Best curry I have had in a long time. A busy restaurant with efficient service and amazing food. Totally recommend.

Service fab food fab down side was a group of 4 so called adults turned up on Sunday the 25th, at about 8.15, ,, you know how you are,,, seated at the far right hand corner, table for 4, The language was terrible, as was their attitude , we packed up and left , such a shame as we would have stayed longer, How the staff put up with this I don't know, But we will definitely return and sit in the window area ,

I cycled from Small Heath to Coleshill. The food was excellent, I had saag panir with chapatis & pistachio kulfi. Excellent service & a friendly atmosphere.

What has happened. !!! No taste, a tiny bit of lettuce with the starter. No replacement knifes and forks had to ask for them. Even the sauces were watered down and bland. 6. Of us and everyone’s meal was bland and no spice at all. And the price had gone up considerably. Very disappointed

We recently stayed in Coleshill during a visit to the NEC. We saw the Indian Lounge on our way in and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. Probably one of the best Indian meals I’ve had. The staff were very attentive and the food was excellent. Would certainly go back again.

Been many times had some nice curries but the last few times not very impressed at all I have tried 4 to 5 different dishes all tasted like s hot spicy madras the same my girlfriend had a different curry to guess wat tasted the same think they have one big pot of the same curry ...

Unable to show as takeaway on the options but just had to write a review. This place used to be generous quality portions. Now it's all designed for PROFIT! I had a curry delivered last night and the meat amount was so low the initial reaction when I opened the carton was "have they put any meat in" There was about 7 small pieces of lamb in my Rogne E Nishat - This was in the 'Chef Recommended Special Curries' - I can tell you one thing I would not recommend it to anyone. The flavour was very bland and flavourless and it was also supposed to be a hot curry and it was no hotter than a korma.

Had a delivered takeaway tonight, so disappointed, after using the Indian Lounge for several years. Meal arrived after 2 hours ( we do live rurally but that’s never been a problem before) . When the meal arrived the tandoori balti was burnt and full of bones and gristle and the prawn biryani contained 2 prawns and the rest was potato. Neither of us finished our meal. If you were too busy to accommodate us you should have said so.

I've been here quite few times and it's always been ok until tonight, I don't eat chicken in curries so always order lamb. When my dinner came it was chicken which I pointed out straight away, the waiter said he could take it back and change it but would take 15 minutes by which time my partner would have nearly finished her dinner. I did say I would try the curry as I didn't want to sit and watch my partner eat her dinner and likewise her watch me after she'd finished, I did try to eat my curry but it wasn't happening and I had to leave it, at the end when asking for the bill I noticed that I had been charged full price for a curry I hadn't asked for and I couldn't eat. I would of thought out of courtesy it would have been taken off. The manager wasn't there to speak to so I've decided not to go back again it might seem petty but it's the principal at the end of the day.

Fantastic venue for your evening never mind what it is. I'm not a lover of Indian food, however I can't fault my meal, service or the staff.

Went here with a party of thirteen for an evening meal and whilst I rarely go to an Indian Restaurant I must say I really enjoyed my meal. The staff were very helpful and were happy for us to break the bill up into four accounts, including the drinks, which was happier for us. There was a good variety of food available and the premises were well attended by others that showed to us, as strangers, that it was well thought of. Will return with our group (bigger) next year.

Best Indian restaurant in Coleshill.

We ordered a takeout, and it was so disappointing....the portions we're small and lacking in flavour. We didn't get the mushroom pilau rice we ordered, but bland tasteless rice. Customer Service was fine and they did deliver in the time specified.

Have been here a couple of times this year and both times they have got the orders wrong I asked for prawn pathia and got prawn bhuna we asked for onion bhajee for a starter and asked for it to come out before the mains did it? No it came out after the mains they got the drinks order wrong again There are too many of them trying to serve one table the first time it happened It happened I thought well we all make mistakes but this time the same mistakes would I go here again ? No there are better Indian restaurants on the high street

Maybe we ordered the wrong thing, but none of our dishes tasted like they were described. Expected crispy coated chicken in our starter, but it was just chicken. Full marks to the peshwari naan.

Indian lounge is in my opinion is Coleshill's N°1 Restaurant. I have been going here for 13 years and the food has always been top notch. Never a bad experience. Staff are great and aesthetics are great with a hand painted mural. Well recommended

Service is good and food is always good

The food was absolutely amazing. The staff were lovely to speak with and we're always happy to help. The interior is lovely but a bit cramped at times, though it didn't get in the way of a fantastic evening.

