Indian Saffron Restaurant Queensferry in Flintshire

First time I've used this takeaway and the food was amazing! The staff were very nice, friendly and welcoming. I will definitely use this takeaway/restaurant again. I highly recommend.

Just simply yummy! Chicken tender, sauce sweet and creamy and ample supply. All mopped up with the softest naan bread I’ve ever had. Staff are welcoming and friendly.

I've eaten Indian food for the past 30 years. Leicester, Birmingham, Rusholme curry mile and everywhere inbetween. This is really top notch, as good as I've had. The specialties are different and bang on. Took the team from work, everyone loved it. Really can't recomend enough. Have visited for the past twelve months, brilliant. Minor grumble, can take a while to get mains. Worth it though.

Discovered this Indian Restaurant whilst venturing through Queensferry. The outside appearance was appealing and welcoming. We got a table without a reservation, it was relatively quiet as it had opened at 5 p, we had arrived shortly afterwards. We were made to feel very welcome. The service was extremely professional. The staff were friendly and attentive to your needs. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere inside, decorated well, spacious and very clean and fresh. We ordered Garlic Nann and Cheese Nann both priced at £3.95, the Garlic bread was probably the best I have even tasted. The Chicken Tikka Thawa was absolutely devine, one of the best dishes I have ever had, quality pieces of chicken. Cooked perfectly. £12.95 a highly recommended dish. The Chicken Shashlik had large succulent pieces of chicken, sizzling on the claydish soaked with onions and tomatoes. £13.95 The Vegetable Pilau rice was probably the best Pilau rice I have ever tasted. Small bottles of sparkling water cost us £2.95. In conclusion, it is an exceptional restaurant, very professional waiters, high-end produce, and fresh ingredients, and the prices reflect this. Opens 7 days a week, 5-10 pm daily

We called in last night 27/03/24 for our evening meal and once again excellent service and food. We love to eat here as we can’t fault it at all even though my wife is the most fussy person I have ever known.

We turned up after booking online, we received a confirmation booking and it was all confirmed but on arrival we were told that they had rejected it but nothing came through saying this via comms. They Didn’t even give a proper apology or tried to rectify the situation. They had empty tables there and it was two of us it looked as if they were too busy to meet demand. It was very embarrassing for us as we were stood there in a full restaurant with everyone looking at us. Flustered we ended up going as a couple to to the Amontila in garden city and had a good night and great food. As a local I’m not sure if I would go back to the Indian saffron as we wouldn’t have confidence in them managing the booking. I’m sure the food is good but as it would have been a disaster if there was more of us and the customer service we received was poor I would be hesitant in making plans to eat there again.

This restaurant came with a recommendation, I was excited to experience. Service was just about the worst I’ve ever had, four friends all ordered starters, three arrived. Staff oblivious not concerned at all when we asked where the fourth one was! It eventually arrived with the Luke warm mains, well some of the mains, again missing items, staff not aware and when pointed out in no hurry to rectify. We even had to point out again when the bill arrived that items charged for had not been delivered. No compensation apart from removal of food charged for but not served. What a shambles. I won’t be recommending, nor visiting again £130.00 not well spent.

First time eating here and it was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is so clean and the food was delicious. The service from all staff was impeccable. I have recently given up caffeine and they very kindly made me a cup of tea with my own teabag!!! Couldn't ask for better customer service. Thanks so much for a fantastic evening.

Been multiple times and had no issues. Always kept coming back as the food is amazing, but after booking a table a month ago to be cancelled on the day with the only explanation as to be they have tried to contact throughout the week but then not getting any contact as they were calling a wrong number from the number I had supplied when booking the table. No apologies for the mix up or anything. Very disappointed as we have really enjoyed multiple meals here.

This place literally has the best curries I have ever experienced in my 43 years on the planet. Perfect flavours. Even the rice is just right; not the stodgy stuff that’s been kept warm like in other takeaways and restaurants. Staff are really, really good. You can tell Indian Saffron is well managed. You always get a nice greeting soon after you turn up. They only slightly south thing I can say is that because it’s so good, so popular and so perfect it’s usually pretty busy and there’s a fair old wait for food but oh my god it’s worth the wait; and would be worth even more of a wait than it takes. Excellent!

Food was great. There was a big mix up with the bill at the end that could have been avoided, but a pleasant experience overall.

Just wow. Went for a meal here last night and have to say the best Indian food I've ever had. Everything cooked to perfection, tender meat and fluffy rice. Definitely be back. Shout out to the staff too who were very friendly.

Had a lovely meal here this evening. We were passing through the area and popped in. Friendly efficient staff. Service was also efficient but we didn’t feel rushed. The food was fresh and tasty and well presented. Overall a great experience, lovely buzz about the place and good value for money.

The staff couldn’t do enough to ensure our dining experience was above expectations. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. This is by far the best Indian restaurant in north wales. I will definitely be returning again in the very near future.

Lovely decorated restaurant, very clean, we dined in. Staff were great, well mannered and made us feel welcome. Food suggestions welcomed. I choose tikka massala, thought i would keep to what i knew and taste their sauce.....OMG it was beautiful. My husband choose tandoori chicken with a madras sauce (not on menu as a option, but staff happy to combine 2 dishes), he was very impressed. We did notice plentiful of takeaway bags leaving, so kept a takeaway menu for ourselves, ready for our next takeaway night in.

Top notch food, authentic, tasty, generous portions, the chicken was so soft, and to finish it was so reasonably priced. 100% recommended.

Visited tonight with my husband. Service was excellent from every staff member from the minute we walked in. Every dish we both had was amazing, probably the best Indian I have had. Food was piping hot and fresh, there was a bit of a wait for our mains (which was to be expected with it being a Friday night) but we were not fazed in the slightest. Well worth the money!

