We came to Billaricay on April 27th to visit a friend we called into the inn on the green for drink while we waited for our friend to finish work. As we don’t know the area we were totally unaware of the fact you had to register your car to park, didn’t see any signs either. I’ve received a £100 parking fine today which I’m not very happy about. A lovely pub but better signage would be helpful

Love this place, staff are great and welcoming, food comes out hot and quickly even when very busy , nice place to spend an afternoon in garden with family

Staff are RUDE for absolutely no reason, got asked to leave the premises because of something I did to one of their staff years ago - bear in mind this was my first time here and have no clue who anyone is that works there. Establishment is filled with absolute weirdos. Don’t recommend food was horrible and dry and drinks were watered down.Save your money and go elsewhere. Atmosphere was also a 1/10.

Laura is amazing so attentive and friendly she always goes out of her way to help and is one our favourite things about the pub

Went into on on the green today was lovely to the staff ordered my drinks and sat down at a table outside and inside round the corner from the main bar, got told by the bar manager we couldn’t be in there because we was looking over at the “bar” area(not happy with experience today

I met a few friends at the inn on the Green for some lunch and have to say that the staff are incredibly attentive, welcoming and friendly. I will definitely be returning the food was lovely and presentable 5* all round!

Jack and Cassie were our servers and they were brilliant! The Sunday roast were one of the best we’ve had here! The atmosphere and decorations are very welcoming and lovely since the renovation. Separating the sport section from the restaurant also keeps the atmosphere very relaxed for dining.

Charley and Laura were both amazing today, really friendly! Service, food and atmosphere were amazing!

We have visited this pub. Lovely pub lovely staff they looked after us. We had lovely food and chef cooked a great meal for us and we are happy visit back again and highly recommended

Booked a table for Christmas Eve for 10 people in which we all paid £10 each to in what we thought was to secure a spot and a place in the pub, however upon arrival 7 of us who where there just in time for our booking at 8 were informed we would have to queue in a massive long queue in which was one in one out (granted I was a little later so was not expecting to get in straight away) after the 7 mates had waited an hour in the queue it was not acceptable and eventually complained to the manager from which we was told keeping space for us was not good for business even though we had paid a £100 non refundable deposit(this was not even deducted from the bill) so after an hour off arguing and almost not being allowed in at all we was eventually allowed to be moved to the front off the queue and so made it in, but moral of the story do not book a table here just turn up early and your granted the golden ticket into the pub.

Chips weren't cooked through (still cold in the middle), as were the replacements once we complained and my partner had a hair in her food. Staff were good, but had a large party in with lots of children and were struggling a bit

Went to breakfast with Santa, super friendly staff, great food and the little one loved seeing Santa!

Had a marvellous bottomless brunch, lovely food and plenty of gin with the best company. Was allowed to change to a better table as football was on, could not of ended up at a better table. Staff were brilliant, very helpful and attentive.

One of the best Greene King pubs I've been to. Friendly staff and the manager Karan was so helpful and accommodating.

Easily the worst run/managed pub in Billericay maybe the whole of Essex. Nice treats for dogs is the only positive.

Been a few times now since the pub was taken over and it's a lovely place to go! The staff are really friendly and helpful and the food is always really well done. The decor is great too and overall the atmosphere is fantastic and it's a very nice place to go!

Was not taking any cash but my acquaintance Kevin who( lives there) kindly bought me a Fosters as my card had been had scammed and I was for a new one to be sent.

Great value for money if looking for friendly pub with really good atmosphere. Screens for sports but they don't take over and distract from the pub experience. I went looking for a place for two families to catch up and the lunchtime menu was spot on and tremendous value. Great selection of beers and really friendly staff. Special mention for Alicia, super friendly and helpful.

I recently visited Inn on the Green and was impressed by its cozy, traditional feel and friendly service. The food was excellent, with hearty pub classics done well, Overall, a lovely spot for good food and a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Went to the Inn on the Green on a Wednesday evening with a group of friends for quiz night. We all had the burger and a beer/soft drink deal and all agreed the burgers one great. One of the guys even said it was the best burger he’d eaten in a while, in front of his wife, who said they'd had homemade ones recently, oops. We also had a nice bottle of white wine, which I enjoyed drinking with my chicken burger. Anyway we went for there for the quiz, I was quietly confident we would do well as I had won two weeks in a row with three of my friends. However we only managed to come second to last, due to a reckless answer in the wipe out round. Never mind it’s the taking part that counts, and spending some quality time with friends in a lovely local refurbished pub. Quiz guy was very good, kept the questions going and made sure nobody was on their phone. I would mention his name but I've forgotten it, sorry. Anyway, hoping to go back with my original (winning) group of friends again this week. So if anyone is up to the challenge, grab a mate or a few and come and join us. Quiz starts around 8pm but we got there about 7pm to get some food first. One of us even ordered via an app, from the comfort of their chair, while the rest of us went to the bar. Staff were all friendly and helpful, so I’m happy to do a review for them, just hope we can still get a table if it gets busy.