Great curry, location and service. One of the best in area as locals swear by it. Portions good and fantastic quality and price.

I would say this place is average. Staying for the night in York we decided to go to this curry place. The food was ok but everything was rushed. If you put your knife and fork down for a minute to digest the food they would come over and say are we finished. Although the setting of the place was lovely. A nice candle on the time and the drinks were nice. Would we come again, maybe not.

This is now my 'goto' restaurant in Birmingham for Indian food. I've eaten several times here during the weekend and cannot fault the service or food. Would highly recommend.

The staff were really busy on Saturday night but attentive & pleasant. Food was flavoursome & fresh. First visit but not last.

My friends and I had a wonderful curry here. The Parahi lamb was special. They do need to sort out the chips though!

My date and I had 3 starters as a sort of tapas style meal. The best way I can describe it is SPECTACULARLY average. The seekh kebab was HARD, the chicken was DRY. The only redeeming dish was the fish and it was TINY. No idea what the the people of Coleshill are used to but a lack of options is not a reason to give this trash 5 stars.

We went to the Indian Lounge last night. We have been there several times before and never had a bad experience. However, last night was different. My kids had come from London and fancied a meal out so I suggested this place (I really wish I hadn't). We ordered starters and my son had chicken 65. When it came, it was nothing like a chicken 65 - we have had this dish before several times. It was a mush of something in what looked like an Uncle Ben's sauce. When he tried it, he said it tasted like really old chicken. It was hard and chewy. He never complains about food but this time he told the waiter what he thought about the dish. The waiter didn't seem too happy and started making excuses for why the chicken was like that. He agreed to replace it with something else after a while. The rest of the starters were average and not worth the money they are charging for them. Then we ordered the mains. We had a 4 year old with us and she wanted an aloo paratha with plain yoghurt. They couldn't do that and gave her a plain paratha instead. The paratha was hard and not soft like a paratha should be. We asked for extra butter so he took the plate back inside and put a bit more on the top instead of giving us an extra bit on the side. The plain yoghurt appeared to be a problem and the waiter said he would see if they had any. They did and brought it out. The mains were ok. Not the quality we are used to in this place. I wonder what has changed. The customer service is something they need to look at and change as it leads to bad feelings. We will not be going there again.

I live locally and of the abundance of Indian restaurants in Coleshill the Indian Lounge has always been the best, until now. Have to say that the take away delivered tonight was one of the worst things I’ve ever dished up, cold, bland, I’m no cook but I honestly think I could have done better myself and wished I’d tried, I’ll be going elsewhere in future and would recommend you do too.

I had been here often in the past and was very pleased with the food. I visited recently and it was terrible. Food just a stodgy unpalatable mess, not that hot, served on an ice cold plate, I complained as soon as it was put on the table. It was taken away "quote" to be put in the microwave for a couple of mins. The chicken in the meal was like pre cooked processed (grey in colour), the one king prawn was inedible, the remainder of the meal was very gritty and salty. Would never go back again.

Me, my Nan and my mom went out tonight for a curry for my moms belated birthday meal. We normally go to the Rajrani on the Coleshill High-street, but it’s closed on Monday’s so we chose to go to the Indian lounge. ‘WHAT A MISTAKE’ They seated us, then came over to take a drinks order and we asked for popadoms, after 5 minutes they then came straight over to ask for mains (knowing we didn’t even look at the menu) I wouldn’t mind but there was literally 3 table when we arrived so they weren’t busy?! Then the member of staff with glasses came over to to take our order for mains, I asked for a chicken sagwala with extra spinach, my nan asked for a garlic chilli chicken Balti with chopped chillis, he rolled his eyes and said ‘the chillis come chopped anyway’ and my mom asked for a madras sauce with extra coriander he replied “why don’t you go in the kitchen and cooked it yourself”. After taking our order he went over to the other members of staff to tell them the order and slammed the piece of paper down where he wrote our order. This made us all feel uncomfortable. But when our food came out it was lovely & we did enjoy it but I seriously think they need to learn more customer service skills or clearly not work in the industry as I work within the industry myself. Next time, I won’t come here and I will continue to use the rajrani where they value their customers and actually have a conversation and SMILE!

Top Indian restaurant and takeaway. Food and service is quality.

