French onion soup and the crème brûlée were extremely nice though. Seriously good. Just wish the main was a bit better.

First time eating and drinking at the new location. Wonderful modern french chic decor. Very cosy vibe. Great selection of wines. Perfect hosts and terrific french/Anglo inspired menu. Will definitely be back for more.

On arrival I was greeted at the bar and seated quickly , I asked for a different table, as wanted to be seated near to the singer, they moved us to a closer table with a smile. The food and drinks order was taken and delivered quickly . We were delighted with the food , I had veggie roast and my 24 year old son had the Beef . OH MY GOODNESS Food coma !! so delicious, we forced ourselves to have a creme Brûlée for pudding which was the best I have ever had !! We had two coffees and then left . We will be back , so friendly so delicious , Thankyou

Excellent Saturday lunch, we had a good selection of dishes, mussels, melon, onion soup, lamb rump, hake and sea bass, and all very pleased with their choice! Noticed GF, DF and numerous vegetarian options, all sounding just as delicious Ginger toffee pudding was just to die for, we somehow managed to roll out the door 😅

I booked Isabel's to celebrate an anniversary. We were presented with complimentary canapes, which was a lovely gesture, however one of the canapes was so disgusting that I almost chocked trying to eat it. I queried the canape and after the waitress having tried it herself, we were then advised the ingredients used were actually out of date! Our main courses were wrong, so one of us sat eating whilst the other had to wait. The food that did eventually arrive was not particularly good. The pork loin was tough. We were presented with 4 side dishes to accompany our main meal, of which 3 were potato based (mash, chip and dauphinoise potatoes) and only 1 had vegetables. Why???? The dessert was really lovely, chocolate brownie and marmalade ice cream. The overall setting is superb and the interior décor very tastefully done. The service is muddled, and whilst the staff are extremely friendly, there appears to be disorganisation and confusion at times. The bill came to £107. There was no discount for giving us out of date food or for us having to eat separately, which was surprising. Sadly we will not be returning to Isabel's, nor will we be recommending this restaurant. So the same money, we could have dined at The Pig or The Ivy, and had a far better experience.

We went to this restaurant for a birthday dinner, and it couldn't have been a better choice! Everything was absolutely perfect. From starters to desserts, every dish was delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and full of flavor. The drinks were also outstanding, perfectly complementing our meal. The service was impeccable: the staff were incredibly polite, attentive, and friendly, making the experience even more special. Without a doubt, this place deserves a **10/10**. We will definitely be back!

The 2 or 3 course set Sunday lunch menu is good value for money for the quality and quantity of food. We were a large table of 12. All of us agreed it was the best Sunday lunch we had out for a long time and we will certainly return. The live music was fun and created a great atmosphere.

Had a great experience at Isabels restaurant on Saturday night. Firstly because of a disability I cannot get behind a fixed bench style table.The staff went out of their way to find an alternative for us and it was done with grace and a high level of customer satisfaction. The food was awesome, two of us opted for the cheese soufflé starter and one had mussels......they were all hot, tasty and beautifully presented. For mains we opted for a steak, pork belly and a bouillabaisse. It was all lovely, the vegetables and potatoes were also beautiful with six choice BUT in my opinion they served too much, half the amount and the option to request more if required would be much better. We could do desert, they had stuffed us with the first two courses. It was a great visit and we would certainly do it again

Isabel's is a wonderful restaurant and one of our absolute favourites. The staff are attentive but not intrusive. They are knowledgeable and friendly. The ambience is relaxed, intimate, and beautiful. Perfect for a romantic meal, meeting up with friends or family. As for the menu; you can rest assured that whatever you choose, you will not he disappointed. The food is exquisite and beautifully presented. A veritable treasure of dining excellence.

The fish dishes are very delicate. Make sure you eat and drink very subtle flavours with all the fish dishes.

