Excellent food , really hot when delivered. Delivery early but not a problem. The fish is excellent value and the chips were very tasty as were the peas.

Sometimes great food. This time just ok, fish could stay longer for frying a minute or so. :D still recommended

All food was stone cold when delivered

Very slow service, large chips were small to medium, everything was too greasy. Bread roll was stale, ordered two but only got one. Didn’t find the staff very friendly. Won’t be going back.

Payed £11.00 for kebab meat and chips kebab meat u could see through and chips supposed to be freshly cooked and whole meal was cold will not be going again High price Rubbish Food.

Brilliant fast delivery unfortunately the food was cold and we received a small curry sauce not large (not a big issue also). However out of the 2 regular chips we couldn’t eat nearly half of them due to them being bad potatoes (black) so disappointed as we love irchester fish bar usually

Staff are always smiling, friendly, speedy and knowledgeable. The cafe/fish bar has had a super refurbishment and is bright&cheerful with clear signage. Super food, added in the past 2years, for vegetarian customers eg The Combo, which is garlic mushrooms, Halloumi sticks, onion rings, chilli jam&chips with good portion size, all for just £7. We had a handful of chips. Wouldn't class that as a large portion.

Ordered a mixed kebab from here and what a mistake. £8.20 for the joy of the kebab meat being cooked in a microwave. The meat its self was bland and relied on alot of sauce to give it flavour. The bread of which was a Greek flat bread was ok. In honest truth save your self £7.20 and go buy a microwave kebab from b and m as it’s better plus the portion size is the same.

Food as greasy as should be ! Piping hot after delivery to Wellingborough! Definitely will order again. Fish, chips, mushy peas very good. But onion rings are unreal!! Great job to restaurant!

I gave 1 star but 2 popped up. Bland and very greasy. I can't say I'll recommend thier fish or onion rings I hadn't ordered chips on this occasion.

Loukinos sausage very tasty but not enough salad. Gyros are nice but again no salad and 4 chips inside. Bread is lovely, enjoyed them but would prefer salad inside them

Perfect food, very friendly service

Ordered a simple fish chips pineapple ring and batter bits. Took 35 minutes! Got them home and the batter bits were on a plastic tray that had melted and disintrigated into the batter bits! Taste of fish bland Taste of chips awful and too many of them Batter bits full of plastic Pineapple ring ok Outcome Been two years since I last ate at this chip shop, will never use them again after this and the charge for this atrocity - £11.30

New owners are very nice & helpful & they can cook a good bit of cod!Ready good meal deal too!!

Went there got mixed kebab and the Donna wasn't cooked I asked for salad and all I got was Lettish and the smallest kebab in Wellingborough. And it took half an hour to cook what has thi village come to

Not usual staff and definitely not usual standard of food. Bones found in the children’s cod bites, haddock and cod very dry and tasteless shame because we usually like their food 😔

Its ok. Not cheap, not friendly, but ok. Cans of drink are not cold, but chips were excellent.

Nice food,not greasy and good portions

Fish was perfectly cooked to order and the small portion of chips was enough to feed 3 people. Friendly staff and was clean and tidy. Will definitely be going back there

The worst fish and chips I had, couldn’t finish it and threw it away.

Awful. Nothing was cooked, not much on offer so I just bought chips. Got home and it's full of hair. Found two thick black hairs in one portion of chips. Whole thing went in the bin. Never again - dirty.

It was good friday so took over and a hour for delivery but i think thats to be expected. The food was really nice. The fish portions were huge we ordered small and large and the small portions were big so you can only imagine the size of the large. The chips were fresh they didnt feel overly greasy or deep fried but were really nice. We would definitely order from here again

I have used this chip shop for some time now since i was young a good few years it was really great the food was fantastic just latley the food has been very poor no taste in the chips seems very dry and off it has gone down hill big time

The food was good as always but have to lower the star rate as the driver didnt have any change so was just a couple of quid so said to keep the change but after he had left realised I didnt have my 2 cans of coke so the tip ended up a lot bigger than I first thought.

Drink missing due to confusion with ordering a combo meal from the site and qhen checking the no salad box it took my drink off for some reason, this needs addressing. Food not amazing just ok.

The best fish and chips, we've ever had. Kids enjoyed sausage and salad, gravy was good but the curry sauce was the best. Definitely going back in the future. The service was excellent. 100% all around

What a shame, first time I have been disappointed with the food, it was cold, the order was wrong, I ordered 2 potions of chips just got 1. They have increased the minimum order and the delivery charge

Unfortunately the delivery person couldn’t find our house so the food was warm when it arrived. The fish was nice, if a bit cool but the chips were not so nice.

Ordered twice both times delivery so late nearly cancelled!!

Fish was very dry, it was overcooked, or perhaps it continued cooking in transit as it was packed in a plastic bag. Everything else was nice.

Kebab sure not nice at all and the chips were average

I ordered a large cod as it is the only fish I like, I am in doubt that it was actually cod that I got , fish was so thin and it was really over cooked, extremely dry inside and batter quite dark, could not eat it so it went down waste disposal, on saying that my husband’s haddock was huge and he said it was ok apart from the dark batter, my chips were lovely. I don’t usually give a review unless it is a good one but so disappointed as was to be my last takeaway before diet and I wanted it to be fish and chips, we have had takeaway from yourselves before and was very pleased with it then.

Absolutely shocking when I ordered it stated 30-45 minute wait I received my food 1 hour and 15 minutes later when I called the shop I was spoken to very rudely

Not been here for a very long time. I had battered sausage and chips plus a small bottle of coke. Chips needed longer in the frier but not bad. The batter on the sausage was very greasy. Worst thing was the Coke - £1.90 for 500ml!! Every business has to make a profit but that's a rip off.

Very disappointed with tonight meal, chips undercooked Haddock thin n batter very watery and mushy peas yuk, previous owners were excellent with cooking and service. As a regular customer I won't b visiting again !

I have previously recommended the fish and chips from Irchester Fish Bar as the quality was excellent. It has been a few weeks since my last visit but this time I was disappointed. After a 30 minute wait which, is unusual, the fish that has always been exceptional in the past was dry and chewy and the chips were not as good as before.

My favourite place to buy fish and chips. The chips taste amazing. Never tastes like stale oil. Fantastic service with these guys. Very highly recommended

Got to time your visit with fresh oil in chipper.

Food is good and service friendly, but you often have a bit of a wait so it's well worth ringing and placing order jn advance

Ordered cod and chips and a pineapple fritter. Had to wait whilst cooked to order which is fine however when mine arrived the order was incorrect and I was given 2 portions of chips and a pineapple fritter! Couldn't wait for the order to be corrected but waste of money and food. My first visit and not going to rush back.

Worst chippy around always mess the order up and food always cold, your better of getting a ready meal

Second time I’ve ordered a kebab roll and got a kebab in a pita, the first delivery was over 2 hours, food is always good quality wise but service is poor if they can’t get an order right

Love their food. I usually get kebab meat in a tray with chips but really fancied fish and chips. Hot, tasty and crispy batter. Awesome.

Fish was dry / overcooked and therefore chewy. Chips were ok as was the kebab.
