Indish in Cambridge

Great service, great atmosphere and excellent food. But dont park in the parking area close by in front of the shops even if the shops are closed because I got charged three times in a row £60 parking fine by "Legal" thieves called Civil Enforcement who left no note on my card so I had no idea I was parking illegally!!!

Got Chicken Tikka chicken korma and curry with mushroom rice also pilau rice and it was all delicious one of the best Indians I’ve tried would try again and will highly recommend

They never brought the food and we couldn’t get hold of them so I’ve asked for a full refund I’m so angry and hungry I tried ringing them but they didn’t answer 5 times then when my partner called they answered and told me it’s my fault because they rang a different number they never came into the building (holiday inn) so ask for us we’ve been sat for over an hour waiting for food. I’m so hungry

Read some poor reviews prior to going here and I'm glad I ignored them. Could not fault the food, service or decor. Would definitely recommend this place.

The drive went to wrong address and my wife balti had one bit of lamb my curry was tasteless and to hot absolutely rubbish £30 for that rubbish no more orders from us

I get takeaway delivered most weeks from these guys, the service is excellent and the food fantastic. The tandoori chicken, tarka dhal and biryani all have the traditional taste I'm looking for. Happy to deliver even if I call near closing time which is great.

Rang the restaurant and explained I have waited 130 min for my order they said we don’t have an order then they said call just eat joker will I be ordering again ????? Then they turned up I said 1 h 30 min is to London he said he was stuck in traffic we live a third of a mile away the food was warm the naan bread was cold is this the way you treat customers

Indish is our go to takeaway. Every dish has been a perfect balance of spices, warmth and individuality. Delivery is always on time and our delivery guy is so polite. I recommend without hesitation. The chicken balti is my favourite.

One of the curries was wrong but food was good

The food I had was one of the worst I have had in any restaurant in my life. We had ordered noodles which was flavour-less and chicken shashlick came in burnt and overcooked. Look at other options if you are craving for good food.

One of the best curry houses in Cambs both for dine in and takeaway. They are super busy on a sat night deffo worth the wait for food to come out! Overall my preferred curry choice in Cambs.

If you are ordering takeaway I would suggest calling them to place the order rather than the delivery apps as Indish delivery is bang on time. Food is always hot and intact. Love it.

First time ordering from here as it had good reviews. We ordered the Tikka but it was not up to much, bland and watery with a not so nice chicken inside. It was like having soup with rice... The chicken had been taken off chicken skewers so not sure if they had ran out and panicked and put this together but I unfortunately will not be back. The only positive was the waitress as she was very polite.

Our local go-to restaurant. Whether takeaway or eating in, we always have a fresh, tasty meal. 😀

Had a great experience this weekend eating at Indish. From start to finish, top notch. Staff , food, environment. Fully recommended. The food was very good indeed. Starters, rice, nam breads and main meals was excellent. We will return. We had a great time.

I smelt indish as I walked by and it smelt amazing now I've tried it I'm floored it was gorgeous the curry was really flavourful and th naan was perfect id definitely recommend to anyone wanting an amazing Indian dining experience. Thankyou to you all for delivering nothing short of excellence.

Had a lovely meal here. Food was delicious with good sized portions at a reasonable price. The restaurant has a modern and comfortable feel to it with great service. Would definitely recommend.

I really had a pleasant time here. There are multiple options to pick from and the food is well seasoned. The service was also very superb. The atmosphere is very conducive with beautiful lighting. Location is 2mins from the Bus 1, so shouldn't be difficult to access by bus.

Great food and great delivery.. hot and delicious

Positives - Dhansak sauce was nice, Naga chilli sauce in kebab was decent spice level and delivery was within estimated time. Negatives - the chicken dhansak had virtually no chicken in it and was all sauce while the naga “doner” kebab was nothing of the kind at all. If I see naga doner kebab on a menu I expect to get doner meat with naga sauce and salad. What I got was a few scraps of what looked like chicken tikka and a few bits of peppers and onions and almost no salad. Best avoided I think.

Haven't eaten here in a very long time, when it would have been 'The Sitar'. Greeted by a very friendly and generally lovely waitress. She was great with the children. Even taking my youngest to pick some chocolates. As I was part of a group (6 in total). I didn't particularly want a starter. However my dad had ordered a few starters to share. That was alongside poppadoms and pickle tray. For my main course, I chose Chicken Tikka masala, mushroom rice, bombay aloo and a plain naan. Naan was nice and fluffy. As sometimes they can be overcooked and end up like cardboard. Mushroom rice was fine, as well as the aloo. Masala sauce was good, but the chicken wasn't the best. Have to admit I've had better elsewhere. Desserts was abit restrictive. The children wanted 'The Punky' ice cream. But we were told they didn't have any. So it was abit disappointing. We ordered 2 coconut ice creams, but was told there was only 1 left. So I had kulfi instead. Have to say the kulfi was very nice. Probably the best I've had from a restaurant in awhile. For drink, I decided to try mango lassi. Never had it before, although I knew what it was. It was very nice and refreshing. Totally cleansed all the food I had eaten. Couldn't fault the service, it was very good. Prices seemed to be fairly reasonable for the amount we ordered. Overall it was a pleasant evening out.