Wines from Alsace and food pairing evening. Absolutely fantastic evening, every single course had amazing food which our party of three thoroughly enjoyed. We have been to quite a few of these evenings and as usual it didn't disappoint... Sarah and Justin and their team are the most fabulous hosts ( and Phillip and Adam the wine experts). Just had the best Sunday lunch in ages (22 sept 2024), the beef was excellent. The admosphere good and good service, attentive, very friendly.

The food was delicious and the staff were great.

The whole experience was disappointing. To start with, our table was at the back of the restaurant near the toilets so not the best spot. However, the most disappointing of all was the food. We ate a 3 course dinner each and I was not blown away by any of the dishes we ordered (despite the high price of such dishes). The mains were especially unsatisfactory. Both our meat dishes were very dry and the ingredients (side dishes included) seemed to have been cooked the previous days and reheated. I did not say anything at the time because it was my birthday present, my boyfriend was paying for it and I did not want him to feel bad he was paying £200 for a meal I was not enjoying. I was very looking forward to coming to this restaurant but after this experience, I don't think I will be going back.

We had been recommended this restraurant by very good friends. It did not disappoint in any way. Great atmosphere, lovely staff and really good food. Gracie, our waitress was delightful, going to extra mile for my ice cream fad. Good value too, 20% discount on fixed price menu. We also chose a bottle of Marlborough Sauvignon blanc, which was superb. Recommended.

Burlesque night, what an absolute joy. Entertainment was brilliant, and food was as good as ever. Well worth the money. We will tell everyone about this night for many a time.

I have given an 'average' score as the staff were pleasant and attentive and it was a busy evening. Almost impossible to hear what people at our table were saying due to the music (which was turned down after a while). The food, though was disappointing and, in my estimation, overpriced. A small dish of practically raw vegetables accompanied our various main meals and a meagre portion of chips.

I cannot thank Isabelle’s and Sarah (owner/manager) enough. It was my dad’s 80th birthday and I couldn’t be there as I live half way around the world, so I’d called up in advance to see if I could pay for the meal as a surprise. I just thought it would be my credit card at the end with the bill, but Sarah suggested that she write a gift card from me, and she’d give it to them at the beginning of the meal. I dictated a message and Sarah made it all happen tonight. By giving it at the beginning they knew they could “push the boat out” as it was all paid for. My dad was so overcome with emotion that he couldn’t even call me to thank me (my mom texted me!) and it was such a nice surprise for him, made even nicer as they said Sarah was so kind. He’s just sent me a email so I’m sharing his actual review. “Just had a most remarkable evening. We had heard how good this place was but never been. From the moment we went in we were made to feel special, not over the top but a genuine caring approach to customers. We started with exquisite cocktails and chose a bottle of Rose to go with our two courses. The food was presented and cooked to perfection but at our age could not do justice to the quality or quantity provided. It was as your mum said our best meal out ever, some statement.”

Food and service excellent. Nice selection of wines. Not a big fan of the wooden seater booths, preferred sitting in open space but that’s only my preference. Everything was great.

Absolutely amazing meal, such efficient staff, presentation of courses is fabulous, and all perfectly cooked, delicious and some things on the menu that you don't see often such as lemon posset. Great atmosphere so warm and welcoming, definitely be returning again so can highly recommend

This is mine and my partners favourite restaurant. Everything is always so good. The menu changes so it feels fresh, the service feels really personal and the food......we've never had a bad meal. Highly recommend to anyone.

Lunch at Isabel's. Friendly welcome on arrival. The restaurant is very comfortable. The food is delicious and well presented and the staff are friendly and attentive. Great, extensive drink choice. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience and extremely good value. We will definitely visit again for lunch and evening dining.

I love Isabel’s! I’ve been to this restaurant many times and always amazing food, with a special atmosphere and brilliant service. Can definitely recommend!

It claims to be a Fine Dining French Restaurant. It would appear that they have no idea what they are like in France whereas we do. The waitresses made a series of gaffs throughout the evening which was not encouraging. Bread is charged for, not included and brought automatically. The main courses come without any vegetables, they are extra. Although there is a choice of vegetable this was not brought to our notice, we were unable to make a choice. Certainly not to high enough standard to be worth travelling 10 miles each way to visit.