Just had the best Indian meal we've had for years,greeted by very smart waiter who showed us to our seats, the place spotlessly clean with a great atmosphere,great selection on the menu and realistically priced,all the food we had was top quality with great flavours waiter was attentive without being in your face,can not fault the food in any way it was fantastic, and the peshwari naan is to die for,will definitely be back,SOON,thank you.

Absolutely Fantastic Service Beautiful Food Would Highly Recommend

As part of the takeaway order I requested an onion bhaji starter with salad and mint sauce. On putting out the order at home no mint sauce had been provided. The food was lovely but the small details let it down slightly (salad and the bhaji are much nicer with mint sauce) so 4 stars instead of 5.

We’ve eaten in the restaurant a couple of times and it’s excellent,but we ordered a take away tonight,and I have to say it was absolutely delicious,all 3 meals were lovely,and it came within the hour piping hot!!

This was one of the best curries I’ve ever had in every sense of the word. Tasty, spicy & very well priced. The staff were warm, friendly & knowledgeable so I’d highly recommend this restaurant so thanks for looking after us guys 😀👍

Third visit here, 6 of us went for a family meal. Firstly they were very patient as one member was a little late, but there was no pressure. Drinks ordered, nice to get coke etc in a bottle and not post mix rubbish. Cobra was good even my daughter who has never been a lager drinker enjoyed. Poppadoms, chutney tray, starters and mains where all lovely, portion sizes were spot on, service was brilliant, all staff members polite well mannered and attentive. Can't recommend enough, quality food and a good price. Had a lovely evening, so thank you all

Read all reviews as this was the 1st time going there. Not the biggest but this was made up by having a wonderful meal. The venue clean, staff are great, and will definitely return.

I've been eating indian food since the early 1970's, the tandoori mixed grill is by far the best i have ever had, the lamb chop and chicken were tender, cooked in a clay oven, i ordered a pathia sauce with it 😋🤗

Best local Indian Restaurant by a mile ... Busy, but service and food fabulous. Extensive menu with some different dishes not found on usual menus. Honestly best 'vindapoo' ive had!!

We had take away Onion barges were clearly made in bulk ahead of time and were very very dry. Mushroom rice nice but had to heat it up in the microwave . All the mains were nice but the lamb in the rogan josh was a bit tuff. This is probably our first and last time going here.

By far the best Indian food I have had. The food was fresh, high quality and authentic. Staff were incredible too, very attentive and friendly. They made the meal a great experience and I look forward to visiting again for another great evening. 5* food and service!

Went for the first time with 3 friends on Saturday night. It was very busy and quite noisy but we had a great time. The menu was really extensive and included some unusual dishes. We all agreed the food was excellent, the service was OK allowing for how busy they were and the price was good. Will definitely go again. Booking essential on Fridays and Saturdays.

Our first visit to Indian Saffron and definately won't be our last .we went for a Birthday celebration .The service was excellent ,the food absolutely delicious the waiter had only just taken or order and the poppadoms arrived ..The main courses there were five of us eating and all had something different each piping hot and so tasty .The staff were friendly and made us feel so welcome . It's great to welcome a new restuarant to the area .we would like to wish them every success and hope to be back soon .

Me and my husband went New Year’s Eve it was really busy which was nice to see. I had garlic mushroom puri to start which I hadn’t had before and that was really nice and than had vegetable biryani which I normally always have at a Indian as I’m vegetarian and it was absolutely gorgeous it was the best Indian meal that we both have had in a long time and the staff couldn’t do more for us which was nice I actually ordered a Malibu and lemonade as I drink but they actually made a mistake with one as I already had one they bought another but said I could have it anyway as it would just get chucked down the sink which was nice to do as they didn’t have to do that would definitely go again would recommend them highly.

Wow, what an experience me and my family had at the special Indian Saffron. Food was amazing, flavours were extravagant. Customer service was amazing and the staff members are very welcoming, comforting and well mannered. Will definitely visit the Indian Saffron again, especially when prices are perfect for the special service we received.

Amazing service from the staff, lovely food with various sizzler options including the Lamb rosti, which was one of my favourites and the saffron special biryani is lovely definitely the best Indian around. As a customer who does not drink, I have seen the services they provide from their fully licensed bar for the customers who drink alcohol, providing them with a Brandi and Bailey on the house after their meal. Will most definitely visit the Indian Saffron again!

4 of us dining in. Food was great. 1 of us had scampi, chips and salad. 3 had curries and rice, poppadoms, dips and bhajis. All the food was hot and fresh. Brought out in a good amount of time. Friendly staff and a good price! Even offered us a free shot before we left with mints and hot towels! Only down sides I would say are a slight lack of choice for draft beer and we felt quite far away from our table when eating but was nothing in manageable. Overall great food and pleasant experience. Will go again!

Firstly, the food was delicious. Never have I had tandoori chicken that tasted so good. All 5 meals we ordered between us were delicious 😋. We did have a problem with delivery in that the driver couldn't find us so our food was cold and an item was missing off our order. However after speaking to the manager - Abdul (who is a lovely guy), he has kindly rectified the situation for our future order. Thank you Abdul. I certainly would recommend Indian Saffron for delicious food and run by a very nice manager.

Tried out the new local restaurant and was very pleased with our experience! From stepping in the door, you can feel the atmosphere is calm, classy and amazing. Staff were very friendly making sure our coats were hanged, kept checking up on us and made sure our overall experience was lovely. The food was amazing too! Portion sizes were really good for the price you pay. We will definitely be back soon! It wasn’t extremely busy too which we really liked.