Reasonably priced place. Service was quick and courteous. They have a nice variety of vegetarian options. Garlic naan was good. Each naan is cut into 4 pieces ( consider this while ordering)

Food is delicious here, really reasonably priced and female serving food is excellent but unfortunately she has to check every order that her new colleague takes. Would not put me off returning though.

Ordered chilli chicken as I was missing Indian food and taste. chicken was not at all cooked and the taste was sweet???

Our Vegetable Biriyani was very tasty and was delivered quicky. Unfortunately it was luke warm when it arrived which is a shame, I would have recommended Indish if it wasn't for that.

If I talk about the food,I could have given may be a 3 or 4,but what lingered in my mind after the visit is the absolutely rude and unacceptable behaviour of the manager who was not able to see my kid just standing in a corner and looking at the bubbles in the restaurant.I had to hear thrice in a very demeaning tone that please look after him wherein she was just walking in the restaurant like a two year old would.None of the fellow eaters had any complaints with her but the manager who very snobbishly murmured behind me that he also has kids and I don't know how to manager my kid.Unfortunately this is the only thing which I would remember as a review for Indish where I walked in with a group of 9 people for a dinner.

Food was good service was rubbish, took ages to take drink order after 15 mins had to chase them up, had to chase them up to take food order and after an hr, chasing up to see where food was, then after 15 mins asking for bill had to chase again.

I enjoyed my food, but the other people said their food was not spicy enough and the prawns were over cooked and chewy. It was very quiet, with lots of people coming for takeaway. Staff were super lovely and friendly

My experience at Indish is nothing short of being delightful, the food is exceptional and very authentic. Staff are very attentive. Anyone looking for an authentic Indian cuisine, I would highly recommend Indish.

No so fan of this place as the taste is average but yeah in case you want to try, you can try as the Paneer was above average and the papad was good. Ambience is nice, they play nice Bollywood songs.

Ordered dinner for Tonight for first time , it was really good , well packed , hot food , not very oily or too much spicy , it was as it should be , very tasty and quantity wise also good and delivered very timely . Surely recommend.

Biryani was supposed to come with salad but didn't. Aubergines were swimming in vegetable oil. Food wasn't hot.

Delicious. Really appreciate the fact that Indish remembered and addressed the mistakes on our last order made a while back.

Disappointed to have our potatoes missing from our order (£3.95!!!) and couldn't eat the rice as it was not plain as asked for and it was for a vegan so no ghee wanted. Please may we be refunded these two items? It was nice to get the side salad with our salmon this time as the last two times there was none included.

Very pathetic service. We entered the restaurant and waited for 5 mins before somebody handed over the menu card. The person did apologise for the delay. But then we waited for another 15-20 mins and nobody turned up to take order. It looked like there was only one person doing everything in the restaurant and till he doesn’t finish everything from taking order to serving the order for one table, he won’t move to next table.

Food was warm on arrival, but tasted good especially the butter chicken. The korma a bit too much coconut for our liking. Small portion sizes.

I used to love Indish's dine-in food and previous years' deliveries. But I am extremely disappointed by what this Gobi Manchurian looks and tastes like especially after nearly an hour delay. The entire remainder of the order felt just as mediocre sadly. I have crossed out Indish forever off my list 😔

Wow! What a lovely clean, restaurant with takeaway available. The decor was modern and they have made a small space look so much larger. The staff were approachable and friendly. The meal temperature was hot, even when I got it home. The portion was generous and tasty. Good value for money. It is clear the management care about what they do, from the customer service, food, cleanliness and decor. Free parking, easily accessible. Next time I am definitely eating in!

I ordered the chicken korma dish and the chicken was so dry, also, the sauce was extremely sweet. The garlic naan didn’t taste of garlic at all and the rice had no flavour whatsoever! Never again!

I would not order from Just Eat Again. I placed an order with a restaurant in Horsham but Just Eat sent my order through to a restaurant in Cambridge. Get your act together Just Eat. It is almost impossible to get through to Just Eat. They deliberately make it hard to get through so that you just forget it. I will never use Just eat again
