We ordered our anniversary dinner from here tonight, delivery was properly on time , food was hot freshly prepared, awesome authentic taste, quality quantity both great, well packed and great. From mixed grill starter to keema rice,lamb biryani and kerala lamb curry everything so delicious. Highly recommended.

Always great food and service here. We have been quite a few times and never had a bad dish. A good range of vegan options. Most dishes are gluten free (except obvious naan and chapati). Dosas are tasty. The side dishes we have tried are great, and do have some spices in, which we love.

Excellent food. Kerala parota and nadan curry is exceptional. Love the place.

Very disappointed with the customer service and behavior of the staff. Extremely rude to the customer and one of the staff was extremely reacted rudely towards the customer and showed the behavior like physical abuse. Food is okay but very disappointed with the staff.

First time getting take away from here!! NEVER EVER AGAIN!!! I asked for King Prawn tikka masala! Not even on menu! Polish woman on reception didn’t even know what that was, and told us to look at the menu. There was no sauce to that description.! Then she said, is it the sweet red sauce yes, I said! So we went with that! My partner had chicken tikka masala that wasn’t on the menu either, we then ordered Nan breads, peshwari and kema , and onion bhaji ! Well when we got home plate up!! We looked at it in disbelief! The source was like water the taste was OK! Came in tiny plastic tubs! The prawns tasted artificial and frozen, obviously very cheap prawns, My partners chicken was tasteless, The nan breads had no fillings , and the onion barges tasted like cheap frozen ones !! Absolutely awful!!!! 🤮🤮🤮 I wish I had taken photos !! 🙈🙈🙈 Go

Food is okay. Mostly stuff prepared for shop bought frozen products. Service is a bit slow. My mum waited 20 mins for her main to arrive after the rest of the food, and then they had the cheek of adding it to the bill.

I had a bad experience from the staff as they insulted me while i went a couple of months ago. I guess a polish women who is in the reception. When i spoke to my friends they had the same experience from the same staff. So seriously I am not recommending this place to any indians because when i complained this to the owner i am shocked because she insulted me only but he mentioned to me that he is not welcoming Indians to his restaurant why because indians coming for spend more time and having little food. I feel ashamed because he put the restaurant name as india palace then he was talking badly about us.

Amazing authentic Kerala cuisine at a reasonable price.

Lovely neat spacious restaurant. Very good food. The recommendations was so on spot. Loved the masala dosa and paneer ul theyili, the naans were really good and closest to indian naan. Matka kulfi was perfect, not too sweet and loved pistachio flavour. We were table of 6. Service was quick and attentive. Thank you.

If you are looking for vegetarian Indian food then you must visit here.. we ordered kadhai paneer , garlic naan and vegetable biryani and they were delicious. The staff is also kind and polite.

One of the best curries I have ever had. We had a Saturday night takeout and ordered a Naadan Chicken Curry, Kerala Lamb curry and Thadka Dal. All three dishes were really well spiced with great depth and consistency. The chicken and lamb were very tender and delicious. Overall, an outstanding takeaway tonight and we will be back. Have previously been and had Dosas here which I would also recommend if you are sitting in.

Today we had dinner here for my birthday. We ordered veg biriyani taste was excellent. I also liked the curry sauce with the biriyani. Food was excellent and service was very good. Nice treat for my birthday

Buffet not available now, but you can try ala carte. The starters were not good but the main course(Biriyani, Garlic Naan, Chicken gravy) was good.

Very authentic taste and overall a nice vibe, definitely coming back for more! I love chicken biryani and have tried it from ~10 different places in Cambridge, The Indian palace is so far my favorite :) This particular instance, I had the Masala dosa which also exceeded my expectations.

An average place for south indian food. Went as we wanted authentic kerala style porotta and beef, however, the beef roast was not cooked to the authentic style with coconut pieces and curry leaves, but instead was made with onions and green peppers. Porotta was okay 3/5. We also tried the chemeen curry, which was good 4/5. We tried for starters - fish 65, chicken pakoda and chilli panner. Fish 65 was crispy on the outside and was seasoned well. Chicken pakoda was a disappointment, didnt feel fresh and the meat was chewy. The chilli panner was disappointing too as the panner pieces were not crispy on the outside and the gravy tasted too much of ketchup.

Our main meal was fabulous. We ordered a bottle of white wine which they just put on the table, warm and unopened for us to help ourselves 🤣 but the food outweighed this. Well worth a visit.