I have been wanting to come to Isabel’s for a very long time, as it had reopened close to me! Me and my partner got the chateabriand and it was cooked to perfection 👌. The sides it came with were dauphinois potatoes, celeriac mash, fries and seasonal veg it was really delicious however I feel the veg could have been better seasoned. Although it says it comes with desert we opted for a cheese board as we are savoury people the cheese was delicious (when is it not!😂). The 2019 Malbec that was pared went very well if you are a red drinker. As as a nightcap I went for an espresso martini and it was really lovely and chilled very well. The service was really great and not over the top. Overall a really lovely meal for a special occasion. We will most definitely be back. 9.5/10

We were very impressed with the food and the service at Isabel's Brasserie. Lovely menu with more choices than usual for a vegetarian and a great selection for meat eaters. I have some food allergies and the staff took pains to ensure that I chose a meal which would be safe for me. Thank you Georgie and the chef!

Restaurant described as modern French but couldn't help feeling it was anything but. Decor seemed very dated and dark. Whole place lacked atmosphere, no vibe French or otherwise, which is a pity as its a good sized venue. Food was well presented and tasty - went for 2 course menu - portions very generous so no room for dessert. Had hoped to have crepes suzette but glad I resisted as saw it served to someone else as it was a meal in itself!! Service attentive and desperate to please but they're let down by the lack of ambiance and outdated portion sizes. Needs updating in every respect. Sorry.

Food was fantastic. Well presented as well as very tasty. The staff very well presented and professional, but not to the point of feeling stiff. They were very warm and charming. The staff were worried we would be cold so put on extra heaters (I felt the temperature was pleasant but I appreciate the attention they paid) The restaurant itself felt very stylish but also cosy. No service charge was automatically added (but is for groups of 6+ apparently) which I appreciated. I don't mind tipping for good service and happily did, but resent the assumption from many higher end restaurants that it's okay to add an optional charge to the bill by default.

The food was excellent but to be honest if they want to compete at that price point they need to improve the service. Young waiting staff leaning right over the table to clear and serve. You don't lean over tables, you walk around. They took away the knives as the men were having steaks but eventually we had to go and ask for steak knives as they didn't turn up. Same for dessert spoons. The water we requested didn't turn up either. Basically having to continuously ask for everything more than once. Also it was freezing in there. Shame as the food was lovely. but you need to train your staff properly and crank up the heating.

My first anniversary was well spent at Isabel’s, this establishment lives up to the reputation and it was a fine recommendation by a colleague of mine. The steaks were prepared to perfection and I can confidently say, their steaks are amongst the best in Dorset. The ambience is warm, welcoming and the service is simply superb. I want to give a big shoutout to Pietro and Danielle for taking good care of us and making our special day really special.

I visited with a group 15 people that included family and friends for my 60th birthday party. Before the evening I met with Sarah who helped me plan the evening to ensure everything was perfect. We started the evening by having cocktails which everyone in the group said were the best they've ever had and I will definitely be going back again as there are so many to choose from. Well done to the cocktail maker who made everyone to perfection and had the task of doing 15 one after the other. The food could not be faulted with the starters, mains and desserts not only being absolutely delicious but with such generous portions. Everyone in the group thoroughly enjoyed the flavours and choices they had made. All those who had the steak including myself had never had such great steak which was cooked to each individuals requirement. A friend who had the lamb could not believe how beautiful it was cooked. A shout out must also go to the curry dish as a few people in the group had this and all agreed that the flavours and taste again were beyond expectations. I had the cheeseboard and again the quality, choice of cheeses and quantity was amazing. It seems unfair just to single out a few of the dishes that people had, but this would be more of an essay if I did. Since the evening I'm still getting messages from family and friends to say that they had the most amazing evening and that Isabel's is the best restaurant experience that they've ever had. A number travelled some distance and their only regret is that they don't live closer as they'd be coming here frequently. Sarah and the team were amazing in every way and ensured that everyone had food and drink at the same time, but also without noticing their presence. Totally a smooth operation especially dealing with such a big group. I will certainly be going back and feel privileged to have such a great restaurant locally and I wish everyone involved in Isabel's every success as they truly deserve it. Thank you