What an awful experience start to end. Now before I go on, granted, our visit was on one of the busiest nights of the year being the evening of the annual bonfire night fireworks display. However, we booked a table, and arrived with no one able to seat us. Sat us down eventually after queuing at the bar. Didn't give us menus, explain to us how to order, nothing just table and gone. We used the app to order being as we knew how but others would have been sat waiting on a waiter. Anyway, order placed and drinks came, no fruit shoot for kids but was still available in the menu, agreed to swap to cola no big deal. Starters come out, complete shite to be honest. Some of the worst and cheapest I've ordered. No side plates for us to eat off, nothing. Not enough cutlery on the table no one asked if we needed anything. We ate the starters and saw no staff coming. When the mains came after a short delay we mentioned a missing cocktail that was ordered 40 mins ago with the drinks and food that had come out and the manager told us there's a big queue at the bar it'll be coming. Ate the mains, still no drink. Went to the bar and the bar man said we had swapped the £8 cocktail for a £2.50 coke which is not what was discussed nor is it logical. Anyway after all the manager informed the cocktail ordered was not available despite being still on the menu. So changed cocktail and an hour and a bit after ordering had to neck it rather than enjoying as I had places to be. Not one bit impressed to be honest, everyone was rude and the place was far too loud with the music all the way up. Definitely do not visit for food. UPDATE: Whilst I thank the manager for his response I don't believe it is very professional to suggest I have falsified the events. There may have been a misunderstanding regarding the mix up with the drinks but regardless of this the bar tender thought it ok to replace an £8 cocktail with a £2 cola and offer no refund. Anyway the service was shocking start to end and despite being a nice venue an overall horrible experience.

Love the new decor and being able to sit outside under cover. Returned for a catch up one lunchtime and sat inside this time. Love the colour scheme and it was an ideal place for a catch up over coffee.

Popped into the pub for bingo night with my mates and it was a wicked night. Good entertainment and the staff are very friendly.

Amazing refurb in the last 6 months and has a welcoming atmosphere. Good for sport but never too loud. The small bites menu is very tasty and the range of beers and wines improving.

Food was good, service not so much. Starters didn't come out at the same time, my wife had finished hers by the time mine arrived, and then to rub it in a bit more our mains came out while I was still eating my starters.

Stopped here today just by chance. After walking our dog(Ronnie) around Lake meadows ,which he really enjoyed. We were served by a really nice lady, who really made our afternoon even more enjoyable, and definitely Ronnie's with the treats that she got for him( sorry didn't get your name), but thank you for your great service. The food was lovely,we had Gammon & Hunters chicken and hallomi fries all cooked perfectly & washed down with a few beers.cant beat that on a nice sunny day when you have the day off. Thank you again. We will definitely be back.

Great food excellent value and inviting atmosphere and stunning decor. Music on in the background, heaters for outside, dogs welcome ( dog biscuits bin and water readily available) .ors of groups of friends, families and dog walkers. Actually think it has the potential to be the nicest pub in Billericay . Welldone

We came for a meal just after 7.00 this evening. Place wasn't busy but no steaks, no fish and chips so my husband went for Gammon, egg and chips. When it came the egg was broken and just plonked on top of the gammon. We said this was not acceptable, so it was changed and the second one was OK. I had Beef and ale pie, mash and veg. The pie was so hot you couldn't eat it straightaway and the mash and veg barely warm. I have to say the waitress was lovely and very apologetic but we won't be going there again.

An absolute gem, welcoming, spotless, perfect food and service. Such a lovely team. 5* venue, much better than the services we were looking for... so we diverted on the way back for a lovely Sunday Lunch there too! 😋

I have always had a good experience being here, besides one Friday evening being told the bar had ‘run out of cocktails’ to only then see people drinking them five minutes later… I had been lied to by one of the bar staff who couldn’t be bothered to make cocktails. Shout out to Maria who took the time to take on my disappointment and turned it around to make me the cocktail I was after! She has amazing customer service and an amazing mixologist skill set to make the perfect passionfruit martini! You turned my night around :)

Great service from Maria, made sure we was well looked after. Unfortunately the food looked a lot better in the menu than it turned up. The burgers were cremated and they represented the size of a digestive. Chicken burger was slightly better, but not amazing for £30 with drinks for two of us. The pub i’d give it 6.5/10. Service was 10/10 from Maria.

We attended on Friday Eve around 7pm and it was very busy, although we weren’t told about the long wait times for food and unavailable items, when our food finally arrived it was very nice. When I took my concerns to team members they were happy to help and couldn’t do enough to make sure that we had a nice experience despite a couple of hiccups. The refurbishment is very nice and we will visit again. A big thankyou to Macy and team for looking after us.

What a waist of money refurbishing this place all be it very well. The problem is the staff and especially the chef as usual no food. No chicken, no fish fingers basically nothing only chips.

Came into the pub 35 minutes before kick off for the football and politely asked if the commentary would be on for the football. The man looked me like I was an idiot and said yes. Didn't put the volume on. I asked 10 minutes before kick off, it's great to hear the national anthems before international football. Still didn't put it on and was really not bothered about trying. Served another customer and then answered the phone. 5 minutes into the game, 8.05pm I asked again and was told that he would put it on at 8pm Do yourself a favour and go down the road to Players Lounge instead to watch sport

Very busy so not much seating on a Saturday afternoon but that's to be expected. Nice busy atmosphere and good beers on tap.

Just moved to this area recently, some one recommended inn on the green. Visited for the first time, initial experience good size car park, price is reasonable, loads to choose from the drink menu, food looked great, brilliant service by the bar team. Looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend anyone to come down and visit this pub.