Fantastic food, some of the best we've had.

Had two corse dinner on a Thursday night,. Reasturant is light and welcoming with a slash of decor that stets a relaxed dining experience. starter chicken Pakora I wouldn’t recommend this it was over cooked and dry, also served with a pot of tomato sauce poor effort. Main meal was a chicken tikka balti, while not the traditional Balt were used to in Birmingham this dish was good with a well balanced flavour I would recommend this dish. The naan’s were very good I only had the plain one but it was fresh and cooked to perfection, very good accompaniment to the dish. Parking can be an issue not the restaurants fault but worth knowing if your in the car.

Very friendly staff excellent service and great food

A lovely restaurant where it's always the right temperature, impressively decorated, and the employees are impeccably polite. But all of that is overshadowed by how good the food is! I've come here at least monthly for the last 6 months and I have no plans of stopping any time soon. You can't go wrong with the chicken tikka masala, but my personal favorite is the lamb dupiaza.

Visited with family on Friday night and the food was exceptional! We managed to get a table without booking and the service was also excellent. I had the onion bhajis to start followed by the chicken dupiaza and pilau rice (yes, I like onions) with poppadoms and pickles too. Everything was so delicious, authentic, piping hot and fresh. Thank you for a glorious Indian meal!

The food was brilliant and not expensive. Portion size was good and staff were very helpful and patient. Only downside is a lack of parking but there are side streets nearby.

We love curry from this place. It's always really delicious, fresh and tasty. Ordering over the phone is quick and easy and that way you can take away with no hassles. They also offer online orders too. This is our go-to takeaway curry option as it never fails to impress!

We eat a lot of Indian dinners and having just moved to the area we wanted to find an authentic restaurant serving great food. There are a few contenders in and around Cambridge but this tops the lot. The menu is varied - from standard curries to South Indian dishes like Dosas. All of it is absolutely delicious. The madras is particularly good. The dosas are great value for money. And the cauliflower starter is a winner! Highly recommended.

It is a nice place to eat out. Medu vada is a must try at this restaurant, Masala Dosa is good but the rest is just above ordinary. Convenient location for folks in Cheery Hinton.

We had dinner here on a weeknight because our kitchen was out of commission. The menu is extensive, with South Indian dishes - which we chose - as well as the usual curries. We enjoyed our meal and will go back. This is not a fancy place or suitable for a romantic night out, but I would rate the food above average in its class, and the prices are very reasonable.

Cannot fault this place, it's my 'go to' Indian restaurant in Cambridge. The best masala dosa that you'll find outside Wembley/ Southall area - its delicious and spicy! Service is always great, even when it's extremely busy (which it often is on weekends). This is the closest I have got to home cooked Indian food in Cambridge.

Ordered a take away and to say we were all disappointed was an understatement, everything looked like chicken in a different artificially coloured gloup that looked like it had a thickening agent added to it! A Tesco Microwave meal is far better! Unsure if this place has changed hands however it has seriously gone down hill!

Dziś po raz pierwszy odwiedziłem ten lokal. Miła i przyjazna atmosfera. Zjadłem lunch dnia za 22 funty. Trochę drogo jak za ryż z warzywami. Ale podany na liściu bananowca który pewnie jest najdroższy z całego dania. Ale z ciekawości wrócę spróbować innych indyjskich potraw tym razem z karty.

We bought 3 Onam Sadya as takeaway. 3 people had the sadhya and we all had food poisoning on that started at night. The only common food that we had that day was this Onam sadhya.

The service was friendly and attentive. I was shown to my table and presented with a menu. I ordered pappdoms and a pickle tray. The four pickles were tasty. Cobra and Kingfisher were on draft. I ordered a pint of Cobra but it tasted off so I asked for Kingfisher instead. I was not charged for the Cobra as the waiter agreed it was off. I ordered the Lamb Biryani which came with yogurt raita or curry sauce. It was spicy and the portion was large. My bill came to £17 which I thought was reasonable.

Ordered a take away 5th August and it was very poor. Fried prawn starter - tasteless. My pepper chicken was inedibly hot with not much chicken, my wife's Prawn Korma looked like babyfood, best thing was the mushroom rice. Even the complimentary poppadum tasted like it'd been cooked in oil that's way past its prime. It's cheaper than the Tiffin Truck - their pepper chicken is £10 vs £8 here, but theirs' is amazing. Sadly here it's def a case of you get what you pay for.