Indian lounge goes above and beyond the norm in terms of flavour and quality . I have been indulging in Indian food for many many years now and have found an absolute gem . We do not use any other Indian restaurant or takeaway other than Indian lounge since we fell upon this highly passionate takeaway . The flavours are immense and are not full of tomatoes or onions etc … plus all the other extras that take away from juice and naaam bread duckable meaty ndian that you have ordered . My wife orders a biryani which is sublime . They are quite a personal service and after a while understand what you require . As for price …. You get what you pay for …… I pay for meaty quality it’s a personal touch 😁

Unless food, ordered a lamb biriyani takeout. No salt, called the restaurant after getting home, instead of an apology was told to just add salt. No intention of going back.

The Indian Lounge is very relaxed, nice food. This evening, my curry was too spicy, not the Indian Lounge fault, my taste is changing and I need to order a less hot curry.

Eaten here many times, however this was the first time post lockdown. Firstly I must state that the food quality is high. Dining relatively early on a Saturday evening, was surprised how busy the restaurant was, but it was good to see. Tables were as closely situated as pre-pandemic and the service was very slow and I noted tables being served who had been seated long after ours. We waited over an hour for our food, with another lengthy wait for the bill. Whilst it is heartening to see this popular restaurant doing such good business the volume generated by the closely packed tables and slow service resulted in this being poor overall experience.

First visit last night and we'd definitely go back. Lovely food, which was well presented and expertly served. Menu includes scallops, monkfish, lobster and a whole variety of unusual dishes. Very good value too. A lovely clean restaurant with excellent spaces between tables and really nice ambience.

Really nice food (and I am extremely fussy) quality Meat and fantastic spice blend we ordered a taxi which took a very long time but a waiter offered to take us home which we thought was great and I’d course offered him £10 for the fare but he refused this shows the great customer going above and beyond

Visited on 21/06/21 took my Father for his father's day meal as I was not able to go on Sunday. The meal was so lovely and well presented so well done to the chef. However the tall man working in their either waiter or manager is rude and arrogant not once did he say please or thank you. Brought the meals out before we even finished the popadoms. No complimentary chocolate or Bailey's offered, he blatantly told me that my bank card is contactless even though I told him it was not he replied " all cards are contactless " I said " not mine " He should be behind the scenes as he has no customer service skills at all he is rude, I did leave a tip not for him but the chef as the food was good, however I never even got a thank you for the tip. I will not go back there to pay good money to be treated inappropriately. My 2 friends went on 25/06/21 and they experienced the same treatment from the same guy, rudeness etc. My friend also said that the meal was good but more expensive than the other restaurants on the same road, she agreed with me that because of how rude this guy was she would not visit the place again either. A message to the chef if you leave their let us know where you go and we will follow you as the food was lovely. Please attend a course in customer service and learn to use manners and to smile. Totally rude

Although all meat was cooked to perfection. I must say the meals were bland. Nan breads were the best thing about the meal. There was no flavour or heat in anything Very disappointed.

We went here with the family (6 adults) the initial thought was how clean and modern it was and we were welcomed nicely and taken to a table. The waiter who took our order was not so nice, he came across quite rude and irritated by us ordering different things and quantities ( all off the menu nothing extra ordinary or making special requests). The food arrived and it was delicious, really nice quality, great combinations of flavors and spices really nice to eat. The other waiters we pleasant, it’s just a shame we had the miserable one otherwise I would have scored 4/5 on my review

I’m giving this a 3 star. Atmosphere was lovely, lovely curry. However the waiter last night with a beard.. I suggest you find another job. Whilst serving me and my family.. a table of 9. You were calling out “chicken Rogan josh, chicken, chicken” so we basically just told you to leave it somewhere on the table. Then after one of my family members didn’t have their food, we gathered that was in fact the lamb rogan josh. Which you didn’t call out. You then responded by saying “I’ve been saying it for 5 mins; you’re not listening” how dare you speak to one of your customers like this? Your mood was disgusting too, you didn’t smile once, just swanned around drinking a glass of water throughout the restaurant. The other 2 waiters, well done. You made it a lovely experience... you the one with the beard however, get yourself a new job. Don’t know whether you’re one of the staff or you’re the manager... but You have no people skills so working in a restaurant is obviously not the job for you.

This is the 3rd time that we have ordered a takeaway delivered to Exeter drive Marston Green. We can honestly say the delivery was within 45 mins and the curry was absalutly amazing. Chicken so tender "proper breast Chicken" and the sauce is lovely. Highly recommended
