Prebooked and arrived on time. Was given menus, ordered a bottle of wine and then after 20 minutes was told there was only a quarter of the menu available. All our main course choices were unavailable. Very disappointed and left to search out alternatives. Only positive the manager did give us the wine we had already poured as complimentary. Warning to others, ASK ON ARRIVAL IF ANYTHING ON THE MENU IS UNAVAILABLE.

There are often times one longs for that perfect dining experience. Such was that tonight. I was drawn to the restaurant as Chef Ram garnered an impressive portfolio working with the likes of Gordan Ramsay and Alan Ducasse. First impression when I walked through the doors were a stylish and modern sophistication with an ambience to match. The service was IMPECCABLE! Attention to detail, courteous, menu knowledge and very personable. If the setting scene is not inviting enough, the food will blow you over. The amuse bouche tickled the taste buds and began out culinary adventure. The bbq starter was interactive and kept our attention through its aromatic smells. We gobbled that in no time! The palate cleanser was a welcomed and thoughtful addition to this experience. The main was equally brilliant and left our bellies in better state than we imagined. Food apart, it's a restaurant where you do more than just eat. You dine. Indeed, it's a culinary experience that has left us as repeat customers. Chef Ram and his team finally brought that longing of a quintessential surprise back to dining. Well done! You should be proud. 5 stars is not merely enough

My wife and I went to Intercontinental Brassiere for the first time last night, having had a takeaway a few times before. The food we've had delivered has always been amazing and this is surpassed when eating in the restaurant. The service was outstanding and there were some delicious little surprises between courses. We can't wait to go back!

Me and my partner came here two months ago (apologies for the late review) and had an excellent time! The food was sublime. The flavours were exquisite and the built-in table barbecue was such a nice feature to have! The restaurant was also very clean and well presented. From the moment we walked in, we felt like VIP's. Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and courteous and have gone gone above and beyond to make sure we were having a good experience. Thank you so much to the staff for making this a memorable visit. Again, I apologise for such a late review. We greatly look forward to coming back very soon :)