The food style is a formal yet relaxed 'Escoffier style' French/English affair, with plenty of flavour; butter, cream, seasoning, and garnishes are all absolutely on point. To all the chefs, staff, and owner/manager, what a truly top experience and consistent level of high standards you have here. Long may your legacy of fine food continue. Truly wonderful. :)

I was very excited to come here heard amazing things about this restaurant. We was served by a lovely women but she seemed like she wasn’t happy and that the other members of staff was quite rude to her the food overall was very basic in my opinion

Excellent meal, fine service, good company. One of the best meals I have had for some time. Food quality and presentation was good, complimented by efficient and pleasant service. This is a restaurant I will happily visit again.

Just had a wonderful 3 course meal with bottles of wine and cocktails. The food was incredible quality and generously portioned for such a high-end yet so reasonably priced meal. The service was brilliant- knowledgeable and friendly, with great banter too. The best dining experience that I've had in the area for a long time. We'll be firm regulars and have already booked for Xmas day off the back of this experience in Feb. Can't recommend enough! Thanks Sarah and team for our lovely evening.

Roast dinners are never as good out as what you you can do from home but we were hoping for something special after having two amazing birthday celebrations before at Isabel’s, you certainly didn’t disappoint, the cauliflower cheese was the best we have tasted, so many places don’t bother with this but to me it’s not a roast without it. Belly pork was very tasty along with all the trimmings, service was excellent as always we will definitely be back, again and again and again. Thank you.

I wanted somewhere super special as a treat for a work colleague and Isabel’s was exactly what I was looking for! The staff are so warm and welcoming and the restaurant is incredibly chic but also cosy. We went for the 2 course lunchtime table d’hôte menu which was delicious and the highlight is definitely the enormous side dishes of veg; fries, dauphinois potatoes, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower and the most delicious parsnip mash (I’d return just for the mash!) Absolutely sublime - and I have to say extremely reasonably priced for such high end food and service. Thank you Isabel’s for making it as special as we had hoped 👏🤩🙏

I wanted somewhere super special as a treat for a work colleague and Isabel’s was exactly what I was looking for! The staff are so warm and welcoming and the restaurant is incredibly chic but also cosy. What a great place to dine! The food was amazing. The customer service superb. Special Thanks to Sarah who managed to get us a table at the busiest time and also to the best waiter Pietro (grazie mille from Ayla and Tim). Defo recommend Isabel brasserie to everyone. If you want to have have amazing food and cosy atmosphere this is the place to go! Thank you guys, will see you soon!

There was much to enjoy when we dined here recently. Firstly we found our choices were included in the table d’hote menu at an exceptional £29.95. Secondly, some were outstanding in taste and quality. The cheese soufflé was lovely with a vibrant cheddar sauce. The Isabel’s bouillabaisse had a delicious bisque with well cooked fish, mussels and cockles. The rouille was rich with garlic - excellent. The ginger dessert was delicious too. But the vegetables which accompany the meal were too much. Really good fries were fine but then came dishes of dauphinois potatoes, puréed parsnips plus cauliflower and broccoli. Didn’t go with the bouillabaisse at all and our table struggled to accommodate all the dishes. My cheese plate continued the same theme - a reasonable quantity of good cheese but overcome with lots of biscuits, butter, grapes, cherry tomatoes, celery and chutney. Nearly a ploughman’s! I have a good appetite but less is sometimes more! Hasn’t put us off though. It’s still a good restaurant with good service and we will happily visit again. But just a bit more finesse would have brought five stars.