Rude staff and bland Kerala south Indian food!!!! I went with family to have dinner in this restaurant. It was a much waited dine out after a long time. We had to travel an hour to reach Cambridge. As we were early we were spending time sight seeing. I booked table promptly for 6 PM. As we entered the restaurant in the lady at the reception who sounded European was nearly yelling at us and showed she was unhappy that we didn’t close the door behind us!!. Already feeling a bit intimidated we ordered the popular kerala starters and mains. Fish fry, konchu porichathu, chilli chicken, Kerala porotta, Fried rice, Kerala Beef curry, Malabar chicken curry and butter chicken. I can say that this chef who is making it don’t have any experience in cooking Kerala food. This food was bland to the core!!. This is definitely not authentic despite it said on the menu and this lady at the reception reassuring us many times. I informed the only lady serving the whole restaurant that the food isn’t right. She had no real expressions and went away from our table. To my surprise she was having a good time soon after as she was sitting with another man who was also a staff in the restaurant. They both sat in another table and was sharing jokes and laughing. If they were decent they would have returned to our table and spoke to us as to what went wrong as we were the only people in the restaurant at the time. I am really sorry but this restaurant is appalling and being a keralite made me cringe as to what they are portraying our food as is not even close!!!. It’s a disgrace to our society and amazing Kerala food!!.

The food was really authentic. Ordered dosa, lamb, Kerala parotta, mango lassi, chilli paneer. The staff was very good. Loved the experience.

Gave the restaurant ample opportunity to respond and refund both directly and through deliveroo but they both refused despite our genuine complaint and explaining that we couldn’t eat the food. It’s is the worst delivered food we have ever had in our lives. It was not as advertised. It was not in in any shape or form Indian food and therefore i feel is a case is mis selling. It contained no Indian spices, no fresh ingredients, frozen mixed veg, chicken in what tasted like very cheap powdered tomato soup with no discernible Indian spice flavours, no onions, and other no flavours apart from lashings of chilli powder on the dry chicken, and the sagaloo which just tasted like bonfire. Deliveroos reason for not refunding us was that it wasn’t to our personal taste despite telling them all the above. It wasn’t about personal taste, it was substandard poor quality, unacceptable bland unpalatable cheap quality food. A total waste of nearly 50 pounds. Don’t waste your money!

We have been several times in this restaurant it was such a nice time even the service of the lady staff was absolutely great. But today (16/05/Monday) we been there at 2:30 and the guy who was in the reception told closed. This is absolutely shame. In your website it shows you closes at 3pm. Last time also we visited there at the same time and she heartily welcomed us. This time i feel completely ridiculous. At least please change your timing if you cannot take customers on that time. This is not the nice way to treat the customers who coming to have the food.

Excellent food, very friendly service, great menu (I love their vegetarian dishes and ginger chicken). Spacious with good atmosphere. There is free parking, and it is a walking distance from anywhere in Cherry Hinton area. A great place for couples or big groups.

OUR NUMBER ONE INDIAN RESTAURANT EVER! We booked on the off chance last year whilst camping nearby. We booked camping nearby this year just to visit this restaurant!

Hi, I got a delivery from this place yesterday and sorry to say the food was stale (coconut chutney along with the masala dosa was definitely not edible). All the vegetarian stuff -aubergine fry, masala dosa, medu vada felt like they had been cooked a day before. Only the butter chicken was palatable. Very disappointed. Hope it is a one off but I am not ordering from here again. Old review: Glad to have found this place. Great ambience and excellent spread of dishes, esp the south Indian ones. Thoroughly enjoyed the fish pollichutt and chilly chicken. But hope the filter coffee can be improved. Nevertheless great job guys!

This has to be the worst takeaway ever. lets start with the tandoori chicken half. dry as the dessert, looked like left over from lunchtime menu. I managed to get less than a third of the meat. the king prawn curry came with 4 king prawns in a container of sauce. the delivery guy was deliver and run with an attitude, I don't even want to be here. we wont be returning customer. A total waste of £25.45p.

My son and I enjoyed a really great evening here. The food was exceptional and the service second to none. The beautiful young lady who attended to us was even kind enough to provide the details of the amazing ambient music they were playing. Highly recommended. :)

Authentic Southern Indian restaurant. Food is delciously fresh. A million miles from standard take away fare. Lovely and patient service. Always seems busy enough to create a nice atmosphere but not so packed that you can't hear your dining partners. Enjoy!