OUTSTANDING RESTAURANT ALERT - INTERCONTINENTAL BRASSERIE IN TWICKENHAM. I decided to let my husband come with on my latest find. He was up for an outing, we’d go early and make a day of it. My find was the Intercontinental Brasserie in Twickenham - a British, French, Indian and Thai eatery with the chef Ram Jalustram at the helm. It wasn’t an easy sell as he only heard the word “Indian” which he’s not keen on, but I read out the other dishes like lemon sole meunier in a caper butter sauce and sea bream tempura and he was all “yes, yes, fine, book it if you want to”. The day arrived and there was no “day out” as the weather was awful. We were both grumpy and I had a go at him when he put a shirt on that I was really sick of. I missed my footing putting both feet into one trouser leg and it served me right. The mood didn’t improve on the journey as everybody apart from Tony drives so badly and we argued about arguing, me reminding him that the week after Ethan’s bris was one of our worst ever. However, we easily found parking in a nearby car park which had a zip car point, an electric car charging point and electric scooters. It was also free after 5 pm. The table was booked for 7pm, hardly a hardship and we decided to see if they were open at 6.15 as it was not much fun walking around in the rain and we both needed to wee. From the second we walked in and were greeted politely and warmly, the mood lifted. The restaurant was beautifully light and the decor tasteful. When I got back from the loo, Tony had taken it upon himself to order pappadoms. Party animal he is. They were served with lovely dips in gorgeous crockery and this level of excellence continued until the very second we left the establishment and the waiter opened the door for us. Tony had previously grumped that he hoped there would be a physical menu and we wouldn’t have to scroll through on our phone and we were both delighted to receive a large clear menu. I’d already swotted up on line though and sailed in with an “um, I’ll have a Sex on the Beach” please. He partied on with a mojito and when they arrived they were more home made than mixologist but they weren’t tight with the alcohol, so I didn’t complain. Tony tasted my cocktail and I sent a photo saying “Dad having Sex on the Beach” to Ethan. It was ignored. So there I was with my non Indian food loving husband and after we decided to share the sea bream tempura and the mix vegetable Momo dumpling, he said he thought he’d have the wild mushroom dum biryani for his main. Pardon? I thought you’d go for the whole sea bass with coconut rice, I bleated. Well, that threw me, I wanted to try something other than Indian, but I couldn’t have him eating it and me not. I’m not usually a lover of fish curry, but I’d read the reviews and I reckoned that if anyone could do a good one, it would be Ram. Halibut is a fish I really like, but you can’t get it from Sainsbury’s and Tesco’s so I decided to give it a whirl here. The evening just got better and better. As if discussing if the log effect wall covering was real wasn’t exciting enough, the waiter brought as a selection of amuse bouches for our delectation. Sadly there were some lamb bites in there so it had to be sent back, but when the platter returned they were replaced by chunks of paneer rather than just omitted. The fun item was a pani puri. This is a crispy shell with veg inside served in a shot glass, the contents of which you pour into the shell and scoff. See photo. One of the restaurant’s features is that it has an individual sunken barbecue in each table. This would be amazing for meat eaters, but our salmon request was fulfilled. Three pieces of succulent marinated fish came wrapped in tinfoil and were placed on the spotless grill. My very own Bear Grylls loved it, marvelling at the charcoal and gas combo together with the tasteful extractor mechanism that is pulled down over the table. The fish came with some dips, one of which was a blue cheese and horseradish dressing which reminded me of Pesach. The sea bream was just amazing, not heavily battered but oh, just perfect. The dumplings were like the gyoza Ethan loves and served with a curry sauce that had quite a kick. The joy went on and on, a palate cleanser of mango kulfi in Prosecco followed by the main course. Tony’s dish was like nothing I’d ever seen before. So enthusiastic am I, that I’m even going to label my photos. It was like a biryani pie with a breaded cover. So innovative. He ordered a Peshwari naan, of course he did, which disappointed me as I’d read good reviews of the cheese one, but I rallied and tucked into one of the best dishes I have ever had - my halibut curry. The fish was so fresh and perfectly cooked, just delicious. Now I’ve been to many restaurants where I’ve ogled chip shops on the way home, but this was something else, we were both completely stuffed. The only downside was that we had no room for dessert. I asked what they were, for another visit, and chocolate fondant and strawberry cheesecake were mentioned. It was time to pay and honestly, I felt bad getting the food for half price after the carefully crafted and delicious feast that we’d have. Even the hot towels were theatrical and fun. I asked for my compliments to be sent to the chef and our waiter said that he’d ask him to come and meet us. This happened while Tony went to the loo and poor Ram had to listen to me waxing lyrically about every mouthful I’d consumed and how I would be writing about this place on Facebook, Tripadvisor and First Table. As I mentioned previously, the doors were held open for our departure (probably glad to see the back of us), attention to detail to the very last second. We had a lovely stroll around the area which would have looked better on a clearer evening, but was still very pleasant. The Intercontinental Brasserie is a wonderful restaurant and not expensive even at the proper prices. It’s well worth the journey and I really hope it soon gets the punters and the accreditation it deserves.

This place is a fabulous restaurant that offers a slightly different approach to other restaurants. Not only does it do excellent Indian cuisine it also offers alternatives as well. The food I had was excellent but the highlight was the barbecued skewers that you cook yourselves on a bbq at your table, it adds tremendous theatre to your meal but is also of the highest quality. We were also offered free tasters and the chef even came out after our meal to make sure everything was as we had wanted it. The staff are super polite and the restaurant has a fab atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

Wonderful evening here. Really enjoyed the theatre of the BBQ grill for starters. The main dishes were superb. Lamb shank and turbot Kerala style. Everything was of the highest quality - even the rice! Naan bread was the best ever, light and crispy. Staff were really friendly and professional. A great discovery.

Five minutes walk from Richmond train station. Absolutely love this Thai resto. Friendly, courteous staff. Busy eatery, but staff kept their calm and were very respectful despite the hot weather – it was the hottest day this year! The place was packed out during lunchtime but the staff assured us that a table would be made available. Lovely beautifully designed interiors with ethnic touches. We had the seafood pad thai, mixed satay, the tofu panang curry with tod mun pla fishcakes. Mixed satay was excellent, with a zingy sauce. Seafood pad thai was well done - juicy king prawns, mussels, squid and egg all fried together with rice noodles in a sweet and spicy sauce. Finished off with crunchy peanuts, fresh coriander and a squeeze of tangy lime.. lovely!
